Sometimes we are just focused on the sidelines of our lives and tend not to develop ourselves. But have you ever thought of changing your life for the better? Regardless of your answer, we all have the opportunity to develop ourselves, to develop something different, and we all have the power to make our lives better than what it is today.
Now, step out of your comfort zone and be a better person than before. Why not improve yourself by practicing these tips? Developing yourself takes time though, but you need to be dedicated and be kind to yourself to successfully achieve the development you are aiming for.
First off...
Love Yourself
Sometimes you are busy loving others that you tend to forget to love yourself. It is actually easier said than done, but it is the most and first thing you should consider if you want to improve yourself. You need to accept yourself for who you are, no matter how you look, tell yourself you are beautiful just the way you are.
Try to practice telling yourself how special you are every day when you wake up in the morning while facing in front of the mirror. We are all special in our own way. You don't need to be like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, or anyone else, because you are for who you are. Be yourself, accept yourself, recognize what special talents are hidden within you. Again, it takes time, but once you learned how to love yourself, you will see a big difference in your life. And self-love and self-acceptance will lead you to happiness.
Change Your Habits
It's actually tough to change something you are comfortable with, the daily routines that make your life easier. But let me ask you, did your daily routines made you a better person? Perhaps NO because you are reading this article right now. It's not a pain in the ass if you will change something in your routine that didn't actually contribute well to your well-being.
If your waking time is 9 or 10 in the morning, will you be able to do all your tasks within the day? Isn't it better if you will wake up earlier so you can do other things like a morning walk or exercise, and other things? They said that waking up early has a lot of benefits such as giving you a positive outlook, more energy, better problem solving and mental health, and more time to finish the tasks for the day. Moreover, you will avoid stressful traffic and will be ahead of those thousands of commuters.
Do you organize your stuff? I bet some are not. Maybe it's time to tidy up your place to create a better environment. Having a clean and organized place is healthy and isn't good to look at if your place is tidy and clean? It boosts your mood and creates a good ambiance, thus, making your work smooth and easy.
What about vices like cigarette smoking, alcohol, etc? Think about the money you spent on those things. What if you invest it into something else? Something that will benefit you and won't risk your health. (Why not invest in crypto than spending too much money on your vices? 😉)
We have a lot of habits and I guess it's time to filter out the bad ones from the good ones. We are all grown-ups, we shouldn't act like a teen with a lot of vices. Think for the better, think for your health. A little change can make an improved quality of life.
Create Your Personal Mission Statement
Have you heard about this? Well, I have learned this through reading articles online. We actually need a personal mission statement in life to know who we truly are, what we truly want, and what destination we want to reach.

Unleash Your Hidden Skills
I believe that all of us have a hidden talent that we still need to unleash. Developing a new skill will boost confidence in ourselves, it will contribute to our self-growth, and we feel like want to learn more, and that is a cycle that fuels itself.
I am an introverted person but I can be an ambivert if I want to. It's just a matter of time and more confidence to be more social. And of course, the people to socializes with matters as well.
And if you think you can be good in art, or other fields, why not try to unleash that hidden talent of yours. There are many ways to learn new skills as well. Technology is providing us everything that we need to learn new skills, or if you want, you can take free courses and workshops.
We grow as a person by challenging ourselves to learn new skills, and it's a big factor for self-development.
Practice Healthy Lifestyle
Our lifestyle is what made us as a person. As they've said, "we are what we eat." We are not young anymore to spoil ourselves with delicious but unhealthy foods. We are already aging so we need to watch our diet as well because it is still us who will suffer in the future. Don't wait for the time that you are already lying on your death bed. It's not too late yet though, you can still change your diet and practice a healthy lifestyle.
Aside from watching your diet, maybe it's also time to take some exercise. Do not just sit down there and watch your favorite Kdrama on Netflix the whole time while popping your favorite food beside you. You will gain nothing but fats. Why not get some indoor exercise like yoga or meditation. There are a lot of videos online about healthy exercises, yoga, and meditation. You don't need to buy a membership at the gym just to obtain the body figure you want to achieve. Moreover, yoga and meditation will help you calm and detoxify your mind and body without exerting too much effort.

