Some ways to Manage our Stress
Are you stress out? Maybe yes or maybe not? But one thing is for sure stress is a part of our everyday life. Agree? Stress is the feeling of being overwhelmed or unable to cope with mental or emotional pressure. **Source** And everyday we cope up with different stress at home, our work, school, and even in every relationship. Stress can make us ugly too, that’s why we need to take up some stresstabs to get that glowing face back. Ok just kidding, but to be honest I used to drink those multivitamins before and I think it really works well with me. One stresstabs a day keeps the stress away. So what if we don’t have enough money to buy some of these supplements to manage our stress? Let me share some strategies or ways we can do to manage stress in our life. https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/a-to-z/s/stress
*Identify and eliminate stressors*
What is stressor? A stressor is anything that causes the release of stress hormones. Source Basically there were a lot of stressors in our life, and unfortunately we can't reduce it one time. So the best thing to do is make a list of all the stressors you have in your life, either big or small. Some examples of it are job interviews, financial crisis, marriage and so many more. From then on you can identify what to change or you want to eliminate. For instance, if you have a lot of commitments that gives you a lot of stress on that same day, start reducing it. Organization is the key. If you can manage your stress successfully for sure you can eliminate the stressors as well too. https://humanstress.ca/stress/what-is-stress/stressors/
*Taking a Break*
“Have a break have a kitkat” This is a famous commercial line from one of my favorite chocolate. When everything seems to be out of hand, rest will definitely one of best solution. If you got tired or burned out with your everyday responsibilities, then take a rest or have some break. C’mon I know we all deserve a good relaxation after a long stressful work. You can simply pause for a while, take a nap and enjoy the rest of the day taking a break. Isn’t it the reason why we take some day off or rest day at work for us to give ourself a me time. And don’t forget we also take vacation from school to give our minds a break from all the hassles in school.
*Get enough Rest*
Having a break isn’t enough. Getting a proper rest can be a big help in managing our stress. If we are tired because of our everyday routine that causes us a lot of stress it will make us less patience. And you know too well what will happened next. We tend to overreact in a certain situations if we are tired. We would probably make a bad decision which will cause more stress in the future. So what to do? Set a proper bedtime for you to get a better sleep. A good sleep will make us feel better and view things in a more positive ways.
*Proper Diet and Exercise*
“You are what you eat” Do you believe in this expressions? If you would ask me, my answer is yes. A balanced diet gives our body the proper nutrition which is required to boost your energy and function well in everything we do. Actually we have the tendency to eat unhealthy food in the midst of stress. Keep in mind that if we have an unhealthy body we can’t deal with all the stress. So let’s make it a habit to have a nutritious meal most specially when we are under stress.
Physical fitness on the other hand, is also as important as our well being. There have been many claims or testimonies that says getting a regular exercise or work out can helped in managing stress. So what are you waiting for, a 15 minute work out from home is enough so that you can release all the stress in your body.
*Sense of Humor*
Laugh it out loud. There are times when we are under stress, we tend to lose our sense of humor. On our job for example, when the higher ups were pressuring us, we become too serious that we forget to even laugh. Laughing can make us feel good and it can even break some tension. It can also make the hard situation more lighter. So next time, don’t take everything seriously and look for something funny in every hard situation. After all laughter is still the best medicine.
*Final Message*
Life is too short they say, so why make it harder when you can enjoy the rest of it. Same with all the stress we had in life. Don’t let it control your life. By properly managing it, I am sure you can make your life more fun. With doing some of these strategies I know we can all manage our stress successfully.

He’s going Home
October 13, 2021
Today is Thursday. The second week of October is almost done just like that. Pretty fast right? The month of December is just around the corner and it only means one thing, new year is about to come. Are you excited about that? One thing I am most excited right now, my husband Anthony is going home soon and that only means one thing we’re gonna celebrate our holidays together again. He was supposed to finished his contract next year but because of sudden changes they will go home early and was provided a return contract hopefully in the first quarter of 2022.
So today joined me as we travelled back to when my husband was away from us. He always keep us updated from the time he leaves our house up until he started his first duty. Oh before anything else let's give some love to these beautiful souls.
Leaving the Country
On June 22 this year, my husband was scheduled for a hotel quarantine before he could finally took his flight. We took him to the hotel and bid our goodbye for a while, since we were going to see each other again after two days. He was scheduled for two days hotel quarantine and then in the next morning he was scheduled for swab test as it was a requirement before you can leave the country. Glad he got a negative results, which means he can now proceed on his flight. We fetched him again on the hotel and had our last dinner out with the family. It was literally dinner out as we ate our take out dinner in the parking lot near Mall of Asia. It was the nearest mall where the hotel, he stay on for quarantine located and at the same time, we were going to fetched his friend who were also quarantine in the hotel around the vicinity of Mall of Asia. They both have the same flight so they agreed to come at the airport together. Moreover, the airport was just a few minutes ride from Mall of Asia. When we arrived at the airport, we finally bid our goodbye, hugged for the last time and said some words of encouragement as my husband Anthony was going to be far away from us again.
