Nowhere is safe, guard your life always.

Sometimes I wonder how I missed my way and landed in this part of the world where barbaric things have become a normal thing among the people, this used to be my thought as a teenager when I see elders talking about the terrible things going on out there in the country.

I remembered then, I was scared of the Labe Orun, Nkan nbe, and some horrible reality shows. The programs were about revealing secrets, investigating evil acts, the first and only time I watched it built so much fear that I usually don't see the world going beyond a few days. I have on many occasions wished that the world should just end because of the terrible things happening out there, I was always concerned about what my country would look like two decades from now, and what will be the fate of the children in the future.

If things are these bad now, tomorrow would be disastrous. I have lost hope that it would ever get better, our parents were in this, and now it is our turn to see terrible things happening out there. I stopped seeing the news a long time but seeing stories on the Internet still breaks my heart, I can't do away from the Internet even if I can avoid the TV.

I always thought it was just here but I grew up before I knew that evil is everywhere, in every corner of the world as long as humans are there which automatically means that there is no safe place in the world.

We have allowed hate and discrimination to grow in our hearts because of greed, jealousy, and covetousness. The world is toxic and it isn't just the world but the inhabitants of the world.

Is there a solution?

There is no solution to what's happening in the world, it is human nature to do these things we call evil, and the people who have been able to suppress theirs are very few.

If these few are spared and the rest wiped out, don't be surprised that the world would still be what it is because we are still here. None of these things started today, Cain killed Abel, and despite Christ's sacrifice, only a few still want to be saved. I don't see any solution, nothing will change the world or its inhabitant's ways of life, it is so sad to know that we just have to live through it just like the people that were here before us did.

What can we do?

It is simple, we must understand that nowhere in the world is safe. No one can guarantee safety, if you think somewhere is safe then it means that humans haven't found it out yet. The only thing left for us is to protect ourselves, we must always guard our heads and heart if we choose to remain here.

Entrusting our safety to a fellow human would be a mistake, you must always be on guard for yourself. Even your best friend and family to some extent can't be trusted, isn't it in this same world someone killed his best friend because he was getting more successful than him or what do you have to say about someone who joined hands together with his mother to use his brother for ritual?

If you aren't safe with friends and family, where else in the world can we find safety if not with just ourselves?

The body will always be in danger but the soul can find a peaceful resting place if we choose to walk with God throughout our journey in life.
