Filipino culture: How can we disagree to elders respectfully?
We, Filipinos are very loving and sentimental to our family. We value our parents, grandparents, and elders so much. They are like a big statue in the park that we look up to. However, sometimes we cannot deny that we will have a disagreement and argument with the elders. Most of the time, children and young people like is the one to blame for it.
Growing up in a religious family, there are certain values, core values to follow and when you break any of those. You know what will happen next. It is either you will received punishment or long-lasting double-edged painful words from them. I cannot blame my parents for that because that's how my grandparents raised them as well. In fact, I was raised by my grandma too when I was young.
There are situations where you will have to raise your voice and speak up for yourself because you know they are wrong. It is a fact that our parents are not perfect and they make mistake raising us as well. I know some of the users here are parents and I would like to ask you. What's the difference between you, as a young people back then speaking for yourself and now, as a parent hearing what your child argues when you both have a misunderstanding?
How do you disagree with elders respectfully?
I have noticed that sometimes our parents are being forceful to what they want for us even if we really don't want it to do. I know some of you experienced being dictated by your parents, and you voice out your opinions about it. The time you started answering back, expect that their moods will suddenly shift. Some parents become aggressive, some will frown and some will act violently.
What are the things that I have done when I want to argue with my parents with respect. I listed few list and I hope you learn something from it.
When speaking truth becomes destructive.
Always remember that when you want to response back with your parents in an argument. State the truth. Always state your honest feeling and opinion about it. It helps them to understand what you really wanted and they will realize that. It may be hard to speak truth, but when you start voicing it out. It feels like a big burden has been out from your body.
Hear more about their perspective.
It is very important that you will listen first. Do not try to react and retaliate without knowing what's their perspective about it. In this way, you are learning about their intention and why they are mad about it. Sometimes, we tend to answer back quickly than listening to them. I know it's hard to accept their perspective when you really don't want to listen to them. But you have to do it so that the situation will calm. Thus, you cannot win over them. That's it!
Don't spice things up.
I have tried to lie about an argument so that I can win over them. But later on, when the found out the truth. The only person to blame is me. Meaning, you don't have to lie. Tell it frankly. I believe parents want to hear a honest response from their children than hearing white lies.
Speak calmly with moderate voice.
This is the main problem why the conversation ends not well. When we start raising our voice to them, they will interpret it as if you are rude. Don't ever raise your voice. Speak calmly and moderate as much as possible. Be patient. If you want to win the argument with them, you have do it in peaceful way. I know, we know exactly what happens next when the conversation with them ends not well.
To sum it up, always be patient and nice when you are debating or discussing something with your parents or elders. We, Filipinos hate rude and disrespectful person a lot. We do not care who they are but as long as they disrespect us. We will no longer have a good relationship with them and that's a truth.
If you want to bring a sensitive topic that might break rules in your family so be careful. If you don't want their decision and choice for you, then speak up for it. Because at the end, you will not be happy and the burden is in your shoulder not to them. I hope that what I learn from my experiences will help you. But remember, you know your family more than anyone else here, so you know what's the best decision to do.

Two semesters left, what's the plan?
Ever since I was young, I dreamed to have and hold my graduation diploma. To receive that in college will be a joyful moment for me. I have been waiting for that day to happen. Thus, I only have two semesters left and I cannot wait. What's the feeling of walking on stage while the master of ceremonies (MC) will call your name. To have a cum laude beside your name is a bonus.
I wonder what face my parents have while holding my hands walking towards in front of the stage? Will they cry out loud? Will they smile so big? Whatever it is, I know that they are so proud of me. Even if they don't tell me that in words, I know from the very beginning how much they support and love me.
I still remember last couple of days, my mother browse on Facebook and saw a physical graduation. She was smiling while watching it. We were eating snacks that time and she told it to us. Then my father spoke, “I will be the one who walks with you on stage”. I felt like my ears are flapping wide. You will never, ever heard that from my father. It only means that he really is proud. He worked for it. He worked day and night to support my needs, our needs.
What I plan after graduation?
Two months break.
I feel like I deserved to take a break after a very long and exhausting studious way of life. The two months break is allotted to regain my senses and absorbed everything happened. I want to relax. I want to have peace because I know that before graduation. We will be having a thesis and big project which needs a lot of time. As you all know, I am a computer science student. To code and to program is not easy. We burned time to plan, code, approved, design, debug, and so on.
Review for civil service exam (CSE).
I am planning to take an exam of civil service exam after graduation because my course has no board exam. To pass the CSE is almost equivalent of board exam. Is that right? I don't know if it's true. Correct me if I am wrong. On the other hand, if I pass the exam, it will benefits me a lot. It adds credibility and surely good for my resume. Haha. That would be awesome. Anyways, it's not about your credentials, it's about skill and attitude on work.
Apply for Philippine Statistics Office (PSA).
Yes, you read it right. Since I was 11th grade, I really wanted to work in government especially in PSA. Why? I don't know my exact reason, but I know that my guts is telling me to apply for it. I don't know how much they are earning based on their position. Whatever it is, after I pass the CSE, I will definitely apply to them. So just wait for me PSA. I have an aunt working there for 6 years I think. It is PSA in Trece Martires City here in Cavite.
Apply a job abroad.
Do I have too much job to apply for? Well, after I gaining experiences in PSA for let's say about 3-5 years. I will look for a job abroad. One of my dreams is to work in Japan, Taiwan and UAE. I am not sure what life awaits me there, but I know I can do it. Whatever the fate brings, let's accept it and move forward. I know some of you are working abroad and living abroad. I am very excited to experience what it feels like living abroad like ate @Jane .
In my whole life, all I ever wanted is to become financially independent and have a happy family. A family that I will be proud to say that I build on scratch together with my soon-to-be partner in life. You know, some times I wonder what my marriage would be like. Will it be failed? Will it be happy? Will it be stressful? Just thinking about it makes me excited, but I know that season is far longer than today.
Although I have these plans after graduation, I am not sure if it will happen because you know the time and destiny is cannot be controlled. Just like what happened two years ago. Who would thought that a virus can turned the world upside down? A virus that kills million and severely affected billion of lives. Such an exact example that life really is unpredictable. But, I will do my best to let my plans and dreams to happen and come to reality.

Calluses: This is the evidence of my hard work
We have different mindset and thinking of how we look others if they are hardworking or not. Basically, when someone is rich and wealthy, we thought that they are hard working people. People who have been used the time properly and wisely. But how about those people in the bottom, like me, or us? What's the symbolism of average and poor people being a hard working?
I still remember when I was young, since I grew up in farm I know the hard work my parents, grandparents and neighbors. Whenever they are cultivating the farm field, I noticed the hard skin in their palms. Sometimes it was big or small. It also depends on the area where it mostly used. I asked my parents about it. Why they have something like that in their hands?
They didn't answered me, but they smiled. The smile I know which has a very deep meaning. I never questioned them about callus anymore since then. However, I asked my grandparents about it. I am still a kid so I didn't understand where it comes from. All I know is about warts which I had in the very first when I was six. I didn't know where my warts came from though.
Sad reality of being a worker under the sun
If you don't know, working in the construction is very hard. You have to endure the heat which penetrates your skin. It has a high heat factor as well in our body and it really drains you inside out. I worked in the construction for a while as an extra job. My grandpa is working as on-call constructor and all-around carpenter. He has his own men as well, but sometimes if the project will need more manpower. He will contact and hired me.
As of now, I have been with my grandpa in the construction for about 4 years now. Yes, just an extra job which pays you good. PHP500 (USD9.57) per day is not bad at all. Sometimes, to finish the whole house, I will be with them for a week or two which means I can earn enough money and save it. I still remember the highest amount I earned is about PHP7500 for 15 days. However, although it pays good like this, we cannot deny the fact that they don't have government support like SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-Ibig.
It means after they retire, they will not received a pension which is truly sad. Yet, it will not happen if they will contribute as early as possible to those mentioned government mandated benefits. In addition, can you imagine how much callus they hand on their palms and feet? Have you seen one of the their hands? If you don't, then you can't understand and imagine what I am describing now. I truly wish that these people deserved recognition as well.
These are my hands after all
What you are looking now is my left hand after working in the construction. Yes, my hand is quite red and I have three calluses there. It wasn't big here, but when I woke up in the morning. It became bigger and clearer. The calluses were in my hands for a week or so. It didn't fade away unless you trim it or apply some ointments to reduce it bit by bit.
This is my right hand which is always been severely affected whenever I work in construction. Do you see the greenish yellow in the left side? That's the worst kind of callus I don't want to have. They last so long and it quite hurts. I'm so proud of myself whenever I look at to the house we build because in these little hands. There is a family waiting to set their things and created memories in the house which eventually will be called home soon.
What my professor told me
I would like to share what my professor told us before. He was our professor last semester and he was cool. I admired him very much because of his teaching consistency and ability to understand our problems. One time, he mentioned that his family's livelihood is to mine gold. Yes, the real gold. If you are thinking that they are rich, no! They are working in the mines and digging the land themselves.
It was truly a definition of hard work. They digged the land for about 15 to 20 times deeper an average human height combined. That's how deep they dig every night to excavate and get gold. At the very end, it's worth it. He said that they can earn up to PHP40,000 (USD765) every time they do that. The challenge about this is, they can't breath properly underground because they are too deep. The oxygen is very limited that's why they are rotating every hour.
You don't have to work hard if you can work wise. What I mean is, if you are working as factory worker and earning PHP373 per day. And if you can teach online earning PHP120 per hour, where do you think is better? Of course, in the online teaching. I am applying for a new job, just an extra job this summer. It's online teaching tutorial which one of my professors manage. Let's see what will happen next.

New phone! Unexpected gift from my auntie + Review
Yesterday was really so good. I started my day washing our clothes since I was the one who will do it. I am the washer of the house since I was in 10th grade. I start washing our clothes at 7 o'clock in the morning and finish it around 1 o'clock in the afternoon. My arms are quite aching because I washed some bed covers and bath towels. I really hate washing those things because whenever I am rinsing them they are so heavy.
I know some of you will prefer washing the plates or being plate attendant. But not for me. I would still prefer washing clothes than dishes. My sister didn't helped me because she was still in her online class. I think it's their final exam which they called it Quarterly Performance Task (QPT). They don't have an exam, that is their very exam. What's good thing about QPT is that students cannot cheat because the teacher and student will be in the zoom, one on one. Meaning, you have to review very well unlike answering on google forms and Microsoft word.
What happened after I washed our clothes?
It was around 1:10 pm when I read my mother's chat. She chatted me that she needed 7k PHP because she will pay our monthly sack of rice and some groceries as well. She hasn't received her paycheck so she asked me to send some. I read it late. I haven't converted my bitcoin cash yet and it will take time. So, I asked my friends especially in Noiseristificationism family. Thankfully, bro @Eunoia lend me his money from paymaya to gcash.
I would pay him via bch to bch payment. He was a money saver. Thank you bro! Anyways, after he sent the money, I transfer it to my mother's gcash account. Everything went well. I took a rest for awhile because my energy is depleting. I lay down in our hammock at the back of house. I felt refreshed, the wind was blowing my face and the wind was producing swish sound. What a lovely day!
Receiving a call from my auntie (The surprise!)
My eyes were closed and I was really starting to fall asleep when my phone rang. My eyes are quite blurry because my arms were covered by it. I reached my phone which was placed on the top of the drum. I answered her call and she talked about her gift. As you all know, I celebrated my 21st birthday on April 11. She promised me that she will buy me a new phone since my phone was used since 2018.
There's no room to contain my happiness when she said that we will go to Robinson General Trias to buy a new phone. We met exactly 2:30pm in front of Jollibee. I just smiled at her and aunt smiled back. Alright, we were looking for a budget phone. Specifically, I was looking for a budget phone which has high battery capacity, large storage including ROM and RAM, and refresh rate. I don't care much about camera really.
We roamed in the area until we found Infinix Hot 11s and Tecno Pova Neo. I made a comparison between two using PinoyTechGuide. Surprisingly, I will go for Tecno Pova Neo. Yeah, that's what I bought and I didn't regret it. This new phone is so fantastic! Why? Here's the quick review.

