Light is the only solution to the darkness of life

Everyone wants to be seen, everyone wants something that will always bring peace to our hearts; yet, some people have chosen a route in quest of that serenity, and that path has led them to even more disaster. Some people have found themselves in a situation where they believe they would find the answer to their cravings, but it turns out to be a trap. The escape from the realities of life has led them to the horror of evil, no liberating experience of divine Love, nor the assurance of salvation they sought has ever kept them from falling into the embrace of transgression.

They could not remove the darkness from their hearts; they tried everything to get rid of it. Their hearts got infected with many infections, including the most dangerous ones, selfishness, envy, and self-righteousness. They continued trying to be happy, they tried to ignore their heart’s predicament but it is still there, dark, full of malice, and filled with negative emotions. They got to the point where they became empty and superficial to the point that no one around could satisfy them. They could not be happy, satisfied, or contented in this world. The light and joy have no way of getting into their heart. They could not be different, they did not want to be different.

They have been able to do many things to hide the darkness in their hearts but the truth is they could not keep the darkness from their hearts. It’s a state of despair, a condition of perpetual darkness that has pervaded the very core of their being. It had done so for so long that it had taken a grip of their soul.

However, since you are reading this, the darkness has not overpowered you and you are able to come out of it. Therefore, my friend, allow the light to extinguish your darkness, there is a ray of beautiful sunshine in you and this light can light up this dark place. There is a difference between happiness and joy, happiness is a temporary state and joy is an eternal state. You may think that you are happy but if you think that life is a sea of no return, then you are wrong, the light can pull you out of this pit. It can give you a second chance at life, so this light in you needs to be deployed into the darkness of your soul.

Though many things can pass for light, the truth remains that light has no replacement. If you're in the midst of a gloomy period in your life, the remedy is light; light doesn't beg darkness; rather, darkness flees at the first sign of light. There is no victory in darkness, there is no triumph in darkness, there is no hope in the darkness, darkness feeds on hope. I even dare say that the darkness can never defeat the light.

It is not enough to tell yourself that there is hope, that there is a God, that there is an eternity, you must prove to yourself that you deserve to win the spiritual war that you are waging. When the darkness has won its battle then the light in you must reveal its purpose, you must be convinced that you are the one who is destined to win this battle. You must put all your energy into winning the spiritual war, you must put all your effort into proving your worth and the worthiness of your heart, that it is worthy of leading, occupying, and advancing in your world. Your dark heart needs to be broken open, it needs to be washed clean of all the guilt, the desires, the sin, and the pain, your dark heart needs to be trusted and welcomed, it needs to be fully nourished with the loving light of God’s light, it needs to be rejuvenated and restored to life.

If you cannot understand the nature and purpose of the darkness that overtakes you then, my friend, I ask that you give up and allow God to carry you through it. It's good to talk to people and seek help and support but it is even better to go through the process yourself. If you can do it then you can conquer this battle, you can move through life in a manner that truly glorifies God.

So let's stop battling with the darkness of the soul because fighting it won't make it go away; there is only one answer to darkness, and once we find it, darkness will go. The answer is light.

Light defeats darkness by the simple fact that it is always present everywhere and at every time, a mirror of the world itself. There is light in all and every moment, we just need to look for it. Just like darkness cannot exist without light, darkness cannot exist in the light, darkness can not exist in any other way.

The light does not impose itself in our lives, it comes through us and we obey the voice within that says "let me shine" The light that ignites our hearts, unleashes our potential, corrects our faults, and strengthens our souls, this light is an essence of our self, an eternal principle that is part of the very DNA of who we are. This light can transform us from the inside out and can equip us to achieve miracles in our lives and in the lives of the people around us.

My friend, you must hear the voice of your soul and follow its direction, your soul is God. The way that you live your life will always reflect the light of God that resides in your soul and this light will help you to be the best that you can be. If you follow this light and transform your darkness into light, then I promise you that you will not only experience happiness in your life but you will experience joy, and that joy will radiate to those around you. You will also experience how happiness can help to transform the lives of others around you.
