A Harrowing Experience: Prison Life I just read a harrowing experience about a lady who was poised to make it big in the banking industry but got into big trouble due to carelessness. So, here it is. Back in 2003, Annabel (not real name) had a flourishing banking career in one of the new generation banks. Due to her outstanding performance and dedication to duty, she was rewarded by the bank with rapid promotion. With fat pay cheque as a branch manager and family vacation abroad, life was sweet until suddenly, everything came crashing down. From the comfort of her beautiful home, Annabel found herself in the prison where she spent three years in detention over huge sums of money she had taken from customers’ accounts to assist her immediate boss who was in trouble. In this edition, she narrates to Encounter her grace to grass story, how being in prison saved her life and intriguing lifestyle of the female prisoners. **How It Began** I never imagined that I will find myself in prison one day. As the problem I had at work began to unfold, it occurred to me that I might eventually go to prison over the matter. At that point, the thought of prison began to flash on my mind. Ironically, every step I took to avoid going to prison got me into more trouble. I was in prison for three and half years as an awaiting trial inmate. I was given a very stringent bail condition and since I couldn’t meet the terms, I had to remain in prison. **The Problem** I had an immediate boss who joined our bank from another bank. Before he left us, he had a problem with our bank and was highly indebted to us. So he requested my assistance saying that the police were after him. He particularly pleaded with me to remove some money from my high networth clients’ accounts to cover his own transactions and that within two weeks, he would repay the money. He kept crying and pleading with me that he would lose his job if he didn’t repay his indebtedness to the bank which was as a result of some forex investment transactions which he claimed were hanging. Without doing my own investigation to ascertain whether what he was saying was true, I just gave him the huge money that he requested. He did all the documentations and being the head then, he had the authority to liquidate the bad investment. I co-signed the liquidation as his assistant. Days turned into weeks, months and years, still there was no sign on his part about repaying the money I took from customers’ accounts. After waiting for a while, I became worried. I later discovered the he was actually a very dubious person as some serious bad loans were also linked to him. He was asked to leave the bank majorly because of those bad loans. At that point, I became really jittery but he further assured me that once he gets a job, he will repay the money I took from customers’ accounts. Even after he got a new job, he still didn’t show seriousness about giving me the money. One day, he called me to say that he needed a million to sort out a matter which had to do with the problem and he had been locked up in a police station somewhere. I still sent him the money believing he will sort out the matter as he promised. I became a manager after he was sacked. After a while, customers began to ask for their funds. When the matter was getting out of hand, I began to take money from other customers to pay those that were really troubling me. So it became a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul. I was really confused because my former boss refused to pay back the money. On one occasion, he paid about one quarter of the fund and that was all. I soon realised I was alone in the problem and kept looking for ways to pacify the affected customers but every action I took, got me deeper into trouble until the bubble burst and a customer got the police to arrest me. I also fell victim to another colleague who offered to introduce me to import business from which I could use the profit to settle the problem I had in my bank. She ended up defrauding me and never returned the money I gave her. I was really in total mess during that period. **Trial** After my initial arraignment, the matter suffered several adjournments until I was granted bail in very strong terms. The condition attached to the bail was like bringing back my grandmother from the grave. My lawyer eventually requested for variation of the bail conditions after I had spent about three years in prison and the court was magnanimous enough to grant it which led to my release. This was about 11 years ago. At some point, the trial was transferred to another judge and then subsequently to another judge again. Each time we move to one court, the matter would start afresh. I also spent huge amount of money on several lawyers for that long period. **Engagement In Prison** I am a very restless person so I spent my time in prison getting involved in a lot of things. I enrolled for a course in the National Open University and also began to teach some of the inmates preparing for the examination. The activities actually helped me to keep my mind off from my problems. **Punishment** Punishment is part of the prison system and I believe that without punishment, the place would really be a total mess. Phones are not allowed inside the prison but you would still find inmates that have phones and make calls any time they like. I have witnessed when an inmate was caught with a phone and was kept in a single cell. Inside that single cell, there is no space for movement and the inmate would only stand or sit. The inmate was also deprived of food for days, would also urinate and defecate there. I experienced it once and I can tell you that it was hell inside hell. **Feeding** The food in the prison was very terrible that even a hungry dog will reject it. We eat beans every morning throughout the week. The eba and egusi soup served in the afternoon is without fish or meat. It is only on special occasions like Christmas, New Year, Easter celebration that we eat small pieces of meat. **Sober Reflection** I didn’t plan to go to the prison but I can tell you that the experience had a significant impact on my life. Sometimes I feel bad knowing where I could have been if the problem that sent me there didn’t occur, but I still remain grateful to God because it could have been worse for me too. Sometimes too, I wish I could just erase my brain so that I don’t remember anything. Those were my thoughts then but when I came out, I started appreciating all that I went through. I am still trying to properly reintegrate into the society but my experience in prison has helped me to be strong. My story was really about falling from grace to grass and I was always thinking of committing suicide just to end it all. At the onset of my problem before I got into the prison, any time I drove through the 3rd Mainland bridge, I always had the mind to just park my car and jump into the lagoon. On several occasions, I almost did it because I could not imagine how I would be able to get out of the trouble I got myself into. Ironically when I got into the prison and began to hear other inmates’ cases, I realised that my case was not as bad as I had thought. The suicide thought vanished immediately since then. ***Note: This article is mostly an extract from*** ***nairaland.com******, excerpted and republish under open to use licence.*** https://www.nairaland.com/7124610/how-prison-saved-me-committing **Conclusion** There are other parts of the article that I can't even make reference to, as they are too much for me; the rape, the violence, the deaths, the circumstantial and/or forced lesbian/gay sex etc. Prison life is no joke. The prison system might have been built for rehabilitation purposes, but in practice, it has nothing to do with rehabilitation and everything to do with punishment and stripping whatever is left of the human dignity in those it catches. After reading this, do you still want to continue in that illegal trade? Do you still want to keep defrauding people? Do you still want to live everyday with the threat of prison looming around you? Prison doesn't rehabilitate or toughen you, don't deceive yourself. It breaks whatever humanity is left in you. It takes a lot for anyone to go in there and make it out a better person. So live tight and work right, so I don't have to read this kind of account about you. ***Thanks for reading...***

Get Even Or Get Over It?? Again, I got home pretty exhausted, seem like that is my new normal these days and what's funny about it is that I'm not even working or anything for myself. I've spend most of the last two week running errand for my folks who seem to have no idea how exhausting it's becoming for me. I could say no to them, but the likelihood that they will understand is almost zero. One of the biggest problem I have with this is that when I'm physically drained to the core, I'm almost always mentally drained as well, so it's impossible to come up with a really creative article. At times like these, my go-to is a prompt and as of today, it looks like @Itsfarah is the one to the rescue with this prompt she wrote. **Get Even Or Over It** Without been told, you can tell this is a question of what your response would be to a wrong. As with most things, the answer depends on the kind of person you are. A very strict or wicked person will likely get even, while a very kind and compassionate person will probably get over it. I'm not necessarily any of those. Growing up, my parents taught me the virtue of forgiveness, but they also taught me how to stand for myself, so it was really up to us to know when to get over it or get even. But eventually the forgiveness part did win the battle. As of today, when I'm offended, I'll give you a really good piece of my mind, but I'll eventually let it go. **Have No Phone Or No Internet** I don't know, but as of today, there's really nothing you can do with one without the other. Since the mass adoption of the android phone, our phones are now for so much more then making calls. As a matter of fact, if your android device doesn't have internet connection, it's almost useless to you. So, this choice is not one to be made. It's either I have both or I have none. **Be Invisible Or Read Minds** Both of these things allow you to come t the knowledge of things majority of people won't want you to, but which suite me more? Well, why mind reading is a very beautiful, subtle and powerful gift, it's one that can be easily abused and that can weigh heavily on our mental health due to the constant noise of people thoughts. Invisibility on the other hand is a gift that requires active and deliberate utilisation. So, I still get to know the things people do want me to know, but only when I want to and on my own terms. This will make it easy for me to get the benefits and still maintain my mental health. **Be Able To Pause Time Or Rewind Time** If I were to have the gift of pausing time, what will that do for me other than make me get or do something a little faster than others. But imagine you could rewind time, the things you can do, oh boy! It would allow you relive a single moment that you cherish multiple times, on a loop if need be. You could rewind time to cause changes in events that will result in so much good. Life will be so much better, cos if things gets messed up, I'll just rewind time and make sure they don't happen in the first place. But in the hand of the wrong person, this could spell misery and doom. I'll be stopping here, so I can catch a little sleep. I have to wake up early tomorrow, cos I got this thing I need to do. Bye folks. ***Thanks for making out time to read this article of mine..***

Reality Vs Imagination I have finally come to the realization that, what I've been going through this past few days is what is known as writer's block. Before now, I was thinking or choose to see it as an extension of my emotional state, which was and is still going through a stretch, but I admit it to be what it is now. Naturally, due to that I find it hard to write. It's not like I find it hard to pick a topic or get the materials needed to write about it, the problem is actually writing it. I've been scraping through though, and today's no different and only because a prompt I first saw on @Jumper-01 blog which he seemed to have drawn from @Gianna-B 's blog is coming to the rescue. Here goes nothing... **When You Are Alone What Do You Usually Think Of ?** I'm a person with a very active mind, so I'm always doing something or thinking something in that head of mine, even when I'm sleeping. So when I'm alone, that's a lot of free time to think. What do I think about? What I think about at such times can be as random as a dice roll. The reason is because I'm incapable of just focusing on a thing at a time, so most times, I'm thinking about multiple things at a go. This definitely always include my family, friends, health, finances, my future, as well as a bunch of abstract and random things such as God, politics, societal norm, football etc. **Which One Wins ; Reality or Imagination**? I remember a time when I had a very wide imagination, like the widest of imaginations. That's was a while back, when life hadn't fully kicked me in the ass. It's not like I don't have it anymore, I just don't let it thrive. Whenever it's trying to get expressed, I'm always quick to tame it. You may ask why? I could answer you by saying, because I grew up or I could say I've come to see the reality of life. When one is younger, it's easy to have great and terrific imaginations, but as you grow up and begin to take responsibility for yourself, you begin to live less in that fantasy world. Your reality begins to materialize and become clear before your very eyes. Nowadays, I just try to see and live in the reality, because life has a way of just playing with you and if you're not seeing, accepting and living your reality, life will hit you with surprises and hit you hard. So, reality wins for me, all the time. **Can Human Avoid Being In Love ?** Humans are social creatures by default, hence the need to form a social bond with other members of their kind is natural. Humans also have needs and one of those is emotional, and one of those emotions is that of love. But humans are also highly intelligent creatures, capable of mastery and manipulation of their emotions. So, when you look at it from that viewpoint, it's easy to see that humans can avoid being in love, and I'm sure people have successfully done it before.. **Is Your Life Going In The Direction You Want** ? This question is both a tricky and a reflective one. The truth is, like the majority of people out there, I can't answer this question with a simple yes or no, it's more than that. Life's complicated and despite our best efforts, that complication finds it way to us, and as such life rarely goes completely in the direction you want it to. There are those of course, who are fortunate to just have it so, but that kind of grace isn't from anybody, right?? **Conclusion** You know, something about that last question makes me sober. It's a question that demand reflection and introspection. The answer to that question can make an article in and of itself. ***Thanks for reading...***