You want to guess the price? Oops! I will reserved it later friends. Let me tell you its top specs for me. I have been using this phone for 24 hours now and I can say it really has a good performance. Since it has 120Hz and it really lived up its spec. It is very smooth. No lagging while playing mobile legends. I opened as many applications as possible to see if where it will lag. However, I didn't experienced any of it. I drained the battery this morning and recharge it. I charge the phone from 9:38am and reached 100% on 12:34pm. It took me 3 hours to fully recharge.
Honestly, the camera is quite low compared to others, why? It is because this phone is for gaming phone. Meaning, it was developed for the sake of gamers so do not expect that the phone will have a good camera. However, it's still average. I can use to it though. So how much is this phone? We bought this at the price of Php7,990 (USD152.57). Perfect for budget phone.
This phone will be used as substitute for my laptop for a while. I have two phones now and this new one will served as my working phone. If you are looking for buying a new phone and haven't decided yet. Try to search and discover Infinix and Tecno. I am shattering inside out
I am truly glad that everyone who read my fictional story yesterday liked it. It wasn’t intentional to be scary at all. The story was meant to give some laugh and entertainment to you all. At the end of the story, I asked everyone if you would like to read a continuation of the story. And, it seems like you like to have a next chapter. So, here I am writing this blog to entertain and scare you a little bit.
Previously, Denn was invited by his friend, Patrick to go out to a club near Alpha Street. They had fun drinking alcoholic beverages and the view is ecstasy. When David went to took a pee in the bathroom, he unintentionally annoyed a group of men. The girl she was with in the bathroom has a mutual understanding in that group’s leader. Unexpectedly, he thought David was shot, but he was instead. He didn’t want to leave the earthly realm so he fled to the current forcing him to ascend.
Since he cannot entered his home to refill his energy because he was fading away. He chose his neighbour’s house, Alice. He found himself inside the cabinet because it has tremendous amount of energy that can supply and rejuvenate his soul. Before he closed his eyes, the madness and his will for revenge increased. He will hunt the man who shot him and kill him before things went wrong again.
The continuation
“No! No! I don't want to die yet. It's not happening. Let go of me, please!”. He was begging for his release. Deep down in his heart, he knew he didn't deserved it. He has many things on his mind including having a girl friend. Denn has been single for so several years. He had a flung back then, but it doesn't last long. He wanted to have a family.
“You should go with us! Your soul is dying and you must replenish it on the Other Side. Come dear!”, said by the Angel of death. Denn was so persisted, but his soul is dying. He was about to fled when the Angel of death scythe his back. “It's over!”. He had a deep grasped and he opened his eyes. It was a nightmare. A very horrible nightmare.
He got out from the cabinet he was in. He went downstairs. The loud music of the radio can be heard in the whole house. He still remembered when his father went to Alice's house because they are playing a loud music stereo in the middle of the night. His father was so mad and he knew it will be bad. However, he was surprised when his father didn't do anything bad in our neighbour.
He continued to stroll around the house. It was beautiful. The interior designs deserved recognition for he knew Alice was taking up Bachelor of Arts. Certainly, he flew from his friend's house. He wants to have a connection to his friends. However, whenever he tried to speak to Patrick, he didn't heard him. He went to David's house. David was laying down in his bed. He was texting Robert, one of his friend who was there when he was shot.
They talked about his death. David was deeply stressed out and he cannot do anything but cry over and over again. Although he wanted to tap David and says that it was okay. It wasn't his fault. But he can't. That was the time he decided to go to the bar where everything happened. It was 12 kilometers from David's house. Sure enough, being dead was a tragic, but he can slipped through things including cars and buses. No hassle at all.
There are policemen investigating the bar. He knew one of the policemen named Joseph because it was his cousin's boyfriend. He tried to communicate with him by holding the pen in the table. Joseph was sitting and gliding his feet back and forth. Denn knew Joseph had a hard time because Joseph was close friend of him. His death was probably haunting, but he needs to investigate even though he was weakening every time he saw the place.
The investigation continued for couple of months but the man who shot Denn wasn't able to find out. Everyone was worried that his death will be in vain. They thought he didn't deserved it. He was just there invited by his friend and few hours, he died without a cause. His family cannot get over. The more Denn spent his time on earthly world, he continued to grew weak. The sustenance of energy he got was not enough. In fact, it was just a substitute after all.
He carried himself towards the crime scene. He wants to remember everything before his time ends. Two weeks ago, the Angel of death warned him that he has 3 weeks two spend on earth and his soul will be forcibly removed. That was a great danger he felt so he has a week to do the investigation. Day and night, he spent his whole hours to remember the face of the man or anything related with him. The girl who he thought would help was suddenly found dead. They found the girl hanged in her room. A suicide perhaps.
He has three days left to spend on earth. But the case was not improving at all. He did everything he can to find a clue or something can help to find the man. He had lose hope. His death was just a simple, plain death without any value or cause. It was when he found a phone on the comfort room. He thought it seems weird to have a phone in here because no one entered the bar. Or perhaps it was there, and wasn't found out yet.
He opened the phone and browsed. He was like a curious guy wanting to know what's the secret of the phone's owner. He unexpectedly found videos. He watched videos one by one. Until he noticed a particular scene where the shooting happened. Yes! It was a hope and it seems it was the time to blew things up. The video showed that the man who shot him was named Alexis. Alexis Santos. However, something bugged his mind. He remembered that several years ago, Alice talked about her twin brother who lived on North. He rarely visit the town because of his business. “No, it can't be! Alice and Alexis are twins. You gotta be kidding me!”.

I had fun writing some scary and supernatural stories which happens to me in real life. It was the day of getting back of my old memories buried deep down in my brain. There are just too many scary stuffs happening right now. It maybe spiritual, elemental, physical, but we cannot deny the fact that there's a hidden war happening right now.

My friends and I had a casual get-together in the nearest bar in our area. They kept bugging me for so many days because I wasn't able to come with them during Patrick's debut. Yes, Patrick celebrated his 21st birthday last two weeks ago and I wasn't there. I didn't chose not to be there, it was just I had an personal emergency that needs my presence.
I applied for the scholarship that I was kept looking out for so many months. Finally, when Mayor Abaton opened the registration for the scholarship, I did not hesitate to go to. I just wanna get this scholarship because it will give me enough money to add funds for buying my laptop. Yeah, the laptop that I am dreaming of. My old one's just broke couple of months ago. Unfortunately, since my mind was very occupied because of this, I forgot that Patrick invited me to attend his birthday.
But, if ever I will attend to his party. I will lose my opportunity to get this scholarship. It was a dilemma in that time. I considered myself first, my needs in fact. He is my friend, but I know he will understand my situation. I message him that I cannot attend his party, and he is mad. Although he said okay, but I can feel it- his madness. I was his first friend, best friend. We met in 2nd grade, talked, played and even had slept in both of our rooms back then. So, I knew he was mad at me.
When the opportunity came, Patrick invited me again to go to club and have some fun. Just a little shots and dances. I had no choice. I have to do it to ease his anger to me. We were walking in the sideways of the Alpha Street where car owners usually parked their car when we saw a couple making love. David opened his phone and video them. I said stop and don't mind them.
“Bro, it's freaking live show! Just enjoy and lemme video the fun, alright?”. He said with a smirk in his face.
“No! Stop it! David stop filming them, they might saw you. Let's just go to the club. Let's head inside.”, I said in calm, but loud voice.
Patrick convinced him enough and we headed inside. “Dear me!”. Those are the phrase that came out in my mouth. I was startled looking out to those girls dancing in the pole. She was hot. I never saw that kind of performance ever. Well, I might enjoy myself here. We drank several whiskey and vodka in our table. Girls are just waving and flexing their body in front of us.
So, I thought it was a good night for everybody. Yeah, I felt great and happy with them. But there's an unexpected situation happened that shocked everyone. David went to the bathroom to pee, and I noticed that there's a woman who followed him. “You gotta be kidding me, David! He will making love here?”. Thoughts that kept running in my mind. I don’t want any of us to make love here because that's against the bro codes. We will only do it until we find a woman and marry her. Then, you can make love you want. Basically, virginity is everything.
David went out from the bathroom. I waved my hand because he seems confused where we at. He smiled at me and walked towards our table. A few minutes after David sat down. A group of men who looked very annoyed especially in the middle.
“You messed up with my girl, huh?”, said by the man in the middle. Obviously, he was talking to David who just got back in our table. David stood up and confront the man. “I don't remember you owned any of these girls. So why don't you leave us alone and enjoy the night.” David said it.
The man and his group was about to leave. I thought they will leave us for good, but few seconds later. He brought out something in his pocket and say “Enjoy your little shitty night.” The loud bang was heard in the dark, powerful and ethereal room. I thought he shot David because he pointed the gun with him.
However, I felt like something itchy in my chest. I cannot breath properly. It was a very weird feeling because I am drunk yet. I was totally okay few moments ago. “Denn, you are bleeding! You are shot?” I was freaking out when I saw the blood running in my shirt. I had bloof phobia and I cannot withstood it too. The pain is surreal and my breath was totally out of the line now.
My sight was spinning like I was hallucinating. I watched several movies where an actor was shot and his sights are just like this. I felt like I was in the movie, but no. It was real. It was happening. The man and his group who shot me ran. They fled immediately when they realized someone had shot their gun.
I cannot bear the pain anymore. I was losing my consciousness and finally I breathed my last. But something was pulling me. Something so strong like a current in the water. “No! This cannot be happening. I want to live more. I have family to support too. How about my scholarship? My academics? No!”. I fled away from the strong current who was pulling me out. I reached our home, but I cannot enter. There was a wall blocking me to get inside. I have to rest and find something to rest upon. My soul needs to consume energy of any tool which contains great attachments.
I went to Alice's house, our neighbour for 20 years. I thought I cannot go inside, but I was here now. Wondering in her grandmother's room. “Yes! This cabinet will do. It has great energy than any things in this room”. So, I rest there and before I closed my eyes. One thing is on my mind. I will hunt and kill whoever shot me. “I will find you until the ends of the world, b*tch!”.

My fever: Is it because of dwarves?
As part of the continuation of my adventure back then. There are a lot of superstitious our elders, parents and grandparents told us. My grandparents especially my grandpa used to share about his experiences in his childhood. He lived in the farm for several decades with his parents which is my grand grandparents. Anyway, as what I have said in my previous article above. There is a big mango tree standing alone and it was in the path before you turn in our street. Meaning, you wil have to pass through it before you reach our home.
My lolo used to say that mango tree has elemental beings living there. He said that he saw a **tikbalang** (half human and half horse). Tikbalang is myth creature which has living in that tree for so long. It's way older than my lolo because befoe he was born, that tree is already existing. Alright, aside from tikbalang, he saw the creature what you called **kapre**. Kapre is a creature with strong body odor and it always smoke.
HI know it's very unbelievable because who believed in this kind of creature nowadays right? My fellow Filipinos knew these creatures very well. Whenever, I walked by and passing through that mango tree. I cannot help myself but to look above. Why? It is because I was hoping that someday I may see them as well. But my fantasy about these creatures never ends.
One afternoon around 4:30 o'clock, I was walking with my parents on the way our home, then suddenly I want to pee. I told my mother that I will pee just in the corner and they should go. I am not afraid because I know the sun is still up and my parents are on sight. I release what should I release in there. After that, I ran to my parents because I don't want to be left behind. There are several cows and those cows can reach the path we are walking. Although I am used to see those cows everyday, but when they try to run towards me. I will run as fast as I can until they cannot reach me.
Two days later, it was Saturday and I felt weird in my body. I was cold, but it was summer so it's definitely hot. My body is feeling cold although there's no air to touch my skin. It was before we eat our dinner that I am already shaking because I cannot hold on to it anymore. They are so curious about what's happening to me because my father and grandpa are topless. Why? Because it's hot right. So why I am feeling cold?
After I finished eating my meal, I go inside our house and lay on my bed. My mother covered me with jacket and assisted me to wipe my body using towel with cold water. It is to ease my body temperature because it was rising so fast. Several minutes had past when my mother stopped wiping me. She checked my body temperature with thermometer and it went down a bit.
I felt okay that night. Actually, I slept really well. In the morning, my fever was gone and I'm not feeling cold as well. So, I thought I was really okay and fine. However, when it reached before our dinner. I started to feeling cold again. My body is shaking and I felt like there's a wind inside my jacket. I was covered with jogging pants and jacket so there's no way an air will come from outside. That's when my lola asked me if I did something wrong in the mango tree.
I said no. I didn't do anything wrong. In fact, I am avoiding it as much as possible. However, I remembered that I peed near the tree. So, I immediately tell it to my lola and she quickly prepared some incense to burn. If am not wrong, she used some charcoal, incese, and dried palm tree. When it started to burn, there's a lot of smoke coming out from it and my lola placed me in the middle of it. She said that it was to protect me from the curse of the dwarfs living there. Also, we have to give an offering as a sign of apology.
When the sunrise comes, we went to the tree and left the chicken there. We also add some fruits like banana and guava. You know what, you may not believe me but when it reaches the time before our dinner. I didn't feeling cold anymore. I didn't drink any medicine or medicinal herbs back then. Meaning, I did really might angry the dwarves because I peed in their territory.
As crazy as it sounds like to those people who lived in the city, but it happened to me in real life, several times. I didn't believed in some creatures, but when it comes to dwarves. Oh gosh, I will not hesitate that to say yes. I believe to those little creatures. They are not fantasy. They are existing. And they might living around the corner hunting you next.

