Transportation in the Country during the Pandemic

With this pandemic, we have realized that the major cause of traffic in the country are not public transportation. They are not buses, tricycles, nor jeepneys. But they are what you see now.

With private vehicles, there are only a few passengers who can be accommodated which would cause a more congested road. We also notice that many have availed their own cars as they see traveling through PUVs hassle. As a result, people do not save money and worst contribute to air pollution.

With limited public transportation, many have seen the need to buy their own cars, even if they have never planned for it in the very first place. This is evident since the start of community quarantine in the country as the roads are now piled up with new cars.

However, the sad truth is this: even how much everybody would like to have their own cars, not each of us is capable to have one. The poor ones are always left behind. They are the ones who wait in long queues for hours. And worst, they are the ones who are prone to be exposed to the virus.

So, what should we do to address this problem? Or how should the government respond to this?

The vulnerable sector should be protected. But with what is happening, it seems like there is little consideration.

Nicee observation. Well for my opinion balik-probinsya program is one of the solution. I'll also add up to remove the provincial rate. Why? Because the only reason why people tend to go to cities was because to find a work with higher salary. The higher the salary the better for them to save up and live for their own. Thats why they ended up staying in rural areas instead of having a peaceful life in the urban areas. Its so sad that the concept of this was affecting many people especially during rush hours.

Let's just hope for the betterment of the socuety together with the people. I hope everyone will learn from their own mistakes, especially in this phenomenon.

Keep it up with a good article😊

I hope the government address this issue during this time of pandemic. The balik-probinsya program might not be effective since those who come from the rural areas might be infected with the virus and might spread it in provinces that we know have poor health facilities.

Thanks a lot for always commenting on my articles :)

Balik-probinsya is not okay for now. Since we lack the capacity and capability yo accommodate those who wants to go home. But this program can be useful hen the world heals. When everyone is ready to start for a new normal. When the pandemic is gone

May pandemic man o wala, we should still not put the blame to one anothrr. It's not just the government. It's not just the private sector. We might not see the good deeds they have done but I know they are also trying to do what's best. The laws are there to somehow provide equality and peace. What should be done here is unity and discipline. Change is not gonna happen if we are not going to do our part as a member of the society we are in, that is craving for a change. We should all practice discipline, unity and participation. We should be all thinking as a team not just as a selfish human.
