I wrote about how we can package our product which is a clue to making it big in the market and I promise to write about how we can also package ourselves as human and not just only the product that we sell.

So look up to the title of the article and read it again to understand what I meant, I said package but don't pretend, many people have misinterpreted these two words over the years and it's so painful that it has lost its meaning. Imagine a roadside food seller who dressed officially selling food to people, won't you wish to eat such a person food compare to any other food seller who just dresses up anyhow and says he or she is selling food.

I have heard a case where God told a graduate who has looked for a job for several years and couldn't get one. He went to the mountain to pray and God told him to start selling salt. He was directed to be dressing corporately, he should put on a shirt and trousers with a tie. He did exactly just that for several months, so one day, a wealthy man walk up to him and asked him if he can be supplying bags of salt overseas, he quickly replied and say yes that he can. That's how his life experienced a turnaround for good.

You can denote from the story that even God value packaging. The fact that he was putting on a suit and tie doesn't mean he was pretending but he was preparing himself for a better offer by packaging himself for him to be presentable. Assuming he was just putting on casual wear, will he have been approached by the wealthy man? No, because he will only look like a common man that is, like every other person on the street. The packaging gave him an edge over other sellers of salt cos I believe he will not be the only one selling salt at the place.

Why do people who wrote employment letters to a company and have been called up by the company to come for an interview dressed up very nicely before going, some goes to the extent of buying a new suit just for the interview, does that mean they are pretending to be who they are not? No, they are only trying to be at their best for the job.

Dressing corporately is not the only way we can package ourselves, the fact that we look very good and well presentable shows we have packaged ourselves unlike those who just dress anyhow without considering what people will say about them. Many will go a long way to borrow shoes, shirts, suits, wristwatches etc from people all in the name of packaging which is wrong, that's pure pretending. We shouldn't pretend by calling ourselves what we are not just because we want to package ourselves, it is very wrong.

In conclusion;

Packaging is like giving ourselves a brand for people to have an interest in whatever we are doing or will do while pretending is lying to people and calling ourselves names that we aren't entitled to. Package yourself and show yourself approve by many but never pretend to people all in the name of packaging.
