Genuinely you're a good person; how did I know?.
Being holy isn't enough to make you a good person; there's nothing wrong with being holy, but it doesn't make you a good person. I'm not trying to be impolite here; I always have a tale to back up my thoughts.

My grandmother once told me of a beggar who stood across the highway 24/7. He was always there, even amid rain, sunshine, and floods, and as each day passed, he was always there, never sick.
No one ever went near him since they were afraid, therefore the best thing people can do is simply put some money they can donate to help him in a bowl that the beggar placed next him.
Until one day, when a young rich guy claiming to be holy approached him and lectured him about life, its struggles, and all he needed to be motivated again, so when this young man tried to inspire and encourage the beggar, after which he had done that he always go home to sleep after a long day.
So the rich man came by once again to try to inspire him, but this time he saw that the man was not pleased, so the rich man told the beggar not to worry because he was going to help him out and that he would be back in an hour to grab something from his house which would change his life forever.
The day passed, the rich guy forgot what he had originally offered the beggar on the street, and the beggar died two days later...... What could have caused the beggar's death? ...... He was killed inadvertently by a wealthy guy who claimed to be sacred.
The reason I claimed the rich man killed him was that, at first, the man was content with where he was, he recognized his obstacles, and he fought them all and managed to stay alive..... Once the rich man assured him that he would assist him get out of his situation, he gave up on what he believed kept him alive, believing that the rich man would help him, and the beggar died as time passed.
After a few months, the rich man discovered the beggar was no longer around, but he never found out what he promised the beggar profoundly killed him.
The question now is, "How can I know you're a good person?"
1. Only make promises if you are confident in your ability to keep them.
2. you help people out when they are in need and actually Not waiting to receive anything in return.
3. when you realize someone is headed down the wrong path and you try to correct them despite the fact that they are not your friends or won't listen.
4. Even if you are unable to assist someone who requires assistance, you strive to aid them by locating someone who is in a better position to assist them
Final Thought
The way people treat cashiers or food waiters, especially when they are at fault and yet trying to prove that customers are always right, can reveal a lot about a person's character and from there you can know whether he/she is a good person.
In general, being helpful, showing kindness, and also being willing to listen to someone who wants to share his or her impediments with you, being polite to elders and younger ones, respecting people's secrets and never making fun of them by telling others, and being always happy seeing other people happy makes you a good person.
Have you ever felt like you couldn't sleep at night or were restless or uncomfortable after doing something wrong or intentionally hurting someone? If so, you're a good person. If you're doing something with the intention of hurting someone and have no remorse or guilt and you're comfortable doing it over and over again, you're not a good person.