The boy trapped inside the refrigerator
Natural calamities have been hitting us and it continues every month. Recently, typhoon Agaton hit the Eastern Visayas and Northeastern portion of Mindanao. One of the cities received heavy damage is Baybay City, Leyte. The whole city has severely affected due to heavy flash floods and landslides. Watching the news about the affected family really hurts.
I read some articles related on the typhoon. We know that some of the users here are also severely affected by the typhoon Agaton. They wrote and published how are they and what they did during the storm. It is heart-breaking to read that some of them struggled because it is the first time their area was flooded. But let met tell you a unique story of a boy who survived the landslide.
According to U.S Global Survey, landslide is defined as the movement of rock, debris, or earth down a slope. Meaning, it is an event when the rock or debris falls down and surely whatever kind of things below will be covered by it. The slope movement has five movements. They are falls, topples, slides, flows and spreads. It is very dangerous if the landslide happened when there are various houses below. This will be creating indefinite casualties to the families and their livelihoods.
**The boy was found inside the refrigerator**
In the busy days of retrieving dead bodies of Philippine Coast Guard due to the fact that many people was dead and missing. They kept trying and trying to save and seek as many people as possible. There are families trapped in their house because they didn’t expected that the water will soar high. In their case, they have no choice but to stay at the top of their roofs and wait for help.
In the middle of body retrieval of PCG, they found a refrigerator. They retrieved many tools and appliances, but this is one is quite heavy. The refrigerator is closed so there will be no mud or water inside. When they opened it, a big surprised is waiting for them. They found a child boy inside. It was wasn’t named yet and hasn’t been confirmed what the child’s name is.
The child spoke for the very first time and he said, “Gutom ko kuya” or “I am hungry brother” translated in English. The boy was stocked inside the refrigerator with no concrete days. SF02 Romulo G. Mascarinas, one of the personnel assigned to take care of the boy asked if where’s his parents. The boy answered “Ako na lang, wala na koy kauban” or “It’s just me, I don’t have anyone with me” translated in English.
Based on the report of Baybay City Fire Station – Northern Leyte, the boy lost his parents during the landslide. It was unfortunate event to lose both of your parents at the same day. The boy’s village was covered with thick due to flash floods. Although, the boy was happy because he is alive and recovered from the flash floods, but he was mourning from the passing of his parents.
**Incidents, Damages, and Lifelines (Statistics)**
Based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), there are 407 flooded areas in the whole regions of Visayas and Mindanao. In addition, there are 6 flash floods and 43 rain-induced landslides. Meaning, what we saw and read about the incidents happened because of Typhoon Agaton is much wider than we thought.
I am truly sad that there are about 237,864 families affected or 688,539 persons. Can you imagine how many people are severely affected and some of these family loses their homes and worst, family member(s). There are about 1,129 barangays in Region 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12 CARAGA, BARMM, and CAR that was affected of the said typhoon. Unfortunately, 44 are dead, 8 missing and 8 injured based on the latest report.
As per the report, there are a total of 69 cities/municipalities who experienced power outage and we know some of users here experienced it as well. Thankfully, there are some cities which have had power restored already. Such a huge mess the typhoon left in our country. It was truly heart-breaking to see that every storms there are families wailing and mourning because someone died. All of these are natural disasters, but went extreme because of climate change.
I hope we took an inspiration about the boy who found on the refrigerator that survival is what we need the most. In order to survive, we must take care of our environment now. You are not the only one who will be affected, but your family, friends, and relatives. Everyone will be affected. At last, I was happy for that boy because he had a high instinct to go inside the refrigerator and locked himself so that he would not die because of mud and water. It is still a wonder how he survive without enough food and oxygen inside it. Let’s just say that it is not his time yet. Truly, the Lord is an amazing and merciful God.

My crazy little adventure night
I lived in the countryside for several years. It was the most exciting and genuine experiences I ever had. I had fun playing various recreational activities in farm. I often played with my pet named Polaris. I named him Polaris because of my love for astronomy. Polaris and I usually walked around the woods for our morning routine exercises. He eagerly ran back and forth then wait for me because he’s quite fast.
“Polaris, wait for me! I don’t want to run. You see I’m jogging!”.
He stopped and bark at me three times. “woof, woof, woof!”.
He stayed in his position for several seconds. I stopped for a second and paused the music in Spotify. I heard something talking to me that’s why I paused the music. I thought someone is behind me to ask something. However, there is no one around. Maybe, it’s just my mind is cloudy of words.
We continued to jog until we reached the big Acacia tree in the northern part of the Paranaque. Paranaque is not what you are thinking in the city in NCR. It is not. It is a place here in our area wherein you can found so many old trees. Sometimes my father used to bring me with him to picked up some fruits like mango, star apple, Chico and duhat. Although these are seasonal to bear fruits, but without a doubt when they are starting to becoming fruitful. There are plenty to harvest.
I sat down to one of the big roots of the Acacia tree because I felt so tired. I drank the water from the bottle I held. It is very refreshing to do this in the early morning because you will just sweat a lot and you will feel like so connected to environment. I looked up and notice something is wrong. There is a moving object between the two branches. As I thought, there is a snake. I didn’t noticed it at first because it camouflage in the color of the tree.
“I should get out of here!”. I moved back, but my whole focus is in the snake. It’s going down gradually. I am afraid that it suddenly jumped and bite me. “Polaris come!”, I said to my dog. Polaris got up and licked my hand. “Alright, good boy!”.
All I thought the snake would get down from the tree, but the snake went into a hole. Yes, the snake was probably done hunting a bird’s nest above and decided to sleep in its house. I went back to our home. Actually, snakes, wild birds like owl, native pig is what you can usually around the area.
If you encountered them, just don’t mind them as what my father says. They believed that they are pets of dwarfs and other elemental beings below. Of course, there’s nothing wrong if you follow that belief. It will not take a toll to me anyways. It was just sometimes their superstition and beliefs are too far from reality. What I can say, we’re Filipinos.
One time, my friend Justin invited us to have a dinner in their home. He was celebrating his 12th birthday which I know I will be going home late. I text my mother that I will go to Justin’s house. I am not afraid because they will yell at me when I didn’t informed them. I am afraid because of the huge mango tree in our street before you turn towards our home.
As much as possible, I don’t want to get home late because there is no light there. You all know that we don’t have electricity back then. So, absolute darkness or sometimes the moon is our source of light aside from our flashlights. I was full eating too many dishes like spaghetti, lumpiang shanghai, puto, maja and cake. It’s 7pm when the whole class decided to go home.
Walking in the farm field is fun when it is daylight. However, when the darkness swallowed and covered the whole field. It gave me chills. I turn on my flashlight in my phone. Although it was enough for me to see the path I was walking too. Then, when I reached the huge mango tree. It stand alone there. The whole horror story my father and grandfather used to tell before flashback in my memories.
“Why in all times, I will remember those creepy stories they told me?”, I murmured in the wind. One thing occupied my mind. It was to reach our home in an instant. My body automatically ran without a second thought. I didn’t want to see something I shouldn’t see.
In the middle of running, there’s a cow laying down in my path. You know the farm field was newly cultivated meaning its muddy. “Glorious heaven why is there a cow in the path tonight?”. It was the cow my grandpa is raising. I turned back and find the nearest available path which is the side of farm field. I didn’t ran because I might trip or slip my foot.
I reached home safely. I was catching my breath because I ran and my nervousness. I really regretted to accept Justin’s invitation. I should have said that my mother didn’t permitted me so that I will not went through I had that night. I changed my clothes and rest. This crazy adventure of mine was just the beginning.

Heart to heart talk with my auntie: Her marriage is about to fail
Yesterday was filled with love and laugh. My aunties and uncles visited us because they want to have a small reunion. This reunion always happened every Thursday of the holy week. It was a tradition. They came here with lots of food and gift. I don’t get why they have gifts and give it to us. Maybe they felt like giving. Anyways, I am truly grateful to what I received yesterday. I did not expect it.
I was busy writing an article yesterday in front of our house. In the middle of my writing, my aunt sat down beside me. I thought she was just there to get some air because its quite hot inside. She started to talk about my uncle. Alright, my uncle and my mother are siblings. Meaning, she is my aunt and everything she said was a revelation about what’s really going on in their family.
Just a short background and history. I really envy their family because to all of my aunt’s and uncle’s, they are the richest and seemingly perfect family. However, what I saw is just a shade outside of their family’s shadow. I envy their children which is my cousins because they can get whatever they want. Their eldest son is one year older than me. I respected and adored him. He is handsome, I admit that. He is good at math, it’s true. He is in a good body shape, it’s a fact.
All I thought ever since I was young is that they are the good model family. The family I want to have and to be with. However, it changed drastically after I heard what’s the struggle of their family. My aunt smiled at me and he asked me how I am. Of course, I narrated how’s my week and my exam’s results. It’s fantastic because I almost perfect all of my exams. I continued my storytelling until I ran out of words. She’s still smiling and enjoying what she was hearing.
“That’s good to hear about you Denn! You seem satisfied and happy. I know you will reach your dream soon and you will make us proud”, she said.
You know what I was just stunned and my heart is flattered. I never thought that I would hear something like that from my aunt. In fact, that aunt of mine is quite serious and has this intimidating aura. She’s my least favourite aunt of all. To hear those words from her is mind-blowing. Of course, I smiled back and asked her the same question right away. Then that is the start of our heart to heart talk.
When she found out my uncle is cheating
In previous years, I had a hint that her husband which is my uncle has doing something wrong. Meaning, he has something addicted to. The first thing she shared about me is about how she caught my uncle having an affair. Although, I knew that before but I didn’t know the whole story and what exactly happened. She narrated that she had this feeling, a women’s instinct that kept bugging to spy my uncle. And she did. My uncle went to a private resort in Laguna. He told my aunt that it is only for work, a business meeting or sort. My aunt stayed in the resort and after two hours of waiting. The scene she don’t want to happen, happened. She saw my uncle hug and kiss the girl. As much as she wanted to confront my uncle, she retreated. But she took some photos and videos.
When my uncle went home later night, she confronted him right away with kids asleep. My uncle fabricated a story and until she showed the photos and videos. My uncle cannot speak and deny it. That’s how their family started to have crack. I believe I was only 9 or 10 years old when the cheating happened.
My uncle's casino addiction
The second trial in their marriage was when my uncle started addicting to casino. Although he’s winning at first but kept loosing at the end. My uncle won’t stop playing in the casino until she seek help to my grandparents. My grandpa educated him with good words as my aunt said. Grandpa kept telling that if he still continued that wrongdoing he will banish in the family for good. Thankfully, my uncle stopped visiting and playing in the casino.
The drug addiction
However, years had passed my aunt told me that my uncle started to loose weight. She thought that maybe he is sick or something. She asked my uncle to go with her in the hospital for check up but my uncle always decline. Until she found out that my uncle is trying the illegal drug. Of course, you know what kind of drug it is. That’s the struggle that lasts for about 3 years. It started on year 2019, and as of today fortunately my uncle stopped and recovering.
As I listened to her, my heart felt a sudden pain. A pain that came from out of nowhere. It is shocking! I was shocked in the whole story. That’s a story that I do not know until she opened it to me. She said that she did it because she don’t want me to do the same thing as what my uncle did. She kept educating her kids, my cousins about what’s the struggle of their family.
In the end of our conversation, she told me to pursue my dreams whatever happens. Just continue studying and work wise after. She advised me if ever I will get married, you have to be prepared to change and learn to forgive. It is because at the end of the day, she and my uncle is husband and wife in the eye of God and man’s law. They swore an oath and it is valid until lifetime.