Don't Ask Depending on who's looking, today marks the end or beginning of another week. I can help but think about how most people are just going to do all over again, the exact same thing they did last week, last month, last year etc. The unending cycle and to what end? I don't know, just thinking out loud. Okay, I know that's a lazy and somewhat sad way to start an article, but like always, was just trying to be honest as it is in my head. So, earlier today, I got caught up in a conversation about the word of God, the Bible. As a general precaution, this is a very delicate subject of discussion anywhere or anytime it comes up. It's important you remember how much people sensitivities can be offended when discussing such matters with extreme importance and consequences to the identity of who they are and their 'culture'. Someone asked a question, 'God created Adam and Eve, and they had Cain, Abel and Seth. Cain killed Abel and was banished and the Bible record him having children. The woman who carried his child, where did she come from?'. This was the question asked and as I would expect on matters than have leanings towards any religion, hell was let loose, a bit, OK maybe I'm exaggerating. Three groups quickly formed. The group who believe the question was very reasonable and all about learning and understanding. The group who thought it was totally ridiculous and almost blasphemous for even asking, and the group who thought that there was something there, but the intent of the question matters a lot in deciding to answer it. I've got to say, it was a good debate, I hadn't had one in a long time before then. I learnt quite a few things from that debate and I'm to treat them a little. **Religious Fanaticism** I don't know what it is about some Christian, that they just get on the defensive whenever their faith or claims are been questioned. People who dare to question these are quickly labelled with atrocious tags. You don't have to insult me, attack my character or call me names for daring to ask questions concerning the Christian faith and my understanding of it. How are unbelievers going to get saved if you have issues answering their earnest questions, just because you can't answer it or it seems to threaten your faith. This is bordering the line of religious fanaticism. Teach what you know, and accept you don't know what you don't know, then seek knowledge yourself instead of hiding in your ignorance. **Christianity Is All About Blind Faith** In the midst of the debate, I couldn't believe that someone would actually still believe that Christianity is a religion based on the blind faith. This is cliché. Christianity is and always will be based on faith that isn't blind, but inquisitive and eager to learn. Like legit, people were of the opinion that you should ask such questions. The faith true Christian practice require the usage of our mind and 'spirit man' in the process. **Inquisitive Christians Are Unbelievers** This is the saddest of all today. From the last point above, you can see how this goes. There's nothing wrong in asking hard questions that it "seems even the Bible can't answer", why? Cos there are unbelievers out there who would probably be in the faith, if they had answers to these questions. When inquisitive Christians ask these kind of questions, they just want to understand, and ensures they aren't blindsided when unbelievers ask these questions for them. **Conclusion** A lot of these are so wrong that I'm finding a hard time leaving it alone. But whether we like it or not, we are going to have to accept that these questions has and will continue to be wise. I understand some reservations that such questions is an indirect questioning of the existence of God himself, and I disagree. These questions might seemingly be bothering on blasphemy, but it ain't the questions that should mattef but the intent behind it. With this, I rest my incoherent case.

Read.cash And Me 2.0 I have been thinking about what to write and I'm finding it hard to come up with something, so I thought I might as well lay out the rest of my thoughts on this unfinished topic. You can find the 1.0 **here** https://read.cash/@Methion/readcash-and-me-68d3c8d8 I've detailed some of the benefits hence reasons that makes read.cash a place to be, but that isn't all there is to it though. The truth is there are always more then one side to a thing and read.cash is no different. Note: Everything I'm going to say here isn't a review of read.cash, but rather a review of my relationship with it; which is something I have complete control over and I'm totally responsible for. Sometimes, I wonder what the real reason for this platform is. Of course, we know it rewards authors with bitcoincash, but why BCH? Why not litecoin or shibainu? I'll say, it's to propagate BCH and increase awareness and adoption, yea. Well, going back to my relationship with the platform, it's quite a complicated one. I mean, it's sort of confused and complicated, for a lack of a better description. In the spirit of helping the adoption and development of BCH, a lot of authors here encourage us to hodl our BCH and they do so, leading by example. But for some other authors like myself, the rewards we get from this platform goes to financing our day to day living expense. You could think of it as a second job for someone whose first job isn't enough to cover his basic living cost. Due to this fact, we tend to grind very hard, through, interacting and posting daily to increase our chances of earning and earning well. The need to grind as much as possible pushes us to such limits as we would necessarily not tolerate under normal circumstances. I for one, I've become a nocturnal creature due to my need to interact as much as I can daily. I developed this routine in my early days as I was trying to get my name out there on this platform. Today,the consequences is here with me, as I can no longer find sleep unless it's quite late into the night and commonly well into the next early morning. Another thing nowadays, is that I'm kind of addicted to read.cash. Maybe not the platform itself, but the reward it offers. I can no longer think straight if I haven't posted for the day. Spending all my time on read is beginning to affect my ability to socialise in real life. Sometimes I now find it hard to connect with my friends. Taking all of it into account, you'll realise I seem to have a love-hate relationship with this platform. It's not easy to navigate that, but I'm still here. **Closing Thoughts** You know, the benefits I get from this platform is much, but like every other seemingly free thing in life, it comes with a price, a seemingly underlying cost. Sometimes and for some people, it can be or seem a little steep to pay. There are days I've thought of leaving it for good, but I can't, I need it for the reward and the freedom/platform to express myself and so on. But the main reason I haven't given up, are you guys. You make it all worth it. ***I want to use this opportunity to appreciate all my sponsors who's got my back despite it, I'm grateful to you guys. To all the folk who considered my article worthy enough to subscribe to me, I appreciate you all. My readers, commenters and upvoters, you guys are the real MVP, I'm indeed grateful to you all.***

Shine Your Light There is a lot of darkness in the world that we live in today. If you really can't see that darkness, it's either one of two reasons, the light around where you are us so bring that you can't see the dark or you are just so oblivious to the darkness that you can't see it at all. When I say darkness, I don't mean literal absence of light, I'm talking about all the hate and pain and wickedness that is everywhere in the world today. I can't really say that this darkness is everywhere because some places just have so much light that it almost seems like they are not a part of the world itself. It doesn't matter how we look at it, there will always be this variation. While others have no food to eat, others have in affluence and they even waste it. While some can't afford good clothes, there are people who go shopping outside the country because they can. I have never really understood how it works and I guess I never will. Do we sit back with our eyes closed against the darkness when there's a light inside of us, or do we stand up and let that light go burning the darkness to the ground. It starts with a first step, a step of boldness to pluck out the reins of darkness with just a flicker of light. That flicker of light may never be enough to consume the darkness but do you know what it does? It gives others the sign that they too can turn on their lights, whether in flickers or in flood lamps it doesn't matter because pretty soon it will all become a kingdom of light and this goes darkness. These are not just though guys we should harbour in our minds or write about or talk about,they are things that we need to do because people need us and our light. So if you encounter a darkness, now is not the time to go hiding and screaming for fear, now is the time to summon up courage and say no. Now is the time to bring out that big out lamp and let the light come raining in. A line from a movie I can never forget once said: "As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do same" **Closing Thoughts**.. It doesn't matter what gender you are, race, ethnicity, age or religion, it's not about me and you but about helping the people who can't help themselves. We so this because we must, cos that light was given to us to shine. How you shine it is up to you but you should never for once doubt that there is a light inside of you. Use it! ***Thanks for reading and let it shine!***

Relationship Talks It's been another long day for me folks. Hope your day was great? Mine was productive but hectic. I should be sleeping already, but I just have to write something, even though I'm completely drained, so I'll go for something quick, short and simple. This draft has been in my wps app for weeks now. I don't even remember anymore the person who first posted about it here. If you're the one l, please forgive me for not mentioning you. Guess it's time to post it. If you were ask these questions about your relationship, what would your answer be? Tell me in the comment section. Here's mine. **Best Friend To Partner Or Partner To Best Friend??** First of, let's analyze both of these. If I have to turn my partner into a best friend, that implies that I really don't know her much as at the time we committed to each other, but if I'm turning a best friend into a partner, then the reverse is the case. Well, if I was involved in a romantic relationship, I would want it to be one that's full of happiness and understanding. This is something that can only be achieved if you and your partner know each other well. Knowing my partner in ways that friends know each other, will help me treat her right. You know, there's this 'love at first sight thing' people do these days. It's not like it's a bad thing, this is a typical example of having to turn a partner to a friend. The problem here is that you'd already be in a relationship before you start the process of getting to know each other, and that's not the best if you ask me. If I'm turning my best friend to my partner, then she already knows me fully, my likes and my dislikes, my goals and aspirations. These will make for a better and blissful relationship frim the get go. So, for me, it's best friend to partner. **Introduce Your Partner To Your Parents Early Or Late??** I think it all depends on the type of parents one has and the kind of relationship on question. As for me though, I think I'll prefer my partner meets my parents early, every other thing been equal. But then again there's a possibility my dad doesn't like her and that sure will scare her away at that early stage. Even though I prefer my partner meeting my parents early, my current partner was introduced to them not quite long and we can call that late, but apparently, all my fears were unfounded as it turned out they loved her, probably more than they do me now😁. So yea, I'll prefer early. Another reason why I prefer early is so that you don't get too involved, just in case your parents do not give their approval. It would far easier to end it if it's still early than if it's later. **Hang With Friends Or Intim**ate Date Night With Partner?? This is a tricky question, but ermm, I think the answer is circumstantial. Depending on the prevailing circumstances, I might choose a night out with the guys over an intimate date night. I mean, there are times I'm kind of out of sort and seemingly emotionally distant. At that emotional level, I can connect with people that are just friends, but I'll find it hard with my partner, cos it will seem shallow and forced and I like to think she deserves better than that. But, on a normal day, I'll definitely go for an intimate date night with my partner. Who would pass on that? Definitely not me. That's it for today.. Thanks for reading ..

