Devs talking about votes, while at the end of the day they make decisions as important as taking away 50% of the miners' power. For the important things the devs don't vote.

Miners can mine to continue the block they want. But to get the incentive, they need the majority of hashpower to freely decide to continue their block.

Markets are the "hodlers parliament" (absolute power in long-term). There are a precedent for hashpower voting with 90% participation. But it is an impossible quorum to reach by voting with money....

I think hashpower voting is the only option to make decisions about the blockchain in a legitimate and effective way, without split risk. And BMP is probably the most advanced solution to do this....