The good thing about our technology was that it can finally keep us updated with our loved ones, no matter how miles away they were from us. He updated me from the time they arrived at their first stop. They stopped in Incheon Airport at Korea where they waited for about six hours before they were called for their next flight. He took some pictures and sent in to me from time to time. After a couple of hours, they finally arrived at LA airport, stayed their for a while before they took their last flight going to Seattle. Fun fact here, you can easily tell if the traveller was from the Philippines because he/she was wearing a faceshield aside from face mask 😁 Well safety first is the motto for most of us.
Arriving at Work
After sometime, they finally arrived at the Seattle and was sent to hotel to stay for a while. They needed to stay there for a few days more because they have to wait for their assigned ship. So while he was there, they were not allowed to go outside the hotel room, so Anthony spent the rest of his days talking to us and watching movies. One thing that amazed me while he was at Seattle was that daytime stays longer than nighttime. The sunsets at around 8 to 9 pm there. It was just so cool because back in our country by 6 pm, it was already dark outside. He stayed for a few more days at the Westin Hotel in Seattle before he was taken to the port along with the other crew when their ship finally arrived.
But of course, before they checked out, they had a series of swab test to make sure no one has contacted covid while they were at the hotel. And lastly Anthony and the rest of the crew were vaccinated before they can finally get on board. After some more minutes of waiting, he was finally given a room inside the ship where they would have to spend 14 more days of quarantine before they officially starts their first duty. It was actually nice as the room given to them were the guest rooms. It was far from their crew cabin. While you were on quarantine, you were like having a cruise, it just that you weren’t allowed to go outside. Some room service crew, brought them food everyday. Everyday there was a temperature check, and every week, they need to be swab test. It was on repeat up until the quarantine period is done and then after Anthony got to finally report on his first duty.
Going Back
After just almost four months, Anthony is going home. Their ship was about to go down in Australia, unfortunately though Australian government doesn’t approved any cruise line within their water, the ship have to make some crucial decisions which is to sent home the rest of the crew. They have to cancel the rest of the cruises for the following months. It was sad news, because my husband Anthony is the breadwinner of our family. But we cannot do something about it. I just hope that great things will come along the way after this. What I am excited about is that he can be with us during the holidays. Right now, they were on their last cruise and he is going home after that. And I can’t wait to see and hug him in the next couple of days.

Wednesday Sentiments
Hello everyone. It has been raining the whole day yesterday. Probably because of the typhoon that hit the northern part of our country. The news from the affected area is so sad to see. I hope everyone are coping up well with this another yet typhoon. I know this too shall pass. And today I woke up early even though I want to stay in bed for a little longer because of the cold weather. My kids have their online class in the morning. As my youngest son was having an online class with their Filipino subject one of their lesson tackles about following instructions. While I was busy doing household chores inside the house, I didn’t notice my child was having a hard time following his teacher. So I came to the rescue, and told him it was just an easy task. He just needs to follow what his teacher was asking him to do. At first I was really annoyed at him because it was just an easy instruction but when it comes to playing mobile games they got it perfectly. So as a punishment I didn’t allowed him to play mobile games for today. Actually I only allowed to them to play at least one hour a day, but their were times that they exceeded on that. Bad mommy here. 😅
To be honest, eversince the pandemic started they can no longer play outside. Prior to pandemic they usually played outside together with the kids from the neighbourhood. Sometimes they spent for about 1 to two hours playing outside and it really saddened me because they haven’t done this for almost two years in a row. Well, they were able to roam outside the village for about a week, they got to ride their bike again after so many months of being stocked up in the garage but for some reason, they weren’t allowed again. We lived in a small village and ever since the pandemic started we had positive cases recorded in the village from time to time. So for everyone’s sake, the acting officers of the homeowners association always reminds us not to let the children and the senior citizens to go outside. Because of these scenario,I can’t blame why kids today are all hooked up with their gadgets. They were deprived from playing outside for long, so they actually didn’t have choice but to divert their attention on gadgets that gives them entertainment for a while. It’s quite alarming though because we adults knew the effects of these updated technologies on young generations.
Since the kids weren’t allowed to play mobile games today, they had no choice but to play with their toys instead. On top of their favorite toys, were megablocks and legos. They were actually both building blocks but megablocks were a lot bigger than lego. I got these blocks when my first born was just two years old and can you imagine after almost ten years, my kids were still enjoying building anything from it. My youngest preferred playing it than lego. Lego on the other was first born child favourite toy. He liked it ever since that was why he always got a lego as presents during special occasions when he was young. He actually built his own legoland inspired by watching lego videos on youtube.