Live Life Your Way You see, the world is such a wonderful place for so many reasons. Sometimes, I look at the way men live and I can't help but wonder why they feel so arrogant, just because they are at the top of the food chain. For as long as I can remember, I've been told how to live an appropriate life, for the lack of a better combination of words. Growing up, through all the different mechanisms of education in this giant system of indoctrination called parenting and child rearing, I was taught ways to do this and do that, way to think, react, what to be in life etc. This is our reality today and I'm not going to thread that line recklessly. As we grow from one developmental stage to another, our guardians usually conditions us in ways they think we are better suited to handle the rigours of that stage and this is good as we can't be left to ourselves or as a tabula raza. All the indoctrination across all developmental stages are meant to do one thing for you; help you become a successful and wealthy person. Yea, the end point is quite universal today. Like I said, we are raised by our guardians to do this in a certain way, but do we really have to do it that way? **Life Isn't Programmed** One of the most stupid human belief is that we control our destinies, that we can harness and manipulate anything and on the basis of this knowledge, we can start a thing and be able to predict the end. This is what the whole society indoctrination thing is built on. The most stupid human behavior is that we actually try to live that way, like we can determine what will be. The truth is, there's no handbook for the best way to live, the way to succeed, the way to get a girlfriend. Life is like the travelling in a well connected city. There's no one way to get to a destination, there are usually so many way and they all have days and reasons they would seem best, but it ain't mean any is better than the other. Like it or not, it's just the way it is. What walks for you might not work for me, what walks for your parents might not walk for you. You've got to find your part and make your peace with it. Everybody will naturally have expectations of you, but you've got to understand, it ain't their life. You ain't live theirs for them, so they don't get to dictate how you should live yours. Take their advice of course, look at their recommendations, but if it ain't jibe with what you want for yourself, toss it out and move ahead. There are days it would seem easier to just let others make the hard decisions of your life and you just live that script, but I advise you to not fall for that illusion, cos you'll be living a life of misery. You gotta learn to be your own man. You just need to create your own style. Trying to live the way people want will just steal away your peace of mind cos at the end of the day, it ain't going to be enough. Just be true to yourself, first and foremost. The day you start being yourself, that's only when you can unlock the key to inner peace of mind, self respect and ego. **Nothing To Prove** You got nothing to prove anyone. Live your life. Enjoy your Life and your freedom. It's okay to take tips, advice and corrections when they come your way, as long as you're not just doing it to satisfy others, but yourself also. ***That's it for today.. Thanks for reading this article.***

@Methion

Read.Cash And Me I've been trying to examine my relationship with read.cash all day. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking it's bothering along addictive. You know, read.cash is a wonderful platform for a lot of reasons and I appreciate it so. Some of those reasons include: **Self-Expression** It's a platform that allows you to express yourself in ways that you can't do with people, virtual or present, without feeling weak, less or vulnerable. In a manner of speaking, it offers just enough veil to give you the confidence to be utterly reckless and honest, without fear of anyone looking at you with pity or as crazy. **Creativity** As a platform that demands quality articles both figuratively and literally, it demands of it users, to write at their best level possible at the moment. But on a platform with thousands of users, there's hardly ever going to be a shortage of quality articles, hence for one to be known in this space, you're indirectly nudged to be creative and unique in your own way. This will allow you be a member of the community that also has an individual identity. This way, you get to have the community as well as your individual identity in the online space. Take a look at some of the biggest names on the platforms such as @Fexonice1 , @HappyBoy , @wakeupkitty , @Princessbusayo , @FarmGirl , @Ruffa , @Jane, @Theblackdoll etc, you'll notice they have either a particular niche, a particular style of writing, a particular way they try to pass their message in their writings. In the multitude of articles published on this platform everyday, their individuality ain't lost. They've come to be known for something, their own personal virtual identity. **Tolerance And Acceptance** It's one of the few online space that's still left to be contaminated by the toxicity and intolerance we see on the internet today. On this platform, people know how to agree to disagree. Everybody's opinion is valid and tolerated. One of the biggest turnoff of traditional social media today is the amount of hate, toxicity, intolerance and attacks that's now become a default on those platforms. But here on read.cash, users are usually kind and thoughtful, only hoping to add value to your articles and nothing more. There was this day @Eybyoung posted something that offended my senses. I thought to myself, she must be misogynistic, and I was just so pissed that I had to let her know. So, I did that in the comment section of that post. She took it so well, and further clarified her position on the matter and then I understood where she was speaking from. If I had any doubt as to the level of tolerance on this platform, that day cleared all of it away. Now imagine this scenario between me and @Eybyoung , try it on any of the social media platform and watch as h*ll's fury is unleashed on you. **Crypto Reward** The one that most of us love, the green currency. The idea of earning while writing for whatever reason you do it, would have seem impossible to me, until I came across read.cash. Depending on your reason for writing, the kindness of the user's tip and that of the green not of course, might not mean much to you, but the idea that you're getting incentives at all for something you probably are already doing for nothing anyways, has got to mean something. **Author's Thought** ***Despite all these though, my relationship with read is not really that easy to describe. I guess by the time I'm done with the rest part of this article, I would have been able to create a correct presentation of it. That will be in the second part that I'll be posting tomorrow. Stay tuned readizens.*** **Thanks for checking out my article.**

No End In Sight When I got admitted into the university after taking the entrance exam the second time, I thought I had taken a significant step towards changing my life, and it ought to be. I don't know about other students whom I like to think unfortunate today, to have ended up in the federal tertiary education system, but it don't feel that way anymore. I got a course of study that was supposed to last five years and thinking today, I realised I've technically spent more than five years here, and I still have finished my penultimate year. In case you're wondering how that is, it's as a result of the incessant strike action by the universities lecturers union. These people have been at loggerheads with the federal govt (their principal and employer) since what? 2009. So, it's quite unbelievable that they haven't found a solution to their sh*t. Up to two of the five years plus I've been here have been mired with numerous strike actions. For a problem that goes way back to 2009, you would think they would have found a solution and implemented it by now, but I guess not. Most times when they are doing this sh*t, it's the students who just want to be trained and taught that ends up suffering the consequences. Whenever there's a strike, the different parties will be pointing at another to shift the blame. These people once stayed away from the classroom for almost a year in the name of settling a dispute, when a resolution was reached, they were still paid their whole salary for the eight months period. So, it was more like an elongated paid leave and vacation for them. The true victims of this constant shameful drama, are the students, whose life is usually put on hold when things are like this. We suffer for their lack of political or individual will to negotiate effectively. In the time they are on strike, we can't commit to anything cos we don't never know when they'll call it off. This cause us to loss, time, money, wealth, and if cares not taken our sanity. The government is as complicit in this as the unions. When last did you as a graduate go out to look for a job? Let me guess, they required a 5years working experience. In a system where young students life are wasted long enough, they tend to turn up older than they could possibly have thought before going to school. With such a system, how can a sane human being be requiring 5years working experience from people between the age bracket of twenty to twenty two. I mean, come on man, how am I gonna have a five years experience by the age of twenty two when years had been added to my time at school by these industrial actions. It's unfair and quite frankly, it borders discrimination. I really don't know why I'm writing this, it's not like it'll change anything, but I guess I just needed to let some of that go. The worst part is with the elections around the corner, I doubt that those in govt have any time to think of coming to the negotiating table since they are too busy trying to get reelected and reappointed. ***This article is probably very substandard. Please, bear with me, as I'm currently both sleepy and very pained... Thanks for reading my articles***

Applied Christianity Hola friends. How's it going? Hope you went to church? I did and it was wonderful seeing that I hadn't attended in a while. I actually went early, so as to meet the first service, bcos I really don't like spending so much time in church, that I lose sight of why I'm there. So, you can imagine my surprise when service actually started when the first one should have been ending. It was then I got the idea. Obviously the two services had been merged into one due to the exodus of student members as a result of the strike. It was mostly a wonderful service. The first Sunday of every month is Thanksgiving in my church, and that part involves a lot of praising and dancing. I was actually anticipating it, cos there's this joy to it, even if you're one not to dance, like me. When it did come, it was mostly underwhelming. During the Sunday school though, a very controversial topic was discussed. The topic was opposite sex friendship. What was meant to be a learning session would become a debate of the generation Z versus the old school. It highlighted a burgeoning problem we are seeing in Christianity today. It's like there are different generations of Christians with their own characteristics and interpretation of God and his world. The teacher who we can say was representing the old school was saying that in every friendship, it should be defined, with appropriate boundaries, not staying in a locked room alone with someone of the opposite sex, and not tolerating feelings, even hug. The teachers whom were mostly youth, went on the attack on almost every point. I mean seriously, how can you say it's improper for me to lock my doors when I have a female friend over? Just because she's of the opposite sex, I'm suppose to deny her privacy and confidentiality when she visits me? I definitely didn't agree with that. I understand what he was trying to say, but crucifying that was wrong. That's not the real problem here. He was also talking about feelings and boundaries as if they are such mechanical things. I do agree with him on the fact that friendships ought to be defined, beneficial to both parties and with appropriate boundaries. But sometimes, the more time you spend with someone, the more you grow fond of them, and there's the possibility of that growing into something more than friendship. He also said that you can't have someone of the opposite sex as your best friend. I was like, what? You've got to be kidding me. On that point, he was way out of line and we just couldn't take it anymore. The interesting part about all this, was that this teachings were been drawn from the Sunday school manual my church use all over the world. It's most likely written by the general overseer. Why these things can seem archaic, they weren't necessarily wrong. But what was most unpleasant is that it was been taught as if God said it, as if having a female best friend is a wrong or sin. It's okay to teach these things maybe, but let your congregation know that this is more applied Christianity than it is of bible teachings. The reason is that, if it's not made know, people will erroneously take it all in, hook, line and sinker. If they did know, then they will use their own understanding of the word of God and their discernment to choose for themselves, that which is sound doctrine amongst these. **Author's Thoughts** I had a great time in the house of God today, and then followed it up with an evening outing. Overall, today was really great. I've had such a Sunday in a while. It was lovely... Hope your was too? **Thanks for your time**

