Anniversary Day 2 Events
Previously, I had shared with you a glimpse of what happened on our first-day celebration for our seventh wedding anniversary. I could say that we didn’t do much, it was just a trip to the villa where we had booked an overnight stay. Being parents, it is not important now that we have a romantic night, a good sleep in a good bed was enough, truly, I didn’t regret sleeping early because the next day, I had so much energy!

And immediately, I turned the laptop on, did some online hustles, and then tended my baby afterward. See, having an infant on a trip will consume a lot of our time but the main goal of this trip is to get away, to enjoy our time together, just the three of us. But yes, we do have my niece with us but this young lady is very close to our heart that before having Matti, we had always asked her to visit us in Cebu, she’s like our first daughter, my husband is her godfather by the way.
I cooked breakfast, easy ones, corned beef, and meatloaf. Surprisingly, the husband already cooked rice which was really appreciated! I prepared the table and we all enjoyed the view of the pool and the jacuzzi while eating, the glass walls and doors are really nice because we can have a view of the outside while at the dining table.
The next thing I knew, we were already in the pool, enjoying the waters. My baby boy loved playing in the waters now, I just wished that the pool had a shallow part for kids but this was just a small square pool, enough for two or three persons though but it's 4.5 feet deep and so I had to carry Matti all the time. There’s also a hanging nest-looking hammock at the pool which was cool.
As for the jacuzzi, the water was cold so we didn’t bother using it. We just spent our time at the pool instead, we made a quick timelapse while swimming and enjoying our time.
Then it was time to prepare for checkout. We were already tired from swimming at the pool, we also ate beside the pool to reenergize but by ten, we had enough so we just took a bath in the spacious comfortable room. I love that the villa has hot and cold showers because I love the hot shower! Also, the comfort room uses natural light! Its ceiling has a transparent roof for natural light to get in during the day, I was amazed!
After this, we took photographs of the family, there were three spots that I set up, in the living room, in the dining area and the bed. Taking photos with a child is just so challenging that we had to entertain him with some Super Jojo videos on the iPad! It’s a lifesaver! It was just quick and we were already done!
Check-out time was at noon so we were already heading out by that time, got my ID back too! We planned on going to a coffee shop but stopped by McDonald's for lunch then went to Common Crew, a coffee shop with good design, minimalistic with an industrial taste. I love it!
Then our next stop was at this Fortridge Food Park where there were too many food stalls we had a hard time thinking about what to buy. But our time was consumed with Matti just running around, he enjoyed the place but my husband and I wondered because there’s something off of the place, it isn’t photogenic! Anyway, we bought fish food so we can feed the Koi fishes in the pond. It’s Matti’s first time to feed but he had a hard time throwing the food into the water. My niece came to the rescue and helped him out. It’s fun and relaxing to see the fishes swim here and there just to get food.
At the end of the day, we just got ourselves fries from Potato Fries, my niece’s favorite. She was the happiest because all our entrance fees were consumable and she bought it all for potato fries. And then we took more photos around, there was a playground and a lot of corners where we can take photographs and selfies. We also went to the viewing deck which has a view of Tagbilaran City. Then we headed to the Fortridge’s LOVE sign at the property’s road area.
The skies were telling us to go because it was about to rain. We immediately got into the car and headed home. While inside the car, we were playing this game where we have a specific category and whoever can’t give an entry for that category loses the game. We had fun that we didn’t notice we were already home! My favorite category was the naming of countries, heroes, and local places. It was a way of reviewing what we had learned back in school. My husband and niece enjoyed it too, we had so much laughter while Matti was asleep all the way.