I don’t really know how to end this article since what I have written just came out from nowhere. I don’t even know what title is appropriate for this article.😅Nevertheless I want to thank everyone who came this far. Thank you spending your precious time to dropped by.
Before I end this up, please don’t forget to give some love to all the profile on my sponsors list. They’re all simply amazing.

One True Friend
So yesterday I had a long conversation with my best friend in college. We rarely talk via video call because of time difference, she is in New York while I am in the Philippines and also I was busy with the kids while she was busy with her work. But when we find time to talk, expect it to be long, I think we started talking at around 9 in the evening up until I notice it’s already midnight. We didn’t notice the time actually as we were both busy catching up with so many stories. Talked about different issues, our old friends and anything that we can talked to. I just missed her a lot.
*Meeting in College*
My best friend Janifa and I has been friends for more than a decade. We became friends during our second year in college. We both belong to different section during our first year and on the the second year we eventually became classmates. I never thought we would be really close since we both have different sets of friends. She was also the extrovert one while I was introvert. You see we have opposite qualities yet we clicked. Opposite really attracts right? I remembered back then, during enrollment time, I would always came late at school because I live far from the school. I lived in Marikina and our school was located in Manila. Because I would always came late, the long queue in the registrar office during enrollment process would always welcome me. That happened to me a lot of time and waiting for your turn was really frustrating and annoying. But eversince I meet my friend Janifa I never had to wait for long. Unlike me, she was living with her relatives which was just a walking distance from school. Since that was the case she always finished her enrollment early. When we became close to each other, she would always reserved a seat for me, so that by that time I arrived at the school I didn’t have to wait that long. Our friendship continued until our last year in college. We were really inseparable by that time that we even took our on the job training at the same place. During our last year too, I would always go to her place and we had a series of sleep over. After graduation, we were together looking for jobs, even though she didn’t need it since she was leaving the country anytime soon that year.
*Long Distance Friendship*
She went to New York in 2008 and I was very happy for her because she married the love of her life. We never stopped getting in touch even though we were both at the other side of the earth. I would always received an overseas call from her from time to time, during her 1st year in the US just to keep me updated with her new life. It took years before she came back to the Philippines. And I was very happy of course, because she finally met my two kids. By the way, she was a godmother to both of my kids. After her first visit, she came back every year. She would always meet us and treat me and the kids well. The last time we’ve seen each other was in 2019. She was also here in 2020 but because of Covid, we didn’t met up. Now two years had passed and I am missing her more, she was also hoping she could go back next year and according to her she will stay long for around 6 months in her next visit. Ah I can’t wait to meet her soon.
Even though we’ve only talked very often for the past years due to busy schedules, Janifa was so thoughtful to me. She never forgot to give me a birthday and Christmas card every year via snail mail. Even in these modern times, with all the emails and messengers available, she still prefer sending those cards to me. She even sent me a postcard of Eiffel tower when she went to Paris last time. I may not have a lot of friends but who cares, a single one who was someone you can lean on and would never leave you specially in times of need was more than enough.
*Final Thoughts*
We always had that one special friend in our life. That one true friend who will never let you down and will continue to support you no matter what. He/she will be the one to stay, when everyone seems to be leaving you. I am glad I was able to meet one and I hope you are too.
Thanks everyone for getting this far. I am out of topic to share so I hope you can bear with this. If you have something to share about your best friend too, please feel free to write it down.
Thanks to this beautiful souls for always for giving me their support and trust. Allow me to thank my new sponsor @Expelliarmus30 Thank you dear for giving me your full trust and support. God bless you all.

Collect them all
Do you love collecting? Do you consider yourself a collector too? I know you do, everyone of us have this particular item we love to collect either coins, bags, shoes, books and so many more collectibles items. I remember back when I was college, I love collecting tissue or table napkin from any food chains or restaurants I went to. Unfortunately it was gone because I need to move from one place to another when I started working. Of course I was sad because of that, I tried collecting again but later on I lost interest on it.
Fridge Magnets
I got interested again on collecting things because of my husband. Since he was working on a ship overseas, he got the chance to visit different places and countries. He wants something as a remembrance from that particular place that’s why he started collecting fridge magnets. He travelled a lot in so many countries, perks of working in a cruise ships. I think his first travel destination was in caribbean countries, back when we were still boyfriend and girlfriend. That was more than a decade ago too. He mentioned to me that there was so many great islands over there.
I can’t exactly remember now how many countries he’s been to. But during his first years, he stayed in North America for quite sometime because most of the cruise ships were there. Then next stop, he went to mediterranean sea. Oh he’s been to Europe too, luckily he got the chance to be at Vatican. He actually bought some rosary there, and when he got home he gave it to some of his relatives. Of course, he wouldn’t miss the fridge magnets. I can say that the fridge magnets from other countries were pretty awesome, just that some can easily be broken if dropped that’s why you have to handle it with care.
