Fear of Failure
Do you still remember how nervous you are before your examination especially if the subject is the one that you're not that good at?
Can you still recall how fast your heart beats as your teacher announces your scores?
Can you still recall how nervous are you while you're on your way to your job interview?
Those feelings are due to one single reason.
You're afraid to fail.
You're afraid that you're not going to make it!.
You're afraid to accept the consequences of being a failure.
Admit it or not, nobody ever wanted to fail. Of course, all of us wanted to taste the sweetness of SUCCESS in our every goal.
Failure is part of being a Human
We cannot ever deny that failure is part of being a human.
Hence, we have to accept the fact that it is normal, cause we're just human in the first place.
And as for the saying "nobody is perfect" - this simply means that everybody is bound to make mistakes and will experience how to be a failure.
Failure helps us learn the most valuable lessons in our life.
Failure helps us see our mistakes, our imperfections and helps us find ways to avoid the same mistake in the future.
In other words, failure helps us to improve and make a better version of ourselves.
It helps us discover how far we can go that in the end, we will be able to tell ourselves "gosh!. I never knew that I can also do it!. And I just did it!"
Always "Fail Forward" - Never "Rollback"
In my line of work, we have terminologies whenever we are executing changes in the production environment. We have what we're so-called the "rollback" procedure. This is the step that we need to perform if in any case our implementation didn't work or introduced an issue.
We have two possible actions: "rollback" or "fail forward".
Rollback means, to revert the changes we did and go back to the latest working version of the code. Whereas fail forward means, to find resolution on the issue introduced by the change without going back to the old version.
If we're going to apply these procedures in our life, I always believe that we should always fail forward. Accept our failure, try to fix it, and move forward with it.
Cause if you keep on rolling back, you might be left behind. In other words, you will be stuck to wherever you are if you keep on coming back to the old version of "you".
What to do when failed
There are things you can do whenever you failed.
Accept the fact that you failed. This is the very first thing that you need to do. Cause if you will keep on denying that you didn't fail, then you will never learn how to overcome that failure cause you do not look at it as a failure. Remember that each failure teaches on how to improve ourselves further, to learn and discover new strategies to succeed.
Seek advice. Gathering several opinions or ideas can help reinvent your ideas into something new. Do not isolate yourself from others when you fail.
Open your mind, and your ears to other's suggestions as those ideas can help us get up from a fall.
Change Direction if necessary. In your next attempt at achieving your goal/s, when you see that failure is coming your way again, stop for a while, and think. Change your strategy and consider changing your route as well. Try to step out of the box for you to see a clear picture of what's inside.
The ability to sense failure is also a skill that you need to develop along the way. It will help you change your game plan which saves you from falling.
Do not give up. This is one of the main keys to success. You should develop a strong fighting spirit. As we commonly said, "practice makes perfect".
Try and try and do not give up. Failures are those who stop whenever they sense that they are approaching failure and that their work plan might not work already.
It's okay to stop for a while but do not end the story of your failure right away. Cause doing that is like you're claiming that you're a failure already without even trying to complete the race.
Closing Remarks
The beauty of failure is that it helps you to become a better person. It helps us create an upgraded version of ourselves. . Be open to suggestions always. Always fail forward - do not roll back, keep on moving forward, and do not go back. It's okay to stop for a while but never give up. Just do not quit cause quitters never win :).

I use to be afraid of failing and that's what really the reason why my first account has been rated as spam. I found that i failed to be a good writer because i can't get any reader's in my article,i feel ashamed for myself. I hate being a failure and your article makes me realize that i must not stay in my safe zone,i must face the bitterness of failing . I must be at fail forward and will make some changes and try not go back on my old version.
