Chapter 2 https://read.cash/@Hanzell/colored-2-f1552c60
The days that followed Jean’s visits were mostly spent in silence. The only sounds that could be heard were the records Linda would play while she painted the man and the soft shuffling of feet and sometimes, frustrated groans for when Jean suddenly moves and gets out of pose. At times she would ask him some questions and he would with her as well. Nothing too personal. Both kept their boundaries with each other and treated it as nothing but mere work.
At times, Linda would offer to treat him to dinner at the pub where they met but a number of times, Jean would decline. He simply didn’t want to overstep on her kindness. But on the rare times that he would accept the offer, such as that exceptional night, he was livid. He had already come in with a hot head and just went straight to the pose they had been working on for some days now. But the alcohol in his system seemed to have just amplified his anger.
“I just don’t get it!” Jean was basically fuming as he downed probably the fifth glass of wine for that evening. Linda should remember his low tolerance for another time.
“And what’s been bothering you today?” She would intently gaze at him from the corner of her eye yet she tried her best not to face his way. She knew how much he hated attention when she wasn’t painting him and it showed how much he fidgeted and seemed to shrink under her gaze.
“You. Work. The newspaper publishing house. My life. Everything”
“That’s a lot. But what’s with me?”
He snorted and the next thing she knew, he was glaring at her as if she was a criminal of sorts “Why do you say you want to draw me all the time. Are you some sort of pervert? Never have you shown me whatever it is you’ve been working on. Am I that ugly to be ridiculed like this?”
“You? Ugly?” It was her turn to speak now, after much whinings Jean had already made some 3 glasses since they started drinking. “You say you’re ugly?!?” She stood up and walked to one side of the room that was covered with a whilte cloth. As soon as she uncovered the two canvases that had been drying, Jean went silent. He stood and walked over to where Linda stood.
“These.. Are me..?” He stood in awe and wanted to touch the paintings had they not been wet
“These too” Linda handed him a small sketchpad. It looked pretty new at first glance but as soon as he flipped through the pages, he could see so many sketches of him there. While eating, while taking a break from some poses. A number of those he could remember based on the clothes he wore but some moments honestly went by unnoticed. Never had he seen himself in the eyes of another and for the first time since he came to Paris, he was sure he was doing things right.
“I think I’ll head home now. Thank you for the drink and your time.”
“I’ll walk you. You’re drunk and you might not get home. “ Linda was already getting her coat and scarf and this time, without hesitation, she helped Jean put on his coat. The man was still in a daze even as they walked and even as they arrived at the dorm he had been staying at. Although it was nothing more than a bed and a space for his trunk but it was still somewhere he always returned to.
They bid their goodnights yet Linda still lingered outside the dorm. The cold did not bother her one bit. It probably would bother Jean though with what looked like a lack of a heater or any thick blankets. But besides the thought, Linda couldn’t shake the idea that he might never see Jean again after tonight. Maybe he would see him in a different light from then on. He even refused the payment she was giving him for that day and kept repeating that it felt wrong to continue doing so any further.
I didn't get to draw today. I'm a dumdum that forgot all my art materials at the dorm but at least I have an idea on what to draw for the next chapter
Misunderstood creature
**[WP] The monster in the closet always makes one tremble. one day, you finally tell the the monster "Leave Creature" The monster answered back "But if I leave, who will protect you from the monsters"**
It all started when Zach turned 5. Each night he would pester either of his parents if they could sleep in their room for that night. most of the time he would be allowed to but in times where his parents wanted nothing more than to have the room for themselves, he was left with no other choice but to sleep in his own room. It was either that or he would get yelled at and grounded. Of course being grounded was out of the question. He barely even lingered for more than 5 minutes in his room. He was always in a rush to leave, the moment he entered.
At some point, his parents offered to install a night light but as soon as the door was closed, the night light only made things worse for him. It illuminated **it** more than he wanted. He could always still see it, the glowing red eyes that could still be seen from the closet door gratings. It was worse when he or his mom forgot to close the closet too. In those rare instances, he could clearly see the black figure that seemed to blend into the darkness of the night. The spikes along its spines, the large horns that might as well could pierce the door and the claws... The large blade-like claws that looked like it could kill an animal with ease.
For years and years, Zach lived in fear of his own room that he even asked if he could live in the basement instead but numerous times he would just be told to stay in his room and to stop making a fuss. For 5 years, the fear continued. Zach had turned 10 and he was then told that he should start facing his fears. And that he did.
One night he flung the closet door open and there a pair of eyes glowing red greeted him.
"Leave Creature"
The creature looked intently at Zach and to the boy's surprise, the creature looked saddened.
"If I leave... Who will protect you from the monsters?" Its voice was deep. And resonated terrifyingly so in the room. It was enough to send anyone on a run for their lives but Zach needed to stay firm and as much as he trembled and his fake courage was leaving his body, he needed the creature gone
"You're the monster here! Leave my closet! Go find somewhere else to go"
"But I've always protected you... You used to sleep with me"
"Sleep with a monster? ME? You must be mistaken."
"I used to be your favorite sleeping buddy and protector.."
The creature moved. It stepped out of the closet and if Zach thought it was already big, it doubled in size when it stood outside of the closet. The sight gave him chills and as creature reached for the boy, he made a run for it and escaped the room as soon as he could. Creature just stood there, gazing out the door Zach left from.
When morning came, Zach's parents found the boy had fallen asleep on the couch. He had tried to explain what had happened that night but his mother just got frustrated and guided him back to his room.
In the middle of his room, there lay a crochet doll that his late grandmother had given him so many years ago.
"Hey Zach, look. It's creature. The one nana gave you"
He took the doll in his hands and observed it intensely. The red beaded eyes, the black body, the plush spikes and horns that probably couldn't pierce anything. It looked different from how he had remembered it. Different from the monster that hid in his closet too.
"Maybe that's the monster you've been seeing so much" His mother said with a chuckle as she left Zach to get ready for the day
"Were you the creature in the closet?" No response. "Of course you aren't. a doll can't protect me" He placed the doll back down on his bedside table, maybe it wouldn't bother him that much if it were in plain sight.
That night, no creature stood watch in the closet.
"Looks like we can finally eat, boys" A sinister voice echoed in the room, accompanied with chilling whispers and murmurs
"W-Who are you!" Zach had immediately jumped into bed, pulling the covers high to cover himself
"WE.. We are the monsters your friend had warned you about" At that instant, Zach looked at the creature doll that sat idly on his bedside table "Too bad you sent him away"
He wanted to make a run for it but before his feet could even land on the floor, a black tentacle wrapped around his ankle and dragged him under the bed. Screams were the last thing Creature ever heard from his master.
As the real monsters devoured the boy, A single tear fell from his eye. He couldn't protect his beloved master.

Chapter 1 https://read.cash/@Hanzell/colored-92f0c10c
With a sleepless night, Linda trudged down the still empty street. The sun was yet to rise. Sadly she had an appointment with an aristocrat and she could not afford to be late. Nor could they they even afford her a carriage to pick her up from her residence but hopefully this gig would entail at the very least, meals until dinner. It would save quite enough of her earnings at least.
Another uneventful day on her part where she had to paint what she would call as pigs who had no other activity but to fatten themselves up. Weird. She was never even allowed to rest even when she was in the higher echelon of society. Her work load just doubled as compared to then but nonetheless she was still the busybody she had been raised to be.
The painting took most of the day and luckily this aristocrat was cooperative enough to not move that much, as well as to give her the meals she had hoped for. That's why her departure was after such a late dinner. It would take a while for her to get home.
As she walked, she was intently focused on just getting back to the apartment so she can hopefully rest yet her feet seemed to have carried her back to the pub. She snickered to herself "can't let a day pass without going here, aye"
Although she says it's out of habit, her eyes still kept gazing around the face of each and every person that walked, sat and even as much as just passed through the door. She was quite alert despite how tired she had already looked.
"So did you come to drink or where you looking for someone" the manager placed her hand on her hip and gestured to the man beside her "I never got to introduce you two last night. This is Jean, he's someone I owed a favor to" after introduction, the manager gave a teasing wink and left to cater the other customers. She already knew.
Linda let out a soft sigh then took a rather large swig of her drink "you were the guy playing last night?"
He answered with a nod and was then followed with quite the bright smile that even in a sober state, she would have thought she saw an angel on earth "And you must be the lady staring at me all night last night"
The slight chuckle in his voice seemed to come off as melodious to her ears yet she still had the mind not to.
"I-I was observing! I want to draw you" she said with a rather loud huff then took another swig of her drink. Hopefully the mug was large enough to cover half her face because she was definitely sure that her cheeks may have reddened deeper. He noticed.
"You sure your eyes are right? Might be blind if you think I'm worthy of being drawn"
"I insist! I'll pay you! What time are you free?" It might have been the alcohol in her system but she still k ew exactly what she wanted. She wanted to draw him and there was no way she would let this chance pass by.
He started with a scratch of his head, a faint flush was beginning to dust his cheeks. Or maybe it was the red lights, either way, red looked good on him. "Uh... I'm not sure. Maybe the afternoon? I sell the newspapers in the early morning. Then after, I work at a publishing house"
"That's good for me! I'll pay you as much as you earn from the publishing house"
His eyes widened and he shook his head "I appreciate it but really... I'm not worthy of being drawn"
"Just give it a try. I won't bite. My apartment is close to here so we can just meet up here" and with a flirtatious wink, she downed the rest of her drink. That night she drank until she could barely walk straight and luckily, Jean had been kind enough to walk her home.
It was high pass noon when Linda awoke from her slumber with no recollection of how she got home and in her bed. She wouldn't have minded waking up at the pub after the many times that it had occurred before. After having fixed her own food, a faint knocking resounded in the room. She was surprised when the pianist was at her doorstep
"Hey Linda! it's me Jean! We have an appointment"
She hesitantly opened the door, not having thought of getting dressed yet "um... we have an appointment?"
"You told me last night that you wanted to draw me. So... here I am"
It took a while for the hints to finally register in her head but upon remembering, she immediately left the room in a rush to get her pai ts, a canvas and her stilts which she set up in the middle of the room "I'm so sorry- I just woke up and I... may have forgotten" her tone was rather bashful and she was intent in not meeting his gaze so she looked around the room so as to find a spot that had the lighting she needed. "Can you stand over there, Jean?"
She pointed to the spot by the window
"Now maybe you could lean against it so that it isn't that tiring for you?" Linda was settling herself down behind the canvas, getting a charcoal stick to begin her initial draft. It was special, unlike those gigs she had. This one will be her key to making it big in Paris.
As if something had possessed her, her hand just moved, she drafted on canvas every little detail she wanted to capture. From the dirt on his cheeks to the way the sun would make his hazel eyes seem to glow. The light made him more radiant. More beautiful than she had first saw him
After hours of unending sketching she finally put her charcoal down and thanked Jean before putting the canvas away
"Can I see?" Jean had tried to take a peek of it but was automatically shoved away with filthy hands
"You'll see in time, Jean now how much do I need to pay you?"
"You said as much as the publishing house so... 10 francs" his gaze averted hers, he was getting bashful with getting paid just to stand for her
"Want to have dinner too? It's already dark" as she was counting the coins from her purse, her gaze shifted to the window where she took notice of the setting sun. "I'll cook so you don't need to worry about me spending more than i promised" she could tell that he was rather hesitant of her as she handed him the money and even with the offer for food. But he stayed nonetheless.

Colored
Hellooo and now I'm back to drawing again ^w^ I honestly wanted to color it in but I didn't bring the good color pencils to the dorm
"This is trash!" A tired Linda said in frustration as he observed the new creation she had managed to finish for that day. As an artist trying to thrive in France, any art that can't manage to make an appeal is as good as trash and quite frankly, Linda had been in quite a slump.
Sure, the few gigs she would get for painting aristocrats and making quick sketches of people on the streets were enough to pay the rent and put food in his mouth but it wasn't what he'd call living the dream. Paris, France. The home of many artists that came before him. The city of colors they say yet all she could see was grays.
As she was walking back to her apartment from a rather uneventful day of looking for something to paint, a familiar figure came into view
"Hey Linny, you still going to the pub?"
It was Noel, the first and probably only friend she had managed to make in her entire stay in Paris. Of course it goes without saying that the man was an artist too. One that could always share his troubles with him from experience but their friendship might even be deeper than the bonds of artists but almost that of brothers.
"Yeah, I'll be there. Just need to take my stuff back" She offered a smile and raised the items in her hold, including her stilt, the small trunk of his materials and also her newly finished painting that was still on the process of drying
"Oh just bring that along, not like tha manager would care at this point" Noel grinned rather cheekily and took a step behind Linda. The next think she knew, Noel was already pushing her to the direction of the pub they would often spend their nights in.
"Hey, hey! Okay, I'm going- just be careful! That paint is still wet" she said with a grumble before just trailing behind Noel who had already taken a bit of a lead.
The moment they arrived and settled themselves at their usual spot near the counter a rather tired manager made her presence known
"So what'll it be for the both of you? The usual? Or you want the special?" She was all set and ready to write down their orders with notepad in hand
"The special for tonight. I need a boost" Linda said as she was still finding a spot to put her new painting in
"Oh, you went into the woods today?" The manager was already approaching the new piece, her ever criticizing eye, ready to guve the best tips she could offer "still in a slump, dear?" Her eyes scanned the dull look of the trees that clearly showed the entrance to the forest just on the outskirts of town.
"I think it looks good though. It just needs a little lovin touch is all" Noel offered as encouragement before turning his attention to the pub manager "and I'll have the usual with a side of something sweet"
Once their orders were jotted down, she turned back and hung the strip of paper over the kitchen window before busying herself again with the other customers.
"So Linny, what's with the slump? Haven't sold enough again?" Noel leaned back in his seat, stretching a bit before easing into a comfortable position.
Linda nodded then gazed back at the landscape she had made "Or maybe I'm out of inspiration again" A soft sigh escaped her and she propped her head up with her hand.
The ambiance was as vivid as ever in that pub. The red lights, the booze, the cheerful folks of their town just enjoying their night with songs and stories. It would seem like a sin not be able to enjoy. Yet her she was sulking and brooding over things. But what had snapped her from her thoughts was the mysterious man clad in black clothing. Someone that didn't quite fit the ambience the pub had to offer.
As he seated himself on the upright piano and began playing, the entire pub grew silent. Much more so when an angelic voice had passed from his lips.
Linda abruptly came to a stand and took a few steps forward to observe the man playing "I found it"
"Hey Linny, the food is here, get your tushy back here"
Linda did return to her seat but never did her gaze part from the mysterious stranger that continued to play. She couldn't even tell how many rounds of liquor passed by their table yet she still kept ordering for the sake of being able to stay a little longer.
By 10 the performance had ended and the manager came to greet the man and offered food and the payment he so deserved " I'm glad you begged to be allowed to play. This night was surprisingly busier with you around. Feel free to drink up, you deserve it"
And so he did. He settled himself on the table across the one where Linda and a now tipsy Noel sat.
The night proceeded as such where Linda couldn't even muster the courage to approach the man. She could only stare from afar and by the time she had already gone home, she didn't bother sleeping. She picked up her charcoal and pad and sketched the man to the best of what her blurred memory could offer
She hoped she would see the man again because no matter how good her memory was, the darkness of charcoal wasn't enough to justify how red suited the man beautifully.