Plate Display
When he got in Asia, aside from fridge magnets which was very common there, he also bought some plate display which was pretty nice too. It comes in different sizes, designs and also good to give to someone as present too. He never missed to bought one from every country he visited in Asia. He even asked me for what designs were good because he was talking to me while he was buying it. So yeah, I was able to have a virtual tour too while my husband was roaming in every country. They have limited time so he makes sure to buy any remembrance from that country.
Paper Bills
Another addition to his collections were paper bills from different countries . We put it in a frame and hanged in on the wall. He actually got it from some of his co-workers and some were tips from guests. There were times, specially when I am out of money I can’t helped but to think of converting some of it, but then upon checking it’s price on the foreign exchange site I changed my mind instantly. I guess it would be better if it just stayed on the wall. 😅 Need I say more? I think you knew the answer.
Oh by the way my son’s is fond of collecting too. He likes to build a lot that’s why he loves his lego a lot that even at his age, he still keeps on building. And just yesterday, I saw him playing his robot friends. He has this thing for building since he’d like to be an engineer someday according to him. This robots were really hard to build, one missed step from the instructions manual and you’re going to start all over again.
Closing Thoughts
We all have different interests and likes in life. So does collections. Probably some were having fun now collecting different cryptocurrency while I’d like to have that too one day, I better stick with our bch first. I believe there’s so much more I need to learn before I venture with others. Our collection doesn’t cost that much and it’s also cheap compare to what others collects, but you know the joy it gives everytime there is an addition to it was just fulfilling. I hope we can add more to it in the future.
Are you fond of collecting too? Well you can share it by writing down a comment below. You can talk about it too, and I would really appreciate it if you do. This is my entry for today. This was supposed to be published yesterday but because I have so many crafts to be done, I wasn’t able to make it.
And lastly don’t forget to give some love to all the lovely souls on my sponsors list. They were all amazing and great. Kindly check their profile too and be ready to be inspired by their beautiful stories.

When the Going gets tough
Last week of September when my husband Anthony told me about the rumours going on inside the ship’s where he was currently on board about the ship ongoing status. Their ship’s itinerary was Alaska and their home port was in Seattle, Washington. The Alaska Cruise season will be ended this month of October and they’re supposed to move down in Australia. That was the plan, unfortunately Australia hasn’t given a go signal yet for any cruise ship within their water. A few days back, Anthony told me about the staff meeting and the rumours ongoing inside their ship finally confirmed. Their ship will officially be out of service for the meantime and will be back early next year. That also means all crew will be sent home with some compensation and will be provided with a return assignment and travel arrangements when they sign off.
*Good News*
The good news is that, he is going to spend his holiday with us. We all know how it felt to have your family complete during this kind of celebration. He will also be here on his birthday as well as my youngest son’s birthday. They shared the same birth month, that’s why we usually celebrated it one time. It’s gonna be blast again even though we’re going to celebrate in a very simple way. We have limited sources that’s why we need to spend our hard earned money wisely too. The most important thing is, he is gonna be with us again. Hurray!
*Bad News*
The bad news is our planned travel next year will be cancel. Supposedly, next year we will be celebrating our 10th year wedding anniversary, and we already planned on how to celebrate it. Going to the summer capital of the Philippines was the original plan, as both of us haven’t got the chance to visit the place yet. It will be exciting as the kids will be with us too. I was actually looking forward about it, but because of the current situation, I guess it would be much better to cancel it and then try it again next time.
*Back-up Plan*
What’s the back up plan? Honestly, I am a little worried but happy with the news that Anthony is going home soon. He was just away for at least 4 months and we haven’t had any decent savings yet. What to do? So while we were talking on via video call, he told me that he’s going to continue his courier career. It was actually a delivery service/courier which is also affiliated with shopee and lazada just like ninjavan and lalamove to name a few. He had tried it before he goes on back to work again for a few times. He has to stopped because he was scheduled for his medical. Now that this circumstances is happening, we need to do something so that we won’t be struggling in the end.
*Be positive*
No matter what happen, be sure to stay positive at all times well except for covid😅 Entertaining negative thoughts would just stressed us out. So its a big no no. They said that “ A single positive thought, can erase all the negative one”. I can’t help myself not to be worried for the next days, but I know God will always be there to provide for our needs, just like he did in the past years. We’ve overcome so much difficulties in the past, I know we can do it again by looking at the brighter side again.
*Closing Thoughts*
I know a lot of us are going through different challenges of life. There are times we wanted to just stop and give up. I think it’s okay to rest, but giving up will never be a good thing to do. Taking a rest for a while while gathering all your inner strength is much better than quitting. When everything is going out of control, relax your mind and keep calm. Always keep in mind that everything happens for a reason. And lastly don’t forget to pray, for God’s help is just along the way.

