The actor who killed his mother without mercy

My entire being was shocked from the news I read this morning. The news that made me sad, mad, and unmotivated to do anything today. An actor was reported and sentenced from the court because he murdered his own mother at home. I cannot imagine how this young boy had the guts to end his mother’s life with a gunshot. Can you imagine the scene where this young boy shot his mother from the back?

Our mothers are undeniably one of the greatest supporters and caregivers we ever had since we were young. We know how much sacrifice she had bearing us from her womb in nine months and giving birth for several minutes. She withstood the pain just to make sure that you will live and experience this amazing world. We loved our mothers so much and will not be changed no matter what happens.

A shocking news that became a viral talk and trend right now in different news sites. It was about a young actor who shot his own mother at the back while playing piano 2 years ago. Recently, turned himself in at the police station because he cannot take the guilt anymore. The first sentence he said when he went to the police station was “I killed my mother!” Of course, the officers didn’t believed at first, but he looked serious, which is why they jailed him that night.

The investigation started in the morning and they found several pieces of evidence in his car. The actor had multiple firearms, ammunition, Molotov cocktails and camping gear. Meaning, he is ready to run off and hide because of what happened. But, these things are packed and found in his car because he will actually go to the Canadian Prime Minister’s house in Ottawa. Several times when the authorities questioned the young boy about what happened. He was actually honest and admitted all his deeds. No signs of hesitation at all.

The most sad part of his story is why he shot his own mother. Can you guess why? He is not an addict, abuser or smoker. What he had was clinical depression which led him to do the very unfortunate act. Meaning, the depression pushes him to his limit and cannot control his mind at all. The most disturbing part of his testimony is that “he was seeking to save his mother from something he was going to do.” And that is to kill someone or group of people.

Unfortunately, he really shot his mother in her head. After he shot his mother, he videoed himself talking about how and why he shot his mother. It became a solid proof and evidence against him. It was also said that the video showed his mother laying down and blood soaked. It was not yet clear where he buried or what he had done after to his mother’s body. I really cannot bear the part where he said it was for his mother’s sake.

This actor also plans to kill and massacre students from his former school in secondary and tertiary. He planned to do it at Simon Fraser University and Vancouver’s Lions Gate Bridge. My mind was blown away from his statement. Can you imagine the grave sin this actor would do? What if he actually materialized the things he had planned and resulted in multiple deaths of young people like him? That would be so disastrous and poor souls of the kind students.

The hearing in the court started on June 13 and ended on June 15. The actor was sentenced to life, but his Canadian’s prosecutors pleaded for 17 to 18 years of sentence. He was convicted because of second-degree murder under the Criminal Code of Canada. It stated that a second-degree murder is eligible for parole after a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 25 years. Poor soul!

This young actor I was talking about is Ryan Grantham. He was a child actor who played as Rodney James in the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Thus, he played as a guest actor in a popular series Riverdale as Jeffery Augustine. There is so much opportunity for him in the entertainment industry, but he lost it all because of the depression he had. I love Diary of a Wimpy Kid and I owned four books from the book series.

I just wanted to say that if ever you have depression or you are stressed and need someone to talk with. Don’t hesitate to ask those people you trust such as your family, friends and relatives. Do not belittle the capabilities of mental health problems. Always remember that it controls what you feel, what you speak, what you think and what you will do next. Please don’t be someone who would do the same as Ryan because there is no future for doing that crime. Depression is real, thus the mental and psychological problems too.
