Contentment
Happy Sunday friends, the first in February, the month of love and harmony, by far the best month of the year though most people will try to dispute that. lol
I thought of what to write on and so many things crossed my mind, but each is just a few liners, if I start now I might end up stranded after a few paragraphs so I decided to go for a common topic which we all must have read a lot on in time past. “Contentment”- that’s the topic I’m basing today’s article on.
There's a lot of talk about being contented these days and for good reason. It's a valuable mindset to have, especially in today's world.
But what does it mean to be contented? Does it mean having all the things we want? Or does it mean being grateful for what we do have?
The answer is both. Being contented doesn't necessarily mean one has all. It means being grateful for the one you have.
And that's something we all need to remember. We need to be contented with what we have because that's all we're guaranteed in life.
It's not always easy to be contented, especially when we see others living a life that seems much better than our own
There is a lot of talk these days about the pursuit of happiness. But what if we're chasing the wrong thing? What if true contentment comes from being grateful for what we have, instead of always striving for more? I will say “Yes and No” to this. Being contended doesn’t mean one shouldn’t aspire to get more, it only curtails our desperation.
For some, it might mean having all the material possessions they could ever want. But for others, being contented means being grateful for what they have and living a simple life.
People have always aspired to do more, be more and have more. This is a natural human trait that is often motivated by greed but can also be driven by a true desire for more.
We all have a natural desire to want more in our lives but it's what we do with that desire that sets us apart.
Some people see more as a greed for more material possessions, power or status. But true desire is something much deeper. It's a hunger for more knowledge, more understanding, more growth.
It's the desire for more of life's experiences, more love, more connection. Greed is all about taking without giving back. It's focused on acquiring more and more material possessions, regardless of the consequences. But aspiration is different. It's about wanting more for ourselves, but always with the understanding that we want to make the world a better place. It's about using our talents and resources to make a difference in the lives of others.
But desire isn't about greed. It's about wanting more for ourselves, for our families and our world. It's about having the courage to dream big and the determination to make those dreams a reality. So whether you're just starting out or you've been at it for years, remember: you are not limited by your current circumstances. You are limited only by your willingness to aim high and achieve your full potential.
And it's that kind of desire that can take us to great heights.
So whatever your aspiration may be, don't stop until you've truly desired it.
In conclusion, being contended entails so many things and also it doesn’t mean so many things. It doesn't mean that we have to have all the answers or that we're immune to hardships. It means being grateful for the good and the bad, for the moments that make us laugh and the ones that make us cry. We need to be contented in order to be happy. And we believe that everyone has the ability to find contentment, no matter what their circumstances may be. So let's all work together to create a world where everyone can be contented and happy.
Thanks for Reading!🤗💚🤗
For me, being content does not mean I should be satisfied or comfortable with what I've got when i can get even more by putting little consistent efforts but it's about appreciating the little changes that my efforts creates having in mind that slow but steady wins🙂 Good article!!