Learning how to swim
What’s up everyone? Today is Friday and it means I have to write some flashbacks. I can’t think of a nice topic to share, so today I would like to share to you one fun activity my kids done last summer 2019. So without any more interruptions let’s start.
Summer 2019
In summer of 2019, we opted not to go home in the province for vacation. By the way summer time in the Philippines took place during the months of April to May. Usually students academic school ended during the last week of March to 1st week of April. Followed by the two month long vacation. The reason we didn’t went to the province because I enrolled my kids for a swimming lesson that summer. So the budget for vacation all went up for the swimming lesson. I actually wanted them to learn how to swim so that they can enjoy swimming more. Swimming is also one of a survival skills each of us should learn. In this way I will feel more confident leaving them behind, whenever we have some excursions in the future.
Enrolled
On the first week of April that year, I already found a school where they offered a swimming lesson for the rest of the summer. I mentioned it to my neighbor Grace and she immediately wanted to enrolled her two boys too. They were actually my kids playmates and friends at the same time. The swimming school was just near our place, it was actually affiliated in one of the schools nearby, just a 5 to 10 minutes jeep ride away from home. **Bert Lozada swim school** was a known swim school for everyone who wanted to learn how to swim and they also offered a lot of categories to choose from. When Grace and I finally decided on which date and time we will let our children start their swimming lesson, we prepared all the requirements needed. Basically the requirements were just a picture, 2x2 and 1x1 in sizes specifically which will be used in their identification card, and of course the payment for the swimming lesson. We were also told to bring googles, swim cap and a kick board/ float board during the first day of lesson. https://www.bertlozadaswimschool.com/
The lesson begin
The kids were just excited as the mommies when we told them that they will soon start their swimming lesson. There will be a total of 11 days, 1 hour per session that was included in the package for the price of 3500php and an additional 500php for the registration fee. We choose the morning session so that the heat of the sun was not on it’s peak. On our first day, since Grace has a car and she knows how to drive, my kids and I joined them, up until the swimming lesson ended.
Before they began with the basic swimming lesson, all kids on the same batch were divided according to their ages. They were also assigned to different coaches. And then afterwards they began to stretched those arms and legs as a warm up before they could start and get into the pool. All guardians were not allowed to get inside the pool area, so Grace and I were just sitting on the waiting area, while having some chit chats. We were also watching the kids and took some pictures for remembrance and well for fb purposes too. And just like that, the first day was done.
The same procedures was done on the second day up until 10th day. The kids were taught how to not get scared of the water, basic floating and some basic swimming strokes like freestyle. Well actually, before the swimming lesson started, we guardians were oriented that they cannot guarantee that kids will be able to learn how to swim after the lesson ended. Some easily learned while others didn’t. That was ok with me actually since I was planning to continue the lesson in the following year same with Grace.
On the 11th day, also the last day of lesson, they gathered all the students of the same batch. They did some fun activities and parents were allowed inside the pool area. Since it’s the last day, it was like a graduation and the parents/guardians were just so excited as the kids. They had mini swimming competition and all cheered for their own team. It was a fun activity and we were looking forward for the next swimming lessons in the future.
The day after their swimming lesson, my kids were so excited to try if they learned the new skill. There was a small swimming pool in our village, so we got there early in the morning. During that time of the day only few went for swimming. Kids in the village usually went late or sometimes in the afternoon for swimming. My first born did learned some basic stroke and basic floating while my youngest was still nervous getting into the deep water, so yeah he stays on the kiddie pool while doing some dog paddles.
Conclusion
My firstborn actually learned how to swim after that. He kinda shows off his swimming skills by going into the deep water and I can see that he was enjoying it. And I can say he is a good swimmer than me. Should I enroll next time? My youngest was a little nervous going into the deep water, but he was persistent in trying to cross the deep water by doing some strokes. I know with some more practice he can also do it well. Just remember, even though our kids knows how to swim don’t let them swim alone. It’s the number one rule before swimming. Accidents can happen anytime, so never let our eyes off them.