Class Pictures: Do you still remember your former classmates?
It’s been a very long time when since we had a class picture. Class picture is the most treasure photo of every student because that is the only thing that we can remember from our former classmates on pre-school, elementary and high school. Do college students have class pictures as well? I don’t think so because we never had one. How much I missed my classmates who I have spent with through thick and thin.
I know there are funny and unforgettable memories behind our class pictures. Can we just reminiscence in my article today about how we created our class pictures. Class pictures are often the memories we had left during our student days. They are not just a photo, but a concrete memory of the past. Well, I cannot believe that I’m a college student now. I feel like I was just a high school student yesterday.
**Before taking class picture (different scene)**
When the teacher announced that the class will be having a picture taking and the whole class will start murmuring and chatting. Some students are starting to prepare their makeup, lipstick, Johnson’s white powder and their cologne. I don’t know why girls usually put a lot of lip gloss and eye liner. In fact, it is just a class picture.
I get it that we have to present ourselves properly and must be appealing to others. In high school, we don’t want to receive negative comments about our looks. We are easily get swayed by negativity because in high school phase, we are very curious and sensitive. We are exploring so many things because that’s how we are during those days. I still remember that most of my classmates before class picture taking. They are wearing their best uniform just for that. Can you imagine that they are doing their very effort for a single photo? Really something else.
**During taking class picture**
Every time we had a class picture taking, we always tend to look forward to what place we were in the photo. I am quite tall so in evey class picture, I am in the back. I cannot blame the photographer because he wants a balance in the picture. It should be looking great. Anyways, as the class picture taking started we will have the formal one. Everyone will just stand straight and face an emotionless face. Blank face to be exact.
I have an epic fail experience during my 3rd year in high school. When we are getting off from the stage because that is the usual place for the background of class picture. My shoes fell because I thought there is another chair in front. What happened is that I fell a bit and the two chairs flew away. So the chairs became disarray. I never forget it because there is a photo on it on Facebook. The photographer had one shot of it and he exclusively uploaded it. Gosh!
Some of my class pictures
This class photo was taken on 2017 when I was in 10th grade. One of the most memorable thing happened back then was when I baked a three-layered cake. The three-layered cake was made of different flavor. I remember that I found difficult on making its icing design and frosting. If you don't know, my specialization on high school is food technology which is based on vocational courses.
Our adviser is Ms. Sarmiento and she is sweet, lovely, and bubly personality. We called her Mam Bebe. We just called her that when it was private. Hehe. Because when other teacher heard about it, they might find it disrespectful or something. I am in the last row in the right side corner of the photo. Count three heads from the left and that is me. Sorry the photo is quite blurry due to my phone's camera.
I am so proud in this photo. Why? Because finally I made it to enter the star section among the section in the overall grade level. Meaning, the students who entered the star section are the who excell in their academics. Every year, after the fourth grading, the top 10 students per sections will take an exam to determined who will be listed for the star section in the following school year.
At last, after taking an exam yearly, I got in. I still remember that we have 17 sections on the 5th grade so if every section has 10 students multiply by 17. The total product is 170 students. And the students for the star section only has 35. That is fixed. That's why when I saw my name before the brigada skwela. Gosh, I'm so happy and proud at the very least I entered even once. My total score back then is around 480 which I placed 26th. Haha. 26 over 170. Not bad.
This is just an extra photo I got when I was in 10th grade. They are my closed friends back then, but only few stayed with me. They are good friends, I can assure that. What I missed about in high school is that my laugh is not filtered. I mean, it's not fake and it is genuine. Unlike now, since we're young adults, you are very selective to friends because you know they will not stay with you until the end.
I really have fun creating this article because I saw a lot of pictures taken back then and I remembered what high school days are like. If I will compare high school and college life, I would prefer high school. It's fun, no thesis, less projects and no professors who will just give you a low and unsatisfactory grade. I was chosen as watcher for incoming election
Today, I was riding a buss going to Kawit, Cavite to attend the summon of meeting because I am selected as watcher for the incoming election this May. I am quite scared and nervous because I have no experience in this kind of agenda. My uncle listed me because he knew that I will not reject it. In addition, I am in need of money to buy my new laptop for the old one is already broken.
I was quite sleepy because I had a poor and little sleep last night. I finished three of my midterm examinations yesterday. My brain is tired reviewing and answering them for the whole day. Although our exam has multiple choices, but identifications and essays are the dominant one. I cannot believe myself that I was able to answer three at once yesterday. Anyways, I am in hurry to finished them all because we have parties and little reunion this incoming days.
To be honest, I have no idea about what will be discussed in the meeting later. I think it will be focusing about how we will watch and oversee the crowd since we are expecting that many will come during that day. You know, many will ask questions about where are their precincts and rooms. We cannot avoid to ask especially when you don’t know the process. Speaking of process, I think there will be new process since we undergone pandemic. Many changes are expected to happen, right?
**I am a first time voter**
I feel suffocated in my face mask because its quite tight in my ear and nose. Addition to that, the air is quite dirty and polluted because buses are producing black smoke. Anyways, as I was saying I am a first time voter. I do not know what exactly is going inside during voting. I was brought by my parents every voting days, but I only stay outside.
I feel excited and nervous because it means I am finally voting. I can finally vote people who I think is deserving and right for their position. With the loud voices and screams of people inside social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Twitter. Many people are confused. Confused to who to vote. Every politicians have their own dirt and misdeeds. So you know, accept the fact that they are not perfect and we can understand each other.
Aside from it, I am excited to have an ink in my nail. I feel like weird about dreaming to be inked by that and posed it. For me it is a symbol that I am verified and official citizen of our country. Every tainted nail from ink holds a power. The power to transform our country and have a better change. Although it will take time but I believe, we believe we will have that change. And that change starts when you vote wisely. We will vote wisely!
**My expectation this incoming election**
Many of us seek changes and innovation for our beloved country. The bridge to happen that is through election. I have a great expectation this incoming election because as we all know the competition and proclamation rally is loud. We can hear, watch and read their proclamation rally every time they do it in a specific city.
As the group of politicians conducted their proclamation rally and posted it on Facebook. Supporters will make noise about it. React, comment and share it on their walls without knowing what’s really happening during that proclamation. I believe that it’s more important to listen than to view their photos online. You know to know them better every time they presented themselves in the stage. You might not know that their agenda are changing in every city they went to.

How Internet of Things Respond to Pandemic: Chinese Secret
Have you ever heard the phrase Internet of Things or IoT in short? Let me enlighten you about the Iot and how it plays a crucial role on how medical providers and hospitals fight the COVID-19 pandemic. You will be surprised until the end.
The groundbreaking news of the decade has been heard throughout the entire world. It shook the world and turned it upside-down due to a virus. This virus is **Novel Severe Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 or in short COVID-19.** The virus spread out through most of the countries and our lives has been severely damaged. We cannot deny the fact the existence of IoT played a crucial role in responding and fighting COVID-19 pandemic. Meaning, the harmonic balance of technology helps to improved the medical field and its underlings.
There are three known phases of COVID-19 response. They are early diagnosis, quarantine time and after recovery. From these phases, many procedures, tools, equipment, and man power are needed and used. The early diagnosis is about the taking the patients vitals and is subjected for various tests. In the early visitation of COVID-19 back then, doctors haven’t had an enough data and information on how to respond correctly. Since patients are coming by and increasing in such a huge number, they have no time to prepare and examine everyone.
There are symptomatic, asymptomatic and pre-asymptomatic. Since not everyone are capable of going to hospital to checkup due to financial insufficiency and fear. Telemedicine have been made possible and developed later on. Meaning, from various laboratories available in every city can connect to hospital, medical practices, and other health facilities with remote patients. They can transmit data faster and can give an appropriate medication.
Secondly, after the patient has been diagnosed and was assigned for its appropriate category based on how bad the condition is. It is time for quarantine time. IoT allows the monitoring system to be more accurate in its real-time result. Patient can used tracking wearable band to make sure that his/her is on check. In addition, during quarantine period disinfection is what matters too. There are disinfecting devices that allows to kill the virus in the air such as EcoloxTech that cleans the air we inhale.
Third, the last phase would be after recovery. The time you get your result as negative from virus, it is time for you to go home and bond with your family. However, you have to be very careful for instances like to transmit and get the virus again from others. Your body is still vulnerable and can be diagnosed for the second time.
Unlike the previous decades of known viruses, COVID-19 is more deadly and has variants as well. It evolved to various variants such as alpha, beta, gamma and delta. Among these variants, delta can spread faster than other variants. Thankfully, we can trace possible COVID-19 infected people via contract tracing. Contract tracing has been hard in the early days but became easy as smart contract tracing applications are developed. We know how much important it is to locate the people who have been possibly infected to contain and minimize the spread of the virus in the community. The emerging responses of patients, healthcare providers and authorities are highly recommended. It is no longer about yourself, but your family as well.
We cannot allow any damages and infections to our family members as we know the hardship and battle during quarantine time. As what I have said earlier, tele medicine plays a crucial role in pandemic response. The tele medicine equipment’s are more reliable and examine the patient outcomes accurately. Thus, it has the power of real-time remote monitoring system which allows the computer to show the exact health condition of one’s patient. To sum it up, internet of things provided us an equitable and reliable technology that gave humans to project the health condition faster and properly.
How Chinese fought the COVID-19 faster than any country?
Chinese scientists and developers developed the Internet of Things robot or IoT Robot. What this robot does? These robots are the one who disinfect the entire hospital particularly to places where the COVID-19 patients are quarantined. Unlike in other countries like Philippines, humans are the one who disinfect quarantine rooms which is very risky and to those unfortunate ones. They get the virus. In addition, these robots are the one who are delivering the medicines and look for patients temperature. See? In that way, doctors and nurses are not prone to virus. They can get data via robots that's why only few doctors in China got the virus unlike in the Philippines that many has diagnosed and some died.
The sooner the patient is diagnosed, the better the spread of the virus can be controlled.

Celebrating my 21st birthday with a cause
I just wanna thank the Lord for allowing me to live another year. It has been a roller coaster experiences and emotions last year until now. I am feeling emotional right now as I am writing thia blog. Actually, we don't have much foods to prepare today. I asked my parents not cook plenty of dishes because I do not invite any persons including my friends, relatives and neighbour friends. I felt like I need to focus on what's really I need.
If you noticed, I sometimes wrote about my laptop story. My laptop broke last February if I remember it correctly. It accidentally fell from my drawer because my sister is getting something from above. The power button and right side of the laptop received the most of the damage. I tried to open it and it opened. However, the screen was quite blurry and some parts have glitches as well. In addition, I am very afraid that it would spark when I am using it because the power button was damaged.
I would like to raise a fund for my laptop since today is also my birthday. This is what my article is all about. I am sincerely asking everyone to fund me to buy a new laptop. You know, it may be just a material thing, but it will help me tremendously for my school. I am expecting that we will have a thesis or project development related to games, website or an application soon. What I mean soon is that in our midyear semester. The fund I will be collected today is solely for my laptop. I am really nervous that I still don't have a laptop or pc to use because the laboratory will come very soon. Very soon! This will be greatly affected my academic performances especially to my major subjects.
I published an article related to our finances. I know some of you had read it before and I jot down my parents income monthly. It is barely enough. Basically, they can give me money monthly for the laptop fund, but the money is too small. I projected that if they continue to give me money, it will take at least 6-7 months to buy. But our midyear semester is month and a half from today. That's why I am very stressful lately. Although I am earning in this platform, but it is still insufficient for the time frame I need to buy.

Palm Sunday celebration
My phone rang loudly and my sleep was cut off. I set an alarm yesterday night because we will go to church for the Palm Sunday celebration. My body was still stiff, and don't want to get up from the bed. When my sister banged me with soft pillow, that's the time I finally got up and fix myself. I went to comfort room to release what should be released. My eyes are rolling and I feel like I was drugged or something.
Then when I was back to myself and I remembered something that I do last night. Yeah, I helped my sister to do her book project. I was the one who listed the chapter and its name. It was just a small book that she was working with. I forgot what subject it was requiered to pass this since she waa currently at her senior year in high school. My brain is super drained due to overused last night.
While I was reading some articles, I was helping her as well in that book. I do not know how I did that but one thing is for certain. I am still tired and uncharged. My energy is still drained but I have to accompany my family today. We ate our meal for breakfast to sustain our body with some nutritious foods. I ate oatmeal and four slicd of bread. If you didn't know, I am not eating rice in the morning. That is a culture in the family and I used to it already.
One by one, we bathed and clothed ourselves. My father is so impatient so we have to fixed ourselves fast. You shouldn't used your phone unless you already are good to go. I was outside when I was writing this article. The roosters are still singing their sunrise song. Damn! They are just too harmonic and I cannot focused on writing. In addition, I think one of the hen are about to lay egg that's why it is quite noisy.
I have another sad news to tell. Our chicks have been dying lately. I think it's due to sudden shift of weather. Their body cannot handle and they grew weak daily. I noticed that whenever it is summer, we found it difficult to raise chickens because they are dying. After a couple of weeks, they will have sign of smallpox. Is that the righ term? I don't know. Anyways, the sunrise is what I am seeing right now. How wonderful to witness it once again because I am not to recently.
I stood up and headed outside because we are about to go. We are using our tricycle to go to church. My youngest sister hugged me and when she suddenly stepped in my foot nails. I am just wearing a sandal so I really feel it. In fact, I pedicure my foot nails last April 8. It hurts a bit. I fixed my compusure then hop in to out tricycle. We are ready to go. I am seeing a lot of people in church today. They are happy that finally we no longer celebrated it online.
You know for the past two years, palm service is held online via Facebook or YouTube. Although it's good to watch it but the presence is what I am longing for. The unique smell of church. The abundance presence of crowd people. The food stalls beside the church that you can found popcorn, rice cake, souvenirs and palm branches in different design. I bet you missed it too right?
I cannot recall how many celebrations Christians have as of today. One of the biggest celebrations of Christian is what we call Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is celebrated before the Easter Sunday. Meaning, it is the official start of holy week. I am very excited to what the holy week will bring this year. Since the past two years of holy week are quite sad and horrible. I am looking forward that this year will be a good one for all of us.
We finished the mass and headed to my grandparents house. We visited them because my parents haven't been there for couple of weeks. I was there lately so I didn't missed it much. We brought some palm branches and bibingka. Hands down to special bibingka selling 20 meters away from the church. It was so good. As far as I know, the food stall has been there since 1998. How did I say so? It is because there is a signage below their logo stated that est1998. Haha.
Anyways, we stayed there for about 3 hours and left. We were now at home and I am resting in our hammock at the back of our house. I was just resting a bit because later on, I will answer the midterm exam. Yeah, our midterm is an essay type so my teacher bet we can submit it until Tuesday. Oho, there is an Indian mango fell from our tree. I checked it and it was already ripe that's why it fell in the ground. I don't want to mango today because I ate too many these past few days with bagoong.
So I would like to make this day a rest day for myself. I want to lay down and watch some series. We deserved to rest just for a day. There will be another whole new week tomorrow so let's forget the school, work and anything you should do on Monday. Just chill today. Blessed Sunday to everyone.