WIP
Last is my very dirty hand because why not.
And now I might end up with another series I won't even finish ;;-;;
The last song
**[WP] whenever your soulmate sings you have the song they're singing stuck in your head, you always seem to have sad songs stuck in your head.**
`"Do you have the time`
`To listen to me whine`
`About nothing and everything`
`All at once`
`I am one of those`
`Melodramatic fools`
`Neurotic to the bone`
`No doubt about it"`
It went on for as long as I could remember, really. Songs always played in my head. At first, I had thought it was just babbles and murmurings until they evolved into full songs. Some I recognized while some were completely foreign to me. It was either I never knew the artist or the language was completely foreign to me. But not a day passed by that a song never played in my head. It felt as if I was listening to someone's entire playlist, really. It was nice, like they were sharing their world to me and I came to question if they ever heard the ones I loved listening to, probably not. I think people think I was also going crazy because I keep telling them about these songs.
At first they were all happy songs, maybe the curator in my head was leading a happy life but of course, it seemed random as heck at times. At times I honestly questioned where the sudden punk like green day songs came from but honestly, who was I to complain when I was simply listening to the songs that played in my head.
There came a time, I had tried looking for the one that listened to the music that played in my head but after some embarrassing encounter with a few weird strangers, I sort of just gave up on the idea. I don't believe this person that listened to these songs could be a rocker at a bar and all when they had a pretty consistent sleep habit except for when it came to the weekends, of course. Nor did I believe that they were at the age to be drinking, really, else the playlist might get more and more random at times. I mean, their taste was similar to the tastes of kids my age. And I was just 16, I doubt they knew that many songs from the old times, else I would hear it too.
2 years had passed since the last time I heard a happy song play in my head. It seemed this curator of mine had become sad. So much Adele played, even some old ones like The Smiths, A few old ones then after their venture into sad Japanese songs, it was eventually sad Korean songs and honestly, those ones actually hit home. I came to a point where I was searching up those foreign songs and I came to conclude that maybe they were heartbroken. Maybe still. I wouldn't know. I never stumbled upon them no matter how hard I looked
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPVsPa-BIBk
It was that song again. They always seemed to play this song whenever it rained heavily such as today. It was one of the sad songs I came to enjoy, the beat was pretty slow, simple, heavy, as if it was the last push one would need to end their lives. Yet I still listened to it. It fitted the mood. I gazed out the window from work and just watched as raindrops raced down the window. On days like this that this song played, I wonder what they would be doing and if they just delved deeper in their sadness through such songs.
After what seemed like an endless shift at work, I was finally free. I decided to skip taking the bus, the rain was clearing up and I needed to feel the crisp cold breeze the weather offered. As I closed in on the park I took as a shortcut, there I saw this busker. Keyboards set up on the sidewalk but what struck me the most was her voice. It was exactly the same voice that had lulled me to sleep countless of times. The one that originally sang only of happy songs and the same one that had been singing nothing but sad songs lately, including the one that was playing in my head "Slow dancing in the dark"
Time paused for a moment and I relished in the sensation of having listened to her voice, not from my head but in the flesh. I really hoped the moment would last forever yet in an instant, Shrill and frantic cries could be heard from a distance
"Get out of the way!!" A panicked man also shouted as he peered his head out the passenger side window. The car was swerving out of control. The tires screeched, the breaks seemed to be broken and it was headed towards her.
After such a loud crash, silence greeted my head. There was no more singing, nothing. And I just stood there, watching as her blood pooled around her feet, her upper body, hanging from the car's front and her keyboards smashed into pieces. As quickly as I had found the person I was looking for, everything was gone in an instant. From then on, I heard nothing but silence. At least she wouldn't be sad anymore.

Happy Birthday, dork
**[WP] On your best friends b-day, they’ll die. You witness your friends death, but you wake up the next morning one day before their b-day. knowing what will happen tomorrow, you try to prevent the death. But you keep failing, witnessing your best friend's death and going back, again, and again.**
March 10, 2018 – 00:00
“Hey sleepy head!” Johan enthusiastically shouted as he was pushing the figure that was still sprawled over the bed “It’s your birthday, you dork! Did you really think I wouldn’t let this day pass without bugging you?”
Instead of waking up, he was answered by a low groan and a flying pillow which he so easily dodged
“You have to do better than that, man” A rather boisterous chuckle escaped him as he picked up the pillow and took it back to the bed where Gale continued to burrow himself within the blankets and pillows, he had collected in his bed. “Come on, at least be happy your oh so precious best friend remembered the day you were born.
As Gale finally gave up to check the time on his phone, there he released another groan, this time louder and carried more annoyance than he normally would have
“Christ, Jo- You wake me up at midnight just for this?!?” With a few toss and turns and unexpected Johan coming to sit on the foot of his bed, he finally sat up to look at Johan with a death glare
“Hey, I can’t tell if you’re glaring or if you’re still sleepy but you gotta do better than that, man”
“Oh screw you, Who even let you in here to begin with” Gale released a long yawn then stretched out his limbs, but not before hitting Johan with a pillow “no best friend would wake their best friend up from eternal slumber” His tone was still annoyed but not like he had any other way to escape this “So what’s the plan?”
“I knew you would get straight to the point. To start it off, we’re going to have breakfast” Johan reached from behind the bed and came back up with bag of Mcdonald’s in hand, their favorite. “But before we begin the feast!”
The next thing Gale knew, his door was being pushed open and the glow of candles came into view
“Happy birthday, Gale” His mom was still in her night gown and still had the face of someone who wanted nothing more than sleep but it seemed like she just got pulled in by the storm that they call Johan
“Let me guess, he dragged you into this” His mom only gave a knowing smile before giving him a kiss on the cheek and waving off on a good night. “You really outdid yourself this time”
“Well not after pulling off that huge party on my birthday, I thought I should do the same for you”
“Wai- what?!?” Gale’s eyes grew wide with surprise. He wasn’t one of those wild party goers like Johan was but he still attended. As they discussed the party over fries and burgers, both got extremely pumped over the idea of being hoping to get lucky, one thing that they didn’t get to experience in Johan’s celebration.
“So we all set?”
It was around 7 when they had finally managed to get the venue ready for the party. They had done the party on the rooftop of the apartment complex just a few blocks away from the neighborhood they lived in and by 8pm, people finally came in one by one.
Pleasantries, greetings, a few pranks and even gifts came flooding in as did the people. By 10pm, the rooftop was completely filled and everyone already had a drink or two, maybe more in their system but such was the goal to begin with. No one was allowed to go home until they weren’t wasted was the rule and it seemed that everyone agreed
“Gale! Gale! Come here, dork, I want to introduce you to someone” Johan was calling him over from the stairwell that lead to the rooftop. Gale was already a few drinks way too far yet he managed himself to a stand to greet this person Johan was telling him about.
“Hey, who’s that?!” He half shouted as he stumbled to where the group stood but nobody expected that Gale would get knocked over by someone more drunk than he probably was. In a split second, everyone was trying to reach for Gale who was so desperately clinging on to the ledge of the building
“H-Help me--!!”
As Johan was trying to pull him up, Gale’s hand slipped and without much he could do, he watched and cried as his best friend plummeted to his death then everything went black. When Johan had Came to, it was because of the sound of an alarm. As he was about to turn off the alarm, he noticed something strange. The alarm was set at 11p.m. the exact same time he had set his alarm before Gale’s birthday.
“This Can’t be real” He Quickly stood and got dressed. He rushed to Gale’s house and there he found the man still laying on bed like he saw before the incident. “What in the world is happening-“ He was confused as hell but when he checked the calendar again, March 9, 2018 – 11: 54 – 6 minutes til he woke up Gale like yesterday. No, this can’t be happening. He kept thinking over and over again as he approached the man that rested peacefully on the bed. He did nothing but just watched his best friend and contemplate whether Gale falling from the ledge was just a dream or did it really happen. He didn’t even notice when the sun had risen. He only came to his senses when Gale scared him with a slight yelp
“Jesus- you scared me! How long have you been sitting there??? I thought I had some stalker or something” Gale seemed normal
“Hey, What happened after you fell? You’re still alive”
“What, I know you wanted me dead but come on, man- think of a better way to kill me if you’re gonna do it. It’s my birthday, after all” Gale flashed him a smile, as if he were in a really good mood
“Happy birthday, dork” Johan mumbled weakly as he got up from his seat
“So Jo, what’s the plan for today?”
“I believe I told you yesterday” Gale just stared at him then gazed up the way he always did when he was thinking “Was it something about fries because that’s all I can remember.”
“No, we were gonna set up a party at the huge ass apartment complex near mcdo- since ya’know, I already paid for it and all” Gale’s eyes widened with surprise and he was beaming at the thought. Johan could tell, that rooftop was their favorite place to have drinks or to think from
Whoah- Are you kidding me right now?!?!” Gale was gripping him on the shoulders now, Shaking him as a show of his excitement
“Yeah.. but let’s skip the par-“ He was soon cut off when Gale shoved a jacket into his hands
“Hold this for me and wait, Imma get ready then let’s go to McDo to plan this better.
By evening, the party was booming yet Johan just stood and observed. Everything and everyone wore the same thing they did. Last night wasn’t a dream of his. He was now sure of it. But where was Gale.
He was about to begin his search when he heard the sound of glass shattering followed by screams and cries. At the center of it all, there was Gale, lying unconscious in his own pool of blood, as he came to approach his best friend, he felt the world spin and everything went black.
It was the same thing when Johan came to, 11p.m. on March 9, 2018. And each passing day he would watch Gale get killed again and again and again. It was as if the world was punishing him yet he was sure he never did anything to anger any god. If anything, it made him pray more. He couldn’t count how many times he had prayed and begged to the heavens to put everything to a stop. He was already at the point of breaking and he couldn’t bare to lose his best friend anymore.
On his count, the cycle was at its 100th repeat. He watched Gale die a hundred times but that would soon end.
March 9, 2018 – 11p.m.
As he did the first day, He bought Mcdonald’s. Their favorite. Then headed to Gale’s house for the final time. Johan woke him up at exactly 12 midnight and showed him the bag of food “Happy birthday, dork” He smiled weakly, tiredly; and placed the items on the bed one by one as Gale sat up, still rubbing the sleep from his eyes
“Thanks, man. You really planned ahead” Johan could only nod and offer the food
They ate in silence but within a matter of minutes, Gale was coughing “Jo- the food…” His body started twitching uncontrollably and foam was starting to form in his mouth. But this time, Johan wasn’t watching. This time he was beside his best friend, suffering the same fate of death as he did. They will never part. Not anymore

The castle up on Mt. Faircrest had always been one that was surrounded by mystery. Even upon asking every townsfolk that lived at the bottom of the mountain l, they would always say the same thing. Beware of the bloody lady.
I was pretty sure that they were all rumors ar wives tales or something because on my first days in town, I never even saw a bloody lady. But I did see something different. A lady, always sitting under the shade of the old willow tree that stood tall beside a lake. One that housed the castle on the other side of it. I couldn't imagine that she would always paddle her way across. She seemed far too frail whenever I saw her reading under the tree and she would even offer me one of her warmest smiles as she invited me to read beside her. It was nice.
At times I had wanted to ask her if she knew about the bloody lady but it seemed a rather inappropriate thing to be asking such trivial things. Especially with a lady of her standing so I opted for another time.
I didn't think that another time would mean when she had invited me into the castle for supper.
At 3 in the afternoon we rode the boat across the small lake although she told me that she would usually just go around it since she enjoyed the walk through the forest.
We arrived at the gates a few minutes later and we soon made our way into the castle. It was magnificent! The exterior certainly was nothing compared to its interior. It was of antiques, elegant furniture and a very well maintained structure. Everything about it screamed perfection.
She had first taken me around for a tour, starting with the gardens. I believe it took us an hour to finish our walk then next was inside the castle, starting with the upper floor
"Hey, I think we should be getting dinner ready. It's getting pretty late" I gazed out the window. The sun was starting to set.
"Oh, I didn't notice- Just let me get changed" And with that, she had lead us to the door of her room "no peeking"
She soon went into the room yet after some time, no sign of her came out. I only stood outside and kept waiting. When I decided that it had taken quite a long while already, I knocked. No response. With that, I went inside to have a look.
There she was, on the bed in the most seductive costume I'd ever seen. The red of her corset seemed to make her skin grow paler in contrast. The figure of her body that was enhanced with the tight fot of the fabric made me gulp. And the stockings that I never noticed under her dresses but when I looked at it, it made her legs look so soft like luscious cream any man would happily devour
"Oh, you made it in time for dinner"
I stood dumbfounded. Dinner? There was no food.
In a split second she was already behind me. Now I understood what the villagers said when they told me to be weary of the bloody lady. It wasn't because she was covered in blood but each amd every piece of clothing laid out in her closet was dyed a bloody red.
My thoughts were soon put to a halt when soft fingers wrapped around my neck and forced my head up to expose my neck. Her body pressed against me. Cold. She was nothing but cold yet having felt a female body press against me was still awakening things that shouldn't even be reacting at this time.
I shrugged the thought away but as soon as plump lips started nipping on the sensitive skin of my neck, all reason was gone
"It's a shame that you'll have to be dinner for tonight. I liked having you around"
I felt teeth plunge into my flesh and it wasn't long after that my vision faded to black
Not much of a story but lol. I just wanted to draw today, not write but it seems like my vampire lady is so put of proportion.

