Intestinal worms and other parasites can cause (or contribute to) a long list of diseases, even death. Some of them have the ability to turn off parts of the immune system, and they can block the effect of vaccination and medication.
Every veterinarian knows that it is useless to vaccinate a dog unless it is first free from parasitic worms, so deworming first is standard. Otherwise the vaccination will not "take".
Parasitic worms, if left undisturbed, will gradually harm the immune system. They simply turn off certain functions of it, so it leaves them alone to thrive (and that is why it does not react to a vaccination either). Thus, in the long perspective, they can contribute to a considerable number of diseases.
This applies to humans as well. Worms and other parasites can block various processes and sometimes block the effect of certain chemical medicines. When it comes to natural substances, it goes without saying that something blocking immune functions also blocks the effect of a treatment that is designed to stimulate immune function.
If you stubbornly resist a treatment, especially if it is a natural one, deworming is well worth a try. Even if it does not help against all possible parasites.
Chemical deworming bears risks, since it involves quite toxic substances. One simply poisons the worms, so they die and leave the body through the faeces. But the poisons used for that will harm you as well. Fortunately nature offers an almost perfect alternative: papain. It is a protein-splitting enzyme, which is sometimes used to stimulate digestion. But it does not just help you digest your food, it causes a total dissolution of all known kinds of intestinal worms and their eggs! And it does so without harming you in any way whatsoever!
Natural papain is found in papaya. Very little though in the ripe pulp. The highest levels are found in the pulp of unripe fruit, in the leaves, and in the seeds.
Chewing the leaves or the seeds is the easiest way to utilize this. When I am eating papaya, I always keep and dry the seeds, then I eat a few every day. A good way to prevent worms!
If you already have worms, or suspect that you do, and want to do a deworming treatment, you might need to take a teaspoon of seeds three times per day during some weeks. Meanwhile, it is important to keep down the level of protein in the food (not to increase the workload of the papain).
Seeds should be thoroughly chewed. The taste is strong, but not unpleasant once you get used to it.
Various papaya extracts with papain are available commercially. Most of them are adequate and may be the only alternative if you have no access to real papaya.
But if you have the natural fruit available, why not use it?
Other fruit which contain protein-splitting enzymes include pineapple and kiwi. The enzyme in pineapple, bromelain, is sometimes used to “soften” tumours, so other medication can easier reach into them. Bromelain also has a number of other medical effects.
Sometimes the name, Bromelain, is used about a combination of compounds from pineapple (including the enzyme), rather than about the enzyme itself. These two uses of the word might cause confusion.
Apart from their obvious nutritional value, fruit such as papaya, pineapple, or kiwi, can be used to support digestion. The enzymes assist in the splitting of proteins.
WARNINGS:
Despite the fact that most species of fruit are packed with vitamins, minerals and fibre, some fruits have so strong medicinal effects that people with certain ailments should avoid them. Papaya belongs to them. It has many positive effects; apart from the deworming described above, it has shown to lessen the risk for diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure. However, if you suffer from hyperthyroidism or irregular heartbeat, you should avoid papaya. This because it can trigger a production of hydrogen cyanide; the amount is normally harmless, but not for people suffering from these two conditions. You should also avoid papaya if you have kidney stones or latex allergy. Finally, for women: do not eat papaya during pregnancy, since it can trigger contractions and labour.

Hello, Mictorrani! Thank you for sharing knowledge about health, I congratulate you on an excellent article! 🤔One question: In the case of the leaves of the plant could be made a kind of infusion and would have the same effect as ingesting the seeds of the fruit? I send you greetings from Venezuela🤗!