September this year, when the **online class the second time around** begin. I actually expected it since my sister in law who is working as a public elementary teacher in Quezon City already mentioned to me about the same modality to be used again this year. She said that face to face set up seems to be impossible because of the high cases of corona virus recorded. Though it’s a little frustrating, the kids should **never stop learning**. https://read.cash/@yhanne/online-class-the-second-time-around-f9e57213 https://read.cash/@yhanne/never-stop-learning-967cb88f
A week before the **first day of school**, I was scheduled on my second dose of inoculation. My **covid 19 vaccine journey** went so well as I didn’t get to experience what I have seen and reported on the television. Everything was organised and the proper health protocols were strictly implemented. I finished my second jab in less than 30 minutes much earlier than my first one. https://read.cash/@yhanne/first-day-of-school-7590433c https://read.cash/@yhanne/covid-19-vaccine-journey-bf6629f9
On the following weeks, because of reported high cases of coronavirus within our city, there has been a rumour that our village will be in a granular lockdown. I was glad because the officials sent a clarification regarding this and just ordered the homeowners to **stay home to save lives.** This was much better because at least I can still go out to buy our foods and some essential needs. https://read.cash/@yhanne/stay-home-to-save-life-950400f9
Being a **full time mother** is hard but also a fulfilling job. There were also times that I miss going to a regular jobs, and doing things like a working mom supposed to do. I stopped working months after I gave birth to my first son, until then I wasn’t able to get back to work. My husband works for our family thus he was in charge in financial aspect while I am in charge in spending it😁 Anthony, my husband has been working overseas for more than 10 years already. He works for about 6 to 7 months outside the country and goes for vacation for the next two months. The cycle goes on and on. And for more than 10 years of being in a **long distance relationship** I can finally say it’s worth it. https://read.cash/@yhanne/job-description-full-time-mother-9593d7ca https://read.cash/@yhanne/ldr-is-it-worth-it-eb82ec76
The month of September was also a very busy month for me. Just like last year, I have to make crafts which are **handmade with love**. I received a lot of inquiries for the last month and some wanted **customized crafts** too. I was actually happy because of these inquiries because it means I can have extra money for this coming Christmas. That is the reason why I slept late this past few days so I can make more stocks of it. https://read.cash/@yhanne/handmade-with-love-aba70a2a https://read.cash/@yhanne/my-customized-crafts-2ebecd2c
Time passed by so fast, I just can’t believe that one of the super typhoon Ondoy happened 12 years ago. It feels like it was just yesterday. I suddenly remembered the unforgettable tragedy I had ever experienced. **Remembering typhoon Ondoy** brought out all the bad memories back I had during that day. All the worries, fear and tense I felt during that one frightful night suddenly comes back. I think no matter how many years will pass the trauma of it will always comes back. https://read.cash/@yhanne/remembering-typhoon-ondoy-e27aa18a
My ****Yumi turns 3**** last month. This little ball of sunshine celebrated her third year with us. I wish we could spend more years with her. She makes our life more happier. She gave us fun and each day with her is always the best. She is also friend with our cat Kuring, but she dislikes the other cat named Taba. The cats in the house were fun to be with too. My husband likes Taba, while I like Kuring. We treat them well, because **pets are family too****.** https://read.cash/@yhanne/yumi-turns-3-b7e748d0 https://read.cash/@yhanne/pets-are-family-too-ceb6c502
Now that weekend is coming, **my Saturday routine** will still be the same. All household chores are waiting and my laundry are waiving. It’s a really tiring day but I enjoy every bit of it. I guess when you love what you are doing, no matter how tiring or stressful it is, you will still find it fun to do. And after the tiring Saturday, I can’t really wait for the next day. **Spending Sunday with family** is without a doubt the best. This is the day that the family got to get together after the busy weekdays. We spent it usually in the cemetery where we always had a **sundate with mame**. My late mother in law will always be a part of our Sunday. Even though she is away from us now, I know she is always watching us from up above. https://read.cash/@yhanne/my-saturday-routine-431f9420 https://read.cash/@yhanne/spending-sunday-with-family-14cdf988 https://read.cash/@yhanne/sundate-with-mame-remembering-loved-ones-on-sunday-43c7d8cc

I never really thought I would come up with this challenge. Thanks to @Kelzy for inviting me. Well, did I make it? I hope I did. I actually had fun connecting each title of my past articles into a new one. Though I had a hard time including the other titles. This is all I can come up for now.😁 If you want to give it a try you can check **connecting each title to make a story** by @McJulez I know you’ll have fun while doing it too. Happy Teacher’s day
Today we are celebrating World’s Teacher Day. Hurray! This is the day that we give thanks to all the wonderful teachers in the world, and acknowledge all their great efforts is spreading the knowledge into their students. It’s been two years now since the students are missing the Teacher’s Day Celebration at school because of the current pandemic situation. I can still remember back then when I was in grade school that we need to make a greeting card for our adviser on the day of celebration. It was actually fun because it was appreciated by your teachers. A few decades later, my kids were doing the same with their teachers. Unfortunately two years had gone by without any physical celebration. Yesterday on my kids group chat at school, one student sent a greeting to their advisers and followed by everyone including my kids. Little did I know, the exact celebration was today. But nevertheless, whether the greetings was advance, on the same day or late, the thoughts was all that matters.
Anyway, I was supposed to write a different topic today but because of watching my favourite noontime show again earlier, I suddenly wanted to talked about them. Well to give you a brief summary, the topic was all about the teachers who were assigned into remote areas. When we say remote areas, these are the places that were out of the way, or places that were far from civilisation. There were many documentaries I’ve seen and heard on television and on the other portals about how dedicated these teachers were. Upon watching and listening to their stories, I ended up admiring them more.
