Don't worry your file will recover. There are many data recovery software (TextDisk) that recovered files, even deleted ones too. Try to run laptop in Safe mode and see if it helps.

Congratulations with your exam. 🥳 I assume you saved what you wrote and some computers do it after a certain time by themselves. It's not lost you can just not reach it. Your hard disk into a different laptop makes it work to.

It happened to me more as once but I saved it on a usb stick and memory card too. Just the last part is gone. One day I start again and no matter what I'll write it again, faster, better, because I already did it.

You can make notes to improve, make it better or for your next book.

Congratulations. I love to read more about x-ray and how to interpret it. If you are using Microsoft office, it have an autosave option so I think you can still get back your data.
If you are using online office, you can still access your data through the web office. Microsoft 365. I think the name is. You edit using the link provided through share and it will be update online. Therefore you can use it everywhere.

I'm not sure what made your Laptop crash...But i don't think that your files are lost. There are many softwares to get your files back even after deleting them, so having them back shouldn't be very difficult. Keep working on it even with using paper and pens until you fix your Laptop. All the best!

When we read any book,we just think it is a easy work. But it is no easy to author any book specially medical books because each and every detail must be ensure and viva,it was a terrible experience of my medical life.