Hunt until you're hunted
**[WP] "Hunt monsters long enough, young man, and you start to become something like them." The old hunter said. You thought he was being figurative, until the day you started growing spines.**
Finally! it was graduation day at the academy. After years of training and lectures, the students of the 397th batch under the demon hunting corps will receive their badges and soon, will be assigned to their respective units where they will finally be allowed to put their training to use.
Sgt. George Wright, The top student of the batch. the one who managed to snag all the honors of said batch and was rumored to be well on his way to the front lines under the recommendation of the Academy head. There was however, one problem the people of his batch were weary of and that was his incredibly short temper. Brilliant as he may be with his wits and his quick decision making, the man was not someone anybody would make an enemy of if they wanted to remain uninjured until they left the academy.
The commencement ceremony ended and each soldier was introduced to their respective units and commanding officers. The merriments were to wait til all was settled.
George walked up to his new unit, the look they all had were ones of pure madness. He was certain that they would definitely be amusing company. His grin seemed to grow wider, the more he imagines of whatever happened on the frontlines but he restrained himself. The Unit leader came into view and he stood firm for a salute. One which was returned immediately by the elder
"Son, Are you sure you want to be taking this track?" The man's tone was serious, as if it was a life and death matter. It probably was but George wasn't one to shy away from danger.
"Sir, yes Sir! I plan to do everything I can only the front lines, even at the cost of my own life"
A soft sigh escaped him and he couldn't understand if something was wrong with the kid or if George was just plain stupid. "We're hunting monsters here, kid. Demons. Hunt them long enough and you become something like them"
At those times, George just kept thinking that it was a sort of warning about the loss of sanity, the kind the people in his company seemed to already have developed but he shrugged it off and followed the company as they retreated back to their respective base. They had no time for merriments of any sorts for the next day, he was to go with them for his first mission.
**0600, November 2X, 18XX**
At 0600, the company was already assembled and as soon as they assembled, they began their ascent up the mountains to deliver supplies the base had requested. More like they were bodyguards for the supply vehicles yet it didn't matter, the road up their base was a perilous one. The kind that never seemed to run out of demons no matter what the hunting corps did. Halfway up the ascent, the forest grew darker. It seemed more ominous to anyone yet they proceeded anyways. The next thing they knew, a black figure had came down from above with a loud thud. The impact strong enough to make such a large impact that the ground shook with its landing. The creature emitted such a powerful screech and as George stood, shocked with his first encounter with the monsters he's only heard about, his platoon was already on the move with their swords and rifles. Now he understood what it meant to be a member of their platoon. It was for the bravest of the bravest or possibly the stupid ones. he was neither and was ready to fight.
With a deep breath, he took up his sword and charged at the beast, successfully landing a few deep slashes on its torso and legs. The kind deep enough to immobilize it. of course the finishing blow was made their unit leader.
"From here on out son, there will be more where that came from. Best get yourself ready and keep your sword ready at all times"
And it was true. The entire trip, George barely got a chance to breath as one monster came after the other. There was one thing he noticed from the creatures, however. They all had bands around some parts of their bodies. At first he had shrugged it off with the though that it might be the soldiers it had consumed but years later, His thinking had changed.
It had since been 5 years since he had joined his platoon, they lost some and they gained some new members. Yet the few that had managed to stay by his side had much more crazed looks and he was now one of them. one look at him now and one would be sure that they were well on their way to a mental institution or so the newbies said. He just shrugged it off.
As he was retiring to his room, he felt his back start to sting and his clothes slowly ripping. He rushed to his quarters and immediately shut the door. He turned to the mirror, frantically ripping his clothes off.
Spikes! Spikes were growing and so did scales. His hands.. What was happening to him was one he could never understand. He let out a blood curdling scream and the next thing he knew, a scaly hand had covered his mouth and it spoke in a voice that he grew accustomed to hearing for the past 5 years
"C-captain?"
"I told you, didn't I? Kill enough of them and you become one" He gazed back at the reflection in the mirror and slowly, he saw how his features had been replaced with that of the creatures they had been killing for years. Now he understood why the forests never run out of creatures.
Go with me?
**[SP] Write a story about a gay prince**
**Truera, 18XX**
For generations, the kingdom of Truera had always been blessed with female heirs that succeeded the throne. Never was it in their bloodline of the royal family to produce a male heir. That was until Eric came to this world. At first, the royal family was outraged. They even came so far as to blame his mother for having birthed a male.
For the first 10 years of young Eric's life, the fact that he was male remained hidden in the guise of dresses and having to refer to him as Erica outside castle premises. Each day would not pass where he would question his existence. And the acts of being female continued til the day he turned 12. During this age, he was often questioned why no bossom still grew from his chest and the fact that he had remained small unlike his cousins of the same age, they who were already maturing into fine ladies. The act could not be kept any longer. Eventually the royal family went on a hiring. The requirements: A thin frame, blonde hair, blue eyes and the girl had to be between the ages of 12-13.
Immediately after the announcements were made in the guise of looking for a new servant, children had came lining up, some with the presence of their parents while some went on their own accord. It wasn't even a question of why they shouldn't apply when serving the royal family meant prestige and a hefty reward for their services. Days, it took. To go through all the candidates; and as the final selection grew smaller in size, the lessons they received grew closer to those Eric received since his childhood. In the end of the selection, a girl named Sia was announced as the chosen girl.
She was formally introduced to the royal family and of course to Eric but not as the princess of Truera but as the unfortunate prince. In his place, she would take up lectures and meet the people Eric had long been acquainted with. Sia would be Erica, the princess. Of course for a while she stayed under Eric's observation even when she had her own room.
One time, when she was saddened by homesickness, she was allowed a visit from her family, although secretly. Among her visitors were her brother and almost immediately, the man didn't fail to capture Eric's attention. It was no surprise when Sia was a fine woman herself then definitely her family would be have the same appeal as she did but what struck him the most was that he could not take his gaze away from Sia's brother whom he soon learned was named Charles. Age: 14. 2 years older than Sia and a year older than Eric.
"Charles.. Charles..." Even after the departure of Sia's family, He kept on repeating the name, enjoying how much the name rolled off his tongue.
"It seems like you've found a liking to my brother" Sia teased on that same night as they were both settling in for bed. A deep red dusted Eric's cheeks yet he was so persistent on his denial.
"I-I'm not! I was just surprised that he looked so much like you!" He said with a loud huff as he pulled the covers higher to cover his reddened cheeks.
"Don't worry, I think he likes you too" Sia muttered, sleepiness already evident in her tone yet Eric could still feel that teasing grin plastered on her face even as they both drifted off to sleep.
Sia's family visited more often and it wasn't long until the three would start disappearing somewhere for small adventures around the castle. If they ever got questioned, they would just say, Eric and Charles were suitors from another kingdom and that they both needed to get to know the princess more. Of course each time they would play that card they all rolled laughing at the lengths that their acts would go. From having to recite poetry to Sia to even having to offer her flowers, they were all just to keep the act up yet at times, Sia would leave the two to themselves when she gets summoned for lessons or for meetings and all the royal duties eventually got off his plate.
In those times, Eric would try to speak with Charles as much as he could, And at times they would even go adventuring on their own. And often times when Charles lead the way, they would often get lost. In those times, Eric would panic when it started getting dark. And when worse came to worst and he would just slump on the ground and cry, it was Charles who would hold embrace him or even hold his hand. Oh how Eric always wished that Charles wouldn't feel his pulse from their linked hands. He didn't want him to know how fast his heart beats whenever Charles held his hand and they managed their way out of the forests
By the time He was turning 18, Sia was 17 and Charles was turning 19. In a few days, Eric would be 18 and by then he would be free. He was no longer the frail looking boy from back when they all met, he studied and eventually became a prestigious author (of course, his parents still wanted him to have a life once the time came for him to leave). Sia would then be crowned and would be the next ruler of the country. Soon she would have to marry too. As for Charles, it was always a mystery with him. They never knew what was on his mind. There were no news of a lover of any sorts nor of any plans even after he had finished studying medicine, Charles refused to leave Eric and Sia's side. But they were proud of him. He earned prestige and eventually became the castle's attending physician. It was an honor and it allowed him to be closer with her sister and Eric whom he considered as his best friend.
Coronation day was approaching fast, and so was Eric's departure from the castle. Despite all the years, Sia and Eric continued to stay in the same room and it was only Sia who knew of his plans to depart. They thought it best if Charles knew nothing and it was the very last favor Eric could ever ask of Sia. He didn't want anyone to stop him, he wanted to write and explore more, something that he would never experience had he been born female. Although at times he was certain that he had the heart of a maiden, specially when it came to Charles but he would never mention that to him up front yet Sia always knew.
The day of the coronation came and it also marked the last day Eric had in the castle they all grew up in. For the last time, as the festivities proceeded, he wandered the empty halls, lingering around the places they would often spend their times in such as the library, the gardens, he needed to remember every scene for it would be the last.
As he approached the forest he and Charles so often got lost in, a voice came from somewhere. It was Charles, he was in the forest
"So this is where you were" He approached Eric and offered a smile, the same cheeky grin he would always show him "I had hoped you would be as excited as Sia for coronation day"
"I'm 18 now" his gaze fell to the ground, he was guilty for having to leave the man who had always been there for him, the only one he ever loved
"I know, happy Birthday!" Charles pulled him in a tight embrace. The height difference still was evident since his head pressed against Charles' chest. Warm. He would miss this and the unique scent that he always had. "You know... I plan to go traveling..."
Eric shot his head up and the look on Charles' face already told him that the man was well informed of his plan when that smug grin stretched upon his lips "O-oh, well have a safe trip" Again, red dusted his cheek as he gazed up at this man that seemed to already tease him with the discovery of his plans
"I was thinking... would you go with me?"
"But why?"
"Because I don't want anybody else's company. I love you, Eric" Eric thought wrong when the red on his cheeks could not get deeper. He was glowing beet red and tears began welling in his eyes. To avoid questioning he buried his face against the crook of Charles' neck and answered back with an "I love you" of his own.
Soon after the coronation feast was over, the two were nowhere in sight and Sia could only gaze out the window for she knew, the two were well on their way to new adventures together.
Sweet revenge
**[WP] They took everything from you. Your family, your home, your dignity. You were dumped far away from your old home, in the woods. But jokes on them. You're a warlock/witch that can talk to animals, and they just dropped you off near a colony of dragons**
I lay on the cold floor of this cursed dungeon. Many years have passed since I was first thrown here yet each time I lay my body for the rest it deserves, it can't seem to register the coldness of these stones as they press on my skin. At times the rats I talk to would bring me patches of cloth they would steal somewhere but those pieces of fabric were never enough to cover enough of the floor. At times they would pile up stolen hay but in most cases, I would just curl up on myself to at least survive off my own body heat. It was rare that the rats would gather around me to provide me additional warmth. But such was the life I lead now.
Before I was imprisoned here, I had a wonderful village life. My family was of unique lineage. We were mages, each member possessing a unique capability from the other yet we chose to stay hidden from the rest of the world. My parents had always feared being found so we were only to ever use our capabilities in the woods nearby. My entire life revolved around my mother, father and older brother. They were my everything and the magic lessons we had once all chores were done were always the best parts of my day. That was until some villager reported our family to the kingdom. It was then that I discovered why we trained in secrecy.
My family was hunted down and no matter where we went they found us until eventually, they had managed to find us and capture us. It was horrible and I still shudder at the thought, even to this very day. I watched how they had forcibly separated us and threw us in respective cages and how they transported us to the kingdom where misery befell my family. Apparently sorcery was prohibited in the kingdom and the only way they would have granted us freedom was to service the kingdom. We agreed but we didn't know that serving would be no easy task.
It started with my parents. My father, he was sent to work. To perform miracles with the magic he taught us. He was made to solve the problems of the kingdom with his magic. Too many miracles were needed. He needed to perform so much without rest at times and when war broke out, the last of whatever strength he had, he used to erect one of the most powerful barriers we had ever seen but in turn, he was drained of his life. No respect was ever given to the warlock that erected that barrier that still protected this cursed kingdom from enemy attacks. As for my mother... my lovely mother... she never heard of my father's death because she was sent away with all the other captured women to service the soldiers of the kingdom. Her screams could be heard even from the chambers where my borther and I were kept. Each time she would be allowed to visit us, she had looked weaker and weaker until one day, her visits stopped. Later on we had found out that her body was abused to the point that she just broke. I took her position while my brother took the role that was previously given to my father. It was wrong. He was too young to perform such powerful miracles. In the end I lost him too.
As for me... I was left alone to suffer. Not a day passed that my body was not used and abused. Not a day went that I would not feel degraded by these soldiers and even those in higher positions. Bruises from rough handling stained my skin and at times several cuts would adorn my body. They had broke me. For how many years did I have to face such torments.
The rattling of the metal bars of my prison cell shook me awake and I sat up to look at who would be requesting my services that night. But I stood corrected, it was not a call for service but instead, I was greeted with a blow to the head which knocked me unconscious.
The moment I came to, I could only make out the movements as if I was being transported but I didn't want to move. The blow to my head caused a burning sting and I had no more energy to even move. No more desire to question what was to become of me. I just simply lied there, awaiting my fate. Perhaps they would sell me as a sex slave after all the abuse they had put me through.
Soon movements came to a stop and I could hear the guards muttering about how the wolves will probably just eat me up since I was "worn out goods"now. Perhaps I was. The doors flew open and my body was dragged out of the carriage. They were to dump me there but of course they didn't let the chance to vent out their frustrations on me. They both removed their pants and came into me. It always hurts no matter how many times this has to occur but nothing nattered anymore. I just laid there, limp and lifeless until they had finished their business and went on their way.
I was tired. Simply tired and I simply prayed to the heavens to just end my life right then and there. Tears rolled from my cheeks and I simply stared at the darkening sky. It wasn't long until I fell unconscious.
As streaks of light flashed across my face, it felt odd that it was accompanied with warmth that I had not experienced in such a long time. When I peaked an eye open, I was left speechless when a dragon had settled itself beside me. It stirred awake when it felt my movements
"You are alive and awake" no words came to me so I just nodded though I made no effort to sit up. My body was sore form the last moments of abuse I had taken. This dragon took a few moments to observe my figure before deciding to scoop me in its arms before flying back to the colony ha had belonged to. Dozens of dragons were there but hmit decided to take me to the alpha dragon.
I was still sore but I managed myself to sit. Food was offered to me although it was in large portions but who was I to decline food after these creatures decided to save such a mage like myself. A degraded and broken mage.
"It was of your bloodline that erected that barrier" the alpha signalled towards the barrier that could only be seen by the magical ones. I nodded.
"It was my father. And I think you can still sense his magic"
"Tell me, what ever happened to the powerful mages that smelled similar to you. They had once aided us to escape the abuse of a certain kingdom many years ago"
Never had my parents ever told us of tales about dragons yet they seemed to know my parents
"They... were long gone. A kingdom had abused them to the point of death..." again, my tears came rolling down my cheeks and i couldn't help but hold myself tighter as I recalled the last moments I ever saw them. The dragons were kind, they had held me close and did the best they could at what could be called comfort. It was greatly appreciated.
"That kingdom has taken far too many kind humans from this world. They were the only humans our kind ever trusted. And now, we leave our trust to you"
After the meal, I had tried to tell them the stories of torture each of my family member and I went through until I fell asleep. This time it wasn't on the cold concrete floor but atop a warm yet scaly dragon that promised to help me plot my revenge.
Of course my body first needed to recover then there was plotting how to go about things but once everything was settled and I was healthy enough to fly on a dragon, we made our move. First was the village where that snitch of a neighbor had told the kingdom of my family. Next was the castle. Dispelling the barrier was no easy task but after practicing on my own with the same spell but on a smaller scale, I had managed to figure out how to remove the barriers. The hoarde of dragons never stopped in their rampage nor did they spare any from the wrath they had accumulated over the years. It was revenge for their fallen brethrens. For their colony and now, for my family.
After many attempts with incantations and of the dragons' firepower, the barrier shattered and we marched to the throne room. There the pig of a king cowered in fear as we destroyed each bit of the castle that housed so many sins to its citizens and to us magical ones. I wanted to land the finishing blow. With the dagger the dragons bestowed upon me, I run after the pig then plunged the blade deep into his chest. Now there will not be a kingdom anymore. No more families will suffer, nor will any other creature. Oh how sweet revenge was.
I will always love you
This has been in my reserves for a while now so i thought to finally finish it :"" hope you guys enjoy
**[WP] Long ago a man fell in love and promised to the Mountain's Goddess. "Every time you feel sad or lonely, I'll pop back up as a Dandelion to make you smile." 200 years later the mountain stands blanketed with vibrant yellow flowers.**
None dare treaded up the dark mountains. As much as it could offer a quicker route to the neighboring villages, the precarious peaks and steep paths were definitely ones that no sane traveler would ever take. Or at least, that was what the rumors say since none who attempted ever came back. Eventually, legends of creatures dwelling in the mountains soon circulated in our village and even in the forest areas that surrounded the mountain. Some even say that a force was hell bent on keeping humans as far from the mountains as possible.
Normally one would avoid those mountains when rumors were already in circulation yet for some reason, Cain seemed to want to prove that it was just all in their heads and that maybe the first few travelers just got lost or had managed to find a reason to stay in their current destinations. He always had reasons, logical ones which were near impossible to disprove with how hard headed the man was.
His hard headedness persisted quite so that once he had gathered enough supplies for a few days, he had made his journey to the dark mountains.
He had thought it was nothing but a mountain blanketed by a luscious green forest. The hike to the foot of the mountain wasn't even much a task and didn't take up that long a walk from his village. He kept thinking that if roads got built here, the traveling time going around the mountains could be reduced by half. It would entail better trades. Thoughts of quicker travels had filled his head by the time he had started up the mountains. It wasn't even as steep as the rumors say. Walking up was basically like climbing the small hill his hut was situated on. And if tunnels could be dug somewhere, he was sure as hell that they could even keep their produce fresh to fetch a better price than the results of their trades now.
Perhaps halfway up the mountain, he had decided to come to a stop, the sun was setting and of course he needed to set up camp for the time being. Rest was well deserved and so far, no creatures or beasts nor steep slopes halted hos traveling. And he definitely wasn't lost so it made him conclude that the rumors were definitely false.
Later on in the night, he soon figured out why it was called the dark mountains. The thickness of the trees that covered it were enough to block out all passing moonlight that could have kept him company. Everything was pitch black. Not even a fire could illuminate enough. But what spooked him the most was a pale glowing figure that kept peeking out from the trees. Perhaps it was a ghost. He could never be so sure but at least he was sure on one thing, this apparition wanted him to leave.
All throughout the night, repeatedly the glowing figure would appear and tell him to go away and he would do uis best to ignore and hope for a good night's sleep. As morning came and the sun's rays made it pass the thick leaves and jnto the forest, he felt relieved. Despite not getting enough sleep, he packed up and went on his way to the peak of the mountain.
The closer he got to the peak, the more the trees cleared and the more he coild notice that the top was nothing more than a field of grass. As he went exploring a bit more, a familiar figure came into view. It was the same figure that was driving him away just hours before.
"I knew you weren't a ghost" he had exclaimed as he approached the woman in white. The closer he got, the more he realized, she wasn't human either. The silver glow of her hair that could put the moon too shame, the silky fair porcelain skin, the plump red lips that could be conpared to rose petals. Her beauty was not of a human's.
"I had told you to leave! You do not belong here! Go back to that human dwelling which uou had come from." Her voice was stern, icy and I would have followed right away had I not been mesmerized by the beauty that stood before me
"I apologize but I simply cannot do that" Cain had lowered his head apologetically "perhaps I can offer something in exchange for letting me be on my way?"
The woman seemed intrigued. Perhaps it was new to her but she had contemplated on the offer for quite some time. He wondered how long a pause she made but after a while she had spoken again.
"Give me a treasure of yours" Shocked by the request of hers, he immediately checked his pockets, then bags for things he considered a treasure. Each item he pulled out from his bag seemed to fascinate her in more ways than one. And by the time he had emptied out his bag, it was already dusk and he needed to set camp again. She had too many questions with each item he had and it seemed as if each item was basically a treasure to her.
In exchange for the question she had somehow managed to keep giving him, Cain was permitted to set camp that night in the meadows she had always slept in. That night, she was taught how to set up a fire from twigs and she was given a taste of the cured meat he offered her. After what she had decided as "one of the best offerings she had ever received" she guided him to a certain spot by the edge of the cliff. There he stood in awe with the sight before him. The overgrown forest seemed so peaceful and the stars seemed to shine brighter than when he was in the village. The image burned into his head and he hoped he would get to see this again.
The rays of the sun had roused them from their slumber and he had just realized that they had managed to fall asleep close to the cliff. Even the morning view was something to be in awe with but what struck him the most was the being that was settled next to him. He had wanted to wake her but eventually went against it. I stead, he simply whispered in her ear that he would return to visit her again soon to give her more offerings. After doing so, he packed up silently and went on his descent from the mountains.
The trip down the mountain was much quicker than he had initially expected and before dawn he had managed to arrive safely to the neighboring village where he offered his village specialties for trade and for sale. All which fetched him a hefty price because of the rarity of the items to be in such good condition.
The next day, with new stocks, he began his travels back up the mountains and by dawn he was back at the peak where the white being was
"I've been waiting for your return" a smile graced her plump lips as she approached him
"Today I want to show you this dandelions I found on the hike back" I uncovered the dandelions then handed her one of them. Her gaze was fixated on the flower so it assured him that she had never seen one before. "Now you should know that when you blow on it and you blow off all its petals, you can have a wish" she was confused at first but when he blew out all the seeds from the dandelion he held, she soon followed suit, probably excited by the thought of being granted a wish. The anticipating grin was enough to tell. From then on, she had asked that each time he would travel, he would bring him an offering and a dandelion. She never did tell him the wishes he made but with wach of his returns, she would be there at the peak, awaiting him and the dandelions he would bring. At some point she had admitted that it had become her favorite flower and that he had become his favorite human.
Jealous merchants soon heard news of one trader who would travel by the mountains and always came back unscathed despite what people say about those dark mountains. Petty thieves were hired to follow Cain. Both by merchants and those that simply couldn't believe of his smooth travels.
The people that followed him on his next travel. They went unnoticed on the duration of his trip but once he reached the peaks, the white being made a face that he had never seen before, one of pure hatred. He was about to inquire what had caused her to give such a reaction when she had always greeted him with a smile but he fell short on his tracks when he felt a piercing pain on his back; the next thing he knew, a number of arrows had already impaled his body and he was falling to the ground.
The being on the other hand... her eyes flashed white and a loud shriek echoed across the meadow. For a few moments, everything was white and before he could even ask what she had done, he saw men pierced by the roots of what seemd like the trees of the forest and she was rushing to his side.
Tears fell from her once bright eyes and she did everything she could to hoist his body up and hold him as close as she had did in the many times he would go see her.
"Hey... don't cry" he reached up with what little energy he had left and wiped away the tears that wouldn't stop falling
"Don't leave me.." her voice was cracking. It was painful to see her like that
"I'll never leave you... I love you too much" blood came with each fit of cough he was emitting and it seemed to make her cling onto him more "I'll be back... as your favorite flower..."
"Will you grant me my wish too?" She had buried her face against his chest. She was sobbing now as she could feel him grow weaker yet she didn't have the means to heal him
"Anything"
"Come see me when I get sad or lonely. Like you always do when I wish on the dandelions you brought me"
"I promise" he offered her the dandelion he had brought her this time then she made her wish then continued to hold him til his last dying breath.
She wasn't sure when she had fallen asleep, but when she came to, Cain's body was gone but what was left behind was something that made her heart ache and swell at the same time. Before her was a field of dandelions. Ones whicb reminded her of Cain so much and would continue to do so for the next few hundred years that would come

