Passing out parade: Red cross
What is a passing out parade, many of you that are new to the term "passing out parade" this is a parade that is done by people that have served in a place, be it military or paramilitary, the parade is used to decorate and honor officers that have served well during their tenure, I'm privilege to announce to you that I handed over my post as the Quarter Master of the Nigeria Red Cross, Kwara state polytechnic detachment on Wednesday, yeah, the Wednesday that just passed.
I'm an officer in my school and my job is to provide first aid to everyone studying in my school, both students and lecturers, we also stand as the medical team anytime the school has an event that would pull the crowd. I have served well in my 7years in school, I was once the Public Relations officer, then I was promoted to the Training officer, then to the Quarter Master. It hasn't been an easy job, but thanks be to God Almighty, I have served well and handed my post unto the next set that would move the dream of Red Cross forward.
The parade started at 11 am, and it was held at the IAS ground, it was a big open ground, though I intended not to match because I would like to be on my seat and watch as the new recruit match and give me salutation, but things didn't go how I planned it. I had no choice but to join the parade and act as the second in command on the parade ground. Many nights of practice were not in vain

After all the practice, it was time for us to show the public what we are made of and what we have been practicing, all the sleepless nights finally paid. off
After the parade started, I had to stand for more than 30min on the parade ground for the program to start. Immediately after the parade started, I put all the squad and the squad commandant on attention, then I went to the parade commandant to take over the parade. We matched back and took post of the place we are to stay.

After that, we went on to the slow match, we did the salutation
Then we advanced to the quick match, after the quick match, we all took posts back to the place we were and call back attention, it is in the video, and you can enjoy it.

It was a great day and I'm glad I'm beginning to hand over all the jobs given to me in school, it has been stressful, after the camp, then a week later we had our passing out parade, you should know how stressful that would be, but thankfully, it over, I'm now a state man, but I will always be a member, anytime I'm called upon, I would always answer.