Snake in the bathroom
Yesterday evening, I was very busy doing my school work in Canva. Most of the time we have a lot of posters, infographics and brochures to do. In that way, our creativity can be enhanced. In fact, although I am not that kind of creative but I am definitely sure that I already tried most of Canva's feature. I remember last November, my I subscribed to Canva premium account and it lasted only for two months.
It wasn't lasted long because I just wanted to explore because there are tools and photos that I need to use. In the span of two months, I used Canva all day long. Then, I realized what's the huge difference between the common and premium account in Canva. Actually, if you really don't explore it much you will never know how big and flexible the program is.
I stopped my subscription because I think its doable and I can replace the features I needed for Canva's feature. Yes, if you only explore it a little bit and the exact keyword you need for elements. Then you will create a fantastic output that you will be surprised to. As of today, I used Canva for 5 months already. What I realized about it is that be creative and at the same time be simple. Simple in the sense of you don't exaggerated your design and it will look like a mess.
As I was editing in Canva, I felt like my tummy became hungry. I went to our kitchen and grabbed what food I want to eat. Usually, just a bottle of cold water and biscuits. Enough to ease my hunger. I went back to my room and work to edit again. It was amazing that by using Canva I no longer need PowerPoint application because in Canva its much better and lots of feature. It doesn't take long for me to design the world presentation because all I need is there.
My sister asked me if I can be her guest in her documentary. It is her school project in journalism. She has to interview someone in her family and create about his/her life. Actually, I was very hesitant because I felt shy doing that. The video will be watched by her teachers and co-journalists. As a person, I cannot stand others to watch me in the video. I don't know why. It feels weird.
Anyways, as the night went deeper. My hands became stiff and I felt like my back is aching so much. I stand for a seconds and perform some stretching to ease the pain. Gosh, I heard the cracks and the sound is very concerning but on the other hand, it feels good. I jumped 10 times to make myself alive quite a bit. I stretched my arms and legs because I feel like leg cramps will happen anytime soon.
I chatted some online friends to asked them how are they. I feel joy that they still remember me because I remember most of them. Then, I reviewed some of my notes because next week will be our midterm examination. This will be a hectic and hard day as holy week will start. After few minutes, my body needs to pee. I feel like my bladder holds 1 liter of water. I ran to our comfort room immediately.
I opened the door and let the urine out. It feels good. I emptied the urine inside me, but I noticed something moving behind the pail. I thought it was just the shadow of the pail's holde because I moved it. Yet, when I checked it I was surprised to see that it is a snake. The snake moved so fast and I immediately stepped up to our bowl. The snake moved towards the bowl, and I feel nervous. I still hold the dipper (tabo) and it has a litlle water as well.
I showed the water to the snake crawling towards me. It stopped for a second and it crawled towards the hole in our comfort rooms's drainage. Oh, I see where it came from. I noticed that our drainage hole was opened. I think the force it to open. As far as I remember the snake is quite longer than the ruler so it must be longer than 12 inches. It has a width almost the same size alike to marker. The color is black which I am afraid of. It means the snake is venomous. I didn't confirmed what kind of snake it is because the situation ended quick and I panicked as well.
When the snake finally gone, I poured all the water in our pail to the hole just to make sure that it is gone. I filled the pail and poured water again. I did it three time because to know that the snake goes with the water too. I clipped back the flange to the drainage opening and I made sure that it will not be open by the snake again. That was very unexpected. My sleepiness went gone and my heartbeat went fast. Thankfully, I wasn't bitten or anything. I am so thankful that I saw it first than my little sisters because I know they will shout as loud as they can and might do something stupid and lead to danger.
I cannot attached any real photo because I haven't had any phone that time and I will definitely not use it that time. I found out this morning that the snake is called black rat snake. It is non-venomous snake so it's fine if I ever was bitten. Be careful everyone.

The bird who can't fly
The world's creation is indeed fantastic and amusing. There are varieties of species in animal kingdom, plants and flowers, humans and elements. Aside from this astonishing creations, we see ourselves the dominator of this world. As I thoroughly researching about my topic for today. I accidently clicked my saved videos on Facebook. In fact, I have saved many of movie links and posts. As I scrolled up and down, I saw an intersting video that it's worth to share.
This article is about a bird who can't fly. It cannot fly not because it doesn't have wings, it has two wings like other birds. It is also colorful and not defected. This bird is so fantastic. I know some of you have this bird in the same species. As I watched the whole video, I wonder how it survive in the land if it's not flying? We know that birds can easily be hunted because they are prey. Prey that can be eaten by snakes, owls, eagles, fox, and other predator known in the wild.
Let me introduce you the bird who can't fly even it has wings. This bird is what we called **Kakapos**. Kakapos are the world's only flightless parrots in the world. They cannot fly. Why? It is because their feather are so soft unlike other birds that is stiff and strong which cannot support them to fly. Basically, Kakapos only used their wings to balance and to support rather than to flap it. **Kákápō means night parrot.** Meaning they only go outside their nest at night. They are so prone to be hunted during daylight since they cannot run and fly.
The latin name of Kakapos is **Strigops Habroptilus meaning owl-face feather.** Since this bird is so unique. They are not only in danger because of predators, but for humans as well. Many people are so interested in this bird and they hunt it. In fact, some of the island in New Zealand eat these birds. These birds can only be found in New Zealand alone. You cannot find these birds in any country at all. New Zealand declared these birds to be "national critical". Meaning they are endangered species. In fact, there are **only 199 Kakapos** who lived today.
Unlike other birds, Kakapos has high egg infertility. Meaning, 40% of their eggs are infertile and cannot be hatched. This is one of the causes why their number decreased significantly over the years. In 1990, New Zealand started the project called Kakapo Recovery Programs which aims to protect, preserve and prolong the lives of Kakapos. Surprisingly, they are one of the world's longest-living birds that can have a lifespan of 90 to 100 years.
So if they have that long lifespan why they are so few? In fact, in 1990's the predatory animals were introduced in New Zealand. Since their number is few, it became fewer because they are hunted by cats, rats and stoats. In 1995, there are only 51 Kakapos left known. Imagine that small number of these birds and in addition, there are 40% egg infertility as well. This means that their species are struggling in the wild. Thankfully, the New Zealand government started to take care and protect them.
We can see the huge difference of their number from 51 to 199 today. Although it is a small number, but gradually they are recovering. We cannot blame the predators since that is their nature. Animals in the wild needs to hunt to live. But unfortunately, for Kakapos who cannot fly is one of best meal and easiest target for them. Truly a sad definition of prey and predator cycle.
One of the amazing fact that I was surprised to know about Kakapos is that they smell sweet like honey. Yes, this is a unique characteristic of this bird and they use it to recognize their kind. I wonder what they really are when you hold them. Based on the videos I watched, their feathers are so soft and I think that's the best nest for the new birds. Additionally, Kakapos are the world's heaviest parrots with 25 inches height and 90 pounds in weight.
I can concur that sometimes although we are all humans, but there will be a unique characteristic that can only be found in you. Kakapos are in great danger, but thanks for the help of good-hearted people who shared their kindness to these birds. I want you to love your pets dearly. They may be a dog, cat, bird, and rabbit. They still deserved to be loved and cared by you. Remember the first day you have and them. The unconditional smile and care you exert to them. Always remember that and above all, don't hurt them without a reason.

Summer escapade 101
A week ago, I felt like my skin is burning from the heat factor. It was an extreme heat that we all experienced. The sweat that keeps flowing from our skin even though you don't do much. The weather seems fine to bathe at least twice a day. Who can stand the 40° Celsius heat factor everyday? That's why I bathed twice a day or air our inflatable pool and filled it with water. I jumped to the pool in late evening then stayed there at least 4 hours.
However, I do not expect that these past few days, the weather will changed completely. We are experiencing gloomy sky and heavy rainfall. On April 5, at 3 am the rain started to poured out and it contunued all day. The fact that the weather has changed tremendously it is a sign that climate change is real. Supposedly, the summer will continue until May, but right now it feels like summer has ended.
My family plan for incoming holy week
Since the day was changing and my family wanted to have a small reunion with just few our closest relatives. I have read that in our group chat that they are planning something about an outing or picnic in Maragondon, Cavite. Maragondon is a beautiful place with pure beach and falls. Although it is not well-known but you will be amazed hiw beautiful the place is.
It was surrounded with forests and mountains. The area has many farms since it is developing area in Cavite. The signal is quite poor because there are not enough tower built there. However, the enchanting beauty of trees and sceneries are topnotch. When you visit the place, it is worth it. I know that there are some beaches that offers free entrance. Only you have to do is bring your food, clothes, tents and swim there.
It is perfect for picnic. My friend Karl visited the Patungan Beach Cove in Maragondon. Surprisingly, it was entrance fee. Yes, it's free. If you want to stay there for a night or so, there are available rooms and cottages to rent. That's where the people in the area earn. They are so friendly and they will let you rent the boat as well if you guys want to travel island. I am sure you will definitely love it because I know that the water there is bluish. Just perfect for photography and very instagrammable.
The celebration
There will be an incoming celebration next week. I will announced it on that day. This celebration is very important to me. It is very personal. I am planning something on how we will celebrate it. There are varieties of choices we can pick to. Yet, only few can be turn into reality. I guess the very most likely to succeed is what we will do. I am not choosy. My family is not choosy too. Hmm, I wonder what will it be?
This celebration will be accompanied by selected friends and relatives. I am thinking if what kind of programme I will make. I am still working on the design which I will print it on that day as part of the celebration. There are some confetti and chocolates I mixed on the pot. Whoo, I know you are guessing it now right? Anyway, there are still 4 days left for the preparation.

So to explain why we are experiencing heavy rainfall these days. It is because of tropical depression. The weather is kinda depress and crying so it rains. Just kidding! Based on the data from PAGASA, there is a Low Pressure Area (LPA) in 130 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (8.4°N, 127.5°E). In addion, it is also embedded by Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) which affects ares in Visayas and Mindanao.
That's why it is not surprising at all if in your are has experiencing cloudy and moderate rainfall. As per in Cavite, we have been raining in 3 days straight. But today, it is quite cloudy but the king sun is still covered by heavy clouds. I would like to recommend to everyone to stay safe and beware of slippery road. Especially to those who drive motorcycle and ride in bicycle. Let us enjoy the day!

Early this morning, as I was browsing on Facebook to get update from my professors. There's a new news circulating about Coinsph. Coinsph was sold for USD 200M (PHP 10.2B) to former Binance, Grindr CFO. The now former owner Indonesian gaint Gojek held and owned Coinsph for about 3 years. It is said that he sell Coinsph because to focus on its hometown in Indonesia and Philippine is no longer a priority for the firm with further investment.
Based on the report, Gojek bought Coinsph for about USD 95M (PHP 4.9B) from its founder, Ron Hose. Meaning, Gojek solt Coinsph in double the price he bought it. What a businessman! For Wei Zhou, the former Chief Financial Officer of Binance and Grindr, an LGBT dating application. He is well-knowledgeable about financial systems and has vast pool of experience. So since we have new ownership of Coinsph, then do we have to expect new changes, a better changes from its former owner?
My coinsph experiences
I have been using coinsph application since April 2021 and so it's been a year. From a year of experience using it since my account was validated. There are a lot of changes in terms of design interface, gas fees and additional services. However, when I started using the application in my first month I liked it a lot. Why? Because there is a 10% cashback. The 10% cashback is the reason why many users prefer it than any financial application.
However, the 10% cashback feature has been long gone today. Many users left and some protested to add it again. Personally, the cashback is very helpful because I can save money as well. The more I spend and pay my bills like electricity and Internet. I can get back something from it. What's funny thing is I hide it to my parents so that I have money. That was my misdeed when I don't really have source of money back then.
Today, coinsph has a good user interface and design interface. I like how I see some development and changes. Especially, when they add some crypto coins as well. On the other hand, one thing I noticed is that when you want to receive in Etherium Network, you have to pay for one time fee for about PHP 1000. I am not sure if it's the same today. But that feature is not good because I hardly receive some ETH and XRP. Thankfully, they didn't do anything to BCH and BTC.