Chapter 2 https://read.cash/@Hanzell/death-or-me-ch-2-cf7f355d
We sat in front of the gate in silence, my gaze kept shifting from her then the gate. I feared what would happen to me if I chose to join her but I feared more what would happen to her had she chosen to stay with us. I don't ever wish for her to stay with us.
As dusk came, I had ushered her to go back before it would be dark. I had also ask her not to meddle in the matter further, her life now wasn't something she should just waste as we did... She could still establish a life of her own. What caught me by surprise was the loud honking that woke everyone from slumber. It was barely dusk yet the noise could be heard loud and clear. It could very well be the first external noise this castle has heard in years and I don't think any of expected to see a vehicle that seemed to carry the her belongings. What was in those large bags that had wheels were beyond us but there she was, standing and waiting in front of the gate
"I want to help you escape, please" She had pleaded as she pressed her hand against the gate, ready to push it open once she was given the slightest hint of approval
My parents and sister were baffled by the sudden appearance of this woman, seeing as they've never really met nor did they know the trend of my regular activities. As far as they know, I merely went for walks but never did they expect an outsider to ever make contact with the castle nor me.
"If I can't help... can I at least stay here with you?" Was she being serious? There was no way anybody would ever want to stay immortal yet here she was, in all seriousness. Her gaze was pleading, and her tone came desperate "All my belongings are already here, just please"
I looked back at my family, they didn't seem to comprehend the situation but they were willing to let her in "If it was her choice" was all they had said before opening the gates for her to allow that vehicle of hers to bring in the items in her possession. It wasn't a lot, mostly unusual clothing. We guided her to one of the vacant rooms at the lower floor then allowed her to get settled in. The proceeding days where filled with nothing but me guiding her around the entire castle. I had known it by heart already but I was still wary of showing her that room. If anything, I was avoiding that room at all cost. I don't think she should meddle in that yet.
Almost a month since she had stayed in the castle and she had nearly seen all the rooms and corridors of that castle, all except that one room which we told her was nothing more than a storage room. In those times we told her, I always wondered if she accepted that reasoning.
The shrill cry of sheer terror seemed to say otherwise as we rushed to her aid. The source of the cry seemed to come none other than that cursed room, it was the only room in that corridor, after all. She had gotten really hard headed since the month we allowed her in, and now she's seen the source of this curse.
The moment I saw her by the door, I held her tight as my parents rushed to close the doors
"You never told me there was a corpse in this house" She seemed incredibly shaken and I could only apologize as a response. Once she had calmed down, she again asked me to accompany her to the room where Mrs. Knightley's corpse was. This time she seemed determined as she went through the papers and tried to identify all the carvings and markings that were left on the walls. A number of those she had already could identify without the books but the older ones, she had to refer to the books. It didn't even take that long before she confronted me about the corpse
"We need to bless her if we are to lift this curse"
"I know" As if the look of shock on her face from this morning wasn't enough, hearing me say that I had known all along seemed to be a different kind of shock. one that seemed to break her heart.
"You.. knew? You all did?" Her voice was dismayed somehow, something I had never heard from her before and without a proper response to give, I nodded then kept my gaze away from her reddening face that I couldn't tell if it was reddening from rage or from trying to keep her tears at bay
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I met you. We had already planned to do that 2 decades ago but the I met you. Since then I've done nothing but convince everyone here that it wasn't necessary" I had slumped to the floor, looking at anything but her face at that moment "When we had figured out that the curse was because of Sir Knightley's deal with the devil to bring his deceased wife back from the dead, and how it had turned out bad and how it eventually lead to the transfer of the curse to this house. It isn't just her that needs to be blessed, but this entire castle. We were all willing to perform a house blessing of sorts but then you showed me things of this age. I wanted to see more. And then the thought came to me, when this curse gets dispelled, what will happen to us? Would we just disappear to? or will we just stay like this forever? At some point, we all feared what would happen. We still do."
Tears were threatening to fall again but then the softest pair of hands cupped my cheeks and guided my head up so I could see her gaze filled with sincere concern "You'll be fine since you haven't been here that long but I don't want to disappear when I've finally found the desire to stay alive after so long"
"We'll just have to take the risk... if you disappear then I'll go look for you no matter how old I become, I promise I'll look for you and if you do stay like how you are... I'll take you to see the world. I'll teach you everything and then one day, maybe we could grow old together"
"Grow old together, huh? I think I'd like that idea a lot" Fear was still on the forefront of my mind but she was right, it was worth the risk. The first thing we needed to do, however, was bury Mrs. Knightley's body. Something we had all dreaded to do. But now we were determined.
on the agreed date, we took the body from the bed and carefully placed her in a grave we had dug out by the orchards. It was her favorite place when she was still alive and we figured it would be the most fitting place for her to lay to rest. We had managed to pray for her with the prayers that we knew. The proceeding day, our new resident had decided to go out to look for a priest, one that would be willing to bless the castle. My sister and I stood watch at the gate as she crossed the line that had served as our border from the outside world. She didn't disappear, there definitely was hope for her.
It took perhaps a few days but as she saw her figure emerging from the woods with what seemed like a priests, we were more than joyful that she had fulfilled her promise of returning along with the priest that seemed to have been tired out from the long walk through the forest.
One last chapter then I'll work on reaper ;;-;; I just wanted to finish this before I go back to the dorm
Red
**[WP] There was once a warrior, clad in a red hood. Her mystical sword at her hip, her faithful beast at her side, and they searched for adventure.**
Everybody knew the tale of how little red riding hood saved ger grandmother from the big bad wolf but nobody knew exactly what came after and why such a scene ever happened to begin with. For you to know, I should take you back to when I was still a free wolf. Yes, I was the big bad wolf and I even have stitches on my abdomen to prove it but enough of that. This is a story of a valiant hero's and my master's humble beginnings.
-----------
The woodchuck had arrived and the moment he saw me, a wolf attempting to eat a helpless child, I knew I was in for something terrible. I had never wanted to eat the old lady, she was far too old to be eaten. All chewy and tough, bah it's like chewing rubber but youngins, now that's something I'll never get tired of. I had wanted to make a run for it and abandon the idea of eating this lass but the moment I opened the door, the blade of his axe greeted me with a blow to my abdomen. I fell over and as expected, flesh and blood oozed from the large wound. Blood was dripping, I was getting dizzy. It wasn't long til I fell in the pool of my own blood and it also didn't take long til everything went black.
The moment I came to... well... I never expected to anymore. I had hoped I would be in hell by now with all the kids I've ever eaten but no, here I was, settled in a bed that looked oddly familiar. I tried to sit up but to no avail, i could only yelp in pain. Each movement hurt like hell. And as I was about to force myself up, a pair of hands had gestured me to stay still. It was the girl. The one I had planned to eat. This wasn't right... I was supposed to be dead for attempting to eat this girl.
"Why is a kid like you telling a wolf like me to stay still. I could try to eat you up, you know" i muttered weakly, sleep still heavy in my tone
"I know you won't" she said a matter of factly. She was right, I can barely stand up without whimpering. "So I would appreciate if you would let me continue healing you"
"Why do you want to heal me?"
"Because I need a familiar. Soon my grandmother will put me to training but before that, a familiar is needed. I don't think I would enjoy the ones she chose but you. You're different" she was really something was what I thought. To have wanted the enemy as an ally. I was sure at that time that she hit her head or something but to be called different... did she know? That I was not a wolf?
A soft hum was the only response I could give her at that time but now that I think about it, it might as well have been the first time I was ever chosen and not shunned. I let her heal me and care for me. I was mostly only allowed soft human food that was coated with some animal blood so as to make it bearable for me. Weeks passed until I was able to at least sit up and walk around and it took months before I was able to run again. In all that time I would continue to run away from them the moment I could but each time. There she would be, hunting me down as if I were a prey for the hunt.
It was probably the 100th time that this game of hunt commenced and once again, I was caught. She had gotten faster and better at finding my tracks no matter how well I try to hide my trail and presence
"Be my familiar" was all she would tell me as she had once again put that harness around my frame. I remained silent seeing as I couldn't shift yet because the injury would not allow it but I was certain it will soon.
I was dragged back to the room we had now come to share. She would always keep her eyes on me, even when she slept she stayed alert. She was acquiring the skills of a fine warrior indeed but to have a lone wolf such as myself as her familiar seemed so shameful. I was a convict. I almost ate her. Guilt had weighed on me since I woke up in her care and I had wanted nothing more than to escape from this child.
The moon was at its fullest that night and I was sure that my body could bear with the shifting now. She was sleeping but I know she would jostle awake the moment she senses something off. I couldn't go out, I couldn't escape. It wasn't long til a howl escaped me and my bones and joints had started realigning themselves. I was shifting, I could have my human form again-
She woke. And was rushing to my side with a blanket. She was in awe. It didn't seem like she had anticipated that the wolf that had originally tried to devour her was a male no older than she apparently was.
"I knew you were different" she had whispered in my ear softly as she had come to wrap the blanket around my exposed figure. I nodded. I was tired, close to dozing off but I still had the last bit of energy to at least do something in return for her.
"I accept being your familiar" and so with the last ounce of my energy, I leaned close and sealed the contract with a kiss as it has been done since ancient times. Her soft lips were the last thing I could remember before sleep had taken over me. When I woke, my head was settled on her lap and she was caressing my hair whilst smiling warmly at me, as if I were the most precious thing to her.
That morning, we went to meet the old hag that had to train the both of us. And for the proceeding years, we were sent from master to master so as to fulfill whatever warrior oath she had taken. And each passing master, she would assure me my worth. That I was no less a familiar than any of those so called noble beasts despite the kind of creature I was. And each year I had found myself adoring her more and more.
She had grown more radiant and beautiful as the age passed by. And 10 years after that faithful day, neither of us expected that she would be the image of a true warrior. One ever beautiful even when clad in armor. One who always had that blade by her hip and one whom I had always accompanied on whatever quest she chose to seek. There was still, of course, one more quest that we both had yet to try. And that was a life of peace and love.
So as we stood over the edge of the valley, doing our usual rounds of patrolling over the village we had temporarily decided to settle in, I had asked her a question that had been on my mind since the day I had shared all my burdens with her.
"Will you form a contract with me, red?"
"What would that be this time?"
"Will you stay with me forever?"
When I saw that same smile I had seen the day she saw me shifting, I already knew the answer and just simply mirrored her smile as we both leaned in to seal our newly formed contract with a kiss that would mark the start of many more wonderful adventures.