The Plan And The Execution: Be Flexible It is said that man plans but God executes. We have all heard stories of how people abroad send money home to relatives to help them build houses to a certain specification, only to return to meet something different entirely. That's a typical example of the way my day went. **The Plan** Why going to bed yesterday, I had high hopes for today. I had planned spend the entire with the girl I love, OK maybe not the whole day, but most of it. I already built a mental picture of how the day would go and how much fun we were going to have. It was going to be great. That was the plan. I woke up this morning by 8:00AM, which is pretty early if you consider how late I wake up these days. But then the execution started. **The Execution** While I was getting ready, I got a message from my elder sister. She sent me on an errand that would turn out to be unreasonably hectic. Unreasonable because if not for the instructions she specifically gave me, I could have ran that errand in a way that would have cost me no more than 1/10 the time, stress and money it eventually took. But before I started out, I thought to at least stop by my babe's house, and I did. She seemed really happy to see me, but she was also busy helping out her younger sister. I didn't like the fact that I was playing second fiddle to the younger sister in terms of her attention, so I left angry, but under the guise of going to run my sister's errand. It turned out to be unnecessary hectic and time consuming. By the time I was done and got back to my babe's place, she was getting ready for choir practice and I was already feeling beaten physically and mentally. I just got a home a few hours ago. I had to eat snacks as I was too beaten to even cook. I didn't even bother steaming the leftover from my morning meal. I am that tired. Even now, I'm trying to keep this article as such as possible, so I don't sleep off on it, hence it might of low quality. Just a heads up. Now, you see how I planned the day to be blissful and instead it turned out to be both physically and mentally stressful. I planned a thing and the execution turned put different. This is typically how life is. We make plans as best as we can, factoring all the known variables, as well as highly probable variables. But most times, our plans do not hold. They either go south or get changed by circumstances. For some, this might bring the feeling of failure and Indiscipline, but it's not so. It's important that we acknowledge that majority of the variables that have the most power over the outcome of plans are mostly out of our control. The fact that you didn't get to do it or do it the way you want doesn't mean you fail. What actually matters is the effort which you've duly put into the work at hand. **Author's Thought** The bottom line of what I'm trying to say here is that we should be flexible in our plans and accept that we don't control everything. This will help us take it well, at the very least, if things do not pan out the way we had hope. Eventually it's a defence mechanism against the feeling of failure and disappointment which most likely will lead to unnecessary pressure on it's victim. L***earn to be flexible*** *****Thanks for reading my article.. I'm really grateful*****

Do You Still Want To Tweet?? Part Three Earlier today, I was just going through the major news websites trying to keep up with the happenings around the world when I came across the news that Elon Musk has sold $8.6b worth of Tesla shares. The prevailing argument, is that all those money are going towards financing the acquisition of Twitter. It's important that I mention here that Elon Musk like most western billionaires hardly have any of his wealth in cash. Most of his wealth is tied in share held at his numerous companies that he heads. The man doesn't even own a property even. That guy is sort of a joke actually. As I've earlier said in the other parts of this series, this acquisition will be funded by loans from banks. This again just shows how the rich is getting richer through the sweat and pains of the poor. The poor earn the little they can and save it in the bank, and the rich like Musk take the money at a premium lending rate to do business. I just thought that was worthy of mention. My quarrel isn't with Musk but with this system designed to indulge the rich at the expense of the poor. Now, moving on to the next speculation on the list. You can find the others **here** **and** here https://read.cash/@Methion/do-you-still-want-to-tweet-e7fe4719 https://read.cash/@Methion/do-you-still-want-to-tweet-part-two-5e29e379 **An Edit Button** This is one of the things people are speculating will come with a Musk era at Twitter, but it's important we give credit to whom it is rightly due. This feature is one that was in development way before he even made a bid for twitter. A lot of people are jubilating over the possibility of editing their tweet, but do we really need or want this? In an online space filled with all sort of hate and vices, we want to put the power to change and rewrite the conversation and the history of those conversations in the hand of social media users. This is quite a very dangerous precedent. Take for example, during the Capitol insurrection, a lot of social media post urging violence were posted on twitter both by common folks and politicians. Today, some of those tweets are serving as evidence in court cases and senate hearings. Now, imagine we already had an edit button. All I have to do is to edit the post and that post automatically becomes inadmissible as evidence of a crime that was very much committed. I'm not saying that all the edit button can be used for is the perpetuation and erasing of crime and it's record. All I'm saying is that if there's going to be an edit button, there should be wide consultation with all the relevant stakeholders before it's deployed and there needs to be some kind of safeguard and checks before it's introduced. **Twitter Blue For All** Another one is the belief that he's going to reduce the cost of twitter blue subscription. Ok, I just have to ask here, are we forgetting who Musk is? We are talking about a guy who manipulates the price of doge for his own benefit (just my accusation though). He's a businessman through and through, and he's certainly not one with a lot of principles. If he's going to remove adverts from twitter, cutting them off from their main source of income, he's left with twitter blue as the next major income source. In a business sense, the next play will be to ramp up twitter blue subscription as well as increase in the cost of the subscription to try and fill the gap left behind by the removal of advertising. But he's promising the opposite. With twitter cash cow ( advertising) gone, he's promising to also sacrifice the twitter cash legume (twitter blue), how then does he plan to raise money to cover twitters operating cost, not to mention making profit? Maybe, just maybe Musk is listening to the wrong set of advisers as concerning this whole twitter thing, because I don't see how any of this is going to work. What do you think of it??? Thanks for reading.....

@Methion

Do You Still Want To Tweet?? Part Two I started this article yesterday and quite frankly there's so much to say on it. So,I'm continuing. You can find the first part of the article here https://read.cash/@Methion/do-you-still-want-to-tweet-e7fe4719 **Making Twitter's Code Open Source** There's thus belief amongst the poor and middle class, that the rich can afford to and do throw money at things, just because.. This couldn't be farther from the truth. The rich, unlike the poor and middle class have no need for appearances. They are rich and we all know it, so they don't need the fanciest cars, gadgets or anything to prove it. It's the poor and middle class rather, that will take the little they have to sponsor an appearance of wealth; just sad. Where am I going with this?? I'm just trying to establish that Musk wouldn't throw money at a thing for the fun of it, and that's certainly not what he did with twitter.. He's claimed or there's a claim that he's going to make twitter's 'almighty' code open source. Well, if that's not the lie of the century, I don't know you what is, as a matter of fact, nothing comes close. Twitter, much like it's tech competitors like Facebook, wechat, tik-tok and even google have some of the most complex, sophisticated programming in the world, with thousands, if not millions or even hundreds of millions of lines of code. To even be able to analyse the entire program and codes of such software would require a whole different adaptation of data science application. Now, if you think someone is going to release that as open source, you must be easy to fool. I don't mean to offend of course, but come on bro, how do you believe such sh*t? Think of this. There's this fast food that makes extremely good and very highly priced burgers. In the whole town, no one makes anything remotely as good as this burger, hence it commands a really hefty price, that a whole lot of people are willing to pay due to limited supply and accessibility. The reason for this is simply a secret recipe and a whole different formula of combination of ingredients that makes up the burger. Then the owner of this fast food wakes up one very unfortunate morning ( don't mind me for saying unfortunate, but in my defence, one would need to be really unfortunate to be this stupid), and decides to make this secret formula as well as the secret ingredient, public knowledge, with the expectations that this will cause a rise in profits. Does any of these make sense to you?? Absolutely not! The owner would have to be at the height of stupidity and 'unfortunateness' to do something like this. The Elon Musk I know is neither of those. Making twitter's code open source will be Elon shooting himself on the foot. Twitter would automatically become not just unprofitable but relatively useless in the business community. Unless his desire is to flush $44billion of which he's going to be borrowing almost half, down the drain, he definitely would not even consider doing this, even in the most remote sense of it. Not to mention, I doubt his american banking partners would stand by and watch him play games with their investors money. Let's say hypothetically, he was to be stupid enough to actually do it. We're living in a time where people are beginning to see the need for more of the same. Take the streaming industry for example. There are people who are usually subscribe to more than two providers before now. But the economic effect of the pandemic and rising cost of energy across the western world and runaway inflation in developing and underdeveloped world is forcing people to choose only those at the top of the chain of preference. This has seen a decrease in the number of new subscribers of such services even for market leader, Netflix. Due to these same factor, more and more people are paying attention to their data consumption. Before now, we all fancied using all the social medias for their uniqueness, but today, we are having to choose some and give up some. With a situation like this, if twitter were to make it's code open source, every other social media platform will just copy and paste into their code. What that simply means is that, instead of having both facebook and whatsapp on my phone, I'll just have facebook only. After all, there'll be nothing twitter can do that won't be in Facebook, cos they would have copied the code. **Conclusion** The decision to make twitter code open source is actually not going to be good for anyone. That will be the end of twitter as e know it. Writing these past few days has become increasingly hard due to Rusty's withholding. I don't know if rusty is broken or something, but It's beginning to get to me much. I hope it gets better soon. This is definitely not the time for his dramas. ***Thanks for reading....***