*Education is for all*
Being a teacher in a normal school can already takes up a lot of stress and your time, what more if you were assigned in a remote area. Most of these places were located in a secluded area and their way of living were far different from what you used to. Probably no internet, and very limited sources. But the teachers who were sent to these places to teach didn’t stopped nor give up. They continue to pursue their promised duty to the country by imparting education to all. They believe that education is for everyone rich or poor, young or old, and whether you live in far places, they will come, so that the young generation from these remote places will have an access to free education.
*Characteristics of a teacher*
The **passion** of every teacher is so inspiring too, because as we all know, teaching is such an stressful profession. They’ve encountered a lot of difficulties dealing with their students that might let them give up, but the deep passion for teaching overtakes. Each teacher from these areas were so **patience**. They need to travel a long drive in order to get to their assigned places which usually takes hours. Some needs to cross rivers, seas and even high mountains for the love of teaching. Travelling already took a lot of time, so they prefer staying there for the whole week and just goes home during weekends. Staying there also means you’ll be away from your loved ones for quite sometime. It went on and on up until the academic year ended. What’s more inspiring was that some of these teachers were teaching in these places for around 7 years now. Can you imagine the **dedication** they gave for their profession? They were just so amazing. The **sincerity** and **understanding** they gave through their teaching despite all of the obstacles they were going through not only make me love them, but be proud of them.
*Final Thoughts*
We can all agree that all teachers were one of our modern day hero. Without them, all the successful professionals wouldn’t also be here. You and I can never learn how to write nor read. We might never know how to count numbers. And lastly, they were also there to nurture our good manners and right conduct. They weren’t just a teacher to us but they were considered as our parents in schools. Admit it or not, but we wouldn’t be what we were right now without the help of these wonderful teachers. So today let’s appreciate them more, so that they’ll be more happier fulfilling their duties in teaching the future generations.
Happy Teacher’s day Ma’am and Sir!

Secrets to a Long Lasting Relationship
Last week, as I was watching my favorite noontime show on television, one topic really caught my attention. Couples who were married for fifty years, wow! Isn’t it just so inspiring how these couples stays together for that long. Since I was so interested with them, I immediately stopped everything I was doing and focused on watching tv. Upon finishing the show, I listed some of their tips and secrets for a long lasting relationship. And today, let me share it all to you. Just a clarification, what I will enumerate were only based on what the couples had said on tv while they were interviewed. I just added some insights base on my opinion too. So let’s start.
*Commitment*
Number one on the list is commitment. The moment we marry our partner, we already promise to commit our whole life together with her/him. We also shared vows and promises in front of God and the rest of our loved ones. This lines say “in sickness and in health till death do us part”, this is a one big commitment that we shouldn’t ignore. Marriage is not a one man show. It will always involves the two of you in every decision making. In whatever you do, always consult or talked with your better half.
*Trust and Honesty*
Never ever lie to your partner/spouse. For me trust is like a fragile glass, once it’s broken, it can never go back to its original size and shape. Just like in every marriage, trust will always be tested between husbands and wives, and once it’s broken, we know that it can’t easily be fixed. We’ve heard a lot of different stories about broken trust between our neighbourhood, our friends, relatives and even the high profile people. And we know very well that trusting the same person who broke it is quite hard. Same goes with honesty. If you are honest to begin with, then there would never be a broken trust. Being honest is such a hard thing to do, but I think, it would be much better to be honest than to tell lies. Because at the end of the day, lying would just ate your conscience day after day until it gets worst.
*Being Thoughtful*
The act of being thoughtful is sometimes neglected in a relationship. During the first year of marriage being attentive to our other half is overflowing, but as years goes by we became inattentive with each other. This happens because of many factors within the family like new kids that need to be taken care of, and new jobs that takes your time and causes a lot of stress. We oftentimes neglect our partners during these stages, that was why we ended being distant. So to make things right, as a married couple, we should always have a time for each other despite the busy schedules. Set a time for a date, like you used to do before. It doesn’t have to be an extravagant or an expensive one, a simple appreciation dinner date for two will do.
*Loyalty*
What is loyalty? Being faithful to someone is something a lot of us struggled. But if you really love someone, you’ll remain faithful to her/him no matter what and that is the essence of loyalty. There would be a lot of temptation around your works, colleagues and everywhere, but would you remain loyal to your other half? My husband’s is working as a seaman, and there’s a lot rumours going here in our country about marrying a seaman. They said “seaman-loloko yan” (manloloko is a tagalog word for cheater), of course this was only a joke that lasted for decades already. Honestly though I was also affected by it, during our first years, but after almost 10 years of being together I can feel his faithfulness throughout our relationship.