**[Prompt]You try to submit a form online, but every time you click “submit” something is missing and the captcha keeps getting longer and more distorted with every retry**
Trends, trends, nothing but trends seemed to have flooded Aya's news feed day by day. Nothing new despite the fact that people claimed it's the newest challenge. What was new with making a fool of oneself? absolutely nothing if you were to ask her yet people still proceeded to do so. It seems as if things like tiktok and being the next big blogger would continue to plague the internet no matter what anyone did to resist or degrade the apps and activities. as long as it kept people as far away from boredom as possible, it seemed like any would do.
So what was she doing downloading this weird app her best friend told her about? Simple. She was bored and she simply didn't believe people could just die because of an app. It was a new release called "Bored be gone" Tacky app name but hey, if it really did get rid of boredom, it would definitely be worth a try.
The moment she found the app, it was an instant download for me and as she waited for the download to finish, simply read the reviews about it
She couldn't tell which was which because the reviews varied from good to bad. the good ones seemed to be the ones who have been using the app for a while now. The activities on that app weren't really described in the reviews. The download finished, guess I'll have to see for myself.
As she was making a new account in the app, the last part really caught my attention. It asked for movie interests and a number of options flooded the page and being the blunt person she always has been, she just went straight ahead and selected everything that had to do with horror, blood and gore. Pretty horrible movie taste as her friends always told her but that was what she liked. Later on she found that she should have gone easier on herself but that was much later on.
Horror movies, series, novels and games flooded the app layout and and she was honestly more than thrilled with the things she saw but one thing was a constant, each time she would press any of the options there, she would have to answer captchas. They started off with the simple ones that needed to be typed like the numbers. Then they became random letters. After a few more series, they soon became words, random words yet they all surrounded horror. Every time she would answer those captchas however, the app would always say
Error: Captcha incorrect
Try again
At first she didn't really mind the presence of the notif although she was pretty sure she was answering tjose captchas correctly. After some days of using the app more, those words became sentences... Sentences that she read in the short stories and heard in the series. Next it became pictures. Some were scenes in the shows she watched there while some... were just plain disturbing.
At that point, a bit of fear started to plague her so she let the app rest for a bit. She stopped using it for a few days. Or so she hoped. It wasn't even an entire day when a new captcha was available. What made her shriek in fear was the fact that her picture was there among the captcha options. And that picture showed exactly what she wore in that very moment. Fear filled her head-space. How did an app get that photo of her. She was frantically trying to uninstall the app but each time she would, it would always show as error. This can't be happening was what she thought repeatedly, saying it was just an app and that it should be impossible.
She took my phone to the I.T. shop but the same error was seen, they couldn't remove the app because apparently it was a system app. She simply thanked them and exited the premises. The moment she was out a new captcha was out, there she was again, It was taken from behind. What was happening?!?! her mind was in a panic yet nothing she did seemed to work. As soon as the next captcha came, the options was nothing but her image. even after having thrown and stepped on the ground; there, captcha images of her kept popping up before the final captcha came out.
Select the man with the knife
The image of the man behind her was the last thing she saw before her head fell from her shoulders. Now she won't be bored anymore.
Just a sip?
Warning: Erotica because it's been so long and my system apparently needs to write about stuff like this when my bf gets me riled up :< orz forgive this waman for she has sinned
**[WP] You're sat alone, with a glass of wine in hand, and decide to jokingly toast the Greek God Dionysus. You did not expect him to appear before you in human form, create two bottles of wine, and take a seat next to you.**
"Ahh such a long day at work" I had whined out to no one in particular as I dropped off my bags by the couch then soon after followed, plopping down on the soft seating. Work had been so stressful that day and I honestly wanted nothing more than to enjoy my friday night in peace.
My night's agenda was already set. First I needed a fine *ss dinner so I had bought stuff to make steak with then after dinner I had planned for an extremely relaxing soak in the tub. I do believe I deserved it after sucking up to my bosses from monday to friday. Ahh that night was going to be perfect. I had everything all pictured out in my head but of course the night could not proceed without a drink. Yes, a drink. I bought myself a bottle of this wonderful looking wine that even the seller seemed proud of having since it was his best seller among young females. It made me wonder why.
I opted for the chattelaine glass I had kept in my cupboards. Good wine deserved good glassware is what I always thought. I picked up the bottle and placed it in a readied ice bucket while I went to on my steak.
The meat is on marinate, things were going well and I do think I deserve that drink about now. I uncorked the bottle, raised it enough to give it a swirl and to read the name of the drink in case I wanted more "dionysius... the god of harvest and fertility?" Wibes sure are getting weirder and weirder names but no matter. I poured myself a generous amount then raised my glass as i leaned back against the counter "to dionysius and to much more wine for you to make" a sigh of contentment escaped my lips as the rich red liquid gushed down my throat. It was simply heavenly. The drink that is. As if it was made by the Gods.
"I'm happy you enjoyed the wine I make. Qnd might I say, that sigh dounded as if you were drinking something else"
I glanced at the direction the voice came from. There on my sofa sat a man, probably in his mid 20s? Same as me maybe, who knew
"How did you get in here?!" I had inched closer to the man, wine glasd still in hand. It can be used as a weapon in any case.
"Relax dear, I simply wanted to have a drink. With someone who appreciates my wine as much as you do"
Before I could say more, I was whisked to sit beside him with just the motion of his hand. D*mn what is with him
"Ahh I never introduced myself. Dionysius is the name"
In a blink of an eye, my glass was again filled and surprisingly in that short span of time, he had managed his own bottle and glass. Thos is not happening. I'm drinking with a greek god... and I don't think escape is an option for me right now...
"I must say, you're beautiful for a mere mortal. Are all mortals like this? I can see now why zeus chose humans over his wife" a soft chuckle escaped him and with each passing moment, I could feel myself getting drawn to him more and more. No. I already had a lovely evening planned. I can't let some greek God ruin it
"If you'll excuse me, I have dinner to prepare. If uou could kindly leave" I had said rather sternly to which he only smirked to
"Why in such a rush? It's been so long since I've last drank with humans. Would you care to give me this pleasure?"
He leaned closer, his warm breath fanning against my ear and it may have been the bit of wine earlier but goodness was leaving getting harder and harder by the moment. This man can't stop me. I gulped down the contents of my glass in one swig then placed my glass down before getting up. Big mistake. It didn't even take 5 minutes before the alcohol had started running through my bloodstream. And him standing behind me was of no help either. He was seducing me. He was doing everything he could from the light touches on my sides to the way he would sometimes lean in too close while i seared my stake. Even his deep baritone voice was getting to me
"Why don't you drink more with me... wine is great with steak" he was persistent. And was getting dangerously close. Soon enough i found myself entrapped between him and the kitchen counter. From my spot I could get a full view of his face. His well chiseled features... the rich hazel of his eyes and the thin yet full curvature of his lips. They looked too luscious. This was getting bad for me but he apparently had other plans. A hand soon cupped my chin and raised it enough. The next thing I knew, the lips I had been staring at so intently met mine in such a fervent liplocking. The taste of wine lingered on his lips and tongue. And i thought the wine was intoxicating. I stood to be corrected. This was much worse.
Time passed and I even found myself soon leaning against his frame to which he responded to with his arms encircling my waist to pull me closer if it were possible. F*ck this is not how relaxing should be but all my cares seem to have flown out the window the moment he hoisted me up to carry me to bed. He placed me down carefully and for a brief moment he had pulled back to gaze at me. His eyes seemed to scan me head to toe and that smug look on his face made him look proud of how he had reduced me to a breathless mess. I was about to say something when his lips fell on mine once more. But this time his hands had started roaming, tracing my clothed figure and I soon followed.
The shirt was basically useless when it did nothing to hide the dips and contours of his protruding muscles. And I wanted nothing more than to rip the fabric off. He seemed to read my mind though when he again pulled back just to peel off his and with much effort, my clothing as well. One look into his eyes and I could tell all lust had taken over but who was I to deny that it had done the same to me. I wanted more. For a brief moment I was thinking how to pull him back. I grinned and wrapped my legs around his torso to pull him back in. My turn. I had started rubbing myself against him, to which I was rewarded with the pleasure of hearing his low groan. The action continued until the man simply lost to lust and decided to plunge his length into me.
I could say that the turn of event for that night was well spent. When morning came, the sheets of my bed were a tangled mess and as soon as he had woke, he bid me adieu with a promise of coming back in the case I ever needed someone to drink with again

