In all likelihood, you aren’t worrying about dying today. In fact, unless you’re very old or very sick, you probably don’t intend to give it much thought at all until sometime in the distant future. Contemplating one’s eventual death just isn’t high on most people’s list of favorite subjects.
Are you scared yet?
The purpose of this is not to encourage you to focus daily on your own death, but rather to encourage you to focus on living in such a way that you are ready to die when your summon comes. Life is a wonderful gift but we too easily forget that it is only given to us for a limited time. And while we may assume that we will live at least sixty or seventy years, there is no assurance of this.
Perhaps you have made light of the idea of preparing for death, you may even have gone to great lengths to convince yourself that there is nothing beyond this life but oblivion, this doesn’t change the facts that “if you are not a true Christian then you are not ready to die”. If the lord Jesus Christ is still outside and Knocking on the door of your heart, I’d suggest you seize this opportunity before it becomes too late. When he eventually stops knocking you won’t be able to invite him in, even if you wanted to. Note that it only becomes too late after you’re dead.
Sinners from birth
Now the greater question will be "why do we need to let Him in?" Because we've been guven the tag "sinners" from birth, and require forgiveness before this label of sin can be taken off our heads, without which we will face the consequence of our sins at the Judgement. But by the turning to God, we can know that Christ's death on the cross has paid sin's penalty for us personally, and there is nothing that can stop a union between us and our Creator. All we have to do is allow him into our lives.
Uninterested in salvation
In a care centre in Portland, Oregon, an elderly Christian man wanted to share the gospel with his roommate who had just been transferred in. When he began to talk to him about the Lord, the man stated in clear terms that he wasn't interested. Though the Christian man persisted, gently telling the man "you may not have too long to live", the man was apparently unconcerned by such thoughts. On the Saturday of the same week, the Christian again tried to interest the man in making peace with God but again he responded "I don't want to hear of it!".
The following morning, the christian listened to a church service on bis radio, he made sire the man could hear what was being said. After it was over, he tried once more to convince him of christ and the need to be saved, only to be met once more with the response "I'm not interested". Jesus was knocking at the door of this man's heart through the entreaties of the christian but his heart was shut.
Too late to be saved?
That very Sunday night, the christian was startled out of sleep by the dreadful screams of the man, no one knows what he dreamt of but by the time the attendants arrived, he was already "dead". The last knock had come but no one answered the door, it was too eternally late.
Now or never
The truth is its never too late as long as you're alive. Gods mercy is always extended to you even at thos moment, don't wait to answer the door, for He is always ready to accept you provided you're still alive. Open your heart, let him come in so you can experience the peace of knowing you can live while being ready to die without fear.
The end.

I am not scared of death because all of us will be going there. The life we had today is not forever and is not guaranteed because we don't know when will God take it from us but we should live the life that God give us by appreciating it everyday, be thankful for it and put God in the center of it.
