Christmas with family
December 26, 2021
Hello Readers!
Time really passes by so quickly and the Christmas that we've been waiting for passes by just like any ordinary day.
I spent Christmas Eve till yesterday with my brother's family. Had fun with the gift-giving with the kids while eating Noche Buena. Surprised the kids with gifts and some random games after we ate and slept about 2am.
Christmas day.
I woke up late since we didn't plan to do anything in the morning plus I'm not that feeling well because of cold however Santa gave me something and found this gift beside me when I woke up. Thought I've been naughty this year but looks like I made it to Santa's nice list.
End up opened all my gifts yesterday morning and stayed in bed till past 10 am but have to get up and prepare since we are all having our lunch out.
We had lunch at Vikings, all 19 of us though our eldest is not with us because of his work. The kids are all excited to eat since it's their first time going out because of the pandemic. They tried everything, especially the desert area where there are different kinds of ice cream and cakes can be found. They also serve puto bumbong and bibingka but because of the long line in that area, I wasn't able to try it.
As always I end up in the Japanese food section and the salad section. Had different kinds of sushi and of course, the ever loved miso soup. I also tried their western food, where they served roasted lamb, chicken and beef.
Everyone enjoyed our lunch, especially Karl, the birthday boy. Took some pictures of the kids before we left the restaurant and went to Church. This year we visit Don Bosco Church as it is on our way to visit Mom and Dad. Of course, will not let the day pass without visiting them and sending some prayers of guidance from them.
Was home by 5pm and went directly to bed as I've already have a slight fever. Guess, been too tired from two days of cooking and not having enough rest.
Sharing with you the photo my of nieces and nephews before we left the restaurant. The one in the middle in the gray shirt is the birthday boy. The celebration didn't end there actually. The kids continue to enjoy the day and have their own get together while chatting about their biases (their term for their crushes).
While the boys have their own session too outside the house. The boys part is the usual get-together of my two brother plus their friends since high school which means it's a drinking session.
Our day ends happily spending some time with family and friends even if I'm sick. I just hope that I'll feel better soon as there will be a year-end party in our compound where there will be a revelation of our secret santa. Yep, there'll be more celebration before the new year so I really have to feel better as it means there'll be some cooking to be done.
How was your Christmas? I hope you all enjoyed it and was able to spend it with your loved ones.
