Writing is not for all in the first place, not all people can write. Some may be good at speaking in front of an audience but cannot write better than those who cannot speak better in front of a crowd. Writing comes from passion, if you are not good at writing but you are passionate enough to learn then writing can be learned.
In this article, I will provide some reasons why we are losing interest in writing and how we can avoid it. I am also experiencing it sometimes but because I know how to avoid those things that trigger me to lose interest in writing, I was able to manage not to lose my interest at all.
What are the reasons that making us lose interest in writing?
There are several reasons why we lose interest in writings, it's all based on my observations from myself and from others as well.
➡️ Reading is not your forte
Why would I say that? How come it became a reason why we lose interest in writing?
Simple. Reading is the source of knowledge, if you keep writing based on your daily life and experiences, you will be out of topic. Imagine you wish to write an article per day based only on your experiences and daily routine in life, in a month there are 30 or 31 days and all your article is based on your yourself only, without reading other people's write-ups, you will run out of topics. Even if you keep forcing yourself to produce a topic it will not help at all, it will make you even more frustrated.
How does reading help you not to lose interest in writing?
Reading can give you new learnings and knowledge. It doesn't have to be crypto topics, don't be trying hard. You can read other people's articles about their experiences and life, it can give you new ideas about what to write.
We are not born knowledgeable, we get knowledge from our experiences and others as well, so read and read.
Make a reading habit, in that you can find some reflection on what you read and make your topic based on what you learned from your reading.
There are several writers here that write based on their daily reading and write some reflection on what they read just like @andrianlover You can do that as well, but don't copy his style just write based on your ways of writing.
➡️ You write based on your goals or the tips you receive
We are so engrossed to write when we receive bigger tips, we get overwhelmed and motivated when we get bigger rewards.
Who would not like that? Of course, me either if I get huge tips from the bot or other users especially Marc Demesel but it shouldn't be all the source of your motivation, what if the bot and other users stop tipping you? Everything here is random so you should not focused on money as your motivation.
You also write based on your goals, like you have to achieve a lot of BCH that is why you need to write daily, that's a good way of encouraging yourself to write but later on, you'll get tired and burn out and lose you will write.
How to avoid it then?
Write because you love writing
Be more inspired when you are being rewarded but don't let it be the sole purpose of your writing
Be more passionate in writing
Love and enjoy what you do.
➡️ You keep looking at others rewards and compared them to yours
One of the best ways to kill your motivation is by comparing yourself to others. Like how come I wrote better than them or I write like how they write but why receive less compared to them?
In this case, you started to question yourself if you are good enough or not. You will start losing your interest to write because you are not rewarded like others.
How to avoid this kind of thinking?
Do not compare yourself, even if you write better and articulate enough compared to others, you should always remember that the rewarding system is RANDOM.
Keep writing because you like doing it, even if you are rewarded less I am sure you've had enough compared to others. Everything is balanced, sometimes chances are also giving way for others, let's appreciate it.
Some are not a content creator but a blogger, where they blog simple things from their daily routine, so it has different ways but the results are the same they produce topics out from bubbles. Don't underestimate others, just keep the vibes and go with the flow.
➡️ You lack passion in writing
Writing comes from passion, if you just force yourself to write and are not passionate about what you do, you will end up getting lousy later on.
How to maintain the intact passion for writing?
Keep learning and read other people's works, as for me I may not be able to read everything here at reading. cash but I keep reading some news or crypto-related topics. In this way, I have learned new things and have something to share if I want to.
Enjoy what you do, enjoy the platform. When you enjoy and love what you do there's no way to kill your motivation.
Do not write for the sake of goals, you will end up pressuring yourself. Writing to achieve the goal is one good source of encouragement but do not force yourself just because you have a goal, you are being mean to yourself.
Have a break, enjoy some free time. Forget the goals and everything for a while. Recharge and come back with a zeal of passion.
Do not burn out yourself, as if the world ends and you need to hurry for the achievement of your goals.
Achievement can be brag but if you keep pressuring yourself so you can brag, that's something absurd.
Set goals that are achievable and enjoyable to achieve..in that way your writing ability will not be affected.
Last but not the list, when you can't think of any topic to write about even if you keep reading, go outside and find some inspiration. Breathe for a while and come back when your mind is clear and relax in that way you can write better.
➡️ You always struggles with writers block
Writers always experience this writers block wherein we cannot think of a certain topic or we come up with a topic but we cannot support the topic with enough details.
How to overcome writers block?
Take some time to rest and relax
Find some inspiration outside, watch some movies, listen to your favorite song, do your favorite hobby or whatever that can help you to see other dimensions so you can avoid pressuring yourself to write.
Always write with a happy heart, when we are at the mood to write we can relay a positive vibes to the readers as well.
➡️ You are always busy, no enough time to write
If you are a working person who have a job, your time is limited to play with your creative thoughts and put it up together in an article..but if you love writing you will always find time to write, that's how passion does when you love what you do you will find ways to do it even at your busiest day.
How to maintain writing if you are a busy person?
Do not pressure yourself to produce daily, 3-5 article a week is enough to keep up with your readers.
Schedule your time when are you going to write or Publish article
Write some drafts first and save it, you can finish your writeup whenever you want just start it and don't pressure yourself to finish right away.
Make your writing as your relaxing time, letting out those thoughts in your head to lessen the loads.
Disclaimer: Every content written in this article is from my observations and my own experiences, I don't intend to attack anyone because I didn't mention names. Thus, you free to share your opinions but mind you we have different views on some things. You can leave your reaction in the comments section but keep it in there and don't bring it outside.
Closing Thoughts
I experienced some of those but I have learned to control and let go of negative vibes so I will not lose my passion to write.
If you notice, my writing styles are changing constantly. It's because until now I am still trying to learn how to improve my writing skills just like how others format their articles, like Pantera, Cryptomax, JonicaBradley, MicroReylotes, and MoreGainStrategies. I like how they write their article. While I like how PVM keeps on writing and doesn't mind about the rewards, he writes because he loves exploring new projects.
The most motivational thing that keeps me going to write is the desire to “learn” via other people's works. When you are interested to learn everything, nothing can kill your motivation and that will push you to go through.
Also, sometimes if the bot does not visit me I'll take some rest on writing and call it my “cheat day”. I don't pressure myself and I don't want stress because I love myself! Check other platforms and enjoy, just like that.
I am not a hypocrite that I don't after money, of course I want it but I am also aware that blogging here is not a job and the tipping system is random.
I hope you learn something! Keep learning and keep writing... All the best!
