Remember Me
After a few minutes of watching motor cross, Czak got a bit bored and I entertained him with taho. Taho is made of soya and tapioca pearls and caramel and is best when served hot. I tried watching video tutorials on youtube on how to make one because the feed mill where I work has got lots of soya beans but I realized they are feed grade and are not suited to be eaten by humans.
This looks messy now because the husband is using my phone and I have to shake it so that Czak can consume it already. This is usually served like this but people can use their own cups too.
The large cup is worth 20 pesos and the smaller one is 10. way back before the pandemic, the small cup is sold for 5 pesos and the large cup for 10. it doubled its price in just a span of over two years.
That made Czak feel full and he said he wanted to poop. Czak is not comfortable using different restrooms, back in our house, whenever he feels like he should go and he is in my mother's home, he insists on going home so he could do it. the good thing is that he got used to Nanay's rest room too.
Earlier that day, we saw my mother's friend selling food along the street and told her we will back and Czak made it so, we asked her if we could use her rest room but all Czak did was urinate. He even asked my husband to look for her store so she could accompany us inside.
Back in the store, my husband got curious about the hot pot near the chair so he asked Auntie what it is and she said it was RM. OI once heard that RM stands for Remember me; it is a soup made cow's "labit-labit" ( excess fat and tissue, not the lean itself), and sometimes the reproductive organs of a cow.
We asked first what she included in the soup and said it was beef lean so we decided to eat; after all, it is past 11 am already.
She served us plenty of rice for only fifteen pesos and the soup is 40. Czak did not eat much so only the husband and I ate the food. Hubby said it lacks flavor but solved it after he put two chilies but did not feel hot at all.
Here is the motor cross that I mentioned above. It is so dusty and we did n to even dare to come closer.
This is the view from the bench where we sat and ate. Some day, this will be a very busy road because it is a diversion road from Mantibugao to Tagoloan, the bridge on the other part is not yet finished so only a few trucks come and pass by.
Thsi is Auntie Neta's store. She had been selling food and more for more than a year already.
Here is Czak drinking coke from a green glass. it's funny because lies green but keeps calling it blue. I bet he had so much fun in our little adventure.
