Hi readers!
I got these tips from the CEO and one of the co-founders of Anti-AgingGames.com. Reading from where she's connected with, you'll probably guess that this is not a piece of medical advice. These tips are to help keep your brain young and to help reduce the risk of early memory loss. I'll say it again. This is not medical advice.
I'm not going to make the introduction long and let's get to the tips directly. And by the way if you want to get the full list of the tips on making your brain young and to reduce the risk of early memory loss you may click here.
Fast walking is fantastic for your brain and your heart
Fast walking 30 minutes a day and five times a week are linked to 33% less Alzheimer. And if you'll include vigorous aerobic exercises that get your heart rate up and you are doing it three times a week for at least 20 minutes, that will reduce your risk down to 50%.
Any aerobic exercises or activity that pushes the blood into your brain faster, pushes the oxygen and nutrients into your brain faster help things repair and it will also push the waste out of your brain. Isn't it fantastic? You'll just have to keep walking and you'll reduce your risk of having the early onset of Alzheimer and not only that you'll also increase your energy, drop weight and you'll feel much healthier and happier.

Play mentally engaging games
There is a study that shows that any kind of learning, any kind of mind engaging games is good for your brain. The keys are that it has to be mentally engaging, it has to be interactive and of course, it has to be fun. It has to be interactive entertainment that will keep your brain working and entertained.
As always any kind of learning is good for you. You can learn a new language, a new instrument, or learn a complicated dance. You can even just play chess or any other board game. If you can incorporate some social component or physical component much better. The thing is, you are doing different things than what you normally do in a day. And that is what makes your brain grow new neural connections that is just good for you. Remember you don't have to master anything that you decided to learn, you just have to keep your brain working.
Avoid poisons
I guess you know what poisons I'm talking about right? And just in case you don't I'm talking about the poison in smoking. Lead in smoking you heard about that? And smoking in midlife doubles the rate of dementia later on in life. And even occasional cigarette, social smoking or social cigar, causes your capillaries being poisoned. And that is one of the things that we have to avoid.
We also have to avoid the toxic substances that we use in our everyday life. If you want to check how toxic your shampoo, your soap, your toothpaste, your make up, your sunscreen and all your cleaning products you can check it in cosmeticsdatabase.com. Yes there is a website where you can check how toxic these products are and they will show it to you on a scale of one to ten. In this way you can eliminate the stuff that you are using that are bad for health.
Being social is incredibly good for you
Hardvard shows a study that people who have five social ties, who enjoy spending their time with their friends, who stay away from toxic or negative people are really good for our health. Isolation is not good for human beings we have to interact and be with people. People who are less social or isolated have half the rate of cognitive decline. Therefore, isolation is really terrible for human beings.
So keep on connecting with friends especially this time of pandemic. What's important is the interaction we have with them.
Having a purpose and life direction is fantastic for you
Rush University Medical Cente conducted a reasearch and found that the people with the highest purpose in life and life direction had 24 times less prone to dementia than the people with the lowest purpose in life. All you have to do is find any cause that is important to you and it doesn't matter what it is as long as it is meaningful. Of course, you have to work on it regularly. It will add more new neural connections and your brain will thank you for it.
Relax
Relaxation is good for everyone.
You can go to spa for a massage, meditate, read a book or enroll to a yoga class. You can also do some walking in the park if you prefer to be out with nature. What's important is you are relaxing your mind and your body.
Avoid stress at all cost because it actually shrinks our brain. I'm sure no one want that. Stress rewires our brain and it affects our memory, it affects our decision making and can actually end up messing our emotional regulatory system too.
So if your job is making you stress, or there is someone who is stressing you out avoid it, because your health is much more important than the stress that you are getting from that job or from that toxic person.
Partner with your doctor
Partner with your doctor, but make sure that you partner with a good doctor that is prevention oriented. A doctor that will tell you what you need to do or what you need to eat in order for you to stay healthy. A doctor that will help you prevent diseases and not someone that will just prescribed you supplements without checking what you really need. A good doctor that will guide you and will partner with you in taking care of your health.
Protect your head
People who have had head injuries are like to have two to four time the rate of Alzheimer. So protecting our head is really importand and avoiding activities that will pose your head to high risk of brain trauma.
Final thoughts
If we want to reduce the risk of memory loss we have to make sure that we keep our brain active and give it some relaxation time too. Let's avoid stress at all cost and make sure to have a healthy diet.

Makakalimotin nako ngayon especially nung simula ng pandemic, hindi na masyado maka labas. Kaya ang ginawa ko nalang is mag basa ng articles at tsaka mag laro ng games na nakakapag bigay ng informations or nakakapag active to think critically.