Chapter 1 https://read.cash/@Hanzell/death-or-me-ch-1-0b7ea203
The moment his carriage left was the last we saw of the great Damian Knightly.
The lands the castle had to offer were indeed vast and it took me and my sister weeks to finish exploring everything. orchards that bore such unique fruits, Flowers of such exotic backgrounds, even some herbs that were long thought to be a rare find now could only be found here. Who knew what other secrets were kept in this castle. even the mills were all in such good condition yet it was so suspicious that no human dared approach this castle. it must have been a whole year of living in said castle now since my family and I last saw other people besides the hooligans that brought us here. None of us even dared leave the premises too but at times my sister and I would still gaze beyond the gates, hoping to see humans of any sorts but none came.
Perhaps it was curiosity but one day, my sister and I decided it be fun to go out to town for a bit, Sir Knightly left a map, after all. We simply had to follow the map but as soon as the map I held in my hands that time became exposed to the air beyond the gates, it crumbled and turned to ash. Fear struck us and we simply retreated back inside. No, that paper couldn't have just crumbled like that, it was in perfect condition... We took a few fruits then again, we threw it out of the gate. The fruits didn't even hit the ground. The moment it passed the gate, it dried up and reduced itself to nothing more than ash. We could never escape. Never.
Decades, maybe centuries passed since that last attempt and at times, my sister and I still tried throwing materials beyond the gate but the same thing would happen. We also noticed, maybe after 30 or 40 years of staying in there, that our bodies never seemed to age, wounds seem to heal instantly as if they were never there and food never spoils, as if time was paused just within the gates of that castle. It was fun not to age at first, specially with the collection of books that filled the library and the number of games that Sir Knightly collected yet it wasn't the same as it was outside. Nothing rotted so we could not even ferment our own wine and liquor nor make preserves because the fruits stayed in their fresh states unless cooked. It was maddening yet we survived.
Crazed with the yearning for the outside, we soon began our search for answers about this house. No book in the library ever provided answers. No book about witchcraft yet there was one thing that caught our attention and that was that we never touched sir knightly's room. Perhaps there we'd find the answer we would need.
One.. two... three! We tore the doors down. No lock fitted the doors and no amount of pick locking worked, brute force was the only way. In his room... it wasn't something we would expect from a man of his stature... specially when he didn't seem to be as disturbed as what his room had showed us. There lies signs, symbols of all sorts. Body parts all preserved in jars filled with who knows what. But what struck us the most was the rotting corpse that seemed to have been affixed to his bed. Could she have been his wife... we looked through the number of journals he possessed. The stacks of unorganized papers that spread across the desks and floor. His last research seemed to have been linked to devil worship and she... was the one that gave this house the curse... it was the day all hope seemed lost for our escape here.
Present day, 2020
I was on my usual walk along the gates of the castle. Thoughts of escape still remained very alive yet the strangest turn of events had snappedme out of my train of thoughts. A figure fell from the wall. A figure but I would call her a young girl, maybe a bit bigger than my sister had my sister aged. Maybe this girl was at least 13 or 14? I couldn't tell after how long since I last saw a person, she was just developing and I saw that she was quite the curious one to have wanted to climb the wall yet nothing happened to her. I quickly ushered her out yet I could see that her eyes wandered as I walked her to the gate and warned her never to try climbing it again. The following days she did stick to our agreement but she persistently waited outside the gate instead. She wanted someone to talk to and I wanted nothing more than to know what the outside looked like now. Sometimes she would bring these things called photographs or other materials to show me. Days went by like that, it was either I show her something or she does. Years later, she had showed me this thing called a cellphone which was this magical box that did wondrous things. I had no idea why she showed me these things and why I was saddened on days she could not visit me. On days she didn't I simply sat beside the gate and waited but on days she did, I simply listened. She'd long asked why I never went out yet i never did give her an answer. But I knew I had to tell her why one day. The last time she visited, she said she was 19.
She had turned 20 by her next visit to me. Clothes she wore seemed to grow more exposing yet her beauty seemed to grow more radiant with each visit. She had told me that she won't be visiting me anymore. I stood there silent then she asked one more time why I refused to leave the gates. I didn't tell her anything but instead, I picked a flower near where I stood. I offered it to her from one of the openings on the gate yet she didn't seem to understand why it turned to ash in her hold.
I was at a lack of words, I had no idea how I would tell her my predicament without scaring away the only woman I ever secretly loved. Or so I believe I loved her. I simply knelt and balled my fists in the grass as I tried to suppress the sob that threatened to escape my lips. If I could have chosen to, I would have left this castle years ago when my very existence wasn't that old yet. Soon I felt a warm hand on my back. I looked up and it was hers. She climbed the gate again.
"I'm sorry for breaking my promise to you" She said almost in a whisper as her arms wrapped around my frame. The tears I was suppressing soon poured. I shook my head then nuzzled my head into the crevice of her neck. Her scent was so intoxicating yet so unique. of all the years we had spent talking, this was the only time I could feel her. I apologized and explained to her the predicament, or should I say, curse that plagued people who would stay in this castle. Her gaze were filled with sadness each time I took glances.

Present day, 2020
This figure appeared by the gates again. It would be nice to touch her for once, I can't even remember how many decades, maybe centuries since I've been trapped in here. I yearn to see what the outside world is now but I don't think I could bare disappearing now.. not when I'm this old already and not when I've recently started making short exchanges with her. I do enjoy her stories and at times I even let myself slip with the world I knew of. I could well be over a hundred, maybe two hundred years old now, me and my family that is... We should have left this accursed place as soon as we found the chance a hundred years ago. That was probably one of our biggest mistakes. One that would definitely linger in my memory for as long as we remain alive.
***
1881
It was a Friday night, last day of classes and I made sure to ring my parents through the public telly to tell them that I'd be coming home late since a boy's night out was a much needed event after all the papers the university had assigned to us. Or so we all thought it would be. I wasn't even sure with the time nor how many pints we'd finished. The table was still in high spirits yet something felt odd. Like something or someone was watching me from the corner of this pub. Or maybe I was just beyond tipsy and paranoid. Didn't matter. Tonight should be a blast for tomorrow would be the start of the winter holidays and it would be a while before I would get to see these goons I call friends. Anyways, I was about to go to the bar counter again when I felt a sharp sting on the back of my head then all that followed was pitch black and a loud thud.
Had it not been for the swaying motion that made me feel like I was moving, I probably would have stayed unconscious until my arrival to god knows where they planned to take me. I wanted to sit up and rub where that lingering pain came from but to my surprise I found my hands bound, so were my feet. I had tried wriggling around, hoping to get a feel of what container I was even in. It was still dark, pitch black but I was certain I was moving. I could hear the tip tap of horse hooves on concrete. I groaned, making whatever noises I could despite my muffled mouth but I seem to be in a tightly sealed box or they were simply ignoring me.
My guesses were both wrong when a small slit of light came into view, there I saw a pair of eyes that were peering into my so-called cage "Hey you. You're finally awake." Again, I resumed my struggle and he only laughed. Were my attempts this futile?
The remainder of the trip was spent in silence, of course besides the fact that i still struggled to get out of my constraints but none seemed to work and i only gained a few scratches from all that friction on my skin. It stung but not as much as not knowing where or what I was up against. As soon as the movements stopped, two doors flung open and I could faintly make out the figures reaching for me. It was still night after all. They didn't seem to care about their hostage with how roughly they had grabbed me but what surprised me was that there were other carriages. I saw my parents, my younger sister and our dog, a few of our belongings in another carriage then gates. Huge ivy adorned gates and walls that seemed to have been there since the 16th century. The gates were still so magnificently well kept and surprisingly, so was the inside of it.
The gates opened and what I could only call as a castle stood tall and proud, it was opened too, as if welcoming us inside. We walked (more like got pushed inside by these hooligans) and there stood a man. Someone I could only say is one of the family's most respected ancestor. He who had started the wealth of the Knightly family. He who should have been dead since the end of the 17th century yet there he was, welcoming us in all youth and good health. This is too unreal.
*"Welcome my descendants"* His smile was that of pure ecstasy. It seemed like he was beyond pleased to have come face to face with his descendants. That or this man was just crazy but he looked like the spitting image of the man in the painting at home. The family home that is. What was he doing here?
*"I know you have questions but I called for you here to offer a deal. I want your family to care for this house as I have for so many... years. But be warned, You can never escape this house... not until you find your next successors that carry the Knightly blood"*
That years part, he was kidding about that, right?
"*Sadly this house hates being lonely"* I noticed how he seemed to be caressing the closest pillars and how he did so with much affection, as if caressing the woman of his dreams. "*And also hates strangers... You people will simply live here. That's all we ask. The lands are as wide as the walls that surround this place. Make use of it. Do what you want. For now you may go out but for the next few years do take care when you do so. I do think I've extended my stay here in this house... It's time for me to travel. I was never allowed to as a child but now I do think i can"*
We were all silent. He doesn't look like he would cater to our questions about this house, much more about what exactly he meant with his words. After his little monologue we were asked to unpack our items while he packed his. By dawn the next day, his carriage was ready and he was bidding the family adieu.