Learn How To Deal With Negative Thoughts and Emotions
Part of achieving a healthy lifestyle is dealing with negative thoughts and emotions. We can't be called healthy if we think negatively and act irrationally. It may be tough at first, but it will become easy once you learned how to control your negative thoughts and emotions.
Why is this important? Because it will create a more complicated problem once we allow negativity to fester our thoughts and ruin our day. This is a thing that I always do every time negativity fester my thoughts. I just need to brush it off or divert it to something positive. Again it's tough at first, but it will be tougher if you will not learn how to brush off negative thoughts and emotions. That is why yoga and meditation are important. It will help you learn how to control yourself, calm your mind and your body.
Set Your Goal
Setting goals is important as creating a personal mission statement. Do not just create a goal, but learn how to visualize it, and of course, act on it. A goal without action is useless. Just like riding on a boat without a paddle, it would be difficult for you to reach your destination if you don't have a paddle.
And if you are my avid reader, for sure you know about my goals. Sometimes, I visualize myself accumulating more BCH and through BCH, I will be able to put up my own business and build my own house and help unfortunate people in my place.

Stop Procrastinating
This is a thing that is too difficult to remove from our lives. It's been a hobby for many and the reason why we can't move on to a better side of our lives because we are always stuck with time, not seizing the opportunities that come our way. But those mentioned above are useless if we keep wasting our time if we keep procrastinating. The goals cannot be executed if we are just stuck in one place, not moving around, not doing the right thing, and not heading in the right direction.
When we don't procrastinate, we accomplish more things and move on to other fresh and exciting. We free up more time when we act on things that we need to get done and give more time for relaxation and more interesting and important things.

Then don't waste your time. Seize every opportunity that comes in your way. Get up, move, and lead your way towards achieving your goals in life.
Accept The Failure, The Past, and The Change
Failure is just part of our journey in life. We will fall many times, fail many times, but it doesn't mean that we will stop at a spot where we fall, it doesn't mean that we can't continue our journey just because we failed to do a certain thing. Accepting failures is something like stretching beyond our comfort zone, and that will make us grow as a person. Failures are what make us stronger and once we learn how to embrace them, we will be able to know what better things to do next, and how we can overcome such failures and difficulties in life.
Sometimes, the past is what hinders us to continue our journey. We can't move on because we are stuck. But we should always remember that what is done is done. Let the negative past be in the past. The only thing to move on to is to accept the past, learn from it, and push ourselves forward. It's not easy to forget, but we can forgive to move forward. Do you want to reach your goal destination? Then accept the past and follow the right path.
Accepting the change might be tough as well. We have been in our comfort zone for a long time, and so when we step out from it and feel the changes, it makes us don't feel good as well. I know it's not easy to accept the change but think of it as a way to make your life a better one, a tool to make you a better person. Accepting the change will help you better deal with the past and move forward to the future. The sooner you accept it, the happier you will be.
Be Grateful
Last but not least and the most important part of self-improvement is always being thankful for whatever blessings, whatever changes, and whatever goals we have attained in life. What do you think the reason why many people are still unhappy despite the achievements they have obtained in life? That is because they don't practice gratitude. They don't understand that happiness comes from within.
Many thought that success leads to happiness, but NO, happiness leads to success. What will you gonna do with your money if it won't make you happy? We should be happy with what we have and not aim too much for what we don't have in life.
Waking up every morning is a thing to be grateful for. Having food on our plates is another blessing to thank for. Receiving a salary from our job is a great opportunity to be thankful for.
So at the end of the day, try to spare some time to contemplate what happened in your life, and acknowledge the positive things and be grateful for them. The more you do this, the happier you will be.
The journey to self-improvement is a continuous process of constant learning. It will help us evaluate our strengths and weaknesses, and allow us to develop our new skills. And what matters here is, it will make us grow as a person, and while developing our skills, we improve our self-awareness, and boost our self-confidence.
So step out from your comfort zone and create a better version of yourself!
