Lessons we learn from the plants November 12, 2021 I was writing my post in noise when this thought suddenly occurred to me. Plants are not just a decoration in our garden, nor just a portion of food that we can serve to our family but plants also do teaches us a lot of things every day.
If you will think about it, growing or taking care of plants does contribute a lot to our attitude and behavior. From seed to a full-blown plant, they are teaching us a lesson that we didn't notice every day. Here's what I notice that plants do teach us every day. **To be Patient** Plants teach us to be patient. You cannot just leave a plant in a pot and it will grow on its own. You have to water them every day, sometimes plants require watering twice a day. Different plants need different requirements and so we have to adjust what the plant needs. There are times that you also have to put fertilizer on it. Cut or remove the dead leaves and put them on the soil to become a fertilizer too. Some plants require pruning while others require thinning, some do prefer direct sunlight while others prefer under the shade. The plant doesn't grow overnight. You have to learn to wait for the right time for it to grow and bloom. check out this wonderful people who have an awesome articles! **To be caring** Plants teach us to be caring. In order for the plant to grow and be healthy, we have to look after them, we have to nurture them. We have to give them what it needs. We place them in the sunlight, we put the right soil to them, in short, we also take care of them just like what we do with our family. We shelter them from rain and too much sun. And in return, plants do give us oxygen. **To be appreciative** Plants teach us to be appreciative. As they grow every day, you can notice that they improve every day. Plants do inspire us every day that makes us see the beauty that it is offering. They have their own appeal that no one can resist, may you be a plant lover or not, it is hard to ignore the beauty of plants.
**To be happy** Plants teach us to be happy. Plants grow on their own with or without proper care from humans but there are plants that need nurturing. However, plants don't rely on the validation of other plants for them to grow beautifully and happy. With having enough sunlight, water, and a good soil they grow happily. And they are also sharing to us that happiness by growing well and healthy. And if you notice, plants do always turns to the sun, soaking up the light and turning it into energy to help them become healthier. **To be adaptable** Plants teach us to be adaptable. Plants have the ability to adapt to any kind of season. They know that the only constant here on earth is change. They even know when to bloom or when to hunker down and protect themselves. During summer, they bloom and soak to as much sunlight and energy as they can get and during the rainy season some plants shed their leaves and hibernate. Plants do know what season is coming and just like us they also prepare themselves on how they are going to strive or know what they need to toughen up for the coming season. Plants are not just a mere decoration in our environment, aside from providing oxygen that is important to us they also teach us some lessons that are needed in our daily lives. My wife began the quarantine without a plant almost in the house. Now almost 3 years later the house looks like a forest ahah
hahahaha i can imagine.. taking care of plants are so addicting
I really agree with plant teaching us how to be adaptable, because plants adapt to any weather, soil condition just to survive
yep that's true.. they can even survive storms
Just when we thought it was us to takes care of them (plants), we didn't realized how much of a lesson they teach us. This is an eye opener ~Manju
yep.. actually plants and humans do take care of each other
What you have written here are valuable and should be applied. Nature does teach us a lot of things. We just have to pay close attention to the details.
i agree with you Lee, we are just used on ignoring the things around us that we don't see how valuable they are
Yeah, only the plants had made me patient, because I'm the exact opposite back then before I started taking care of plants.
hahaha see they do teach us.. in their own silent way
This is well said ate Eylz. Sometimes we just ignored that some thing can give us a lot of lessons to ponder. I love how you describe how these plants teach us lessons. I can't reallt choose the best lesson I can get from plants but I'll choose how it taught us to be patient. I've been impatient these days not knowing that things will not happen overtime. It needs a lot of efforts and perseverance to reach.
just keep in mind that everything has its right time.. no matter how we force things to happen it won't
Really looking at it from this point of view, we have to learn a lot from plants, their patience in growing, their greatness in reaching great heights, their strength after having been so weak. Thank you for sharing
yep... we can learn a lot from them if only we will pay attention to it
I am actually not fond of plants for I have a killer hands and I do often appreciates it from afar not touching or smelling it
ah that's too sad...
I love this sis. Not only humans can teach us but the plants too. It teach us how to be a good individual. It teach us the things that will lead us to be in a good image. I love it. I love how you explained it. I love how you describe it, what are the importance of a plants.
Nicely explained all of aspects. Learning from an innocent tree. I reckon we all should love trees and plants.
In short plants are also our mentors in one or two ways, and always taught us to be polite, happy and caring.
Parang nag aalaga kadin Kasi ng pets no kapag sa halaman
Tama..and isa pa, plants need attention..mag gogrow depende kung papaanong atensyon at pag aalaga ang binibjgay sa kanila..
Super nice article po, we sometimes neglect yung mga bagay bagay sa paligid natin but if we observe, we can learn a lot from them and isa na dun ang mga tanim :)

The only plant I haven't been able to grow to this day is cactus. For some reason, I was not successful in growing cactus. I found out late that I gave a little too much water on the last try, but I'll try again.

All of the things that the plants teaches us is a kind of therapy. It calms and it cools down our temper. It makes us disciplined and responsible. No wonder, a plantita is good to be with.
Yes mahalaga din po talaga ang mga plants sa atin. Meron nga po kaming subject ngayon nanire require kami magtanim ng mga plants para matutunan daw po namin na mag-alaga nito at malaman namin ang kahalagahan nito.
Yes they teach us those!! i like it that seeing them thrive and live encourages me to keep on as well :)
We humans must be eternally grateful to plants and nature as a whole because my teacher once told me that your life lessons are all around you, you just have to see :)) your post reminds me of that
