Dose of Encouragement Encourage the best in others when they’re going through hard times. And this is what I intend to do with this article. You know, When so many of us are experiencing life challenges, the words of encouragement can make all the difference. So I decided to compile some of the notes I have written down and then turn them into an article. The whole article might be a little bit confusing, as there is little link structure between the paragraphs, but stand…

Almost 1am here, so I need to hit the sack. Happy Monday to you all. Wishing you a great week ahead. The series I was watching kept me up later than I expected. By the way, “Star trek discovery” is a great series. That is of course if you are a fan of space and sci-fi movies like me. It’s so cold outside. Catch you later.

Procrastination I I have a lot going on in my life and I know that I procrastinate way too much. I know this because it's already 11:58 am (as at the time of writing), and I haven't started planning how tomorrow should be like, or even gone to sleep yet. I procrastinate because I'll just do it later, or because I guess I'm just finding excuses because I'm afraid to get started. It's a bad habit, and it really does make things worse. Some say, Procrastination is the thief of…

@Giddyboy

I wrote an article about procrastination yesterday and published it today. Let’s see if I can keep a 3 day streak tomorrow. https://read.cash/@Giddyboy/procrastination-i-20acc2cc Procrastination is a thief of time. It robs us of the joy and excitement that comes from experiencing the present moment, going after our dreams and living an engaged life. When we procrastinate, we miss out on valuable opportunities to learn, grow and live. The reason why procrastination is such a…

Procrastination II I wrote about this subject topic yesterday. Where I shed light on what procrastination really is. Whenever we hear the word “Procrastination” a negative message is automatically passed across to us. The word has been used along with negative situations like- failing to meet deadlines, failing examinations and the like. Well, I can’t blame us. It is what the society have tagged it to be. And I don’t blame the society really because the society is right.…

Yesterday, I published an article about procrastination. I wasn’t surprised to see that most people think of it as a bad thing. So I wrote on the good sides of it today. https://read.cash/@Giddyboy/procrastination-ii-01a1e7b2 In this sequel, I focused solely on the benefits of procrastination. You see, it isn’t all bad to procrastinate.

Of all the construction jobs I like, I prefer consulting jobs the most. Less risks, less input. Just payment for my expertise and experience. Simple. Just when i was thinking about how I was short on cash, a friend brought one of such jobs and I was done in less than 30 mins. Yaay.

Working Under Pressure I like working under pressure and this complements my procrastination side. Some people might be afraid of it, but I like it. It keeps me focused and more creative. I have to say that there is nothing I can't handle, if you know what I mean. I was put on this earth to work and work hard, everybody knows that. But there are times when some things in life just can't wait until tomorrow or the next day or next week for that matter, and sometimes you just…

@Giddyboy

It’s almost 2am and I haven’t slept. I am finally watching the popular Korean series “All Of Us Are Dead” on Netflix. I couldn’t watch it earlier when it came out because of my schedule then. I am at the 6th episode and so far, I’d say it is just a normal series to me. I wonder why it ran for 12 episodes. They spent a lot of unnecessary time in most of the scenes. I think it’s time to sleep now. I’ll continue streaming the remaining episodes when I wake in the morning.…

Flip Side to Working Under Pressure We often hear about the benefits of working under pressure. Extra work, more output, excellent quality, creative output, etc. But, we rarely hear about the flip side of working under pressure i.e. work pressure. Work pressure is a negative effect created by working under stress. Although it is the side effect of working under pressure, but it is not entirely a negative effect. Work pressure can also lead to positive outcomes better than…

Screen Time, Eyesight and Others Eye strain is the first symptom that you're overworking your eyes. When your eyes feel dry and burning all the time, it's called eye strain. It is best to give your eyes a break if you are suffering from this illness. Long hours spent in front of the computer, desktop or laptop can cause our eyesight to be overused. And when that happens to the eyes, signs can show up such as red eyes, strained eyes, headaches and eyestrain. How do you think…

It is currently raining here, and all I want to do is get lost in my bed. I have the weird carving to sleep under the bed as it is getting really cold here. 🥶 https://read.cash/@Giddyboy/screen-time-eyesight-and-others-2206b3ef Anyways, I noticed my screen time this week is a 55% increase from last week. I have been really spending time with my phone lately. I did a little digging about the effects of screen time on eyesights and decided to turn it into an article. See ya…

Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week. It is a day of rest and reflection. The feeling of this day reminds me to be mindful and intentional in everything I do. Time to sit back, relax and enjoy the day people. Happy sunday !!!! I hope you have a very blessed and wonderful week. No matter how you spend your time, make sure you take time out to share with those you love. There is no greater gift than sharing your time with those who mean everything to you. That’s what…

Someone cares when the world is against you. Something to hold on to when it feels like you’re being uprooted from your core. You are not alone. Someone understands that you’re trying and failing, and trying again, and failing. Again. Again. Again. Someone sees that you really want this but it hurts a little too much and you can’t quite remember why, exactly. Someone hears about your fears and worries and can help you express them, to yourself or to others. Someone knows how…

Anxiety Anxiety is a mental illness that can affect a person's ability to function properly for extended periods of time. The most common emotions associated with anxiety are fear, nervousness, panic and feeling restless or on edge. When anxiety is serious, the physical symptoms can include chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating, trembling and an upset stomach. The feeling of anxiety may cause you to feel like you're "going crazy" or that something terrible is about to…

I wrote an article about anxiety. I have been having this feeling for as long as I remember. https://read.cash/@Giddyboy/anxiety-47dc452e When we are anxious we tend to feel restless and uneasy as our mind is racing with thoughts of what might happen. We worry about the possible outcome of situations and focus on worst case scenario. We also tend to overthink and complicate things, making simple things seem impossible Anxiety is a feeling of worry that can come upon you…

Impatience: Every Over Ambitious Person’s Downfall To be impatient is to look at something you want and expect it to happen immediately instead of allowing it to unfold naturally. Impatience makes you rush things along, shortening your own learning curve as well as getting ahead of yourself. Impatience may be defined as: a feeling of annoyance and displeasure resulting from a sense of anxiety or eagerness especially when caused by delay or waiting. The reason impatience has…

Life: Challenge or Opportunity How do you view life? A challenge or an opportunity? Sometimes, life can be challenging. We make verbal contracts in our heads, with ourselves, about how we should be, about how we should act. When we get out of line, when we don’t act in the ways that we imagined, this causes a lot of pain and suffering. Unresolved guilt, fear of failure, feelings of inadequacy – all of these things can cause us to feel confused and very unhappy in the present…

@Giddyboy

https://read.cash/@Giddyboy/life-challenge-or-opportunity-78c3ea24 Life is filled with obstacles. Sometimes they are physical, sometimes they are mental, sometimes they are social, sometimes they are environmental. Sometimes we hit these obstacles and succeed. Sometimes we hit these obstacles and fail. What makes us different is how we respond to these obstacles. After all, life is not about the hurdles, it's about how we get over them.

I thought I was going to add weight when I decided to go home. It’s been 3 weeks now and no improvement. My siblings are all minding their businesses to the point that this house is boring. And since I don’t go out, I feel the most boredom. Just the other day, I opened my Netflix App but can’t seem to pick any movie of interest. Opened it again some moment ago. So many shows but non of interest. Suggestions please. Sighs.

@Giddyboy

I thought parents are supposed to have the best interest of their kids at heart. Like why give birth to children and not be there for them intentionally? There’s a lady few plots away from my parents house that has left her kids (2 little girls) and her husband. Why? No specific reason other than she wants to be free. Prior to her leaving, she was always getting drunk almost every day (so I heard). Sad really. My mum took the 2 girls in and they’ve been leaving with her for…

Assisting a friend abroad conduct a research in the construction industry. When he sent me an invitation, I didn’t hesitate to say “Yes”. I didn’t take a second to comprehend the amount of work I’d be doing. Now I am stuck with over a 100 papers to review. On the bright side, this research will help the construction industry at least in the area of Health and Safety. The welfare of construction workers should be the top variable when trying to undergo any construction…

Lately, I have been feeling uncomfortable with my teeth. I keep getting this tingling sensation. I have tried different toothpastes, but I still get that sensation. I decided to book an appointment with the dentist for Tuesday next week. They should know better and be able to provide a lasting solution. So Tuesday, I’ll face one of my worse fears. Haha. No, I don’t smoke.

@Giddyboy

Currently at the dentist’s. Waiting for my turn to get checked. I hope just a little scaling and polishing will do the trick to reduce my teeth sensitivity.
