It's nice to see at the end of the day how much we have accomplished. It's quite tiring but seeing those accomplishments that we have done, we were instantly reinvigorated. Sitting on a couch while thinking those feel like our energy level never have depleted though we have worked hard the entire day. Such happiness as this is blissful, but there's one antagonist in our lives that could ruin all of this mood in just a day.
That would be no other than our best enemy, βPROCRASTINATION.
Lying down all day feeling beat without doing anything. Having no motivation to even clean ourselves, do the laundry, fold our clothes, clean our room, or cook our food. Idling here, and idling there all day while holding our phones and playing games on them. Watching our favorite k-dramas, animes, or Hollywood movies instead of studying or writing an article to be published. Setting aside your goals just to lie down on your bed thinking of something nonsensical.
In this time of the pandemic, we have to be wise on spending our time although we can't freely go out and do our normal routines. The economy is down, business is closing, people are losing their jobs, famines are everywhere, and people are dying in the hospitals. We can't just sit there or lie down all day doing nothing. What if someday, we are also the ones being worse affected by this pandemic? We better be prepared all the time. We should do the best that we can when we have the time to do it.
Here are some thoughts to boost your productivity.
Encourage yourself more often to do more.
To do a task, we need some encouragement first or a lot of it to finish it and do more. You may tell yourself if you're feeling lazy that it is for your good or your family's welfare. Talk to yourself why do you have to do that, may it bring you good or it can change your life. You can also remind yourself of the bills that you need to pay at the end of the month. Setting a goal also can help you encourage yourself to do more a lot.
Raise the level of your competency.
For this, I remember what Rock Lee in Naruto said. Be it also be your motto to be stronger than yourself yesterday. If you can do it in an hour, reduce it to 45 minutes, then the next day to be 30 minutes, and so on. If you are good now, then be better the next time until you bring out the best in you and make the most productive day in your life.
Love what you are doing.
You have to love what you are doing because if not, even if you exert your 100% effort you can't produce the most productive side of yourself. You will feel like being forced to do anything against your will and will be eager to complain than to learn. If you love what you are doing, everything just goes smoothly. You can't even differentiate the hard from medium and easy while doing that. All that you are thinking is you love doing it, and you wouldn't even notice that you have done it all.
Trace your progress.
Record your performance every time. Record how much did you earn, how much did you learn, and how do you need to improve next time. In this way, you can easily track how much have you done at that time, and you can also determine how much work will you do next time.
Make it an obligation.
I know that it's hard to change a habit when you get used to chilling all day. If the 4 ways above don't work for you, then make your every work your obligation. You can punish yourself if you haven't reached your goal or reward yourself if you achieved it more than you expected. Think of it like a child or a pet that needs to be taken care of immediately. That it should be done regularly and abstaining from that obligation is prohibited.
Hey! How's your Sunday? π
Today, we have been super busy at home again since they often have a family every Sunday. They cook a lot of food here, so it's fine. It's just that I don't have the time to think of a good topic to write about. I have decided that I'll just write prompts on Sundays. I would like to have a little break from extracting ideas from my brain too much every day.
So yeah! This is another prompt from #promtfactory of @meitanteikudo.
I think I have properly justified all of that. If you wish to join, just feel free. Just generate these 5 words from randomwordgenerator.com. Click for the link, set 5 words, then click generate. Tadaa! You have 5 words to get your mind to play on.
Enjoy the prompt and have fun!
Gimme a second, please. π