I had quite a high expectations for Wei Zhou, the new owner of coinsph. Since he has a broad and complex understanding how financial systems works. Let us just hope that he will perform and manage it better than the previous one.
I expect to decrease the Coinsph fees. As you all know, there is a huge difference in price conversion. It took a lot of toll in our money. It is such a coincidence that I am having a trouble finding how I can make a good conversation to people. When you learn the art of being fearless and without shyness. You will see yourself improved in every way. I may not a good speaker back then, but I overcome it gradually. You know what, what's very good thing about my friends they don't use phone whenever we have a get-together. If you could start a secret society, what would be its mission and who would be the members?
A secret society must be composed of varieties of people and excelling in their own field. If I am going to build a secret society then it will be the society of prophets and mad scientists. Oho, you are thinking why I chose these people right? Well, to tell you the truth I am a big fan of prophets most especially in the Bible. God gifted His people to prophecied to be able to help its people.
My main objective establishing this secret society would be to prophecy what kind of world we will be having in the future and let the mad scientists to build it ahead. I know there will be advantages and disadvantages in this kind of work and it could be dangerous. However, to bring out the best for our world is still better than being stagnant and slow.
How I wish I can resurrect great scientists in different era and let them work for a new invention that will shake the world. Do you think what kind of world we will have if Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk and many more to collaborate to one project. I think that would be awesome. The project that will entirely shake the world and can lead to humanity's advancement.
Which color would you want to see for the rest of your life if humans lost the ability to see all colors except one?
Colors made our world aesthetically beautiful. No wonder why people are madly in love with colors especially the artists. They focus on how they can use and orchestrate the colors which affects our mood. To be able to convey emotions through color is powerful. But, what if all colors are gone except to one color we will for the lifetime? That would be hard because to see only one color can affect how we live. Our eyesight would be deceived unless we heightened our sense like smell.
The color I would choose is most probably the green. Green is the most likeliest one because we can see color green in our environment. Plants, trees, forestry, some fruits and vegetables, and some shades of few things we owned. I will definitely not choose red because I feel like I'm in hell everyday. Not black because I don't like shadows and darkness. Not white because it's too clean for me and I feel like anytime soon the Lord will call me.
What advice would you give your parents if you could go back in time and give your parents advice before you were born?
Essentially, family planning is one of the key to have a successful family. I am not telling that when you undergone family planning is that your family will be successful. It is just that the birth control will be plan accordingly. I was born when my mother is age 21. I don't know if it's the right age to give birth, but certainly I know they are not prepared. I am very open when it comes to this kind of conversation because it's the reality we cannot escape.
If I would give my parents an advice that would be family planning. My mother got pregnant before they were even get married. They had not enough money to sustain my needs and at the end, they seek help to my grandparents. I know for a fact that they have no a permanent house, insufficient funds, lack of parenting skills and insufficient cash flows. That's why I would like to tell them that don't be impulsive to have their own family. You have to think it through. Plan as much as possible. Seek advices to your parents and relatives.
To our incoming get-together with my friends later this 2 o'clock in the afternoon at milk tea shop owned by friend's parent. I hope we have a good discussion to these things. As young adults, our minds are open to anything. To you who read this, sometimes do not dwell upon on your own comfort zone. Do not sugar-coated yourself with lies. Be courage to talk to people. Again my life: Based on a true story
The untold story of a boy was written for the whole March. He constantly sharing his life experiences, passions, desires, dreams and preferences. You might read his articles several times, but his only goal was for you to know him well. He doesn't like flowery words to make himself presentable while he describing himself. All he wanted was to write and share it with transparency and genuineness.
Looking back at his articles last March. It was a steady and consistent. He published exactly 30 articles over 31. He doesn't know how he did all of it, but one certain thing is clear. He was goal-driven. All along he was tired finding a suitable sites for him to write. Readers who will love him and his very own works. He kept thinking about starting to write in a famous writing and reading application called wattpad.
He wrote two stories consisting of 30 plus chapters. His readers loved his fictional, thriller story that caught their attention well. Everything seems fine because he finally did what he loved to do. One time, he lost his phone. He unknowingly left his phone in the bus which the phone slipped through his pant's pocket. He went home crying, not because he lost his phone. But he cried due to he will not be able to write again. He didn't know his email password and the number registered was in his lost phone.
Trying to build up himself again, but the fire to write seems dying day by day. Whenever he checked his work on wattpad, his readers kept commenting about when will his work be updated. The hot, emotional tears flowed in his cheeks. He decided not to check it anymore and leave it just like that. He left his passion in writing because he felt very disappointed.
However, the opportunity still keeps knocking on his door. His high school friend kept bugging him about to write on the school publication because they know how much he love writing. He ignored it. He ignored everything about writing because he thought it is a waste. Waste of time. Then, the opportunity still doesn't end. His teacher asked him personally to join and write. Although he doesn't want to write, but in his school essays. His teacher knew how much potential he has in writing.
Later on, joined the publication and wrote several articles. It was published in his school and read by students, teachers, administrators and principal. He received many congratulatory letter from his teachers. He felt good. He felt it is the start again. He graduated with high honor and he was so proud of it. It is the symbol of his hardwork and overcame trials. He soon entered college, however school publication is way different here.
In his freshmen year, he cannot wait to join the school publication. He wrote an extra article about the current event back then. It was written passionately. All the time, whenever he write something he make sure it was good and readers will find it worth to read. He submitted his work and left with smile. Three days later, his friends received an email regarding their submitted article. They were admitted and passed. However, he did not. It was a big mistake for him to expect that he will be passed. He was asked by his friends if he received the same email they got. He smiled and said maybe it's not the right time for me.
Couple of years after, pandemic happened and everyone stayed at home. He had no choice but to start doing different things. He tried painting and learned from YouTube university. However, it didn't worked out well. He then switched to learning guitar from his cousins. At first, he found it interesting. His sleep pattern changed because of his tremendous amount of effort practicing it over and over again. Unfortunately, he it didn't last long. The guitar was borrowed so when the owner asked him to give it back, he had no choice.
Again, he had nothing left to do. He kept ending things not so well. All he wanted was to learn something new. Something he can replaced from his passion, writing. He was about to sleep when his phone get a notification that someone message him. It was his college friend. She messaged him about if he's interested earning while writing. When he saw the word writing, he shut down his phone and thought about it never again.
Early in the morning, his college friend kept insisting that to try it because he might earn well. She knew that he was a good write because he can write in different genre. He gave it a shot. He found it interesting since many users are able to earn money. Days went passed, he didn't know that his passion in writing came back gradually.
He earned quite well in his first month in noise cash platform. His posts are different things but mostly more on about himself and his journey in daily life. It worked out well. WWE: My ultimate sport entertainment
With our love in sport entertainment is unending. Every country has their own national sport that their citizens love to play. I cannot imagine a world without sports. No basketball? No football? No chess? No swimming? No Olympics? Nothing at all. This world will be boring without. As I was writing this, I am watching my cousins playing basketball. They are sweating while running and dribbling. But, the smile they have while playing basketball is incomparable and real.
I know some of you don't really play sport. Well, for you to know I am not a sporty man as well. I have poor cardiovascular system, but high stamina. That's why whenever we have a physical education activities. I am always doing the warm-up and cool down exercises seriously because if not, it will have a huge toll on my body. I may not be a sporty man, but my love to watch sport never left.
Can you imagine your husband who used to watch NBA or PBA basketball suddenly changed because basketball cease to exist? Or your favourite sport and athlete just gone like a bubble? I don't know what will happen if the sport entertainment doesn't exist anymore. Especially, we Filipino love basketball. We saw kids, teens, young adults, adults playing basketball in the nearest covered court just to play.
Who influence me to watch WWE?
The person responsible why I am very addicted to watch WWE is because of my father. Since I was young, my father watched it a lot on television. Sometimes, we will go to my grandparents house just to watch the show. I cannot believe myself that after several years, I will developed my interest and love in WWE sport entertainment. It was a good wrestle. There are great and famous wrestlers that came from WWE.
I still remember that my father and I used to play it in our bedroom. He will grabbed my body and slammed it to bed. It doesn't hurt because our bed is quite soft and has an extra foam whenever we will wrestle. My father and I watched WWE together until now. I think this is our common interest that I am happy about. Whenever my father is stress or angry, I will just play a WWE episode and his mood will change. That's how powerful it is in my family.
What is WWE? (history and background)
WWE stands for World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. It is basically the home and company of great wrestlers in the world. They have many professional wrestlers since they founded it on February 21, 1980. Today, WWE has been running the show for over 42 years. Currently, it was owned by Vince McMahon who is a great wrestler and businessman. If you want to visit their headquarters, they can be found at Stamford, United States and Connecticut.
Over the years, WWE has gained famed all over the world. They became a favourite of the mass watching their wrestlers against each other. Today, WWE has many divisions like Smackdown, Raw, NXT, Wrestlemania, and WWE Main Event. From these division, my favourite is Smackdown and Raw. But when it comes to most exciting event I would definitely go to Wrestlemania. Definitely, it's a whol another level of sport entertainment.
I will be honest that when these past few years, I dreamed to become a wrestler as well. My love and desire for wrestling grew day by day. However, although I have enough confidence to pursue it, but my body keeps restraining me to do so. In addition, I have no coach nor training ground for it so I dropped it. It's okay to stay to become an avid viewer and fan of wrestling. Although, today has many existence of wrestling company like AEW, Impact and UFC. But my love for WWE will never fade.
Who's my favourite men's and women's wrestler?
I have a long lists of my ultimate favourite wrestlers in WWE. The wrestlers I will mentioned are those performance and atletism are superb. Although, many athletics are emerging in the company today, but the hall of famers and legends are irreplaceable.
Men's category:
**John Cena**. Cena became my ultimate idol in men's category. His performances and physique is top-notch. His finishers are cool.
**Batista**. Batista has Filipino grandfather that's why I was hooked in him.. Actually, his in-ring performances are amazing and can be partner with any wrestlers.
**Randy Orton**. Oho, Randy's finishing move the RKO is so good. This became his signature move in his career.
**Roman Reigns**. Roman is now the currently faced of WWE. I watched him since his debut and he has great improvement since then.
**Brock Lesnar**. Brock is the ultimate man, I guess. His winnings and championships are too many to count. His solid performance will definitely move you.
Women's category:
**Charlotte Flair.** Charlotte also the Queen is the most decorated female superstar. Her physique and stamina is high and topnotch.
**Bianca Belair.** She was quite new but I loved her since her debut in NXT. her in-ring performance and appearance is totally different. I love her hair, the EST of WWE.
**Asuka**. This Japanese superstar is my favourite Asian wrestler in WWE. She's wise, fast, and has many finishing move. The Asuka Lock is the most well-known.
**Sasha Banks**. The baddest and sassy wrestler of WWE. The only one The Boss. Her performances are in par with Charlotte. Bank Statement is her signature finishing move.
**Naomi**. Naomi is just too athletic for me. Her flexibility is incomparable to others. Headscissor is her well-known finishing move. But she's quite underrated.
Overall, the most important thing in sport is your sportsmanship and ability to learn when you lose. I may not be a sporty man, but my love for sport is too great especially in wrestling. Just enjoy watching our favourite sports because you might not know that someday you will be the one on television. Performing and competing to other athletes in the world.

