Your Stories Are Just Around The Corner

This post is about a typical Pinoy life. If you are from a foreign country and wish to continue reading, it will be an honor for me. Somehow the insights in this post are relatable no matter what color or race we have. 

I am a fan of Michael V but not a solid fan. I was just amazed by his extraordinary talents. By the way his full name is “Beethoven Michael Del Valle Bunagan”.

Currently, he is an actor comedian and under contract with GMA network who stars in Bubble Gang and his own TV show Pepito Manaloto.

Michale V or Bitoy as his personal nickname and soon used in his TV show was a singer rapper back in the 90’s before he became a full time comedy actor. 

His first single rap song “Maganda ang Piliin” (Choose Beautiful) was a friendly rival rap song to Andrew E’s “Humanap ka ng panget”. By the way Andrew E. was first popular 90’s pinoy rapper who became famous with his rap song “Humanap ka ng panget” (Find an ugly). 

Bitoy then found more talent in acting so he engaged in TV shows and local films in PH while still doing some original song composition. 

He is really a man of talent. Not only that he is a singer and composer, he is fantastic at impersonating celebrities and politicians doing hilarious acts on their comedy show.  

So much for the introduction, you can check his YouTube channel and find out more about him. Who knows you might have the same interest as Bitoy particularly in toy collecting and gaming. 

So this article was about last Saturday's show of “Pepito Manaloto”. Although the shows were replayed due to limitations of taping because of the Pandemic. 

The story of Pepito Manalo  is about a common guy who changed his entire life because he won millions in the lottery. The life of Pepito revolves around his wife Elsa, their two kids, their servants at home, their neighbors and his employees. The show is always relatable to every Filipino culture, attitude, tradition and other real life situation. At the end of every show they gave insights, inspiration and motivation. In short it is a family oriented show.

Although Pepito became a millionaire he is still kind and never changes his humble attitude. He treated his servants as his own family and he never forgot his best friend Patcrick. He even gave him a position in his business. 

One thing that made me write this post was when Elsa was complaining about her friend and neighbor who happens to be selling a “Pansit” (Special Noodle) at a higher price to her. She found out on social media posted by her friend that the same noodle was sold to another neighbor at a lower price.

Pepito was a bit playful with his wife. He always makes fun of Elsa until the latter gets annoyed and then Pepito will make amends later and shows some gestures of tenderness.

Pepito then called his neighbor and told her that his wife, Elsa, was feeling bad because she  found out about the discrepancy with the pricing of “Pansit”.

The neighbor then explained that she gave a discount to the other neighbor and that it was her relative. She continued explaining to Pepito until he found that the difference between the “Pansit” sold to Elsa and to the other neighbor was only 10Php ($0.21).

Pepito ended up laughing and teasing his wife, which made Elsa annoyed with Pepito again.

Real life situation

There are several instances in life that we can relate to this story. Funny how it seems but the real essence of it was to give us lessons in life. The moral of the story was that we should not envy others. We should not complain. We should be content with what we have.

Sometimes for a very small reason we tend to exaggerate. We complain like why I was given a small share when I was the one who exerted more effort than him.

There are also times that we easily jump into conclusion, we easily judge others without looking into the mirror first. 

I admit sometimes I get easily annoyed and make actions that I should not do. Then regret after realizing that I was wrong. But we are only human. In one of my previous posts, I tackled Healthy Anger, it was about getting angry without being sin.

Sometimes a small blunder can turn into a disgusting manner and can burst into anger. So it is best to always think first before letting our emotions consume us. That is why our brain is on top inside our head because it reminds us that we should always think first before we speak or before we let our emotions decide for whatever circumstances. 

So there you have it again, showing you another article as easy as watching TV or Films. You see, everything around you can become a subject. You just have to learn to do your own creativity. 

You can do the same thing, writing need not have to be so flabbergasted, unless you are writing a novel or something different. But as long as it can communicate with the reader then that’s it.