@Methion

Do You Still Want To Tweet?? The sale of twitter to Elon Musk is the news trending these days. I can't quite tell if it's the fact that twitter was sold for just $44billion or the fact that Musk is singlehandedly forking that money out or what this mean that's causing the buzz. Since the purchase, there's been all sort of rumours as to what he plans to do with it. Some of these rumours are drawn from his own tweets before now as well as his utterances along the way. The purchase of the platform by Musk means it's now a private company, giving the company's de facto chief executive Musk, the power to do with it as he deems fit. After all, it's his $44billion, not yours, although that's a wrong notion cause he won't be the one to fork out the money alone. More than half of the total acquisition money won't be coming out from his pocket, but rather as loans by a number of US banks, secured against his stake in Tesla. Now that he's got what he wants with that hostile takeover, what next? **For Twitter** Like I said before, there are a lot of speculation out there as what the future holds for twitter. I'm going to examine a few significant once. **No More Advert** One of the things Mr Musk used in the war of this hostile takeover that gave him some sort of an edge over twitter was the manipulation of public opinion, yes manipulation. One of such, was his stance on adverts. People generally have a reasonable apathy against adverts interrupting and inundating them while they are online. There's also the problem of data collection and privacy. By promising to remove adverts, Musk won twitter users (whom feel like their privacy is been violated one way or the other and their data's been monetised as well) over, but he didn't mention at what cost this would come. He did mention the use of twitter blue subscription service though. The social media model as we know it, is based on a model where there main source of income is through advertising and even with that twitter was barely profitable. Now, if you close that door, where will the money come from? Twitter blue subscription won't be enough, cos majority of twitter users are in the developing and the undeveloped part of the world. These are places where money's hard to come by at all, and even when it does, it's barely enough to cover basic needs. The result is that there's just not enough people who can afford twitter blue. **Possible Corrective Action Scenarios** We tend to forget that Musk might be a lot of things, but a lavish spender isn't on e of it. We are talking about the world richest man, whom has zero property in his name. With his wealth, he could afford any mansion, but there's none to his name. So, if Musk is throwing money into Twitter, it's not just for fun, it's business, and he's a business man that likes to see result and profit, and fast too. What this ultimately mean is that Musk might never remove the advert cos he needs twitter to be able to make enough money to cover it's need and also get him profit. Alternatively, he might change the new user registration requirements of twitter by introducing a one-time fee to get a new account. He might go for a scenario where users have to subscribe to use twitter monthly, and no, I don't mean twitter blue. This would affect all users while twitter blue will just become the premium subscription under this scheme. I know you might want to argue this is not possible, but before you say that, remember that a businessman only goes into business for profit. Every other thing is a plus... Thanks for reading......

The Nigeria I Missed If I could travel back in time to any era, I would travel back to the 1970s/1980s. This time in my country's history can be termed the golden era. When I take a good look at my country today, it almost brings tears to my eyes that we aren't more developed than most of Europe, as we should be. Nigeria is an extremely blessed country. The blessings abound underneath the soil, in the air, in the clouds and everywhere. Nigeria is one of the biggest crude oil producers, we have all sorts of mineral and precious stone underneath our soil, our soil is fertile for agricultural purpose, we have good weather, there's no fear of any form of natural disaster etc. What else could we ask for?? To think we have all this and we still live in such poverty and misery is just heart wrenching. We should be amongst the developed nations of the world today, we should be part of G7, G20 and so on, but here we are. Getting back to the question, why would I want to go back to that time? During that time, Nigeria's economy was mostly based on agriculture, and we were flourishing cause we were darn good at it. Then the discovery of crude oil happened. Nigeria was exporting crude oil and all of that money was like excess as the proceeds from agriculture alone was enough to cater for the country. In that time, Nigeria as a country had more money than it could possibly spend. The land was prosperous, the economy was good and booming, money was easy to earn, there was zero unemployment, students had jobs waiting for them upon graduation, there was little to no violence, and whatever violence there was stemmed from ideological extremism, not vices. In summary, the land was flowing with milk and honey. ***Let me shock you. Today, the exchange rate of the Nigeria naira to American dollar is #589 to $1, but what if I told you that there was a time when the exchange rate was around #0.5 to $1. You think you're seeing wrong? No, you're not. In our golden era, that was the case.*** When you travel to a foreign country, you have to exchange your currency for the country's native currency, but there are a bunch of currencies that are relatively universal, say the dollar,euro and pounds. In the golden years of Nigeria, when you walk into a store or office building in the US or UK, you could pay for goods and services with the Nigerian naira, without having to exchange it first. Our currency was so valuable that it was one of the few universal currency in those days. In those days, it was possible to have a single briefcase of Nigerian naira note have more value than two briefcases of dollar notes added together. In that time, students earned way more than professors earn today. The universities were well funded. There was free food and education was truly free, from primary to university level. Due to proper funding, our universities were standard and amongst the best. For as little as #200, your entire monthly budget would be covered even if you were the type to squander, but today, #200,000 isn't enough to even meet one's basic need for a month alone. **What Went Wrong??** I keep asking myself this question every now and then. Who's to blame? But at the end of the day, everybody is as guilty as any other. The government, the economic advisers, the press, the youths, the electorates, and the populace at large. The government is to blame for abandoning the development of agriculture after the discovery of crude oil. They are to be blamed for making policies that incentivized moving away from agriculture instead of encouraging it and developing it, so we could do industrial farming on a massive scale. They are to be blamed for not nipping the problem of urban-rural migration when the could. They are to be blamed for looting all the excess money, all that wealth. They are to be blamed for presiding over the downfall of a great nation. That are to be blamed. The advisers are to be blamed for not telling their principals the truth, for not doing enough to make their principals listen to sound advice. They are to blamed for sitting in the rooms where decisions that would eventually destroy this country were been made both here and on the international stage, and for doing nothing to stop it. The youths, electorate and populace are to be blamed for constantly putting and recycling bad leaders in power. People with questionable characters and lack the spirit of service. They are to be blamed for choosing leaders across religious/ ethnic lines. For not not demanding of these leaders, accountability and service. Together, they killed our country and today, my generation isn't doing any better, we are actually making it worse. We do not care for our country anymore. We all want to fly abroad to greener pasture. This is quite bad, and I can't help but cry for my country. **Conclusion** Can my country still be saved? I don't know. Can it be savaged, I don't know. But another election year is around the corner and thus far we have been provided with options that are simply a recycling of the old guard. We are going to have to choose between the devils and blue seas, just like every other election. We never have the option of choosing the best qualified for the job, as those are never given as options, we get to choose which devil we feel we think will ruin our lives the least. I shake my head for the sad and grim reality for/in my country. ***Thanks for reading my article.***

You can read the other parts here, here, here and here. https://read.cash/@Methion/the-knowledge-of-me-622c2e1f https://read.cash/@Methion/knowledge-of-me-part-two-99485880 https://read.cash/@Methion/knowledge-of-me-part-three-9500694f https://read.cash/@Methion/knowledge-of-me-part-four-3814a8b0 **If Money Wasn't A Problem** I would live by the countryside. I would live a simple life. I would probably get a massive expanse of land, possibly with a lake running through it. I would then build a small mansion in one end of it and majority of the space will be covered with thick forest vegetation, while the immediate environment will be surrounded with an elaborate garden containing all sort of crops. I would have a farm at one end of it. Between the farm and the garden, I'll be able to produce all my own food requirements, and maybe my own juice, beverages and wine. Basically, I would live in a game reserve-like setting. It would be located in a place where the population is very low and everybody knows everybody. I'll definitely lead a simple life. **Swimming** I don't know how to swim for starters, but if I did, I would definitely not want to swim in a pond. Why, you may ask? I like to bring free and a pond will only give me a feeling of confinement, like I can't do all the things I might possibly want to do. The ocean on the other hand, gives me exactly that freedom to be as free spirited and adventurous as I might possibly want to be, but it also poses more danger to me. So, if I had a lifeguard close, I would definitely go for the ocean. **$50 On The Floor** What would I do? Let me think about that. Nothing there to thing about. I'll definitely pick it up, put it in my pocket and spend other the first chance I get. **A Shooting Star** I have seen a few shooting stars, but I didn't even come to the knowledge that a shooting star can result in wishes been granted. So, even though I've seen a lot of shooting stars, I've never once made a wish. **My One Lesson To My Children** Of all the lesson there is, the one I'll choose in a case like this is to teach them to not put anything above their happiness in life and to never do anything that will result in any form of harm to another person, unless it's for the greater good. **Tattoo Choices** If I had to get a tattoo, I'll probably not go to the salon with a picture of what I want, maybe more of an idea. I'll just choose an idea and relay that to the artist and let him/her use their creativity. As to where I'd put it, I'd want to flaunt that idea I had drawn, hence I'll put it in a part of my body that's rarely or never covered, say behind my palm, or anywhere along the length of my hand. **What I Hear Right Now** All I hear right now is the sound of generators and gamblers arguing. I had to come here to charge my phone due to the constant disruption to power supply. I'd better leave here soon though. **My Place Of Safety** I feel safest in my room, wherever that may be. I'd feel safer in my room as of today than I'd feel if I were to be in the white house for a visitation. **Weakness** My one greatest weakness right now, that I'll want to overcome as soon as possible is procrastination. It has done a lot of damage to my life and the sooner I get a hand on it, the better. ***Thanks for reading***

I've been bad and I've been disappointed him for the most part of my life, but never has he left me on my own. Despite the evil in today's world, somehow my family has never been a victim. He's really watching over me and mine. He makes provisions for me and my loved ones everyday without fail. He's indeed God. I'm thankful for the love my parents have and are still showing since I was born. It is the duty of the parents to for the needs of their children, and my parents have done this with grace. Even in my rebelliousness, their love for me never waned. They've catered to my need and also to my want. I'm so grateful they are my parents. I'm also grateful for my siblings and my friends. Between these two groups, I've myself surrounded with the best set of people on the planet. I'm also to Simon and @MarcDeMeselfor a platform like this where I can earn money for my thoughts. It's really wonderful. **Spicy Food** I'm the kind of guy that likes everything to be quiet, so to speak. For example, I don't like brightly colored clothing, and I think we can all agree that spicy food is to food, what colored clothing is to clothes. So, I'm not into spicy food. **Expressing Love** One of the best way I express my love for someone is through giving. Once I love a person, I don't want to see that person lacking anything or living everyday managing. When I love a person, I want to see them live a happy and comfortable life, and since I'm terrible at emotiomal stuffs, I resort to using physical means to give them that comfortable life, that will result to and/or from happiness. If you find me doing everything in my power to make you feel comfortable, to make you smile, to make you happy, and I do it often, just know that I love you. **Ice In My Drink** I do have something for cold water and beverages, but ice, I don't think so. **My Fears** First and foremost, height. I'm sh*t scared of height. Every time I have to climb a flight of stairs, I usually ensure to grip the handrail as much and strongly as possible. This is bcos the moment I start climbing, my mind has started playing out all the possible falling scenarios I'm gradually trying to deal with it though, but Rome wasn't built in a day, right?? Another thing I'm afraid of is certain insects and bugs. On a very bad day, those tiny little things can cause you some serious damage. Also, anything thing that's small and crawling or flying, can not come near me without me running away. I hate those creeping little and flying insects like cockroaches, mosquitoes etc. **Addressing Older People** How I address older people is usually a reflection of how close I'm to them. If I'm quite connected and we have a strong body, there's a heavy chance I'll only address you by your own name, while if we are less close and tends towards official, I'll definitely call you by your surname or full name. ***Thanks for reading***

