Another myth: Ghost hunt

Good day/night to you all. Hope you had a cool Tuesday? Mine was good but with a little thought on the Dip on the Cryptoverse especially our BCH. Last week BCH was trying to recover with green light and I was happy because the crypto gurus always say that once a coin has gotten to a certain deep depth, the next thing will be rise and not come down again but what I saw today weakened me,,,I saw $111 again...from $120 as of earlier this month.

Enough of the Crypto talk, let me dive in to the topic of the day.

It's me again about to rant on what I thought on today! It's all about ghost, robbery and killings.

For some weeks, we've been having terrible experiences of robbery and killings in the city I live in. This has made my boss to be closing earlier than us because his house is situated at the outskirt of the town and things are really happening in the hood. The robbery cases we've heard from that side(my boss's house) always occur as from 7:00pm.

If it's only robbery that's the problem, it would have been managable but this evil occurrences are coupled with with "slaughters". Slaughter in the sense that it's not just killing by gun but killing with gun and special parts are being cut off.

The case has been so alarming in the community and everyone has fastened up with security consciousness.

One was apprehended

It was last week when we saw videos trending on WhatsApp status about an armed robber that was shot on the leg. Yes, that night's operation did not favour them, one was shot dead, four of them escaped and one was shot on the leg.

He was interrogated and he poured out all that they've been doing. According to the video, their operation is two sided; they go out to rob and also kill & cut out sensitive part of the body to sell out! He also mentioned where they would find the escaped group members.

I know you must have heard more terrible confessions that this from these heartless humans.

How come People find it ease with killing?

The killing and sluaghtering are my bone of contention on this article. I've always wondered on how people find it easy to kill these days, not just killing but having the mind to cut human parts like the way we butcher goat during Christmas. Don't they feel weird doing so?

Let's imagine this together;

• Get a double edged sharp knife,

• Place it on someone's throat,

• At the exact spot of Adam's apple location,

• Then sway the knife front and back with pressure,

• The knife penetrates inside the flesh and cuts one vein,

• And blood splashes out.

Jeeez!

I can't imagine myself doing that for anyday!

I used to believe that ghost hunt for their murderers

Up till now, with stories we've read and movies we've seen, a lot of us believe that when someone is killed before his/her time, the ghost will stay on earth to hunt down the murderer/killer. I believed this so much from our local movies (Nollywood) but as I'm growing older and seeing things, I've Concluded that those ghost that go about hunting their killers is nothing but a mythical belief.

If actually ghosts hunt for their killers, the rate of killing would have been reduced. We would have been hearing news of ritualist being chased at day in the public as we always see in the movie.

To the non Nigerians that are not familiar with this ghost chasing;

Here we believe that (from movies and stories) when a human is killed in a terrible way, the ghost will stay on earth with a restless anger to hunt for the his/her murderer. In Nollywood movies in particular, the ghost would appear to scare th killer thereby making the man scared and calling for help...

So what's your day about this?

Do ghosts really go about hunting for their killers?

Or it's just a myth?
