Superheroes aren't the bravest

Real heroes don't wear a cape; they're just normal like us, and they're living life the way we do.

As a child, we used to look up to the heroes on our television who manifest various superpowers that they used in defeating the villains in such shows. But what if they don't have such powers? Will they be able to win over the bad guys?

In real life, it seems impossible to have such powers. But with the power of the ever-changing and developing technology, it could somehow make some power that can wipe out enemies. It's detrimental though.

Anyway, we have our real-life heroes who never wore a cape but were able to save lives and be an inspiration to many. One of which is our teachers, who have been our second parents. They mold us and help us become the best we can be to achieve our dreams in life. They don't have superpowers. They are just simple human beings who can change lives and provide a great impact on our future.

We also have our parents, who have always been the best heroes we ever had in our life. It may not always be the case, but it is undeniable that they are always there when we need them, comforting us when we are crying, making us feel loved when we are heartbroken, and sharing with us some pieces of advice when we have problems. They aren't just simple parents. They are our best friends, sources of strength, and heroes as well, whose love and protection will never be compensated by anything in this world.

Our pets can also be our heroes. To mention a few, they can save us from various dangers. Like our dogs, they don't just make us smile and happy to see their cute faces. They also guard our house against bad people, are our best friends, and can also save us from accidents. The same holds true for our cats, who also teach us various lessons in life, like being clean and kind to others.

See, the superheroes with supernatural powers aren't the only ones who can be as brave as them. Most of the time, a normal person is even stronger and fiercer. The challenges that come in life make us even tougher and teach us lessons that we can always apply in our life.

Para sa mga lumaban pero hindi ipinaglaban, know that you are brave enough to stand up with your feet and fight for the ones you love. It may not be reciprocated, but at least you did try your best. You are valid, and so with your emotions.

This post is in connection with today's celebration of National Heroes day in the Philippines. Salute to our dear heroes who fought for our land and every modern hero in disguise. Your legacy will continue to be remembered by everyone and will always be inculcated in everybody's mind and heart.
