Are you addicted to or obsessed with readcash?
About three days ago, I checked my profile page and saw that I am already 6 months old on read.cash. It felt like I joined yesterday.
I remember when I was still new on readcash(one to two months old) I used to engage alot, visit people's articles, drop good comments and upvote them. However as time went by and I had to resume school, the pressure was so overwhelming that I had to ditch readcash for while. The classes, hospital assignments, projects, practicals, group work and some personal issues. All these made my engagement and posting levels drop significantly. I would post once in a week and sometimes in two weeks. I hadn't much people visiting my articles since I don't visit articles often and readcash is like that. If you want engagements on hours, you'll have to engage on other's, a very interactive platform it is!
So after the University went on strike about two months ago, I decided to set things straight. I needed to settle my school workload since the strike presented the opportunity and I had intentions to optimise my interactions on this platform to make up for all the days I have lost, so I planned it like this:
My day starts by 1am and ends by 8 or 9pm(assuming all things go according to plan). Since there are 24 hours in a day, divide my readcash interaction time into bits of 4 hours. I go to bed at 8:30pm after visiting articles from four hours ago. I sleep for five hours a day so when I wake up at 1am(my new day!), I visit articles from five hours ago. I then take time to pray, prepare my article for today and study. I study till 4am after which the morning prayer and then I click on the notification icon then visit articles from 4 hours ago. I then log out and go do other things outside readcash then at 8am I log in to visit articles from 4 hours ago, then I log out to do other things until it is 12pm then I post my article for the day after replying to comments on my last article then after this, I visit articles from four hours ago. At 4pm I do the same thing (visit articles from four hours ago) and at 8:00pm after Isha prayer I visit articles from 4 hours ago. Although sometimes due to circumstances, I leave it until it is 12:30am after waking up from sleep... and so it continues..
I had to employ this strategy because I used to become overwhelmed when I see about 40 unvisited articles in my notif and I end up not visiting even one because of how overwhelming it is. I need readcash right now and I need to study too and do other things outside readcash. I admit there was a time I was obsessed with readcash making me abandon other things that needed attending to but now thankfully everything has been sorted out.
The above times I scheduled for my online gig kinda made me overconfident though so I joined Hive.blog and Blurt but it didn't work out. After spending money on both hive and blurt power I figured I will have to sacrifice and just do readcash and be content while focusing on other things regarding study and other aspects of personal development aside finances. @Princessbusayo guided me on how to start blurt and she was so kind to even give me some blurt power after I signed up, I knew instantly that it would just go to waste and I didn't know how to reply her so hanty Princess, this is the reason π.
Alot of us here on readcash are employees, students and housewives. All these come with serious responsibility and expectations. Time management is key to everything and never forget to create that balance in your life that should always be there. When things seem to be toppling, take your time to assess the situation so you wouldn't leave anything behind. For those who would love to engage more on readcash but are finding it difficult due to other responsibilities, my strategy might work for you or you can device yours yourself.
Thanks for reading,
Yours Layly,
