“HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE 0.1”
Many people tend to evaluate productivity based on the ‘trend’ when in fact productivity is more than that. Today I would like to share with you the number one tip on how to become productive in this unproductive ambiance and season. Since there is an ongoing COVID_19 pandemic, most people stay at home. Before the lockdown students go to school, professionals got to work and adults meet together to enjoy. But since there has been a lockdown many people stopped going out and stayed stuck at home. Staying at home doesn’t mean that you can be unproductive as you want to be. It’s not about the situation, it’s about your point of view about it.
TIPS ON HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE:
START YOUR DAY RIGHT.
How do you start your day? The way you start your day determines how your whole day goes. Have you taken notice of yourself when you ‘wake up on the wrong side of the bed?’ You tend to be irritated, overly sensitive and almost impossible to deal with. The people you came in contact with becomes the receiver of your foul mood. Even though it was never your intention for it to happen, you still get to hurt them unintentionally. It might be verbally or just giving them a cold shoulder.
What time did you wake up? You will definitely wake up with lack of sleep if you stayed up late all night. On the other hand you will wake up energized when you have enough sleep. When you wake up early there’s no need for you to rush in eating your breakfast, preparing for work or for school and doing things one step at a time.
What do you look for as long as you open your eyes? I’m sure that you looked for your phone. It’s either to turn off the alarm (after turning off the alarm you’ll stay on the bed for a few more minutes before finally getting up) or to check your social media accounts (then you get upset when there’s no notification). You start recalling that you have a job to go to or an online class to attend. Which often times immediately pisses you off saying “here we go again”.
Did you take your breakfast? According to the doctors, breakfast is the most important meal of the day for it is what will keep you going the whole day. If breakfast is taken in a hurry, you might have an upset stomach. On the other hand if you don’t eat breakfast then your stomach will have to produce acid which leads to hyperacidity and heartburn. It’s uncomfortable to work or study with heartburn.
What is the menu of your breakfast? Most people consider a glass of milk or a cup of coffee as breakfast but as the saying goes ‘eat breakfast like a king’. Which means that it’s ok to eat heavy breakfast but make sure that it is healthy. Include what’s on the food pyramid so that you’ll have enough energy for the day ahead of you.
HOW TO START YOUR DAY RIGHT?
A. Sleep early so that you will wake up early. Break the habit of staying up late doing unimportant things. If you’re having a hard time sleeping at night you can drink a glass of milk before going to bed.
B. Pray before starting and finishing your day. Praying must be part of your lifestyle. If you can spend all night talking to someone in social media, surely you can spare a few minutes to thank God for everything that he has done for you the whole day. Praying doesn’t need to be so technical. You just have to tell God everything so that you will have a better sleep.
C. Fix your bed. If you can’t accomplish a simple thing as fixing your bed as long as you wake up, you can’t accomplish even greater things. Small things matter.
D. Eat healthy and nutritious food. Your diet determines your health. Your diet must include the Go, Grow and Glow foods found on the food pyramid. Invest in your body by eating right.
E. Exercise on a regular basis. This is the least in our priorities everyday, but it is also one of the most important things in order to be productive. Part of being healthy is exercising. Exercise not to brag but to keep yourself healthy.
F. Prepare the night before. Practice the habit of preparing the things you will need for tomorrow the night before so that it will be less hassle for you while preparing for the next day.
“I want to be PRODUCTIVE so I will START THE DAY RIGHT.”
That is the first point. Tune in for the second point on the next days.
