I'm powering up for the PUM ***Hello, awesome readers of Read.cash! I hope you all are having a nice weekend.*** As many of you already know, I'm also blogging in Hive. Yesterday, I got a notification that I was mentioned in a Hivebuzz post. This is the account that delivers badges to users on Hive. The badges have several categories. The common ones are for posting, commenting, receiving votes, etc. But there are some more special ones, and among them is the Power Up Day (PUD) that celebrates the first day of the month. And the Power Up Month (PUM) that are only a few months from the year, and November is one of them. As a newbie to Hive, I didn't have enough resources to earn the November PUD badge, but I had set out to join the PUM challenge. Well, the notification I received yesterday was a post of the users who are eligible so far to receive the PUM this month, and yes, there I am. https://peakd.com/hivebuzz/@hivebuzz/pum-202111-18 Power Up is to put Hive tokens at stake. And our influence in the Hive Blockchain comes from our reputation and the amount of Hive Power (Hive staked) we have. The rewards in Hive are paid in Hive Power and HBD, the latter is a stablecoin pegged to the dollar. And what have I done to be on the list of users eligible for the PUM badge? To obtain the PUM badge, you have to power up a Hive every day of the month or publish every day with the rewards set to 100% HP. Knowing myself and how difficult is for me to publish every day, I knew that the second option didn't suit me, so I decided to manage my resources to power up 1 Hive every day. As it was the first time I did it, I wasn't sure of the result. But yesterday's notification confirmed that I am on my way to getting my badge. I just need to keep to the routine of powering up 1 Hive every morning. And as a way to don't forget to do it, is the first thing I'm doing when I sit down with the laptop. How to power up Hive Power up is very simple. In our Hive wallet, we just have to select the power up option in the drop-down menu, place the amount and confirm the operation with our owner key.

**How to exchange HBD for Hive** Since the Hives I have won't be enough to complete the challenge until the end of the month, I will need to change the HBD I've earned. And to exchange the HBD to Hive we have two options. 1 ) If you use the Ecency wallet, with the HBD we have the option to convert.

But keep in mind that the conversion process will take 3.5 days.

2 ) If you use the Hive.blog or the Peakd wallet, with the HBD we have the option Market. That will allow us to exchange our HBD for Hive in the internal market of the blockchain.

Once we are in the Hive market, we can make an order and if we want it to be executed immediately, we select the Lowest ask option to place the lowest price in the market. We input the amount of HBD we want to exchange and place the order. And once it's executed we'll have the Hive available in our wallet.

This week my internet connection has been terrible due to continuous power outages in the area nearby my home. So I have had to go to my aunt's house several times, especially to be able to send some large files of my husband's work. And this kitty has been my partner some times of the week.
