Have you ever wondered why some people excel at mathematics while others struggle? We are all different, but intelligence plays an important role in our lives.
Before moving further what do you understand by intelligence? Let me explain intelligence in my own way.
Intelligence:People say intelligence is the ability to learn, comprehend, and deal with new or difficult situations. I believe it refers to the ability to alter one's environment or think abstractly as judged by objective criteria (as tests).
Everyone in the world is intelligent, but our intelligence differs from person to person. For example, most of us are intelligent in math, while others may be intelligent in science.
We have different categories of intelligence, which I'd like to explain to you. Without further ado, let's look at the different categories of intelligence.
1.Picture smart (spatial) intelligence; Most people are born with the capacity to conceptualize, draw, and design. As we all know, most people are just so brilliant at drawing and developing designs that they would do it even if they were woken up in the middle of the night to draw or design anything. Consider drawing and solving puzzles if you wish to improve your picture intelligence.
2.Logical intelligence; Logical intelligence necessitates the ability to reason logically, analyze, and ensure that they achieve the conclusion of the problem. If you want to develop your logical intelligence, consider completing puzzles and attempting to answer difficult questions.
3.Verbal intelligence; Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are all examples of verbal intelligence. These individuals are capable of detecting and fixing grammatical errors, as well as learning as many languages as they desire in addition to English.
4.Interpersonal intelligence; This includes the capacity to comprehend people's actions as well as their social settings. It's comparable to intrapersonal intelligence, except that intrapersonal intelligence is concerned with people's feelings, thoughts, and so on.
5.Auditory Intelligence; This includes the capacity to listen to, perform, and compose music. You could use songs to remember a piece you've read before? What you only need to do is to improve your auditory intelligence.
Quote of the day;We have two options for being wealthy: either generate more money or desire less.
In conclusion.
Everyone is intelligent, however we may fall into different categories of intelligence. One thing I can ensure you is that if you use the category you are in, you will be OK. For example, you may be good with auditory, which allows you to recall passages you've read previously.
We are all unique in our own way, so let's figure out what works best for us and stick with it. We can improve our intelligence by experimenting with different categories. For example, if you have logical intelligence, you can experiment with other categories to see if they work for you.
So, ask yourself how brilliant you are, are you good at science, art, or commercial? Whatever sector you are good at, stick to it and make sure you good at it.
It's a new week, so let's attempt to get organized and accomplish what we weren't able to finish last week. Time doesn't wait for anyone, so let's schedule our time and make the most of it.
We also have intrapersonal and bodily intelligence (according to Gardner theory). This is the reason why school doesn't provide a true test of intelligence, they are only focused on one or two types of intelligence
That's correct; everyone has their own strengths and intellect, and you cannot expect someone who excels in logical intelligence to excel in all areas as well. That is not how it works.
I am sure that I'm in the verbal intelligence category. Hmm. I don't understand sometimes when people are looking down to themselves even if they have their own intellectual capabilities.
We need to know our worth and never look down on ourselves,we are all intelligent in one way or the other though we might be better in different fields but we are all intelligent
I can find myself in different kind of intelligence category, except for the one that has to do with understanding women, that I have always find hard.
But the fact remain, if you stay with your intellectual field, you're sure to excel
I love this, people need to know that intelligence is beyond getting As in mathematics. There are other forms and parents should discover their children's strengths, and guide them through it in order for them to maximize their potential
This is interesting. We all have our areas of intelligence and it is important we realize it so we won´t have to struggle in the wrong area. Every individual is unique in solving problems that makes them become an intelligent being.
That's right mom,we have various areas of intelligence and it is best we realize it and stick with the right one so we won't waste our time struggling in a wrong area.
Well done Vic and you did justice to this. A lot of people would not understand that we have varying levels of intelligence and most people attribute it to those who can reason well and argue a case out. There are those gifted with Auditory and pictures and they should be considered smart too especially with the amazing things they do. I absolutely agree with this. I see myself in 2-4 and a bit in 1 and 5. I can't draw but I can interpret a drawing.
I do believe we all have a little bit of everything and some are just more pronounced than others.