And because i couldn't bare my misery in that dorm, i snuck out to go home for a bit 😂😂😂 I'll go back there tomorrow night
Tired
Never had I imagined life to be this empty once work starts. After having moved for the 3rd time in the past 2 weeks, I honestly lost so much of my motivation to push through with whatever plans I've made. I no longer have something to call a home for work had forced me to move to the company dorms then to the a boarding house just 5 minutes away from the office/laboratory. My shift... oh my tiresome shift. That starts from 7am until 5pm every MWF. I should be used to it, spending so much time in a laboratory while continuously running around, but it hits different when nothing you do seems to bore a dent into the amount of samples I need to analyze.
Normally I would endure this gracefully but the restrictions on my travels is also putting a strain on me. Our phones are given gps devices to ensure we don't go far. A lock in contract? Locked in indeed. No escape, no visitors nor visiting other places. I worry about my beloved. I worry for my family whom I can't see without filing for a travel pass from the company so they could druve me to and from my home.
I understand they're trying to limit the infections in the laboratory but their protocols seem too outrageous to be followed for the next 3 years. I'm just sad, and tired. And I just want to go see my boyfriend despite the fact that he doesn't want to see anyone right now. I need the comfort only he can give but it seems like soon, I won't get to experience that anymore. I'm just extremely tired

Chapter 7
[Prompt] His voice seemed hollow as was his voice “Trust me” he said “You don’t know where I’ve been.”
With the absence of that Maiko girl and that four-pupiled guy, the store got emptier. Maybe the owner should consider lessening the store hours soon and maybe I should start looking for a new job once I’ve tracked down all the major psychos in this area. Carl will probably miss me but oh well, I don’t intend to stay long anywhere, after all. After that shift ended at 7a.m. I went to the safer part of town, I needed to do some investigating again since my visions are totally worthless on this one, probably because I haven’t really crossed faith with her or any of her potential victims.
I stumbled upon the park I had tried my hands on with street performing. I could still remember having seen that restaurant and that other guy I killed just recently, and a few other people that stood out from the crowd. I remember this pretty girl too, she was really popular with her posse that seemed to follow her everywhere. Didn’t seem like she would be crazy but I always questioned how she ended up jogging her way to the convenience store on some days. I don’t believe it’s to flirt with Carl because that girl might as well get any guy she chooses. Anyways,
I bumped into her again while I was lost in thought. It was curious though because my visions lead me to a haunted hotel. What’s with that place? Was she going to be the next hostage? On my next day off, I’ll need to follow this girl around.
It was a monday morning and I was already out and about with having to look for this girl, she didn’t take the route that passed through the store today. Perhaps at the park. But I remembered that she was just a student. I wasn’t sure which school she was in but I did my fair share of checking out all the schools around the area. By noon I had finally found the school. So many missing persons posters adorned the school gates, It seemed as though people from this school were hot targets. I shouldn’t be surprised if she was next.
I had to wait around for a few more hours. Can’t say I missed my old task force days because I really had no patience for the investigation and stalking part but what else was there to do. The bell finally rang and students filed out the gates and I could see her with the same posse she had. This was gonna be a really long and tiring day.
Store after store, they went and gone. Don’t teenage girls ever get tired of going through that many stores? Next they went to those KTV bars. They still had that much energy to sing? Must be nice to be young, I probably would have kept up with them at my age but being 25? The tiredness was really starting to get to me. It was around 9p.m. when these ladies retired from their singing activities and each went their separate ways.
Girl in target then proceeded to walk until she reached a rather abandoned part of town, a few more meters ahead and there I saw the same abandoned building yet she wasn’t a hostage. She was the culprit. I followed her as she made her way deeper into the premises. Was I going to wait for tomorrow to release them one by one or do I kill this crazy b*tch right here and now. I followed her to what seemed like a control room and there
I saw several monitors all lit. Each image seemed more chilling than the other and I honestly could not tell if there was any point in saving these broken souls already, one way or the other, they were dead. either physically or mentally. I should have seen this coming first. I could have saved them. now it’s too late… these people have all died. I resigned myself with a sigh and exited the building to go to the nearest gasoline station. I bought two large gallons and poured it all around the building and even some parts inside. Once I emptied both gallons, stood a few meters away and lit the place on fire.
Smoke quickly managed to reach the control room. It didn’t take long before a panicked lady started running out of the premises. She was too late. The entrance was set fully ablaze yet she could still make out my figure because she was yelling in between fits of coughing “Why are you doing this to me? Did you see? They all deserved it! I don’t deserve to die like this. I could only watch her make her futile attempts until her very last breath before she burnt to a crisp I heard her mutter “You monster”
“Me? a monster? Trust me, You’ve no idea what I’ve been through yet I never tortured my old bosses like you’re doing” I then pulled out a card which was the king of clubs, again I wrote “Alice” then left it on the ashes of what was formerly the body of a girl named Tiffany. Later on, I found out from police reports that she had a record in a psychological ward for the murder of both her parents and soon after, her succeeding foster parents and now anyone who seemed to pick on her

[Prompt]A psychopath has locked up a group of tormentors that picked on her when she was a kid. She informs the group that they will not be able to get out, but by all means, try. Killing them will feel more rewarding to her.
I stopped running when a familiar street finally came into view. I wasn’t sure which part of town I was in when I escaped that warehouse but this street seemed similar to the street going to the pub I was going to in the morning. I checked the clocks that adorned the walls of one of the shops there, it was almost 4a.m. I was knocked out the whole day then I spent so much time trapped in that warehouse. Doesn’t matter now. I needed to get home and take a bath. All this dried blood is disgusting.
I didn’t know when I managed to fall asleep but the moment I woke up it was already noon and I quickly turned on the small TV I had in my apartment room. The news of last night's encounter was on every channel and the corpses that were in that place seemed to be of all the most wanted persons on the police boards. If I had known, I wouldn’t have killed the guy but if some nut job started saying they were satan and was tormenting some random schmucks off the street then it seemed reasonable to kill him. Anyways, I’ll carry on his task as a better punisher. The police also started calling my work “The alice in wonderland” killings. It was funny because I wanted to send a letter to tell them about it but they seemed to have figured it out on their own. Those people were all as delusional as Alice who was high on magic shrooms.
On that night’s shift, I couldn’t believe myself when a whining figure just suddenly threw themselves at me, clinging and crying about how Carl thought I was abducted by some mafia gang off the streets and how he was so lonely the entire shift yesterday. I patted his arm and he released his grip on me. He was definitely still a 19 year old kid after all. That entire shift, he kept telling me about the alice killings and about the other news I’ve already heard of earlier. He also told me about the disappearance in the relatively safer part of town. He kept insisting that more and more psychopaths were on the loose and that a man my age should be more careful. Oh, if he only knew.
The entire shift lasted like that and by 5a.m. we turned on the radio to listen to the morning news.
“Student of XXXXXXX High school still
remain unfound and now another person,
XXXX, a fitness coach from XXXXXXX
fitness club is nowhere to be found.
She was last sighted on her way home
from her fitness club as witness
reported but she never reached home.
She is a woman in her late 30’s, 5’4
in height, blond hair. If anyone has
seen her, please contact the police
as soon as possible”
Another case to psycho out there. What was it with this town and all the crazies? But I did come here to eliminate them after all so I shouldn’t be one to complain.
-----
In another part of town, Screams were left unheard. A group of people were being held captive in an abandoned building somewhere in what the folks called “The safer part of town” As if. People of different backgrounds were locked in rooms, either in groups or alone yet they all had one thing in common. They used to pick on their captor years ago. Who would ever suspect anybody to make use of the haunted hotel that nearly burned to the ground to still be used. It made for the perfect villain hideout or so the Senior high student, Tiffany thought. Each room contained cameras and fully functioning speakers. It amused her how much they all pleaded to be released. Did they feel any remorse when they kept on insulting her? humiliating her? When they kept hurting her and even stole the only few people that ever loved her? no. They all deserved what they got in her eyes.
Each begged to be released from their respective rooms but there was no way she would allow that. She did offer them clues. some were rather gruesome wherein those in groups were made to compete for their escapes while those held alone in their rooms needed to solve something or remove a part of their body. It wasn’t that bad an idea but in the end, their deeds would definitely got to waste because she planned on killing each and every one of them in the end.
I will be typing on phone for a while so I can't give links and it's making me sad, honestly ;;-;;

Chapter 5
[Prompt] “I’m not evil, I punish evil.” Satan said, which is why you are here, the greatest punisher of evil to ever exist.
Despite not seeing him, I could feel him observing every move I made. I pressed the emergency speed dial number of the police station. Who knows if they’ll respond to my message but after that, I called in to the store. Carl was already there. Was I out for that long? I checked the clock too, It was almost 11, no wonder he was there. “Yo Dami-”
I cut him short and went on speaking “Yeah, Carl. Sorry, I can’t make it to work later, you’re on your own for the night, aight?” A banter of whines and protests came buzzing from the other line. Carl hated working that shift alone, especially when he thinks he’ll be the next to disappear in that part of town all the time. That kid, really “Chill, I just got something I had to do today and I’m too d*mn exhausted to even function right now. I’ll see you later” Despite the continuous protests, I hung up and the four-pupiled man probably couldn’t be more amused with how the call ended. As agreed on, I placed the phone back and the same hissing sound indicated the close of the container. It seemed that there was no way to escape through that small containment unit too but I do hope the police would trace my location at least. It was the only parting gift they left me, that they would come to my aid whenever I pressed that button.
“So tell me, just who are you?” He gave a few light chuckles which later on erupted into maniacal laughter. Okay, now I’m sure this guy really is crazy.
“Would you believe me if I told you I’m Satan?” I was stunned for a moment but should I really believe this nut-job? “Not to worry,I’m not evil, I punish evil”
“Is this what you tell all your hostages? But seriously, Tell me why you kidnapped me.” I asked with an edge to my tone
“If you could remember our conversation in the alley, That could be a clue.”
“What, you meant the “Time to stop playing pretend and get back to what you’re meant to be?”” I said with all the quote unquote gestures. I need to remember that I can’t see this guy.
“Exactly that, You’ve been doing a way better job at being a punisher that I’m starting to lose my title”
What- Was he kidding me right now? I got hostaged to listen to a whining devil that could very well split the earth in two if he so wanted. I let out a heavy sigh and rubbed on my temples rather forcefully. First time to meet a devil and it had to be something like this.
“So you kidnapped me. To get rid of me. Because I might as well replace you in your job!?!” No response. It was perhaps some minutes later that another hiss of air and a bit of smoke clouded the room. A door opened and there he stood, four pupils and all. He held a tray with a meal on it and I could not be more irritated. Was this his way of eliminating me? by poisoning me?
“This information might be a bit too much since you’re on an empty stomach. Just eat and die” A smile was plastered across that face of his. My vision really needs to help me figure out how to escape more than going through every possible scenario in which I’ll die.
I simply nodded then tried to take a peek out the entrance he came from. I could see blood, and a few dismembered limbs, was he being considerate in putting me in here? Either way, I took the tray from him then without a second’s delay, I threw the food at his face, of course the poison wouldn’t kill him but the utensils will. I grabbed the steak knife laid on the tray then plunged it into his eye. Blood gushed. His vessel was still human. Next I took the forked and pierced it at his throat, hopefully I could hit his jugular veins and his vessel would simply bleed to death. I was to make my escape through the only door but his body seemed to remain standing and clinging onto me. I could see his other eye, It shifted from having one pupil to four. This body was getting too weak for Satan to keep possessing. I had no other choice, I hauled the body out of the white room and out whatever warehouse it is that I saw.
After having thought that the underground kitchen with the prostitutes was bad, I stood to be corrected with the number of bodies that piled up here. Some were still fresh while others were rotting away. My vision was telling me that the cops were coming. I had no choice, I pushed the guy’s body off of me then I pulled out a card, the diamond ace. I quickly scribbled “Alice” on it then I plunged it down the openings of his throat. The same spots where the steak fork was initially buried. This caused more blood to ooze but I didn’t care. I peeled off my coat then I jumped out the nearest window to make a run for it before the police arrived.
That night,I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life, I messed with whatever sh*t Satan was doing. It seemed like it would mark the start of his unending hunt for my head but what was I to do. This world needed a better punisher than that cry baby of a devil people was supposed to fear.