Meet my girlfriend
As I was wondering in Robinson last couple of months, I had to sit in a bench at the second floor. I massaged my thigh and leg to ease the cramp. I felt relieved when it finally gone. My bag has a notebook which I use to jot down notes whenever I saw something interesting. It became a habit since I joined journalism back then. At 3pm, I felt my tummy is starting to complain because I am really hungry. I found KFC at the lower floor and that's quite crowded. In fact, every fast food I saw was crowded.
I ordered three flavor shots and one chicken burger. I scanned the whole dining area to look for a vacant seat or table. My neck hurts a bit since I am searching every table. I spotted a vacant seat at the left corner, and hurriedly went over the seat. I didn't notice that there is a girl seating in front of the seat. I asked her if the chair is taken, and she answered it didn't. I sat and sighed with a relieved because finally I sat comfortably. The spot is just too perfect. The cold temperature and the chairs suitable for two persons.
When my order arrived, I noticed she was shocked because I had three flavor shots. Actually, these three flavor shots are ala carte. So I saved a penny from the beverage. I always chose water because I don't want to eat softdrinks. Though I can choose ice tea or pineapple juice, but it's not time for that. The table was full and I know she will be irritated. So I placed once flavor shot to the other one. Now, I have two plates and one cup of water.
I asked her name and smile. She didn't answer back. Then I switched my question to how are you? She bit her lips quickly, she thought I didn't saw it. "It's okay!", I said. She was so quite and I felt like I have no one in front of me. But I still kept talking and talking even though that's very unusual. After several minutes, she finally opened her mouth and speak. "I'm Kertin, and thank you for asking me how I am!", she said it fast. In fact, she said it in English. We had a good conversation until we finished our meal. She's not talking to me in Tagalog at all. Quite a challenge!
When I was about to stand up and grabbed my bag. She spoke again and said "hold on!". Then I sat to asked her why. She requested a favor if I can accompany her buying some stuffs because her mother's birthday is incoming. I didn't rejected her invitation since I have nothing to do too. To tell you the truth, she got a good smile. Her hair is looking soft, her style is in shape and how she delivered the conversation is too stunning.
I cannot imagine that day will be amazing. I am accompanying a beautiful girl and had meal together. I would say that was a highlight last January. My heart keeps poundint but I didn't expect something from her. She bought an sandal and a bag in department store. We went to bench because she wanted to buy new jacket and cologne. I'm very honest whenever she asked me if it suits her. I told her not to buy it because it contradicts her skin type from the jacket's color.
Kertin and I strolled in the second floor. Most of the food stalls and gadget stores can be found there. She is looking for a phone because her brother lose his phone last week. Since it is payday, she had enough money to buy one. Kertin asked me if I have some recommendation for her. I am not very choosy in terms of the brand, but the most important thing is the specs. We kept strolling to different stores and we found this gadget stores that offer variety of phone brands. I told her to buy the Samsung phone, I forgot its model. Its worth around 12,500 PHP.
After a few hours, we bid farewell. She was about to leave when I asked if I can add her on Facebook. Hmm. She did not give her Facebook name, but she gave me her personal number. So it's a win-win. Unfortunately, I am not loading nor registering to any promo. But for her, I did it. Later that night, we had a conversation. She's really funny. Her humour is contagious. Kertin called me early in the morning to say that her mom like the sandal. I don't know but I felt some connection with her.
Three weeks later, we decided to meet. I saw Kertin sitting inside at Starbucks. She was using her phone and ear phone was plugged in. I went over her place and tap her shoulder. She smiled. I ordered Matcha Tea Latte and Kertin is French Vanilla Latte. We had some doughnuts as well. We talked like a casual friends. I thought this last night over and over again to confess. I cannot believe myself to fall in love just like that. I only met her a month ago, and now I will confess. In the middle of our conversation, I stopped her from talking. I told her to read my message. She opened her phone and her eyes widen. She smirked. The first word she told me is "Really?". I told her so, yes.
"You are a good man and when a girl knows more about you. I think she will fall to you too. And that's why I did". That's the line is very assurance that she liked me as well. Ha! Finally, the first girl I confessed my feeling didn't reject me. I court her and we met from time to time. Until one day, she finally said yes. I cannot express my joy because I have been single for so many years. My heart beats for Kertin. I met her brother and parents not long time ago. I didn't felt shy, but I was nervous. They treated me well with tons of food and good conversation.
And all these things aren't real. I have no girlfriend. I have not fell in love. I have not met a girl. Happy April Fools Day! *kissed*

Lately, I have been into listening to podcast about finances. I am following some of the popular financial advisors and podcast content creators. I feel like when you are adulting, being wise in finances and how you manage your finances is badly needed. There are many bills to pay, emergency, impulsive spending and shopping. Sometimes you will just woke up to check your wallets and found almost nothing left.
It is a sad reality for us to work earnestly, but we cannot save money for ourselves because we have to support our family first. You will go to your work thinking that I have to work to pay my bills. Not thinking about I have to work because I need to be financially stable. To save money, to invest, to tithe, and to generate cash flows. However, I deeply understand that my some of my fellow Filipinos have no time to think about these things because what they earned is just enough to cover up all their expenses.
The power of giving
They said that the more we give, the more we bless. On the other hand, some says the more we give, the poorer we become. What can we give if we have nothing to give? Even for ourselves, we cannot afford to buy something then what we can give? Actually, giving is not something you will do because others tell you to do so. Give and share money to the extent you bear no grudge nor displeasure.
At first, giving is hard. If you are thinking how much money should I give? It does not matter how much money, but how much you are willing to share. Giving is a voluntary act that cannot be dictated to you over and over again. I have understood that giving has the power to move someone to do and act better. Isn't feel good whenever we help someone in need according to our own will?
The power of giving can attract more. The more you share your blessings, the more you will understand that you are already abundant.
The power of portioning
The power of portioning starts when you understand your own needs. We have different priorities and necessities in life depending on where and what type of living. To understand your own needs, break down every little things you always spend your money to. Even spending a single peso is needed to write. Portioning means allotting a specific budget in that particular area.
To illustrate the portioning, I would share to you where I alloted my money every month. In fact, since I am a student and has no work. My streams of earning is poor and not fully developed yet. My portioning is like this.
**Tithes**. Tithes is what we give to church or to our chosen charity. It is the 10% deduction of our salary. Why tithe is part of my portioning? It is because I believe that through giving tithes to church is God blessing me more. In fact, it is stated in the Bible. 10% is quite big enough if you are looking at it, but you are blessed in everything if you believe that.
**Grocery**. I share some of my earnings to grocery. The most important thing for me is to have enough foods for our family because I can't allow my family to hungry. Plus, food is the very basic needs of everyone. Allot more in this portion if you can.
**Pets maintenance**. Since we have many pets and animals. I alloted atleast 15$ for their foods. Thankfully, since rabbits don't bath, I can save money more. Shampoo, soap, and injection is not needed.
**Investment**. Smartbch helps me to invest to some tokens. My smartbch portfolio doesn't have big sum of money since I am starting to discover and understand everything from it. I believe I put 20% of my monthly income to investment.
**Saving**. This one is very important. Although you have investment in your portioning, but saving should be prioritize too. In my saving, I have my emergency fund, school fees, and other things. I don't know, but saving really helps a lot when it terms on budgeting.
**Fun money**. This part is my favourite. Of course I would grant myself to order and shop something I like. It is very important to give yourself because it is the reward for your hardwork in the whole month. But stay budgeted!
Start portioning you money from the most needs to least. It will help you to understand the importance of budgeting and how it affects your life. You will not loose anything from portioning your money, instead it will help you narrow down where you money is being spent to. Cheers for the success!

Helping my sister in her research overnight
A couple of days ago, I was busy video calling my friends who are asking me about our activities. They are confused from the instruction because it's not clear. Then suddenly, my phone alerted with incoming call. I thought it was someone else because the nunber is not saved on my contact list. I answered the phone with calm and respecting voice. I actually didn't recognize her voice when she finally said her name. She is Mia, my cousin who seek help from me. I was a bit disappointed. I thought it is my future girlfriend or something. Just kidding!
So she asked me to help in her research since her brain is too full and occupied. Ever since her sister went abroad which I already featured from my past article. My sister is going to UAE! I said yes and she was screaming with happiness. She told me that she will treat me to McDonald when she got her money. Too early from the call time
I went to their house early because I want to ride with my father. I can save money in thay way since transportation fare is quite pricey now. Although I planned to visit their house at 6pm, I went there are 2pm. I was with my youngest biological sister. She wanted to come because she wants to see our grandmother and cousins as well. I found Mia in her room doing her online classes. As I thought, we are too early from my scheduled time plan. I headed to my aunt's house to ease my boredom.
I was greeted by four dogs. They are too cute because they are still pups. Those dogs are mixed breed. Husky, Japanese Spitz, and Pomeranian. There are four breed flowing in their genes. I cannot took photo because they are too playful. They are biting my phone case and shirt. Mocho is my favourite. Among all the dogs, he is the one who looks like Pomeranian. His fur is too fluff, and paw is big. I played them for 30 minutes until I drainwd their energy and will to play.
Time to do research!
I ate dinner together with my cousins. My lola cooked chicken adobo and fried fish. I am full after 20 minutes. We shared laugh and teasing. Mia and I are headed to her room to do the research. She opened her laptop and browse the file folder containing all the files for her reesearch. In fact, when I read their research title, it confused me about what's the problem in their research.
She told me that her teacher is the person responsible for their title. It was given and approved. But in my honest thought, I spoke to her that too flowery words from the research title can cause confusion which readers might it difficult to understand as I am. Their research title is a bit off from the content and research problems. Actually, they are making chapter two and three. However, the first chapter still lacks and doesn't cover the whole content of their research.
What makes me more stress?
In fact, I was pissed off to her leader. They are in Google meet and exchanging conversations. The group was fighting about Review Related Literature (RRL). Their leader wants the RRL to fucus on the citation while other members want to focus on the specific title and add citations. In contrast, their leader wants to have too many specific title and citations. To be precise, she wanted to have a mininum of 12 pages for it.
The problem is that they have no specific titles for the RRL. The leader insisted to make them think and pass it after an hour. But she kept talking and talking about nonsensical things. To the point, she is sharing other subjects activity. I told Mia that I am starting to loose my patient. The time is running and yet nothing is being written and made because of their leader. She is demanding, unrealistic and nonconformist.
I started to loose my patient that's why I went out from her room. We bought some snacks and refreshments to ease my heating brain. I cannot imagine how messed up their group is. Actually, Mia and other members are doing good and understanding what to do. But their leader is always contradicting their ideas. That is the reason why nothing is made and I waste my two and half hours just listening to their fightings and arguments. After an hour, they decided to follow and reconsider all of their ideas. It was going smooth and I already found some credible researches and articles. I already copied some which I think is needed for their research.
Time check 12:30 am
I was very sleepy. I am not used to sleep past 10 or 11 o'clock. The research is going smoothly and they are doing it well. My hands feel numb from typing and copying. My eyes hurt because I forgot to bring my anti-radiation eyewear. Mia is sleepy as well. I asked her what time they want to end the google meet. They are working on their desktop and laptop for too long now.
I think it's better to finish it later this morning because I can sense that they cannot write and think better. I saw their work and grammar. It is becoming off an off. She told me that they will do it until 3 am. I said okay. We continue the research with ease. Thankfully, no problem or technicalities happened. I was very sleepy again and again. Thus, I have activities and classes tomorrow as well. Since it's already 2:45 am, I told her I'm going to sleep. I cannot feel like my body had slept because my head is heavy and I am a bit dizzy too. That's how the night ended. Their research isn't finished, but I see the progress. What's your research story?

Bridgerton: New season!
With numerous series and movies released by Netflix every week. I was wondering to watch and discover something far from my taste. I like to watch and enjoy new genre. I am very opened to what it feels like watching a new genre that makes me excited. Well, I know we are very familiar to Netflix, one of the biggest streaming platform as of today. They have thousands of movies and hundreds of series to watch. May it be Western, Asian, European and many more.
Korean dramas are surely dominating the top 10 today. Who wouldn't love Business Proposal? The very giggle and blushing moments that I haven't feel for so long. In fact, my love is put at rest for quite some time. My interest for seeking new relationship is far gone and I don't know when it will come back. However, that's no concern because I am so free to do anything I want as single man. But I am not closing my heart for the opportunity to come when my heart finally beats for a person.
Looking for a new series
Recently, I was searching for a new series. Not Korean dramas because I am watching business proposal. I want something new farther than Asian series. Then, I saw the series Bridgerton. I actually watched the first season a long time ago. Now, they released the second season and I am very excited. I downloaded all the episodes with excitement. Thankfully, PLDT's internet connection that day was quite fast so it doesn't took long to finish downloading the eight episodes.
Whenever I am watching a series or a movie, I always bought or prepared a food. Like popcorn, fishball, nova, nuts and cracklings. It is definitely worth to watch when I felt a sudden urge after I finished watching Bridgerton's trailer. That was a very impressive setting and plot which hooked my interest. Trailer is an important preview of the movie that can get viewers attention. I believe that the better the trailer, the higher the success of its promotion. That is only how I view it and that's no concerning.
Quick summary
If you watched Bridgerton first season then you would definitely follow my summary. Alright, I will summarize the second season for you. Is it really okay for me to summarize it because I might spoil you. Gosh, this is exciting! The second season started with a very good opening. The whole plot is basically circulating to Viscount Bridgerton. Since its already a season, which is looking for match.
Lord Bridgerton wanted to find a wife to be his Viscountess. He is eager to because he is blinded by his desire to fulfill his roles as the head of the family. Then, the Sharma's family came in their lives. It was introduced and vouched by Lady Danbury. So the Queen herself decided to pick Edwina Sharma as her diamond. It was an opportunity for Lord Bridgerton to court the diamond and marry her. However, Kate Sharma, the older sister of Edwina Sharma has met the Lord Bridgerton in the woods. He felt something a connection for Kate.
The roller coaster of feelings and plots are in the world of Kate Sharma, Viscount Bridgerton and Edwina Sharma. Thus, the identity of Lady Whistledown has been revealed to Eloise Bridgerton. Unfortunately, their friendship gone wrong. In addition, there are certain events in the story which is worth to catch on. Lady Portia is very vicious woman who only wanted fame and honor for her family but her desire makes the entire family at risk. This season is good, but I believe not better than the first season.
Is role and duty better than honesty and love?
Certainly, one's true love is igniting the passion and desire of a person. It is a shining, warm and well-coated urge to pursue someone you love. However, what if that love has no something for the family? You are the head of the family which governs and supervise all the finances, decisions, and well-being in every aspects of your lives. In Bridgerton, I definitely learned something that I can apply for myself.
I would illustrate the Bridgerton in a way you can relate. The scenario is you are the breadwinner of the family. Your family has been far from getting out of poverty and you are their hope. Out of the blue, you suddenly fell in love. Your mother asked you not to seek love unless one of your siblings got a diploma. But the urge to pursue your heart for that person is getting stronger and stronger everyday. You think that person is the one for you, yet you cannot pursue because your role as the breadwinner of the family. It is only a hindrance and distraction which can lead for your focus to turn to something else. Will you pursue your love and became less a breadwinner? Will the weigh of role and duty heavier than honesty and love?
I believe this is very unfortunate situation for a person. In my view, I would definitely choose my family than fulfilling my desire. Although, that would be difficult and undesirable. The choice is given to everybody, but the consequences afterward is what we fear the most. As a family-oriented person, I can set aside the love I have for someone and if we really are fated to each other. The Lord will never bring harm to that string of fate.

