3 fields that are forever relevant...
In the year 2014 when I sat for my first jamb, I went to one of my mentors and seek his advice. I can remember all that he said that day. It’s still o fresh in my brain. He said “I can’t tell about other countries but here in Nigeria there are 3 courses that can never lose their relevance 1. The food business No matter how hard or easy things are in the country, the demand for food will forever exist. The food business is one of the most lucrative ventures one can go into. It isn’t limited to planting one crop or the other. Rearing of animals (livestock) is also a profitable business. Opening a restaurant is also any business related to food, all you need is a good marketing strategy, a good location and a good chef. Going into the food business might not guarantee you wealth but it will surely make you rich. 2. Construction field Every year people complain about each Government in power, complaining of how tough things are, yet people don’t stop building houses. I don’t know if a day will come when there will no longer be land for people to build different structures on but the need to renovate a building, re-construct a road, construct a new bridge will forever be relevant. Nowadays it’s common to see everyone going into real estate. Even those who studied courses not related to construction now do it because of how lucrative it is. Food business might not guarantee you wealth but going into real estate or construction will make you wealthy if you go about it the right way. 3. Law and Medicine There will always be one dispute or the other therefore the need for a lawyer will forever be relevant. Though it’s common to see law graduates roaming about with a folder in hand looking for Jobs in the country. Most of them camp around the police station looking for a “Charge and bail” job to do. That doesn’t take away the fact that it’s a profession that will always exist for years to come. On the other side is the medical line is like a brother to the law field. The need for a Doctor has been on from Generation to Generation. It’s inevitable. There will always be the need for a new vaccine, a new disease and virus will surface whether we humans like it or not and those in the medical line will always be at the forefront to fight these diseases. It’s just so painful to see our Doctors here in Nigeria, Underpaid and still owed salaries. This ought not to be. This has led to some parents discouraging their kids from going for medical courses. These were the words of my mentor 7 years ago and I must say the 3 fields he mentioned are still very much relevant today (though not the exact words he used) but other fields are turning out to be all-important too. Every day new innovations arise which birth the need for more knowledge. Let’s take Tech for example is turning out to be one o the most important fields one can go into today. We are going into days when technology is taking over from humans. As new innovations surface, we have to move with them, else one will be left behind. Blockchain and cryptocurrency is another field most countries are already adding to their curriculum. I look forward to the day we will have such in Nigeria to0. If I'm to advise the coming generation and mine, it will be to get familiar with different tech now and also explore the blockchain field. The earlier we embrace the use of cryptocurrency and the latest technological advancement, the better. Though the government is doing all to truncate the growth of the former. Thanks for Reading! 🤗💚✍

The three fields you mentioned above are really important and would never lose their importance no matter how far we come. I am hopeful, soon people will accept cryptocurrency fully.
I actually disagree. Eventually the field of medicine and law will phase out as humans in this field will be replaced by AI and robots. It's already happening gradually

The three that you have mentioned here are very important. But I really want people to do new things out of these. But there is logic in your words.
Those you've mentioned are surely good field to venture in to become wealthy...am just been patient till the government of our country legalize crypto.
Your right that is relevant and it's a good way to invest in such business too. However, doing a research is much more safer.
The food: It's no a lie, the demand of food is on a regularly basis, humans eat everyday. Even if there's no money for shelter, stomach is catered for first before the other. Food centers hardly go down unless poor management. The construction: Especially this festive period where people are complaining of no money, it'll surprise us that mega projects are going in the villages to welcome People home. Buildings never end, they never go on break
Of course sir, food business would always top the list. I know of a young graduate who used his modest inheritance after his father's death to set up a small bakery. Today he's a the top supplier in our local government and two other areas. When asked about the secret of his success, he smiled and replied " There's nobody that don't eat bread ". 😀
street food vendors are making a lot of money and those that decided to get expand their business by going into the digital world can be wealthy with it. No business can't make one wealthy, we just have to put it our money and time into it.
A business considering the necessities of the people will never be irrelevant. Still, I dive into IT since it's constantly evolving through every project, and technology will never die. It's fun to make innovations with money included, you know. 🤣
The fields and jobs you mentioned are very lucrative and popular in my country, too. Unfortunately the doctors were very hurt and stressed with the arrival of Covid, and also the field of law needs very smart and eloquent people, in otherwise, it imposes psychological pressure on a person. It's great when cryptocurrency curriculum are created, think about how successful and money-making graduates will be... 👌

The three fields you wrote about are so correct. That's what I told my son, I have never seen a jobless doctor anywhere.
Fashion designing too, the 3 basic needs food, clothing and shelter, so any profession that can take care of those 3 will always be forever relevant.
You’ve mentioned the best things right now in Nigeria. The food and estates constructions are also increasing and people are getting richer in those occupations. I hope in the nearest future there should be many more occupations than this little we have now.
I have mentioned this time and time again to my husband that the one who trusted food and started a business has neveer been disappointed ever in his life because people are always hungry and they always buy food.. such a viable business.. However, need to be very careful with hygiene
Seeing food business as number one just gives me joy 😁 agriculture us the new oil and luckily for me, that's what I am studying in school (specifically fisheries). I was thinking you wouldn't mention tech but I saw it at the end as a honourable mention 😆 truly, tech is the future

All what you wrote are very correct , these are very essential because they are required for our everyday life.
We have to protect these things that we have, these are professions aren’t given support even though they render so much help.. They will forever be important to us, because we live each day knowing fully well that we are being catered for by Doctors when we feel sick or construction doesn’t seize or even food…
