The System is Rotten: Do Something About It!

The system we have today did a great job at bringing us up until this point.

Yes, it did have a huge role in civilization, but the time for it to be placed next to archaic systems like Feudalism has arrived.

The system is rotten, and it's our job to do something about it.

Throughout this article I'll provide solid evidence that the system is rotten, I'll also show you it doesn't have to be this way.

Finally, I show you actionable ways on how you can help hasten the change we are slowly witnessing today, and help lay the current system to rest.

The System is Rotten: Here's the Proof!

Luckily for us, the proof isn't just an individual fact - we have a multitude of facts and proof scattered transversally through the system.

I still remember when, in 2018, the Vice President of Goldman Sachs Inc.'s Research Division was leaked saying something really dire in a report.

Here's what Goldman Sachs Inc. Vice President Salveen Richter said in the leaked report (which wasn't to be seen by the public):

"The potential to deliver 'one-shot cures' is one of the most attractive aspects of gene therapy, genetically-engineered cell therapy, and gene editing. However, such treatments offer a very different outlook with regard to recurring revenue versus chronic therapies."

Uh oh, healing diseases get rid of those "recurring revenue" streams...

Better not cure them then.

Well, let's be honest, we already had our suspicions this was happening, that business people were telling this to each other.

But am I the only one that feels getting confirmation is surprisingly devastating? And am I the only one that feels that this 2018 leak didn't surface again already and nobody talks about this even as we live in the middle of all of this health theater around the world?

Richter also noted:

“While this proposition carries tremendous value for patients and society, it could represent a challenge for genome medicine developers looking for sustained cash flow,”

Yes, you read it well...

...but read it again... it will be just as shocking the 2nd time around.

What has this world come to when people are looking at economical viability when it comes to improving the healthcare of the whole civilization?

This is among the most disturbing news piece I ever read and it takes away a lot of faith in humanity away.

...and no, this isn't fake news, it's real and it's disturbing.

But the system isn't only rotten as far as the healthcare industry and health-related media are concerned... it goes way deeper!

The System is Rotten: States, the System, and Middle Men

The current system promotes capitalism as a means to create value and self-regulation - and don't get me wrong, capitalism is GREAT! I'm a huge capitalist... BUT - the current system isn't based on true capitalism.

This may sound strange, but it's true.

Capitalism lives off of value. Companies that don't provide enough value go bankrupt. People who made bad decisions pay for it.

But the system today is rotten, and big corporations are immune to their failures, get bailed out, banks can spend as much as they can and get handouts and favors done to them by the government...

...and let's not get started on the INSANE AMOUNT of artificial value being created out of thin air with no true value to back it up.

In reality, this artificiality is so mainstream that it is at the heart of every bear market in the traditional economy.

You see, one of the basics of macroeconomics is that the bull starts from:

• An Increase of Aggregate Demand;

• An Expansion of Credit;

and it rolls, rolls and rolls until this artificial value created by central banks and such get mistaken for real loanable funds and true investment... the point at which people grasp for resources and notice they are too few.

This artificiality took over our current system, and many things that helped us reach this point like multi-national monetary policies and whatnot were VITAL - don't get me wrong.

But, again, it's time to change.

We've also created a lot of middle man and entities that siphon out value from our lives, which took away a key freedom we used to have - the freedom to rest.

Thanks to the never-ending work and the isolation that came from our overcompetitive and scarcity-based system, we have been stripped away of the key components to living a "healthy" life.

Socializing and Leisure, as well as time for ourselves, is something vital to living.

The way most people are leading their lives is just surviving, and getting one or two good moments through the whole week, week after week, year after year.

Their lives hurry from cradle to coffin and they don't seize the moment, instead of focusing on getting to Friday all the time.

But Blockchain technology, Crypto, and Decentralization can change that.

How Can YOU Make a Difference?

Let's start with the healthcare-related problem I spoke about earlier - the leak from Goldman's Vice Pres. of Research.

In this case, as in many others, centralization is among the biggest problems.

What happens is that medical research and medical developments need to be funded, and those funds come from companies.

This centralized model is what causes this conflict of interest and hinders our progress.

There are three ways you can help:

• SUPPORT decentralization like you're doing right now;

• SUPPORT NON-PROFIT INSTITUTIONS you believe in;

• Donate to Non-Profit Institutions that do Medical Research.

Secondly, I just want to mention that research on the non-profits you choose to support is critical, there are a lot of bad players out there and most of them do nothing with your money anyway, so decentralization is really the way to go.

Do your homework!

As for the rest of the system, we're currently going in the right direction, and again Decentralization is key.

Not only that, token-based economies aren't mature yet and we have the best chance we'll ever get of reformulating our financial, economical, and monetary rules, starting from scratch - I hope we don't blow it.

You can rest, belong to communities whom you help and who help you, and you can LIVE knowing that scarcity is imposed on us these days.

We once had scarcity, true, but now that we're so far ahead technologically, we no longer need to have it... the abundance is instead centralized on a few hands, but decentralization will work on that as people will actually need to produce value to get their due.

Sure, the freeloaders will probably have a scarce wallet anyway, but it will be way fairer.

In the BCH blockchain, there are huge whales, sure, but even small players like me have access to a vast abundance of resources if they play their cards right.

This is proof that even though some are always richer than others, no one needs to starve, and EVERYONE gets to LIVE!