Knowledge Of Me Part Three **Restless Sleeping** I don't know at want point in my life I made that switch, but as of today, I'm an night worker. I tend to fight back sleep even when it comes until I've crossed a certain time. Before I developed whatever this is, I used to sleep as early as 8:00PM, but nowadays, no matter how tired I am or even if I'm sick, I won't sleep until it's at least past 12:00 midnight, and there are days I don't even sleep at all, say the past two days. As such, when I do finally fall asleep, I'm darn too weak or too tired to be restless. Once my eyes are closed, there's hardly anything that can disturb my sleep, even a rowdy commotion or music burst won't be able to wake me. I sleep well. **A Romantic** Ah, this one's got me. I'm quite terrible at things that demands an expression of how I feel, of my feelings and emotions, except anger. Just like any other human being, I do get the romantic feeling, but I fail woefully when I express it. When I do manage to express it, I try to downplay the romantic-ness, so the other party doesn't get all mushy on me.. So, am I a romantic? No, I'm not... At best I'm a really disappointing one. **Missing Someone** At the moment, I'm not missing anyone as I'm surrounded by the people I love right now. They are all here, all my family and friends. **Childhood Memory** Growing up, I was a core introvert and as such, I rarely went out to other kids when they were playing. My mum would try to encourage me to go out and play, she just didn't get this kid. So, there was this one time I obliged her and joined the kids. It didn't end well as someone took a beating. You know, people who are reserved and quiet are always considered weak, and that was how that other kid must have seen me. I don't remember exactly what the issue was now, but he came at me, and I gave him a good clean beating. If it was mortal kombat, it would be a flawless victory. Later, the adults called us to ask what happened. It got interesting here. As I was making my case, I was crying profusely, do much that you'll think I was the one who lost. Even till date, I still have traces of that habit of almost crying when making my case after a conflict. It's something something I'll never forget as it's the first of two times I ever fought with someone. **Strangest Thing Eaten** I'm actually a man of habit, so I really don't do strange. It's the same set of food that I had growing up, that I'm still having now. So, no strange thing per se. But then, there's this one time I ate something called Tuwo Shikafa. It's an Hausa/Fulani delicacy, and after that time, I never tried it again. **Diary/Journal** I've always thought about getting one, but like a lot of other things in my life, I kept procrastinating and never actually got it. So no, I don't keep a diary, even though I'll love to. **Pen/Pencil** It's the pen for me, all the way. **Cereal** Whether crunchy or soggy, I don't do cereals **Reading** Growing up then, as an introvert, there's always a lot of time on your hands that you have to somehow fill with activities that suit your introvert-ness. That particular activity for me, was reading, and that choice was easy because I was always an intelligent child, or maybe that choice made me an intelligent child. I guess it's a 'chicken and egg, which one came first' situation. If you had asked me this question then, I would have answered, no,I don't like books, I love and I'm addicted to books. But as you grow up and responsibilities begins to mount up, you begin to have less and less time, and soon enough you find that you're doing things you need to do, rather than things you want to do. Soon enough, you'll forget entire hobbies and likes, and that's how it has been with my me reading.. ***Thanks for always making out time to check out my article guys.. I love you guys***

@Methion

Knowledge Of Me Part Two **Mythical Creature** If I were to be a mythical creature, I would go for something that's quite powerful and at the same time emotionally vulnerable and kind. Something that's at the apex of the food chain and highly intelligent, and maybe with a bit of mystic and magical powers. What could that be? Yea, you guessed it; a dragon, I'll be a dragon. The sheer size of that beast alone and it's powerful claws makes it an apex predator, not to mention its fire and and destructive teeth. There couldn't be a better choice. **Electronic Or Paper Book** The advancement in technology has definitely permeated every sphere of human existence and endeavour, and this is true of both the academic and publishing sectors. The production and publication, even sale of books have gone beyond physical paper books. Of course, there are a lot of benefits to electronic books such as portability, durability, ease of distribution, lower cost of production, convenience of reading etc. With these benefits comes some attendant disadvantages. For one, reading on your device though convenient, exposes you to the possibility of distraction. Generally, the human attention span is reducing drastically, coupled with the constant pinging and demand for your time by different apps we use on our devices today, it's almost impossible to focus when reading on a device. This is where paper book has the advantage. Even though they might not be as durable and portable as ebooks, but they afford you greater assimilation per minute due to the elimination of pings and distraction. So I'll go for paper book every time. **Favourite Item Of Clothing** I'm actually the kind of guy who really doesn't mind fashion much. As long as I'm covered and the clothes are simple enough, I'm good. So, I can't really say on this one. That's a first blank for me. **Liking My Name** I didn't pay much attention to my name until my third year of secondary education. But when I did finally get to understand the meaning of my name, I got to really like it. I don't think my parents actually consulted or knew the meaning of the name as at when they were naming me, but it turned out to be fitting anyways. My name means '**the people's warrior**' and I like to think the name has played out in the way I live my life. So yeah, I totally love it. **Mentor** There are people that I look to learn from in certain aspects of life, but I've never thought of any one of these people as a mentor per se. This is because I'm some sort of a perfectionist, and as such I usually find a reason why someone is just not adequate enough to be a mentor to me. It's not about my pride or ego, it's about the kind of person I aspire to be... So, I can't really point to a mentor. **Fame**. Of course, I'll like to be famous of course. But for what reason? Interestingly, it's for a "bad" reason. I'll like to be remembered as a dictator who strangled a country into prosperity and discipline after which democratic rule will be restored. The steps that need to be taken to fix this country will demand the mind of a serious authoritarian and tyrant whom is focused at fixing this country at any cost. I'm willing to be that person. Of course, I'll be remembered as an evil person for it, but if it affords people a better life and country going forward, I'll be OK with that. **Thanks for reading people....**

@Methion

The Knowledge Of Me I actually got this from someone's article and can't quite remember whom. I'm sorry for not mentioning you though. I like how the questions can of make you reflect a bit about yourself and actually has the potential of making you know yourself better. So here goes nothing. **Black or Blue Pen** Well, I used to be a blue pen kind of guy because it was really the default for students growing up. Black pen was something of a second choice when blue ain't available. But then, as we grow into teenagers and youths, we tend to have the habit of seeking to defy standard norms and practices, and this is why at the college level or university level, you see quite a good amount of student make that transition from blue to black, not necessarily because it's more beautiful or convenient to them, but because it's different. But got me it's blue, always have been. **Country or City** On this, I'll give you a description of the kind of place I want to live and let you match it. There's something about living in the city. Life seem to be on the fast lane and you're always on your feet trying to keep up and not be left behind. There are a lot of amenities of course, but also a lot of bodies. Public spaces are jammed and full of people, cost of living is unreasonably high, there's all sort of pollution depending on the country you're in of course, even nature and it's beauty is replaced by magnificent high rise building and artificially decorated spaces. There's so much emotional and psychological noise associated with city life. Country life on the hand has this sense of serenity and calm to it. It seem to give you the chance to actually live every minute of your life as time moved slower here. You get to be closer to nature, the air and environment is usually cleaner, there's usually just enough social amenities for basic needs, cost of living is reasonable, and there's so much less bodies and hence less pressure on the amenities available. There's a claim I would even like to make; that country living affords one a better lifestyle easily and almost by default. Looking at these two, I'll always pick country living anytime of any d**ay.** **A New Skill** The skills that I most desire right now are marketing skills, communication/public speaking skills and skills related to computer technology. Amongst this three, my first choice will most likely be computer technology related skills as that is proving to be the job of the future. It's no longer secret than almost half of the jobs we have today, if not more, would have been replaced by robots and artificial intelligence five years from now. As an Aquaculturist and fisheries management expert in training, I don't want to be caught in that rot. One of the best way to ensure you're future-proof in terms of jobs is to learn at least one computer technology related skill as those will be the jobs of the near future. Marketing and public speaking are some other skills that promise to not go redundant, as we will always need those with ability to convince others to do our biddings😂😂. **Tea Or Coffee With Sugar** This one is easy. I don't take coffee, so that's a no-no for me. I'm more a beverage guy, but left with only these two choices, I'll definitely opt for tea. Exactly what I have against coffee, I can't say, but I just know I've never been into it. Maybe it's my fear of caffeine or the fact that the first and last time I tried it to delay sleeping, it failed miserably. **Baths Or Shower** This one is tricky because I could easily say shower cos I like the feeling of having water run over me continuously. Makes me feel like I'm in the rain, and boy! Do I love bathing in the rain during my younger days. Every time I bath under the shower, the feeling of cleanliness is quite different. I don't know why, but bathing under a shower is the only time I get that 'squeaky cleanliness' feeling. What about you? The trick here is I've never actually ever had the chance to use a bath, so I don't really know how it feels like. Knowing myself and how I like comfort and ease, something tells me that I might just prefer the bath if I get to try it. So there. ***What about you? Tell me about yours in the comment section.***

