Where are you living?
I know you're probably wondering what I'm getting at with this title, which may appear confused at first, but take a seat and I'll explain.
Most of us try to remember the past and regret most of the things we did back then, which makes us unhappy and depressed wondering why we made such a mistake.
Before we continue, ask yourself, "Where are you living?" and try to find answers.
The past.
Shame, guilt, and remorse.
Feeling gloomy or depressed.
Reproducing conversations or occurrences.
The present.
Gratitude.
Acceptance.
Clarity.
The future.
Fear of the unknown.
Worrying about what could happen.
Overthinking "what if" scenarios.
Feeling anxious for what is to come.
The past.
The past is filled with lessons to be learned, but thinking about those mistakes makes us wonder why we committed such a mistake, making us feel ashamed of ourselves and regretful for what occurred in the past.
We all make mistakes because no one is perfect, though everyone strives to be better, but mistakes are bound to happen so we can learn from them. We may feel depressed when we reflect on our past, but what is done is done; all we need to do now is learn from our mistakes.
Many people still live in the past, thinking about the mistakes they made and replaying them in their minds. It appears as if they should have control of time so they could go back in time and correct their mistakes, but this is impossible. All we can do is focus on the present and strive to improve our future.
The present.
We feel calm after reflecting about the past and making good use of the mistakes we made back then, so we are appreciative in the present.
The present also teaches us to accept our mistakes and learn from them in order to improve ourselves; we acknowledge our errors and make sure we don't repeat them.
There is no set date for when we should cease learning, therefore it is a lifelong process. We are also bound to make mistakes so that we can learn from them and avoid repeating the same mistakes on our next experience.
The future.
The future is unknown to no one, and we all fear what will happen in the future. Our future is in our hands, and whatever we do now will determine how our future will look.
We have the thought of "what if" our future isn't what we expected. We should try to keep our expectations as low as possible and just work hard to do our best and believe that our future will be great. It may not turn out the way we imagined it, but we can make our future bright by correcting our past mistakes and continuing to learn.
We shouldn't be concerned about the future; instead, we should strive to construct our future in the present. Accepting our mistakes and learning from them is the greatest approach to keep things moving forward.
So, where are you living? Please share your ideas in the comments area.
In conclusion.
Learn from the past, appreciate the present, and work toward the future, but don't get too worked up about it; let's keep it cool and not be in a hurry to see things work out.
It's the weekend, so let's spend it with our loved ones because this is the only time we have off. Let's attempt to find time for them and go to some recreational centers or restaurants or whatever it takes to make them happy.
Thank you for dropping by and reading, it means a lot to me. Have a good weekend.🥰💚
You said it quite alright, we should learn from the past, focus on the present to make it better and indeed work towards the future for it is bright.
