There has been a lot that has happened in your life, and there may be a lot more to come. Your college life is coming to an end or is about to begin. You either despise your job or desperately need one. You want to move out and have your own place. And it might be modest, but at least you can call it your own.
You're in your twenties, yet you act like a child. Don't let that child go as you get older.
Why is it that every guy you admire is already in a relationship or isn't looking for something serious? You keep telling your friends that you've given up on romance at this stage in your life.
What you don't tell your friend is that you're still a sucker for love.
You want to finish your master's degree, meet someone special, and even wanted to sleep on weekends. You can't possibly accomplish everything at once. You look forward to the weekends so you can do important tasks that you have been putting off because of other works you put yourself into.
However, when the weekend arrives, you wind yourself sleeping through it.
But there are a few good things are happening to you as well. You have accepted your body and your flaws, you started loving yourself and taking care of it. You don't hate yourself for being imperfect anymore, you started to value and know your worth.
You've learnt to accept yourself for who you are, and that's beautiful.
Almost everything in your life seems perplexing right now. People will begin to criticize you and give you the "you're going to get married soon" or "you're not going to be successful in life" glances. Even if you haven't done half of what you intended to achieve in your twenties.
Some days are more challenging than others, while others are more pleasant.
So this is a message to a young woman in her twenties. It's fine if you don't have your ideal career at the age of 22. It's quite OK if you don't want to pursue a Master of Business Administration. If you're still single, this is acceptable. Take each day as it comes, knowing that it is only the beginning of your journey.
Believe me, you'll shine.
love,
yours truly
