Above all, paintings from my fave local artist
Should I start with a rant?
Let me start by saying it was a hot today. No problem for we had ice cream when we got home and a cold shower.
So many people. Traffic is slow. Never mind that. Just enjoy what you can enjoy instead.
So, I'd rather not talk about that.
My partner and I decided to eat out for lunch. We were so tired from the amount of walking that we had yesterday that we decided put on hold hunting apartments. We took a cab from our place to the restaurant of our choosing. I did post a bit about that in hive.
Once done, we went to the mall to check if there is a certain laptop that my partner wanted to buy that is going to be used as back up for work.
Once there, we entered the mall by the new entrance which is by the parking area. It is my first time to pass by here since it opened. At the basement, the walls are bare and there were lots of blank spaces. I hope they put that to good use.
As we went higher, there were then paintings in the walls and I know right away that it was from the artist that I like: Venazir Martinez. According to the information that was placed by the wall, these were her works together with Taipan Lucero.
The use of colors and the lack of it is one the signatures of Ms. Martinez. How she portrayed her subjects is so her. The colors she uses are vibrant and seem to be of the same hue just like those that you can see on some walls around the city.
This is one of her works displayed before in one of the parks.
If you notice in the photos the rings behind the subjects, that is the work of Taipan Lucero.
You can learn more about both of these artists here:
I was trying to search for the photos I have of some of her works but I couldn't seem to find them. I have already deleted some of those from my phone to give way for new photos. You can clearly see the red lines that was mentioned in the description above. So that is what the red line is all about. When I saw her works, I did notice the red lines and now I know what that means.
So once we are done with our purpose at the mall, we then headed to a cafe to meet an insurance agent that my partner is interested in joining. If you are familiar with IMG/Kaiser here in the Philippines, then that is the insurance we want to join. My partner will be the one to join first for my partner has no insurance yet. I have mine that I am paying currently but with another insurance company.
What I like about Kaiser is that you get to pay seven years for your HMO and insurance and then investment as well. This focuses more on health insurance that you can use while you are alive. The insurance part and investment are for later on in life. Unlike with other insurance, it's not "life" insurance but rather "death" insurance. You only get to use that once you're dead. Of course there are other add-ons like accident insurance and such.
It's really best to start when you are young and get insured. The younger you are, the lesser the pay. If you plan to get one, I suggest my fellow Filipino readers to check Kaiser/IMG and compare it to other insurances. I am not affiliated with Kaiser just yet. If only I had known about this earlier before signing up to the insurance I have right now, then I would have been halfway through my seven years and probably be buying another plan already. You only get to pay the first seven years and then let it mature for 13 years so you can enjoy more of your investment.
Then again, only invest if you have extra money.
So there goes my Sunday. No use ranting about it but rather see the beauty of the day instead. Again, I'll be leaving you after this post so check on my noise account then off to bed.
I hope this day is treating you well. What blessings have you received today?
I loveee it! Ang galing ng artist 😍 At talaga namang sobrang init Kuya Lee, nagrereklamo din ako nyan halos everyday ee hahahaha
