How to bake real Ukrainian palyanitsya.

Palianytsia is a bread made of wheat flour with a very simple recipe. Before baking, you should make sure to make one or more cuts on the bread to get a crispy crust.

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 400 g

Dry yeast - 1,5 tsp.

Water - 250 ml

Salt - 1 tsp.

Sugar - 1 tbsp.

Preparation method:

For the sourdough you need to mix the flour (leave 1-2 tbsp. separately) with dry yeast. Add 200 ml of warm water and knead the dough.

Cover the stew and leave in a warm place for 2-3 hours. The surface of the dough should be covered with bubbles.

Add the remaining flour to the stew. Take 50 ml of warm water and dissolve the sugar and salt in it. Then add it to the dough.

The dough should be well kneaded until homogeneous - it should become smooth. Make a ball of dough, lightly grease it with vegetable oil.

Cover the dough and leave it in the heat until the ball has approximately doubled in size.

By the way! All manipulation (from the beginning to this point) can be done by the bread maker on the "Yeast Dough" program.

Form the dough into a ball once more, put it on a greased and flour-sprinkled baking tray. Leave for another hour. Make incisions.

Bake for 45-60 minutes in a heated oven at 190-200 degrees. It is advisable to put a container of water in the oven.

Finished palyanitsa has a ruddy color and if you tap on it - gives a muffled sound.