"Bad Parent" In today's world, the place of what people term 'proper parenting' can not be overemphasized, but what exactly is proper parenting? The other day, I was walking along the kerb by the side of the road, and there was this woman carrying a baby on her back with two other kids walking ahead of her. Note that this was a busy road and the children were been children; carefree and amazed at everything they see. I couldn't help but wonder what she's thinking letting those kids stay ahead of her on a busy walkway beside a very busy road. Anything could really go wrong and before she will catch up with the children, the harm would have been done already. There was also this video of a man who was taking the kids to school. He held a rope and the kids held the same rope, and he was leafing them. At a point the kids left the rope and wandered into a mall and he kept going as he was pressing a phone, he didn't even know they had wondered away. There's this woman too, who tied a child to a pole, just so he doesn't disturb her. A mother takes her child who has been disciplined for doing something wrong, and go give him a treat. Majority of people will class these people as "bad parents", but first of all, what is bad parenting? I'm going to be taking a very controversial stand on this matter. Through all the developmental stages of life we encounter from birth to death, we are never really prepared for it. From childhood to the rebellious teenage years when we begin to feel we Begin to feel we can conquer the world, we are hardly ever prepared for that transition. Of course, for some of us, our parents were there to try and guide us, but there's only so much guidance they can do. No matter how they try, we are never fully prepared for it. Same thing goes for the transition between our teenage years to our young adult days and then our adult stage. We are rarely ever ready for it. Knowing this, it becomes clear that every parent(s) you see out there is rarely completely prepared for that stage of life. They all prepare as best as they can of course, but that's it. Humans are the most difficult things, living it non living to manage and kids are no less guilty of this. In a world where there's so many responsibilities and expectations on how one ought to do anything, it's hard to keep up. Seeing that humans are difficult to manage and there's no handbook left by the previous generation to the next on how to parent right, it's really quite unfair how we judge parents and classify them as good and bad. Like I said before, there's no handbook on how to be a perfect parent. They are all just trying their best in their own way, as much as they know. So, before you start judging and classifying the mother whose child is seemingly walking ahead of her, you should maybe consider that she's maybe overwhelmed, before you judge the mother whose child is tied to a pole, consider how mentally stressed she must be and the fact that she has to get things done on top of all that, before you labelled the loving mother who give an erring child a treat, consider that maybe that's the best way she knows of dealing with such. Of course, there are things that are wring and right in themselves, I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying before you go on to judge and classify a person's parenting skill, remember there's no handbook for it, like there isn't for most things and he/she is probably doing the best she knows. **Closing Thoughts** Parenting like a lot of other human stuff is personal. There's no ultimately right or wrong way to do it, neither is there any ultimately good or bad parents. Every parent out there is just doing the best they think they can do, and they will definitely get some things right and some other things wrong, but that's life. Let's all be less judgemental of parents. Parenting is no easy task. ***Thanks for stopping by to read my article***

Infinite Point In A Relationship In today's world, where almost everything is a deep fake, it's hard to find relationships that are built on true foundational block of trust, loyalty and love. Of course, with the advancement in technology and standard of living, not to mention the fast pace of today's living, it's becoming easier to make 'friends' in theory. That's a talk for another day. But to find true friends who are out to see you grow and will stuck their necks out for you in times of trouble is not as easy as it looks. This is because, majority of the people you call friends are 'friends' because they are getting something from the relationship, and normally that's not a bad thing; why should I stay in a friendship that's not helping become better or is not productive? The problem here isn't that people desire gains from the relationship they make these days, it's that they are willing to get those gains at your detriment if need be and are not out to make sure you get something from the relationship as well. The moment they stop getting that thing they usually get from the relationship, they'll walk away, in the hard times, they won't be there. So, if you do have one of those relationship that are real, cherish it my friend. That will bring us to the topic of today. As we know, in every relationship, whether romantic, work or business relationship, there will be conflicts at some point due to differences. It's only natural seeing as no matter how closely related, connected we are or how much we have in common, we are still different and unique in many ways. This results in us differing in certain things and beliefs. At times like this, it's important to be careful how we handle these conflicts and differences, so as not to cause irreparable damage to the relationship. People have this nothing that among friends or between partners there can be no wrong, everything goes, this couldn't be farther from the truth. No matter how close you are to your Friend, partner, colleague or business mate, you should know there are certain lines you shouldn't cross and certain things you shouldn't do. While some of these things are universal, everybody also have those that are unique to them. It behoves you to known these line and boundaries and to do everything in your power to respect them. Another common notion in relationships is that everything is forgivable, that friends are supposed to forgive each other of every sin and wrong, this isn't correct. There are some certain things that can be seemingly unforgivable, and you can't blame the unforgiving party. This is what I call infinite points in a relationship, and they aren't supposed to be touched, tampered or trifled with. The things is even if the wrong is forgiven, they'll never be forgotten, and will always cast a shadow on the relationship for a very long time or forever. The relationship might never return to what it used to be. **Conclusion** While it's a measure of how connected you are in a relationship, it's important you know the boundaries and lines of the other party in the relationship. You might want to argue there's none between you and the other party, but I'm telling you that you're wrong, and I hope you don't find out the hard way. ***Thanks for making out time to read my article, one love***

@Methion

Which Is Most Painful And Hurtful To You?? **Broke-shamed** This one is actually very common and the most painful part of it is that it's done a lot by friends. This a situation whereby someone who may or may not be able to afford a certain thing mock your inability to acquire it. It's something that can be done directly or indirectly. A rival will most likely do it directly without hiding the intent to hurt or shame you, but friends will do it in the name of fun, cruise or having a good laugh. The problem with this is that it can have a profound psychological effect on people who are really struggling or are depressed. It's a very wrong thing to do, but these days, people assume friendship removes all boundaries which again is a very wrong assumption. The fact that we're friends doesn't make it cool to mock my situation or financial standing. **Rejection** Have you ever had cause to believe all your hopes and prayers are about to be answered, like your moment is about upon us, that the breakthrough you've been waiting for is just right there and all of a sudden, you realise that you're not 'good enough'. This for some is the ultimate pain. Putting all your hopes on a particular opportunity, whether be it with a job, a woman, a man or whatever, only to discovered that you're not 'good enough' according to one or two stuffs. Especially when they are quiet little or insignificant. This doesn't just cause pain, it can leave a lasting feeling of inadequacy and low self esteem. **Disrespect And Bullying** In most organizations, it's common practice to see superior treat other worker with little to no respect. Most try to 'tolerate' the situation cos it's what it is. But imagine the reverse was the case; that a lower ranked staff in the organization is showing disrespect or any form of bullying. What would you do? How would you feel? The pain can be immense. This is something that happens in everyday life as well. **Incurable Disease** Just the thought of it is sending shivers down my spine. I just can't quantify how dejected and damaged I'd be if I were me. At times in such situation, some people will just choose die rather having to live with an incurable disease. Such news can bring a lot of person down, so much so that they stop living all together. This is probably what I'll do; I'll have them remove their pipes and all, I'll go home and shut myself in and cry in misery. Thank Good God for not allowing such to be my lot. **Death From Lack Of Funds** This is capable of breaking the spirit of even the best, strongest and cruelest of us. The hurt and pain from having to watch a love one (Friend, family), pass away just because you can't afford or help to afford drugs or treatment from him/her can leave you so mentally wacked, that you'll need the service of a professional therapist. You will always blame yourself for it and see a monster that you're not. **Murder** Oh my! my! I'm Stoll trying to figure this one out. Will I feel any pain for murdering somebody accidentally? Yes, I'll. Even though it's accidental, I'll never stop feeling guilty and seeing it as my fault. I don't even know if the pain in this scenario will be same and/or more as the scenario where you lose a loved one to drugs. What if the murder isn't an accident? I think I'll be able to live with that, relative to the above. This is because, I'll have something to argue with when my conscience starts punishing me for killing another human being. Either way, I have no desire to test this. **Having listed such scenario, which do you think would hurt you the most? Tell me about it in the comment section** *****Thanks for always stopping by and reading my articles. I really appreciate you guys. Thanks a lot.*****

@Methion

No, Not A Seance **Have You Ever Said Bloody Mary In Front Of A Mirror?** The answer to this is and can only ever be a No. I grew up in a house where my mother and father are both disciplinarians. They were very particular in training us in the right way to go. We were never allowed to use swear words or insult at anybody even when the occasion called for it, or we have been verbally attacked. Committing a crime such as using such swear words will get you nothing but a thorough spanking and I'm happy for that cause it has shaped my person so much that even during a heated argument, the tendency that I'll go off or use a swear word is low. You might not consider this a swear word, but the way I was raised, it is one. **If You Were To Commit A Murder, How Would You Go About It?** Over the years, everyone who has come to know or have an interaction with me knows that I hate violence in all its form, even in movies. The way movies glorify violence is talk for another day. Even if I were put or caught in a situation that requires violence, it would still be a last resort for me. This is because I see violence as volatile, a thing that cannot be controlled and that can easily lead to serious harm or even death. So, to think of committing murder is totally beyond me, now and forever more. But if were to do so, I would use a non-violent means, and would try to cause little to no pain to the victim. As such, I would employ the use of those chemicals used in assisted suicides; clean and painless. **Have You Ever Had An Unexplainable Experience With The Supernatural?** I don't know if I can really say yes to this, but I've had quite a few unexplainable incidents. The first I would state here happened when I would have been 8-10years old. My mum used to run a local pepper soup joint. On that fateful night, we ran out of alcoholic drinks and my mum sent my elder sister and I to go get some. While approaching the house where we were supposed to get from, we saw a white figure that was a picture-perfect resemblance of what the Nigeria movie industry portrayed spirits and ghost then. I wanted to run back, but we knew we couldn't give that as an excuse for not getting the drinks. We ran past it as fast as we could and interestingly there was no drink for us to buy. While coming back, it was still there, and we made to run past it and it seemed to start moving towards us. We immediately doubled our speed and didn't stop until we got home. Even writing about it now is sending chills down my spine😂. **Would You Consider Tasting Human Flesh For $100?** Absolutely No. My peace of mind and sanity is far more expensive than that. Period. **Would You Agree To Participate In A Seance?** My religious beliefs is against such practices and as such I can't, but maybe if I was of another faith that didn't prohibit such 'demonic and unclean' practices, I might, just for the sole reason of satisfying my curiosity. I wrote this article as a participation in a prompt that I got to know about from @Gianna-B article, who learnt about it from @Probinsyana and which was initiated by @Tamia. Thanks for your time. I appreciate your love and support.

