"Peace begins with a smile"
Has anyone ever heard the advice to smile and be happy? It's probably not the advice you want to hear, especially if you're feeling ill, exhausted, or just down in the dumps. Nevertheless, as clichéd as it may sound, there is a good cause to smile instead of pout. Science has demonstrated that smiling alone can improve your mood, reduce stress, strengthen your immune system, and perhaps even lengthen your life.
"Learn to smile at every situation. See it as an opportunity to prove your strength and ability." — Joe Brown
However, by smiling, one might lessen the level of animosity they have for the other person. It is contagious to smile. When you smile at someone, they usually return the favor by grinning back. I was staring at the gaze of a baby yesterday down the streets. She was just focused on me while her mom was selling things to me. At the time, I smiled at her and immediately, she smiled back at me. Sometimes it could be the baby smiling at us even when we're angry. We end up smiling back at them.
So, at least in that situation, there aren't any hateful moments and you don't temporarily harbor animosity toward the other person. The path to peace starts in this manner. Hatred has no place when there is love and compassion.
"Use your smile to change the world but don’t let the world change your smile." — Unknown
Countries today compete with one another for wealth and power. However, they do not address issues that are impacting the nation's population on an internal level.
The world would be a better and happier place to live if nations eliminated poverty, provided food and shelter for their populations, and discouraged hostility of other nations. Countries should engage in peaceful dialogue instead of using force, and they should demonstrate their concern and affection for other countries by grinning from the heart. Smiling is contagious. Millions of lives could be improved by it.
Smiling is healthy and beautiful, a grin comes from the heart and touches the recipient's heart; it is not merely a surface action that occurs only on the face. Love and peace are powerful forces that happen at heart
Two peace activists, Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi, have shown the world that a smile can go a long way. And a smile never does anyone any harm. When you smile, you open your arms to the other person and take a step toward establishing and preserving friendly relations.
"Before you put on a frown, make absolutely sure there are no smiles available." — Jim Beggs
At some point since the calling off of the university strike, I was confused because I had lots of things to do and I am to leave even the ones I'm doing to go back to the university. I had to restart new plans to fit myself into the new trend. On hearing the news, I felt two ways. First, I was happy and secondly, I was disturbed. "Why now that I have gone far with what I am doing" this is a strike that has lasted for over eight months. I was thinking that this year is gone but all of a sudden, it was called off. Now I had to quit my job because I can't continue with it staying at school. All my plans for the year reversed in seconds. That put a frowning face on me but what will I do? I can't do anything about it. I had to force smile everytime I remember that and now, I have gotten over it.
There is, in fact, overwhelming proof that smiling is good for us. I've been conducting my own mini-experiments in smiling since doing the research for this article. When I tightened up in thoughts yesterday, again during a workout, and then this morning when I woke up with a headache, I attempted to smile. When I'm stressed out or exhausted, I've discovered that smiling makes me feel utterly out of character and pushes me out of my comfort zone. However, I must say that as soon as I smiled, I felt happier and instantly became calmer and less agitated.
Thank you for your time once again, I remain yours sincerely @Gianna-B