Disturbance causes by snoring
I am truly happy to all of you who greeted my nanay yesterday. It was absolutely appreciated with the heart. I told my nanay that she was greeted by my virtual friends. I let her read all of your comments and she was smiling all the way through. She said that she never greeted by many strangers most especially in the like of read.cash community. I would like to extend my warm appreciation to everybody. Thanks so much friends!
So we were all tired doing many stuffs like preparing and cooking food, installing the tents, filling water to our pool, washing the dishes and going back and forth to buy forgotten foods. I was reallt tired because I cooked a lot yesterday. My hands feel numb and a bit shaking. My legs are stiff and I felt like any moment will occur muscle cramps. Thankfully, it never occurs. It is just that I have muscle stress in that area. I cannot believe that the my mother's celebration ended well with peace and blessing. The most important thing happened is she was happy in her birthday. That would be suffice.
Last man standing (alcohol challenge)
Traditionally, every celebration has alcoholic drinks. There is a high probability that every party may it be birthday, wedding, christening, and many more has alcohol unless prohibited by the host. My uncle has made a challenge yesterday. He set a challenge like this. The person who will be the last to get out in the table will be granted 2000 PHP (38.28 USD) based on the current currency exchange. But you should not pass in every turn will be disqualified. They are drinking around 12:30 pm and finished around 9:45 pm.
They are truly a monsters. Heavy drinkers and can last very long withstanding the varieties of alcoholic beverages presented in the table like Red Horse, Emperador, Alfonso, Lambanog, and Ginebra. Salute to my father, uncles, aunties, grandfathers and some of our neighbours who took the challenge but only one withstood it all. The man who conquered and make his fellow drinkers bend their knees is none other than one of my uncle, Pedzon. He really is a heavy drinker who drinks every week. His alcoholic resistance is too great compare to others. He received the cash prize with so much dizziness.
Sing it to win it (karaoke challenge)
There is another challenge set by my uncle. It is to sing in videoke and score 100. That is a very simple rule, but quite a challenge because gaining perfect score in videoke is truly hard. He clipped the 3000 PHP (57.43 USD) based on the current currency exchange. There will be three winners for this challenge and will receive 1000 PHP each. My cousins hurriedly opened the song books and browse it. They inputted the number corresponding to the song they picked.
Since I cannot sing, I am out in this challenge. My voice is truly unpleasant and it may haunt you until your dreams. That's how horrible it is. We all cheered whenever the scoring happened because we don't want someone to win as early as possible. I think they sang many songs particularly with high notes to have a high score. My aunt is the first one to gain perfect score. It was followed by my another aunt. Lastly, my cousin is theast one to gain a perfect score. She sang Luha by Aegis.
The haunting night (snores everywhere)
It was passed 10 pm when everyone left with peace. We bid our goodbyes and will definitely miss each other. My father is the first one to lay on bed in the next room after us. He is very sober and you can literally see how heavy his eyes are. It is like telling us that he really needs to rest and let his body rejuvenate the energy once more. We cleaned up the equipments outside and just let everything in mess. We will clean everything tomorrow.
I thought I will be having a good night sleep. But my sisters are producing a loud and irritating sound. They were snoring. They were snoring simultaneously which is definitely hard to sleep. My sister who next to my age snore quite a bit lower than my youngest sister. My brain is wacking and telling myself to be patient. But my patience is running out because I want to sleep now. My body feels heavy and I felt like I cannot move my body anymore. It is very unusual for my sisters to snore because they do not do that. I believe there's something that triggers in their body to snore last night.
Why we snore?
Basically, when someone is snoring we intend to make of him. We will video his sleep while snoring and let him watch the video when we woke up. But snoring us not funny thing at all. It is a sign that something is wrong in his body. Snoring is caused by numerous factors, such as from your mouth and sinuses, a cold, your weight and alcohol consumption.
When snoring, it means the airflow from lungs to mouth is narrowing. The fast flowing of air from your lung which is narrowed causes to vibrate and produced a sound we called snoring. Some scientista argue that most of alcoholic drinkers are experiencing snoring. They advised that we took less alcohol consumption before we sleep.
Based on healthblog, snoring can sometimes be often a sign of a condition called **obstructive sleep apnea,** which raises the risk for diabetes, obesity, hypertension, stroke, heart attack and other cardiovascular problems. Snoring is very common, but not normal. If you knwo someone who snores a lot especially every night, then try to tell it to that person and let do some exercise. There are several ways to stop and prevent snoring. Stop doing something that you can is bad for your health.

Celebrating my mother's unplanned birthday
My phone rang loudly in the melody of chirping bird tune. I covered my head with blanket once more before I go out to my bed. But my bed is pulling me and my mind is commanding me to sleep again. No, I have to wake up early today because it is nanay's birthday. There are a lot to prepare especially the foods. I am task to cut, chop, and grater ingredients. My body feels heavy because I felt tired from what happened last night.
Since we have inflated pool, we aired it. The summer heightened with incredibly hot temperature and thus the air was quite off. Can you imagine we're very near in farm, but you cannot feel any wind at all. That's why we decided to inflate our pool and soaked ourselves. It felt good. I started to stay in the water around 7 pm and leave around 9:30 pm. We watched the newly released western series from Netflix Bridgerton season 2. Oh, we just finished two episodes. I bought pizza and fries as well to make it more a little bit fancy. There's a Novellino wine left by my cousin before and I shot some too. What an incredible night.
The hidden plan
Supposedy, the plan we had talked about for my mother's birthday was to celebrate it just the five of us. We will not invite any family relatives because my parents are saving money now to finish our house. Our house isn't finished yet. There are some parts which we like to change and add. If you are living in subdivision, you know that houses are not fully furnished. We had to repair the ceiling of the house because of too much heat at the height particulary on the second floor.
But we have no idea that my aunties and uncles had already plan something. They told us that they will come here and bring some food. Of course, it would be embarrassing if we will not prepare anything and eat only what they bring. The foods they will bringam are for our snacks like pichi-pichi, ginataan, and maja. Right, my aunt Bagie baked some cupcakes and puto too. So we have to cook viands for lunch. I will cook Bicol Express, stuffed chicken and buffalo wings. Then the rest will be cook by my father like grilled bangus, sinampalukang manok and menudo.
My relatives are coming!
I opened my phone and read the notifications that pop-up every minutes. They will leave the house in Kawit and Bacoor at 10 o clock and will arrive here around 11:30 o'clock. Just perfect for lunch. But the problem is if we can finish all the dishes we're cooking right now. There are only two gas stoves running and the woods we usually use are consumed. So how the heck I am still writing an article despite I am busy today. Actually, I'm writing this while I am in the comfort room and for every break I have done in preparing ingredients.
I started writing this around 7:30 am and time check is 9:48 am. I have been typing for 2 hours already. And it seems I am far from finishing it because it has only 3 minutes reading time. Oho, speaking of relatives are coming, my cousins are here now. Our dogs are barking in high pitch tone and my sister is assisting them coming in. They used their bikes coming here and they are sweating a lot. I envy my cousins because they can bike that long. I didn't like to bike or drive any vehicles. I developed a phobia due to I am almost hit by tricycle in the first time and truck for the second time. I do not try to ride any vehicles until now.
My birthday wish for my mother
Honestly, I am not very talkative and expressive about my love to my family. That is not my love language. Today, although my nanay will not read this but I will message her here. Oh, dear me, I am quite shy.
Nay, you have been a wonderful nanay for all these years. You endured tumultuous amount of hardships together with tatay. There are times I knew and I felt that you cannot bare it anymore. However, you still continue to move forward for us, for our family. My heart is deeply hurt when I heard something bad about you. When people belittle you because you are just working as machine operator. So what? It is a decent job and it pays enough to support our needs.
I want you to know that we love you so much. You are a wonderful mother despite of your faults and lacks. To be honest nay, If I will be given a chance to choose a mother. Will I choose you again? Definitely not. Just kidding! Of course, I will choose you again and again. No mother likes you. I still remember when I was young that you used to give us new phones every year because that's what we wish for in our birthday. Thankfully, you bought us one
Finally, nay always remember that when I will support you and tatay all the time. When I finally got a decent job after graduation, my first ever salary will be allotted only to the both of you. I will not even think to buy something from that salary. I want you the first person in these world to taste the fruit of my labor because you deserved it. I love you yesterday, today and for a life time.

Rats and dog invasion
Last night was not good. I was very irritated to a particular dog that keeps entering our fence. The dog jumped so high over our fence and gets aggressive to our dogs. I called my father inside to help me to get out the dog. It barks so loud and its teeth are baring to us. There's some saliva flowing down from its mouth. If you are wondering how tall our fence is, it's about one meter and a half. When the dog finally get out, I went to its owner. I talked to them nicely, but they doesn't believe me. They told me thay their dog is good and will not enter somebody's house.
After a while, the dog is behind me. It's barking and I told them to put leash so that it will not enter in our fence. One thing makes me very angry is that their daughter threw a popcorn on my face. She said, "Oh sorry, I like your storytelling". I was boiling inside and wanted to kickoff their asses. Certainly, when their dog enter again in our fence. Pardon me, but I will unleash our three dogs and let them bite their dog. I know it's not right, but it's very dangerous for us especially to my little sister aged six to get bitten by that dog.
The newly hatched chicks
I had already shared in one of my articles that our chickens grew in number today. Since we have eight hens and six of them had already hatched their eggs. Of course, they didn't hatched at the same time. The total chicks we have now is 38. I am very fond of handling chicks because they are so tiny and soft. They are not wiggling and trying to resist unlike hens and roosters.
My father separated the 3 weeks old chicks from its mother hen. I don't particularly knew why but I think it's because to let the chicks to grew fast and survive on its own. I believed it is a good idea because to make them feel that they are in wild. They are in the cage which we built last week. The cage has three division enough for the size number of our chicks. So 6 to 13 days from now, the 2 hens left will hatched their eggs.
The three consecutive days of rat invasion
On March 24, I woke up early in the morning because I heard a loud bang in my room. It thought there were a charger exploded or something fell from my shelves. So I looked where the loud bang came from and to my surprise, I saw my little sister at the left side corner of my room getting an attache case from the drawer's top. The attache case fell and there's a huge cracked on it. My mother asked my little sister to get it from her.
I cannot sleep from that event. My body brings me to my garden and water my plants. When I visit our chicken's cage, I smell something so bad. If you don't know I am very sensitive to smell, but my hearing failed me. I followed the where the strong smell is coming from and there are dead chicks. I think the chick is around a month old. What's horrible is that it has no muscle tissues, but bones and feathers left.
On March 25, it is yesterday. My father has no work because it's his rest day. I didn't woke up early because he will be the one who will feed our chickens. When I was eating my breakfast. My father sat down in our couch and told me that he found another dead chick. Thankfully, it was only one. I told me yesterday before that day, I found two dead chicks.
On March 26, it is today. I found new one. As I expected, the rats keep coming and eating our chicks. I found some holes in the corner of the cages and I covered it with rocks. But it is not effective because they made new holes again. Honestly, I don't know what to do to hunt these rats. I am really pissed and our chicks are decreasing now. I told my father to buy rat traps and he will buy three. I hope it will be effective. Do you have any recommendation to how we can hunt these rats?
Preparation for my mother's birthday
Aside from these unpleasant events from past few days. I am excited tomorrow because it's my mother's birthday. We will have no big celebration. We will be having a simple celebration with few relatives. The pool is being prepared as of the moment because we will use it later. I am still thinking what to buy for my mother. She doesn't like jewelery or stuffs like that. My mother is not materialistic and she prefers something that we can use everyday. That is why I am having a dilemma about what to buy for her.
I heard from my sister that my mother wants a big cake. I ordered a cake for her from my close friend who is a professional pastry maker. I love his cakes and cupcakes. I chose chocolate filling, but strawberry outside. He will add some berry's on top. I cannot wait to see the finish product tomorrow. I hope that my mother likes the cake tomorrow. I think I will be quite busy tomorrow and will be inactive for that day.
For now, I have activities and quizzes to do. I finished some of them yesterday and it's too tiring. I squeeze everything that I can get from my brain to solve the coding problems. Luckily, I still have my previous notes from senior high school up to now. I use it as a reference on how I will make my codes shorter and functional as well. My mother is sleeping and my sisters are watching movie titled 'Turning Red'. I will bake some fluffy pancakes with banana now.