The Virtual Hoax I actually wonder sometimes what Zuckerberg must have been thinking when he was coding Facebook. Did he actually think about the possibilities, the long term, the effect it will have on people and human relations? I don't think so. He might have felt he was doing the world kindness, and maybe so, but what we have come to know as social media today is definitely not what he was thinking of. The social media networks keep coming up with different tools and upgrades to keep users stuck on the platform, but of course, that's good for business. The supposed original intent behind social media was to connect the world. Today, social Media has evolved to such great lengths, that the actual connection Zuckerberg was aiming for when he started is now on the back foot.. Today, the unwritten underlying business model of these Medias are based on a 'belong' culture. This is why in every social network, there seem to be niches and cliche. Today, the virtual world of social media has become a place where we can live our fantasies and call it truth. In doing this we put other diligent hardworking people under undue pressure and depression, causing them to feel like a failure. It's really bad. We almost now have two lives; our real lives where we are probably middle class and the 'gram' life where we live so lavishly, you would think Bill Gates works for us. This fake life is driven by the need to belong in a certain cycle, to feel special. But the actual underlying drive is to hide our behavioral inadequacies. We become things we are not just to belong in certain cycles, to have many followers to feed our need for approval. In doing this, we tend to be willing to do or say anything, as long as it appeals to the target audience, with no recourse to checking it legality or morality. Here's an example.   ' Nicky, a self-styled sex therapist and host of Kumasi’s ‘ABN Radio One’ has confessed to sleeping with a groom a night before and after his wedding. The popular broadcaster who was speaking on Kumasi-based Angel FM’s ‘Angel Drive’ program, revealed that the groom was her ex-boyfriend and she had no regrets since life is meant to be enjoyed once. She said; "I slept with a groom before his wedding even though I was a bridesmaid… I went to the wedding, spent his money on them, and slept with him again after the ceremony. I never mentioned that to the woman and she doesn’t need to know. Life is only intended to be lived once, so enjoy it.” This is an excerpt from nairaland.com from the article with the link below https://www.nairaland.com/7036849/oap-nicky-slept-groom-before. Imagine the nonsense that someone would dare brag about just to please her followers? How's this a thing to be proud about? Is she saying living like a ho is the only way to have fun or enjoy life? It's appalling. To think someone can go online, to brag about her betrayal, her list, and her lack of fear for anything good, sacred and decent just goes to show how much we've decayed on a society.   **Conclusion**  might not really make the connection. But I just want to decry two things in one article. The seeming dearth of moral values in our society and the fake life we live in our virtual spaces. I don't really see why people think they have to forgo all morals and go to any length to pretend they are what they are not, just to please other people online, whom they will probably never get to meet in this life time or the next.

Last Train To The Cryptoverse You would think that seeing that cryptocurrency and all the talk around it have been here for what; 8,9,10years+, everybody would have accepted what it stands to represent and the inevitability of it permanence in the financial space of the future, which quite frankly we've already started living. Interestingly, there are still millions, even billions of people who haven't even heard about cryptocurrencies even once. Again, hearing is one thing, listening and understanding is another. Some people just hear it by the side, and pay no second thought to it, hence they remain ignorant about it. There are also a lot of people out there who believe the cryptocurrency craze is just the building of another www bubble that's waiting to burst just like the financial crisis the world witness in 2008. There are quite a good number of experts on the matter who holds this view and correctly so too, if you ask my opinion. A lot of the wind sailing the crypto world right now is hype and potentials for mass adoption. The problem with hype is that it's not so easily sustained and at some point, the crypto world will sort of have a meltdown. My reason for accepting this assertion is that a good percentage of wealth invested in crypto and blockchains are invested in projects that have no real value, no current nor feature use case or anything like that. Anything from five to three years ago, this was the case with the introduction of all sorts of new coins and tokens, but in recent years, this has been transferred into the world of NFTs. All of these can be responsible for lack of interest and involvement on the crypto space BT certain people. You might want to ask, with all this talk, why do I still do crypto? The truth is much like the financial crisis of 2008 hit the world and its bank, I expect cryptocurrencies to suffer the same fate, but also as the financial world recovered eventually, I expect cryptocurrencies to do same, after which the true era of decentralized finance will fully blossom. During the 2008 crisis, a lot of banks couldn't make it, but the best of them did find a way to recover and that's what I kind of expect of cryptocurrencies. The potential 'bursting of this bubble' will help sanitize the crypto space, as only those with true value, use case, potential for growth, innovation and adoption will make it out of the crisis.   For those of us whom have gained knowledge and understanding of what the crypto world is all about and the future implications as well as benefits, it can be painful to see our friends and family members live without this realization, especially those of them going from one place to another looking for what and where to invest the little wealth they've amassed. Some of these people have the financial capability to better position themselves to reap the benefits of the cryptoverse the way people like me can't, and faster. Naturally, we feel the compulsion to lead them to this holy grail of the future financial space, but it can be hard. The government across the world aren't helping matters either. ***I'm just afraid too many people are going to be jumping on the last train to cryptoland and so much more will be left behind.***

Waiting And Longing Traffic has so much dealt with me in these past few weeks, so much that I now have patience in abundance to spare. If you're a very impatient person, you should not get stuck in traffic for hours especially Lagos traffic cos you might end up killing the passengers close to you out of anger or just get off the bus and start trekking to an unknown destination.  The trekking thing was exactly was happened to me today as I couldn't take it anymore cos almost everyone on the bus had all gone down to trek so I decided to do same and follow cos they seemed like the winning team. All this has taught me that waiting messes with a person's mind. Now I see why Nigerian graduates who look for jobs to no avail are usually frustrated cos they've waited and waited and nothing happened. I'm using Nigeria cos it's my country and I'm used to how things how here and not because we have it worse.  It's usually easy when one has other options while waiting. Imagine a very hungry child waiting for his mother to finish cooking so he can eat. The child is hungry yes but he finds waiting easy cos he knows something is cooking hence he doesn't have to be so bothered. Now, imagine another child who is hungry but mummy comes home with nothing to cook and says "let's wait for daddy". How do you think such a child would feel. He will be devastated and sad and any other adjective that expresses heartbreak will be a perfect match for him.   As much as patience is a virtue that we should all have, I think there is a limit to the extent which one can exercise patience. A pregnant wife who waits up for her husband every night will definitely get tired and give up someday. It's inevitable! As bizarre as this may sound, do you know that there are couples who make their spouse wait for them during a fight just to prove a point. Okay let me break it down this way..  Funke had a fight with Dele. Yes dele was wrong and he has admitted his fault and is apologizing but Funke wants to make him understand the gravity of the offence by not accepting the apology. Mind you, I have nothing against this, but it's been 2 weeks now and Funke is still not willing to let it go. Now Dele has given up and focused his energy elsewhere who is to blame? Many relationships have ended like this with the person who was once being begged becoming the beggar. What does she have to say was the reason why her relationship ended? Her own personal games or her partner's?  Making people wait for the sake of teaching them a lesson is not funny at all and should not be encouraged. I think life already comes up with millions of ways to make us wait and nobody should add to that in any way. In conclusion, life is too short to be gambled with so let's act smart, remember we will reap if we faint not!   ***Thanks for reading!***

A Good Feeling Well my dear read friends, it's with great joy that I announce to you that this account of mine is still very much ok. I couldn't believe it when I saw the green not on the tip section of my first article after such a long time. Having been away from this account for almost four months now, I was really afraid I'd lost the account, but it seems God decided to look kindly upon me. Now that I know the account is still active, I see that my work is cut out for me. In my last article, I mentioned that as of now, I can only use the devices of my friends whenever they are around me or I visit them, but you and I both know that's not so workable. Now, I really have to come up with a solution that works, especially as most of my close friends are already using their device on this platform as well, hence I can't log in using their device for fear of killing both theirs and mine. The only other option I have is a friend's laptop, but due to the fact that the association of University lecturers in my country is on strike, I won't be seeing him, as I know he would like to travel home through the entire period of the strike. So, as it is now, the only solution is to get a device of my own, something that's really quite out of my financial capabilities right now. Everything I do and every money I get now will have to go to saving towards getting a new phone. Currently I'm not working and don't know if I can find something to do during the strike, but I guess all I can do is hope. Most of the funds I have right now are mostly gifts and they are directed towards some other financial obligation that I have looming over me, and I really can't commit to something else until I've cleared that cloud from above me. I really don't know what to do. I'll probably be able to pop in and out from time to time through next week, but after that, I really can't say. I'm just really hoping for a miracle as regards getting a new device. I'm sorry for just jumping in and ranting without checking on you guys. Hope you're having a great day? Did you go to church, and hope your service was awesome? As for mine, I really didn't feel like getting out of the bed. I had to be dragged out of it and into the bathroom, but the service was lit and I would have been mad at myself if I had missed it. I'm going to try and enjoy the rest of my day, you should do same, for life is too short to waste any of it. See you on my next one...  **Conclusion** *I really want to appreciate all you guys who stocked with me this whole time. Coming online and seeing that people actually read, tipped and commented on my first article after so long, was a whole different kind of joy. It made me feel special, important and remembered and I thank every single one of you for that. I pray you will be rewarded for this love and kindness you've shown me.*

Is This My Return?? Hey people!! It's your favourite, howbeit forgotten writer, **METHION!!** I know what you're thinking; where in the name of everything good did he come out from? Well, I'll tell you. You see, about 3-4months ago, I had this phone that I was using to run my read.cash account. On a very fateful day, I was to get a friend to a certain farm, but my phone was dead and I was having power issues at home that period. We met in my school campus and I decided to just leave my phone back to charge at a certain cyber café before I return. Turned out to be one of my worst decisions. What was most painful about the whole incident was that I saw and knew the probability of the danger happening was high, but the idea of spending another whole night without my phone was haunting, so I took the risk. I got the friend to where I needed to get him to and came back to one of the most heartbreaking discovery I had that time; someone had placed a heavy object on top of my Samsung screen and it had cracked and it was instantly rendered unusable. I almost burst into tears right there and then. While I was pained about the phone, I was more pained about my read.cash account and the possibility that it will be spammed by the time I can get another phone. I did find friends whom were willing to let me use their phones while I'm around them, but then I discovered I hadn't written down my seed phrase and all the money I had there was going to be lost if I logged in and open a new wallet. It was like things were just moving from bad to worse for me. Recently, while rummaging through the numerous books I have in my room, I came across a particular book that had some seed phrases written within it. After racking my brain for a while, I was able to identify the particular seed phrase to the account. You can only imagine my joy. Even though, I currently do not have a device to run it now, I intend to use the device of my friends whenever I can, but that will depend on whether this account has not been spammed or abandoned by Rusty. I'm hopeful though.   **Conclusion** I don't know how it's going to work really. I wouldn't want to be logged on multiple devices as I fear that might offend Rusty, just as much as logging in two accounts in one device, but it's all speculation, I really can't know for sure. I've got to say though, it's really great to be back on this account. ***To all my wonderful sponsors who stood by me in my time of absence, I'm grateful and in your debt, you have no idea how much it means to me, for those who left due to my elongated absence, I'm still grateful, cos I know I'd probably do same after such an elongated absence. To all the people I once sponsored, please know that I never stopped believing in you, my absence from your sponsor's block was not my choice, it was forced by my situation. Let's hope this is indeed my return.***
