I hope you all are doing fine amidst of the shortcomings and uncertainties we may feel day by day. Always remember that a positive life is a happy life. β¨
I attended school for 14 years and of course I learned a lot. School stuffs and all. Improving once well being and character growth were taught as well, and its up to the student whether to take it seriously or not. And thought, learning only is turning around at school. Not unless, I became an employee.
For two years and four months at the industry I am in, I learned a lot of things. More learnings. More realization. And one thing I learned and realized, there are several reasons why an employee stays on the company.
An employee stays when they are;
PAID WELL. Salary is the first thing we consider when applying for a work. And we even asked for our expected salary during our interview. Actually, in our company we do not have the biggest salary compared to other companies around, but I guess the amount is already enough to provide the employee's need and even the need of the family. And with being paid well, does not only mean the amount you received. Personally, it means as well the transparency why you got that certain amount, reason for some deductions, and the timely release of the salary which I do not have any complain with the company I have. In our end, we do not experienced any delay of our pay. When it says, at the 10th and 25th of the month that will really be on that day. And that I can say we are paid well.
VALUED. I guess aside from being paid well, being valued is one of the best feeling to have in a company you are working with. Because who would not want to be valued? We have this survey in our end every second Monday of the month that is raised to the CEO of the company. On that survey, we can raise all our concerns. Everything. When I say everything, it can be about your salary concern, your complain about your supervisor, and the like. Just everything. And what's good thing, as I observed all the concerns raised were realized. It just shows that our company truly is an employee centered that listens to the voice of the majority.
APPRECIATED. This as well is one of the main reason why an employee stays. It is such a good feeling that whatever you do that helps the company will be appreciated. A simple thank you will do. But the company is doing more. And it shows on the incentives we received. And that how we continue to performed well as we can see that we are being appreciated. That the effort we make made an impact and not put into waste.
MENTORED. Personally, this is what I like the most in the company. That they allot time to mentor the employees. We have this bridge in our end that if the employee will not meet the matrix to continue, aside from removing the right away from the account, they will be given a chanc and they will be mentored again. And that how I see that they gave importance to the employee. And mentoring them does not focus on how you do the work, but also they are mentoring you to improve your well being. Mentoring you in personal ways as well.
No company is perfect. But how they control this imperfection is what makes it perfect. I always wanted that most of the company will see their employees as the frontliners. That employees will be seen as the most important individual and will be compensated well. Will be treated well. And will be listened to. No works will be done without the employees. And as employees, we as well need to do the best we can do to help the company. Life as well is a win-win situation. What you do to others, will come back to you. A golden rule. Boomerang!
