Don't Speak Too Soon
***November 24, 2021*** ***Are you a music lover? Are there songs that resonate with your soul?***
I'm a music lover myself and it has been my stress reliever and calmer. If I feel weary and exhausted and lonely. I would sit down at the corner, put my headset on, play something soft and relaxing, let the music untangle the weary thoughts, and put the puzzling pieces in my mind into place. If my mind gets blank and writer's block takes over. I'll just play the music on and let it form thoughts in my mind, then later I would collect them, and put them into words. There are a lot of songs that could inspire us to write stories or even make reviews where we could tell something about it or share our thoughts and how we define the song. And how we could relate it to our lives. My previous article for instance was inspired by the songs of my favorite Filipino artist Moira de la Torre. Some music would also let us reflect on ourselves, look back at our past, contemplate on different things, and some would resonate with our souls. Some message is so deep that it diverts us into a dimension where the song wants us to realize something, to decide something, to ponder something, for us to make us do the right move or appreciate what things we have in life, and not to worry about what tomorrow would bring. Just recently, I was listening to soft acoustic music as usual. I got hooked by this new song on my list. It's entitled "***Too Soon" by Kina Grannis.*** It was my first time to hear this song and listen to the singer's songs. At the end of the song, I stopped doing something when I heard the singer sharing about the song and her life. https://youtu.be/CpLBgoK7o7E I listed it down for you to know the message of the song. But I slightly modified it and made it like in general instead of referring to a certain person. Here it is. *A lot of us go through life wherein everything seems complicated.* ***Sometimes we don't know what we need, what we want, who we are, where we are going, and figuratively feel like we're just floating around.*** *And we could feel the world pushing and pulling us like trying to make us decide things. It's like asking us, "who are you? What do you stand for? What do you want?" But we just don't know. And we badly wanted to know who we are.* *The song is about being okay in that space. Recognizing that we are just floating around, confused, and things feel hard, and that's okay. We lost track sometimes but wish to come back someday.* ***People don't want to look back because they only want to look forward.*** *When we were young and figuratively didn't know life yet, there was a lot in the past that we wanted to be in the future, and maybe we want to be in our present. Sometimes we are thinking about them. Maybe because we are supposed to look back in the past and bring them forward with us.* *People look at crying as a weak part of humans. But it is somewhat important. And to let ourselves cry can be strong. And often necessary, granted that there are people out there who maybe don't need to cry, but that's fine. But for those who do feel so much, just cry.* *Sometimes we feel like there's sadness and shadows building in our life, and there is a cloud that is growing and becoming heavy over us. And as soon as our tears fall, it will rain and the cloud is down and everything feels better.* ***Sometimes we just truly need to get out of our bodies and don't be afraid to cry.*** *Because sometimes, all we need is just to cry and acknowledge what we are feeling and what we are going through, and just cry it out.* ***-Kina Grannis*** This song would truly resonate with your soul if you'll listen to it so dearly, as it does to me. This positively conveys that we should look back at our past and resolve the mess we have made. Because it sometimes caught us up and made us lose track. But not all are capable enough to come back on track. And that might be the reason why others prefer to look forward than look back. However, there are things in the past that could help us realize something good and make us think that some are worth bringing forward with us. It could be the dreams we made when we were just young. Or knowing how to correct the mistakes we have done before so they won't transpire again in the present or future. And the lessons we got from the experiences we have in the past are worth bringing forward with us as well. We just have to dwell on them positively. And as the singer says above, there's nothing wrong with crying. Because sometimes, what we only need is to shed tears and let them wash and clean our unclear minds and weary souls. We don't need to prevent our tears from bursting out because it would only make us feel heavier. Just like a heavy and dark cloud, it would release the rain freely once it can not bear the weight anymore. Additionally, as you listen to the song, you'll learn that it also conveys the ***emotion of someone who truly wanted to grow freely without any expectations.***
We are living in this world full of expectations. People around us always expect something good or high from us. And that sometimes hinders our growth as we are hesitant to step out of our shells to explore new things. And in some cases, those expectations make them lose track and don't know how to get back up. So they ended up getting stuck in the vein, or worse, end their journey by themselves. Sometimes, we better be off alone so we could figure out things by ourselves. No expectations, no pressure, no burdens, no barriers. Just ourselves alone. ***Don't speak too soon***. If you know someone feeling heavy and needs to cry. Don't stop him. Just let him cry. Don't wipe his tears too soon. Because we don't know if his tears are sad or happy. And maybe that's what he truly needs to feel better later. Let his tears wash and clean his unclear mind and weary soul. Because after that, everything will be better and lighter. *What song resonates with your soul?* *Share your thoughts below.* *Thanks for your time.* *©read.cash@Jane (All Rights Reserved 2021)*

Well... life will be sad without music, without art, without smiles!
You said it all. And without colors haha
I can't imagine life without music, it moves my soul, my spirit, brightens my days, inspires me. Here at home we have a musician and that is what motivates him every day to go on and look forward.
I love listening to musicians playing on the streets.. Hehe. Every time I see one, I would stop and listen for a while.
I get emotional with music and it helps me shed a lot of weight off temporarily because it is hard to get over things bothering me. I love music and I listen almost every night before going to bed, my favorite genre is rap and people wonder how rap music could make me emotional.
I don't like rap and noisy music, i love the soft ones..
Not all rap are lousy, the lyrics is the power of every song to me.
