I agree with you there's no freedom. Freedom only exists if we think it does. Freedom is a feeling. The CBDC will use the block chain to chain, not to free. 💕🍀

Do you truly believe once the CBDC is introduced worldwide crypto currency will still make a chance? Any idea how to lay hands on it if governments control and shut us off from electricity?

The government will do its best to have a monopoly over the financial system. But cryptocurrency makes a difference. The government comes up with bans, high taxes and CBDC to retain its power and co...

I think the paper currency will be there. But there will be more use of digital currency, that is, cryptocurrency and CBDC.

Yes, it will take time. They are not in a hurry. They will test it before officially launch CBDC>

I don't think people will accept CBDC after knowing what it is meant to do.

People will choose what is best for them. The government may force its citizen at some point to use CBDC. This will definitely not look good.

I looked up to see about the Indian CBDC, realised that only a few banks support it and I don't have accounts in that, lol. RBI's approach to crypto has kind of created a negative impact on common p...

We will see more initiatives like this in the future. I don't like CBDC. It seizes freedom and control.

I read there are 105 countries currently looking into CBDC, so I think we can safely say there is more to come. So far no country has passed on them, wich is kind of interesting.

I agree with you. The government and central bank will do their best to have complete control. With CBDC, they plan to control the monetary system directly.

Once CBDC launches, it will be good for the central bank. They can have more control over the financial system. It will bring benefits at the cost of freedom. It is clear that crypto and blockchain...

CBDC - Smells like CeFi. Tbh, I don't think many will adopt it and it's kind of a joke when we already have USDC/USDT and many more.

I think the problem itself is not whether PoW is environmentally unfriendly. But rather, the obstacle that some cryptos constitute for the imposition of CBDC. It is at stake, the power itself.

On BTC and CBDC, you're quite right. The crypto space is been threatened by these innovation but while some networks like BCH are poised to put up a good fight, BTC stands no chance
