Hi Readers!
I was scanning twitter when I saw this post from ABS-CBN News. And I thought why don't I write about before starting a relationship. I know I'm not in a relationship right now but I don't think it will be a hindrance to write this one. Been in and out of a relationship already so I guess I already have that much experience to share with you.
Let's start with what Piolo Pascual says. I agree with everything that is written there and I also agree that he is still yummy up to now. LOL I'm getting distracted with his looks luckily the picture doesn't look like he is also looking at you.
It feels great to be in a relationship but before diving into that commitment know the person well. I mean really know the person very well. I'm also guilty of that don't fall too soon and I learned my lesson that's why I am agreeing to that line right now. Know every details of the person before trusting them, before giving your heart to that person.
Remember you only have one heart and you shouldn't allow anyone to break it apart. - My Amanda; Netflix.
Know yourself first
Before knowing anyone else, you have to know yourself first. You have to know what you like to do, what you like to eat, what makes you happy and especially what makes you sad. This are all important things before going in to a relationship to build a better foundation. It's not just about getting to know another person, because knowing another person without knowing yourself first will only lead you nowhere
Be who you are
Don't pretend to be someone you're not just to please another person. Be who you really are. This is why it is important to know yourself first. Life is far too short to pretend to be someone youβre not, and youβll only regret the time wasted trying to pretend you were someone else. Being yourself from the beginning of a relationship will help you avoid wasting your time with the wrong person. If they arenβt totally into who you are at your core, thereβs no point in continuing what you started.
Time management
Be sure to balance your time well. Before entering a relationship make sure that you will have time for your partner as well as for yourself and for the realities of life. Of course, we always want to be with the person that we care about, but don't forget that you also need to have your me time, you also have to prioritize your work and your family. That is why time management is important because you cannot give all your time to your significant other. Of course, you have to convey to your partner what things you need to get done for him to understand that you also have your priorities. Spending quality time with your partner is important but don't push your responsibilities to the side.
Communication
"Say what you mean and mean what you say, be direct and considerate, choose battles wisely, treat your partner well, and avoid destructive things like yelling, insulting, and judging," - Dr. Campbell
Always have an open communication line. Lack of communication leads to misunderstanding. That is why you have to be open to your partner. Tell him what you want and tell him what you need to do. Your partner is not a mind reader for him to know what's in that crazy mind of yours that is why you have to tell him, in this your partner will know what to do and what to expect from you.
Final thoughts
Start of a relationship is a lot of fun, a lot of discovering with each other, a lot of sleepless nights talking on the phone. But while you are getting to know each other more make sure not to forget to be who you really, don't pretend to be someone just to please your partner and always be open with each other. If you think something is wrong tell it to your partnert and don't let them guess what is happening with you because you will only be dissappointed because your partner will never guess it. And don't forget that having a quality time is important in every relationship.

Before you take that person off the shelf, make sure you have done your research. The ingredients, the packaging, the nutritional value, the best before date. LOL. Caveat Emptor - make sure you know what you're buying. It could be a lifelong purchase.