They are not lousy..but i find their melodies noisy 😅
I love soft music where it likes calm my mind. I don't really have the specific song as long as it's soft. Anyway, we have to be a listener first before a speaker in order for us to know what's the best word to say.
Indeed.. So we know what action to do as well
Songs/music are my comforter too when I am feeling down. My day won't be complete without listening to any music. Bago matulog talagang nakikinig muna ako ng music.
Same.. Soft music pampatulog ko
Sometimes letting out all pent up stress by crying is the best thing to do. It isn't bad to cry.
True.. That's we can release the heavy feeling.
If you found someone hurting.Just listen, make him or her feel there is someone who is willing to listen and care about how he is feeling.let him or her cry until he or she is ready to tell the reason why he or she is hurting.
Indeed.. Be a good listener before you speak. Or even judge him
Ganda ng message nya sis. I do sing songs kahit mag-isa ako lol! Music makes the soul glow din
Ako dn haha. Kpg wala nakikinig 🤣
Interesting, I must also looked upon the song. Mine was the song titled "Blessing in disguise" by Laura Story. That's the music I can't delete and tired of listening especially when I'm on pain hehe..
Then I should add this to my list haha..
Music is life,❣️ i prefer solemn or worship songs because it really refreshes my soul like "thank you Jesus for the blood applied" by Charity Gale. I love the message or lyrics of the song😌.
I like worship songs too. Especially kung sobrang down ako
Old songs are really inspirational, I mean it can make you ponder with lyrics, I don't know if this song that inspires you is an old song tho haha.. I never get ashamed for crying, it's a therapy of my soul.
It's not so old. First time ko rn marinig yan. But I like the meaning
I love listening to music as well lalo na while working kasi mas nakaka focus talaga ako. And about crying din, I remember a line from the song of RM of BTS, "It's okay to shed tears, but do not tear yourself."
Ay mganda iarticle yan haha
I'm a big music fan and I love listening to music especially the music takes away my loneliness. But I have a bad habit that I speak too loudly which I understand but can't give up the habit. There are some songs that cool the mind when you listen to them.
I love music , the love I have for it is exceptional , whenever I'm sad or when everything turns dark blue, I could only help myself by listening to music because it gives life to my soul and it reawakened my weakest part.... I love listening to music every moment in regardless of what I'm passing through. Some times , life will show you the bitter parts of itself, it will trow you bricks, it will hit you hard till you stumble and you'll feel like the world is coming to end. Not at all, it's that not the end end of it all, when you feel like crying along the process, it fine, you'll be reenergized to continue from where you stopping. Crying doesn't shows that you're weak , but it shows how strong you can be to move on.
It shows you are strong coz you're able to shed tears that some can't do.
I love music. It's what makes me feel like I can make the world perfect. It fills me with energy.
i mostly listen Taylor swift's songs, ed sheeran, and old songs. When I feel down I dunno but I want to listen to sad music, it calms my heart more. I want to be sadder tru listening to the song so can release my emotions.
First, ang ganda mo, Ateeee! Hiyang na hiyang ang HK ih. 😍 Music lover din ako pero mostly is foreign songs talaga like K-Pop, Western, ganiyan. Ang ka-calm kasi ay, as in. Pasok na pasok sa preferences ko. Upon the lines, ito talaga tumatak sa akin eh. "Sometimes we don't know .......... where we are going." Dami kong plan, alam mo 'yan, Ate pero clueless pa din ako kung anong endgame n'yang mga plans ko eh. As in, daming what ifs pero sige. Push pa din natin! 🧡💪🏻
Haha.. Love the spirit. Tama push lng ng push. ..bsta masipag pagpapalain someday 😁
I love music a lot and I have about 1000+ songs in my phone (although I don't listen to all of them). I was taking a nap earlier and I played a playlist of classical music I have in my phone, it was truly magical listening to them while sleeping 😊
Wow.. That's too many.. I guess it occupied most of your memory lol.. But do you know an app where I can play music offline?
Crying is really the best comfort. After we let out what and how we feel, we would instantly feel relieved like a burden is being removed from our shoulders.
True...gumagaan after crying
Music is life and that is why when you feel down if you listen to music your soul will rise again I love listening to music as well but my headphone is faulty now and for now I can afford to buy another one because of my shop project that am dealing with now I won't listen to music for now
Just play it with speaker then 😅
I am music lovers too. I like music so much. My favourite singer is zayn malik. He is British pop star. I like all kind pf music. Songs make me more comfortable when i am alone. I feel music. When i goes to bed i love yo listen music than goes to bed. Music without feel is just a simple sound.
True.. Im playing music before sleeping too
I especially love those songs that when you listen to it, it makes you feel like as though you're on another level. Anyway, listening to music for me is therapeutic sometimes.
Same to me
Hindi talaga ako into music type pero ewan ko ba when I am in my down fall music is escape and through listen I could say " Someone unstands me".
Bat naman. Nkakarelax makinig sa music
Yes present here I love music. And owwww just this video you provided this girl has a very amazing voice. I also apply music and cry hehe that's my way feeling emotional and my comforter later on.
I love music... I am very particular about lyrics and tune and from the look of things, I might just download this music and put it on repeat... I will give you a feedback on it later on. Come closer, let's dance in the time being...
Why not make an article about it haha..
Yes, I love music. I was enthusiastic about the songs on the radio when I was young. Then I moved on to listening to classical music and now I am happy with worship and praise music. Music appeases the wild beasts even our rebellious spirit. Hehehe
Hehe.. Indeed.