Chapter 4
[Prompt] I am seeing all white, “where am I? Am I dead? anybody out there?! Is this heaven? Hellooooooo...”
The next few days proceeded as if nothing happened. The diner closed down and apparently the lady’s name was Meiko. She was of Chinese nationality and I was fairly surprised that my co-worker, Carl knew more than I did. I didn’t even have any background on her, I just based on what I saw. My card was also found and I did a really good job not leaving any traces on that thing. They think it could just be coincidental but just they wait.
The other customers that came here still came and continued to buy some really weird stuff but i didn’t even bother into it much anymore. All I knew was that my next target was the guy that wore shades. The up and coming artist.
I was ending my shift and I decided to take a little stroll around the neighborhood while it was relatively a safe time. I went by the clubs and bars that were now closing up after a busy night. Casinos here seem to function 24 hours too. Probably have a lot of people with gambling problems, I guess. I came by this small pub that was still opened. I deserve a drink not at the apartment too so why not, pay day was yesterday anyways and nothing beats beer that ain’t close to expiry.
The moment I stepped foot in the premises, there I saw that shades guy still performing on the platform stage. And strangely enough, drunks and so many people still swarmed around him as he sang. no wonder this place hasn’t closed yet. It was still as busy as if it was night. I seemed to have caught his attention though because he had come to a pause in his singing just to look at me. His gaze never seemed to have left me even as I seated myself in the far end of the pub just to drink my scotch in peace. Nope, no peace for me. I better finish this quickly and get out of here.
There was something with his voice though, that made me want to stay for a while. My visions were telling me all possible scenarios yet I found myself glued to my seat, just listening. This is bad, If i don’t escape soon, who knows what would happen. The thought terrified me yet here I was, ordering yet another round of scotch. F*ck. I was internally cursing myself. After a while he made this grandeur gesture and that was apparently the end of his performance. I chugged down whatever remained of my scotch and quickly made my way out but This shades guy seemed to have other plans.
He found the need to actually call me up on stage and unwillingly my body compelled. He took me backstage with him and the next thing I knew, I felt something hit my nape then everything started fading into black. The next thing I knew, all I could see was white. Where in the world was i? **“Helloooo'**' I called out despite knowing how bad an idea it was but I had to confirm I was still alive. All white means I either died or I was thrown into those creepy asylum rooms I saw a lot of in my time on the force. Both were bad signs.
I was about to cause more ruckus when a voice resonated in the room. “Don’t worry, you’re not dead yet but make a wrong move or say something I don’t like and you might as well be.” Where was that sound coming from? the walls weren’t that thin based on how much I tried to kick and hit with my body. Was there a sort of speaker? The ceiling? I need to escape here ASAP. Unfortunately after who knows how long of me attempting to kick and punch the walls, nothing. Not even my vision helped me out this time, I was on my own.
As I slumped back against the nearest wall, then I heard his voice again *“So, you finally give up?”* He seemed rather amused, as if her were watching the whole time
**“As if, I’m just resting”** I said rather smugly despite being admittedly exhausted from all my escape attempts “Hey, why’d you lock me up here? I still have a shift to run later” if kicking and punching wasn’t gonna pave my way out, might as well try to think of other ways,
*“People in that part of town go missing all the time. Nobody will care if you disappear or not for a shift, maybe all of them”* I could hear the laughter in his voice. What was this man planning “*If you’re that concerned with your employment status in that old convenience store then I’ll let you call in sick but no funny business*” As he finished his thoughts, a hiss of smoke appeared from one side of the walls as a small trap door opened “ *just make the call quick and put the phone back”*

Chapter 2 https://read.cash/@Hanzell/reaper-ch-2-2d725629
Chapter 3:
**[Prompt] The man sits before you. Two arms, two legs, one head. At first glance he looks human. But no human has four pupils in each eye. “Don’t you think it’s time?” He asks, “Time to stop playing pretend and get back to what you’re meant to be?”**
I pressed the numbers for the nearest police station. I made sure to save that the moment I got to town and it seemed like I would be using it more often than I had hoped for. I gained no response so I took a few snaps of what my camera could take and sent it via MMS instead. Hopefully they won’t be ignoring me now. As I waited, I continued to sneak deeper into the premises. The mumbling from the entrance definitely became clearer. So they were prostitutes… They lured the men in.. it didn’t matter from what background. As for the other women that were hung.. they were former prostitutes of hers, the ones that had children, the ones that snitched on her, the ones that tried to ruin this woman’s business.. and the ones that found out by accident. Such a horrible fate they had to have died this way. It didn’t matter now, there was nothing I could do for them now. All I had to shoot was the ringmaster.
As I walked, I came to thinking that maybe it was good that I left the task force. They would never have the intelligence to go to seemingly harmless establishments such as this one. a diner, brilliant! Hopefully the police here aren’t in cahoots with this woman too. Maybe they were since this is probably where they get their sloppy joes from. Bah who cares now. Where is she. As I turned the next corner, there she was, standing tall and proud next to the meat processor. God she must be psychotic. She even looked so happy as she watched each person come out of that machine as nothing but a pile of ground meat. Disgusting.
I just need one clear shot. I positioned myself behind the crates that seemed to be for storage, luckily it hid me and my small handgun well enough that I could aim for a clearer shot. Nobody else needed to be involved, just her. As i readied myself to take that shot, I muttered to myself “Say hello to Satan for me, Crazy b*tch” I shot straight on the head then left one of the trick cards I used when I tried out street performing. I wrote “Alice” on the red queen of heart’s card. It seemed to fit her perfectly and I needed my deeds to be remembered by people.
In a split second she was falling off the platform and that was my cue to get my ass out of there. I made a run for it and as soon as I got out, there the police had just arrived “Slow as always” i just laughed inwardly to myself as I made a run for the apartment I owned but on my run, I bumped into this guy that always bought booze at the convenience store too. I fell flat on my behind and as soon as he saw that, he sat himself in front of me, more like squatted then he removed his shades. As if the night wasn’t weird enough. “Hey, you’re the guy from the convenience store” I could only nod in response. I was at a loss for words when I saw how abnormal his eyes were. There were four pupils. It was so unnatural. A vision flashed before my eyes and I knew he would be my next target.
I was about to get up when he spoke again “Don’t you think it’s time?” Was he asking me? “Time to stop playing pretend and get back to what you’re meant to be?”
Did he know? How did he know? I didn’t see anything that seemed to come off as if he knew. It wasn’t something I could shrug off but after that encounter I still rushed back to the apartment and turned on the television. There she was. The owner of the restaurant and all the ladies she had forced into prostitution and in doing her own bidding..
Chapter 4

Moving houses
I had mentioned before of how excited I was that I got hired for my first job. I was even so willing to relocate for the purpose of work but then after a few days and while I was busy getting my work requirements and documents I realized, I won't get to eat with my family that much anymore. Won't get to sleep with my dogs much because I don't think I can take care of them when I'll be working 10 hours shifts.
My willingness to move was suddenly replaced with anxieties. As much as I'll get to see my boyfriend more and that I'll be living with my best friend, I still can't shake the thought of having to only visit my family at least twice per month. No more happy and loud dinners.. no more furbabies basically jumping you yhe moment you set foot on the door, no more arguing over what to eat because of such major difference in tastes.
There's also the issue with house repairs since I decided to move into my grandmother's old house in the same city the company was in. The company agreed to provide a shuttle service for me and my best friend (she got hired in the same company too. We have the same work sched too, just different departments) so that kind of takes a load off the rent in their dorms because that rent was ridiculous- $60 a month is so not worth it for just a bed and a lack pf kitchen and wi fi. That $60 would be enough to pay the bills in the old house and provide us with enough food supplies to last untol the next payday, honestly.
But the house was definitely old. It needs major repairs which we will start doing the moment we settle in. We'll eventually need to get the roof replaced and have the electric wiring realigned soon but what I like about this place is that it has a provincial vibe. I used to visit here when I was younger so I was amused that nothing changed. Everything was the same as how it was left almost 3 years ago. This house serves as a refuge place for any of us. My grandmother kept this place to serve that purpose and now the keys are in my hands and I hope it serves its purpose well.
By next week I'll be permanently residing here and by then I'll start my attempts at gardening because out front is a lot of area which I could try planting in and enough sunlight that my current house lacked
There was so much greenery there. Hopefully in the 3 years I have to stay here, I can fix it enough and hopefully by December I can save enough to have the extra rooms fixed so I can rent it out. It'll be a huge help with saving and a way for me and my bestfriend to not pay the bills and worry about using up too much of our salary on food 😂😂😂 we just both want to save as much as we can while we're working for that company
This room is actually an extra, it has its own bathroom behind that wall but we still plan to have that checked and fixed soon too so that the rentee won't feel cheated by the price we intend to set as the renting fee. For now these are my short term goal. The garden and the rental space. It would definitely be a huge help with our budget 😂😂😂

Chapter 2: I *loved* meat
[Prompt] As a supermarket cashier, you normally don’t really think too much about what people are buying unless it’s particularly quirky. But recently, there have been odd patterns in what people are buying, and it’s becoming possible to ignore
I moved to a different state and even changed my occupational line to something that sees more people. I tried for a street performer thing for a while but it never really worked out for me. It wasn’t a good idea if I wanted to snitch out the people I needed to kill. Next I tried for a cashier position at this convenience store for the seediest part of town and it actually worked for me. I even asked for the graveyard shift and the owner couldn’t be happier since everyone he hired loathed that shift more than anything.
A week after I filed in my application, I started my first day.. er, night maybe?
11:28p.m.
I was left to man the cash register while the only person I’m with, Carl was doing the inventory, the morning shift guys apparently never bothered to finish.
1:15a.m.
One bought condoms, maybe she’s getting lucky but to buy 5 boxes, must be a busy night. My foresight ability didn’t really give me a clear image of the events of her night. I wasn’t curious enough but she seemed way too formal to be buying that many condoms. Maybe that’s how prostitutes are in this part of town. Who knows?
2:43a.m.
A guy walks in and he has this wild look. Must be a performer judging from the alcohol and throat medicine he just got. Plus those shades that he kept on. i don’t think he’ll be willing to take those off even when I asked. That’s the thing with people who have a celebrity syndrome, I guess?
5:57a.m.
It was unusual that people still jogged on this part of time but here came a pretty lady dressed rather revealing even if you do say it’s jogging ware. Who would show that much skin around these parts of time when rape was so ramapnt. she had a sports drink and a few snacks but I noticed that she slipped in some duct tape… maybe she needed it at home and I was being paranoid.
6:28a.m.
A few more minutes before my shift ends. Two people came in. They bought a bunch of papers from that stationary supply corner the store had. It doesn’t seem like they were in schooling level anymore but they did look smart and hella tired from whatever it was they were doing. It be better not to ask.
In that entire night, I could count on my fingers the number of customers we had and all of them seemed to come off as strange to me. AS the week proceeded, I kept seeing them more. At almost the same times yet they kept buying the same things except the Lady that was always in formal wear. After the condoms it was duct tape, a lot of it. Then it was lighter fluids and a bunch of matches. then so many bandages. It was getting suspicious to me, not that the others weren’t but her case bothered me.
On my day off, I still came to work but hid at the back. At around 1:30, she was there again. This time she bought a bunch of those large garbage bags. It was getting way off so I followed her. My tracks came to a stop when I saw her enter the most famous dinner in town and admittedly one of my favorite places to grab dinner from. Yet I’ve never seen her before. What was she doing here?
I snuck in after her and followed her to the kitchen, there I saw her disappear. When I went to have a look, there was a door hidden among the tiles, a trap door. The moment I went in, I felt like I could kiss the food I had goodbye. It was horrid, Bodies everywhere. Women, children, men, It didn’t matter what as they hung by their necks. Some women were alive but they were dressed so sluttily. Were they prostitutes? It didn’t matter. I should have followed my foresight sooner. So many lives could have been saved. But what bothered me the most was the huge meat processor, the one used for hot-dogs and those other processed meats. that’s when it hit me, she was using these people as the meat for her diner’s food. I wanted to vomit right then and there but no.I need to end this.

A miracle in you
[Prompt] Everyone knows the exact date and time you die. In five minutes you will meet yourdemise. Ten minutes later and you’re still alive and receive a message “ Congratulations…”
-----
Years ago, reapers had come to try out a new project of theirs where they would appearbefore a person that only had a week or so to live. Of course, this was not always the caseand in the rare times, some would stray from this fate by defying the reapers.
Tik tok, tik tok, the clock resounded so loudly in her head as she gazed at the largegrandfather clock. The reaper came to visit her that day. It was the time. A week to live, huh?The time became imprinted on her left arm so boldly, like a timer going on a countdown.
What can even be done except to live her life as is. There were so many cases where somewent ahead with their deaths. Some simply lived as if every day were their last. Many madeamendments in the hopes of bettering the judgement they would eventually receive but toher, what could she even do? She barely had a life, barely had friends, lost her family. Itwasn’t really something she could be bothered about at that point.
Everyone knew when they would die now. The only question left was how? That was nevermentioned, it was only the time and day, nothing more. On that same day, as if on a whim, she looked for sites that talked about their deaths. One of the search results that popped upwas one that hosted meetups for people who were to die on the same date. It was intriguing.
So people actually did this. She made an account, looked through the site then it was merelyminutes when a ping came from the computer. Someone with the same death day wanted tomeet her. It was only him, apparently. He just received the news a while ago and themarkings on his left arm was enough proof. She agreed and that very night they shared adrink at the local pub midway their locations.
It was a rather unexpected event and what made it better was their shared interests. Thevery next morning she found herself in the bed of this man she just met. It was sure thatnothing happened yet she couldn’t hide her embarrassment for being in such a shamefulstate, despite that fact, she still lingered around the apartment and even prolonged her staythere until dinner. The next day, it was his turn to visit.
A faint flush dusted her cheeks as she allowed him inside. She was aware that it was simplybecause they were botched ying but had it not been the case, they might have really gottenoff well and would have taken things slow. That night they played video games the nightaway and by noon the following day, they had managed to finish the entire game. Only then did they decide that it was high time for some well deserved rest. By the time they woke up the next day, they decided to talk and play 20 questions.
She was younger than him by 2years and they both admitted that maybe they didn’t want to die alone. It was their fourth daytogether yet it seemed like they had known each other for months. For the next three days, she agreed that she would stay at his place and they would do everything they never got todo. As much as they wanted to abide by the list they made that same day, they never did. Allthe time they had was spent on each other. Cuddles, hugs, kisses, simply just relishing eachother’s presence. Then on the night they were both to die, they made love.
It was their way of saying their appropriate goodbyes and as a form of promise to each otherthat they would find each other even in their next lives. Five minutes before their demise, they simply held each other and whispered sweet nothings to each other. Time went ignored after that and it wasn’t until ten minutes after that they noticed the counter on their hands hadstopped. For how long exactly, they both didn’t know. It wasn’t until a hooded figureappeared before them and congratulated them for having defied their deaths as if among thefew miracles that were given to the few people that actually make the most of their remainingtime.
It haven't even finished collecting my papers yet but I just realized something. Before actually getting a job, you're gonna go broke first from all those paper processing fees and the medical 😤😤😤 so long savings. I hope my salary replaces you ;;-;;
