[OCT 3/30] Are You Ready Incase There Was Again Another Pandemic?
Last October 1, 2022, we had this meaningful activity where participants, including me, learned a lot of things from the speakers. She was this intelligent and keen mind; Ish or the wounded healers claims her history that started the Pandemic 2019 she graduated in University and one of the things she did is t return a favor to everyone in the emotional battle.
I remembered that Psychological issues arose as the pandemic started. This was when people felt alone, where the days of stagnant jobs had posed, which meant that people waging in terms of absence meant no pay. They were the ones who were mentally affected—thinking about where and when they could get their family expenses and all over the things in their daily lives.
I don’t want again to battle in the same pandemic last 2020-2021 where restrictions are on guard, that times where we have to face cages at home, we overthink much as we don’t want yet to die.
But overall Covid-19 still brings a lesson in our life that we should be prepared for what could happen soon. Those days give us credit for getting ready. That time did have the opportunity to get prepared. For the last pandemic, indeed and honestly, I am not prepared for what happened, emotionally and financially.
Covid-19 reminds me that anytime soon, there will be significant changes in the world, anytime there will be something that we never imagine getting possible.
Looking at the past was a history lesson. Having the challenge was a big deal; for us, that was for sure.
What if another pandemic comes? Where it was more fatal, resulting in sadness and grief. Are we ready? Emotionally and financially. Not to wish that happened, but thinking about the last pandemic, emotional despairs, and financial scares gives me the dilemma that I should prepare for a surprise that will just come out.
On the other hand, this was the third day of the month where I prepared essays for the entire comings, and who knows, for all my blogs, the topic of my essays is about mental health awareness and behavioral development.
ESSAY 5: How Does Praise Affect Children?
Children nowadays have been affected by social embracement, in the question of how praising your child could affect their mentality and behavior. This must be an open ground for the parent. In my days as Youngs, I wasn't that praised or even congratulated on what I was doing. Most of the time, I am just in the corner. But somehow, I do imagine what if, in my younger days, people always cheered me up and encouraged me to do things in school maybe and maybe not, I could have the mentality of my younger self as cheerful as ever.
Praising a child and cheering them for just a simple thing they could do is somehow beneficial in the child's growth. This could be done by simply smiling and saying they did right according to what they made even though they did not win or have the price of the tops. This is an open gate where they could practice more and not fear to try something as they will know they will not be scolded by trying things themselves.
Sometimes the supportive and praising parents win the child's trust as they can develop a bond.
So when I am a parent, surely I will praise even just a simple moving up of my child, in that way I could win his trust that trying their best is something that always is to be praised no matter how small or what achievement they will have.
ESSAY 6: Does considered technology affect a person's psychology?
Days we face more and more children who are now looking at their phones and gadgets. This happened as they were always in the trend of what was new, from the mobile games, applications, and even just for what is viral. We must accept that this is a new era where technology is now affecting personal psychology.
The animated character greatly influenced children as they looked and found the position reflecting the movement and even how the character talked. For some points, it feels likely they were designed to have that, to influence the child's mind from toddlers until teenagers.
This somehow comes to my childhood, where cartoon characters were made for me to be impressed by them.
As the generation right now where technological advancement has become part of psychology, positive and negative are in the same position. We could attest that somehow people's behavior developed thru watching and listening to certain people. We saw the difference in people from the way they talked because, somehow, society is now accepting this kind of action.
From the profanity and even the unpleasant mannerism.
There was a good side, like some Filipino toddlers could quickly learn by watching cartons, the English words become famous in their ears, and the rhyme and action also in the same positive. As it goes from year to year, I believe that personal psychology has been affected, especially that generation exposed to technology in its early days.
In high school, I was exposed to the internet, the teenage boy who discovered things on social media. Also, I think it will affect my cognitive mindset in the society.
Thank you for reading...
Praise and positive encouragement can be a double-edge sword just like technology. Too much of anything is not beneficial.
