Living in a 21st century we're in a digital era where it doesn't matter one to continue college when you have so many reasons to say it's nothing more than overrated.

Yea, few days back saw a nightfall video he said School are overrated and that made me think of colleges.

So many reasons to sau that it is overrated even tho a bit controversial thing to talk about but it depends on which state you're in.

Education in Europe or US etc like places are where make sense to continue college or further more but living in a part of Asia where education system is way more worse than it was like 1000 years ago.

Yea, kind of way more backward as per my opinion and understanding.

Reasons College is overrated

As far I think college doesn't teach us skills. We ain't getting knowledge by memorizing Books or syllabus the whole time.

This practical life of our is something where survival is based on making money, wealth and it will eventually earn you society respect.

They say knowledge is the power but for me it is Power is Power ~ GOT.

Alright, College just gives you degree's and where that degree leads you?

Imagine you've spent 18-25 years in college to uni or graduation finally.

Even after getting degree I saw people unemployed for months or years. Depends totally on country and employment rate.

But even after getting a 9 to 5 job that person will earn less than what a businessman is earning.

education is necessary

One should have education and it's an era where one cannot really live without it. For me education teach ethics, respecting elders and the way we communicate and our actions it all matters.

Doing maths, having idea about everything practically or non doesn't matter.

Knowing everything legal or illegal, Good or bad is what education teach us and it is necessary.

Other than that, Good grades etc this whole concept is something I don't like.

Our future depends on Grades

To be honest, the worst thing about Colleges, school is when it comes to Grades. I Got pretty bad marks and at that time

I lost my grandfather, uncle, COVID and family problems was reasons behind getting bad grades.

And since I Got bad grades. it literally made my morale down and decided not to continue college because i wasn't getting Admission in the field I wanted to be in and also had seen enough in school life.

Where I was literally being taught of 80s era computer, like floppy disks etc.

Skills and will of learning matter

Colleges doesn't teach us any skills and it doesn't require "will of learning" but just memorizing Books which will never be useful in the rest of life.

At least when a person have a mindset and will of learning skills than he/she can do better than those who have degree.

And when a person have skills he can be independent and do wonders.

I have seen so many people who are billionaire or successful without going to college.

Christopher Nolan never went to school

In the world of cinema if you don't know "Christopher Nolan" you're missing out real cinema.

He's the best in cinematic universe and his job.

And he is an example who never went to school or even tho never learnt film making but he started making films when was a kid and the rest is history.

There's many more examples out there. I ain't taking those example that seriously but it all depends on person will and mindset.

Well, it's more like a random thoughts came into my mind.

Anyway, nevermind I decided to continue studies and got Admission in college. Trust me I know won't get much out of it except degree and that's what I need. so I'm going to learn other skills in my free time and a part time job to bear my college expenses and will keep college just for study and getting good grades will be goal without making friends or 99 other distractions.

Will tell the whole story some other time as of now I'm about get real busy in my life.

I think so messed up lot of things and I need to make better decisions and it's not easy at all. Doing all alone at your own makes it quite hard but ain't letting anything go wrong this time as I can't really afford.
