Allow your kids to Dream

Shine, rain and cloudy day readticizen! This is our weather for today, this morning the sun showed up about how many hours, then this noon time the rain poured heavily, and now while starting my article its a gloomy day na lng. I hope the typhoon will be gone as there are many places encountered floods again. We really need to plant more trees now to avoid these floods, we are liable to these natures revenge, our initiative in planting trees can saves our kids future.
Lastnight I watched Maalala Mo Kaya(Local Drama Anthology), the storyline was about a kid with full of dreams in his life, and with his fathers guidance and his dedication in life he achieved his dream and he became a Teacher.
While he was teaching he observed the kids struggle just to be in school, lalo na ung sumasakay pa ng balsa. So when one of his student were almost dropping heis class he pay a visit with the kids house and there he notice how was the life of the kid, at the very young age they were obliged to work on the farm rather than going to school.
So to let the kid continued his studies he was the one who went to thier places every saturday and sunday, and the kids excitement was seen on his face. The kid invite more kids who are out of school and work on the farm, and there they start learning and construct thier dreams. The teacher ask for some help from the school(like books and other materials but the schools decline),so he was the one who sacrifice he even borrowed a money from a rich woman in exchange of his ATM just to buy books, papers and pencil for the kids. He enjoyed what he is doing coz he sees himself with the kids wayback.
He called his project as BALSA BASA, because they rode in balsa while studying, and there they enjoy the views and at the same time they are learning.
BALSA is a small raft or boat, it is made of tightly bundled reeds and used on lakes.
One day while they were studying, nasira ung isang part ng balsa and the kids panicked and fell on the lake, they were almost drowning, but He did his best to save all the kids, but the parents of the kids got angry and they went to the school and told the principal to remove Him from the school coz of the accident happened. He explained his side that it was all an accident and he will not allow those kids to be drown from the lake as he know those kids are full of dreams for thier lives and for thier families. But the parents pushes the principal to keep him away from the kids and stop the BALSA BASA program.
He was about to give up when one of the kid stand and deliver his word, I want to be a teacher someday just like Teacher Ryan, another kid I want to be a nurse, I want to be a engineer someday, another kid said, and they were all pleading not to stop the BALSA BASA program of Teacher Ryan.
After those words from the kids they utter no words anymore, and Teacher Ryan continued his program and he was supported now by parents and LGUs and Schools, and he even received many award for his generosity and perseverance.

The story is quite simple and normal but when it comes to the kids future we should be serious in dealing with it.
I came with this article just to share what I observed with the kids here in our place. I don't know if thier parents were really concern with them coz they let thier kids stop from schooling and work on the farm, even they are grade schoolers they are now in the farm instead of answering thier modules.
We are the parents and we are liable with our kids, we should allow them to dream for thier future instead of letting them work in thier early age, we should ask them whats is thier dream, and let them enjoy the life of being a student, although we need thier help financially but never let them shoulder the responsibilities that is for us parents.
Hindi habang buhay may palayan at construction areas na that will accept uneducated workers kaya habang bata pa at kaya pa natin silng pag-aralin let them do at teach them to dream high and ung masaya tayo if nag-aabot ng pera sa atin mga anak natin instead na dapat eh nag-aaral.