*Love*
Love will always be the foundation of any relationship. And I also believe that this is the an important secret for a long lasting relationship just like others mentioned above. Isn’t it wonderful when you saw two old couples still acting lovey dovey even at their age. I really admire couples reaching that stage in their life yet so much in love with each other. I believe they’ve gone a lot in this life, but the love they’ve had still prevails. They stay true with each other and let their love overcomes every challenges they face all through out the years. I believe it was also love that makes them stay stronger for the rest of the years.
*Closing Thoughts*
As I was watching the 5 couples on television, 4 couples reached their 50th years anniversary this year, while the other one is on their 40th years, I am thinking if whether my husband and I will do the same in the future. I know we have a long long way to go before we can even reached half of it. With all the things I have mentioned above, I hope we can also do it. How about you? Do you have the same sentiments as mine? In addition to what I have stated earlier, communication will also play a big part if we want to have a long lasting relationship. Lack of communication can lead to misunderstandings and doubt, so to avoid these things better improve our communication with our other half.

A Quick Recap of my 1st Month
Exactly a month ago, when I finally have the courage to start a new journey here at read.cash. It was my second chance, that was why I did all the things I have never done with my old account. I started reading all the useful information a new user like me should know. I spent the whole day exploring the whole site by reading interesting articles and other topics that really caught my attention. Honestly, at first I was hesitated to leave any comment but then I keep thinking, for me to start a conversation with others, I needed to initiate first because I am the new one here. So from then on, I keep reading articles and tried to leave a comment related to the article itself. The process goes on until I finally published my first article. It goes on and on until time flies so fast I now reached my 1st month. So today, join me as I reminisced my whole month journey in this great platform.
27 articles in 30 days
Up until now I still can’t believe I was able to published 27 articles in the whole duration of my first month. All of my written articles were purely about my past experiences, short travel with the family and yeah mostly have something to do with me. Probably the reason why, I didn’t had a hard time writing because I personally got to experience it. I actually had fun writing those stuffs as I recalled all the happy memories with the family. Of course there were also sad ones, but upon sharing it to you, I felt that the burden finally lessened.
48 Subscribers
On my recent article, I mentioned about my old account that stays up to 6 months yet without even a single subscriber. Funny right? Well it’s because I never interacted with it and I only opened it every once in a while. Since I wanted a new start, I think being friendly to everyone would make me comfortable while being here. Though there were times that the introvert me is kicking, I did my best to get in touch with others. And I want to thank everyone who is in my 48 subscribers list, I may not know you personally, but I’d like to inform you, that you will always have a special place in my heart.
Sponsors
With all honesty, I never really thought someone would sponsor me right away. I felt so special that someone has given me their full trust and believes in what I can do. They were like assuring me that, “Hey you can do it okay, we are just at your back, keep on going” With that in my mind, I tried to give my best to put my heart through my written articles. Let me also take this chance to tag all my of lovely sponsors. @Marinov , @Momentswithmatti , @Bloghound , @Khing14 , @MizLhaine , @Freedom007 , and @Itsfarah You’re all amazing and great guys. Thanks for giving me a chance to show to everyone that I can do it too. You were all wonderful and I am glad through this platform, we’ve come to know each other.
Earnings
I wasn’t really expecting any amount on my first month, because as I’ve said I am not a good writer. And I easily got intimidated if I read someone’s works using articulate words in their articles. But I set aside those intimidation, and keep in my mind, that even though I am not a good writer, I can be a good storyteller. 😁 (Over confident eh?) Well, going back, would you believe I earned more than $50 in a month. It’s already big for me guys, I know some of you earned much bigger than I do, but I am very much fine with these earnings. And I would never possibly make it without the help I got from you. For now all of my earnings will be added for my 1bch goal this year. I just hope the price wouldn’t increase high or else I might convert it😅
500 views🎉
Finally, before I crossed my one month I am glad to announced to you that I already reached 500 views. Isn’t it great. I just remembered I had a conversation with @Kelzy a few days back, I was congratulating her for her 1000 views, she asked me then how many views I got, I told her I don’t know yet, and it will probably takes time before I unlock the 500 views, then a few days after and tsadaa, I received a red notification stating I received a 500 views. And again thanks to you all, for sharing your most precious time reading all my works.
Sharing is Caring
During the first month too, I was able to sponsor 5 users. I am planning to sponsored some users in the next few days. I think it’s the best way to give thanks for all these achievements I made for the whole month.
Goals for next month
Now this is harder than I thought. It isn’t really me if I set a goals. But for the next days, I will still try to post at least one everyday. But of course I will keep interacting with all of you. The coming month will be a such a busy month for me as I have many errands to do. I just don’t want to set a goal yet, which in the end will just stressed me out. See I am already stressing out here. hahaha! Just don’t start me with these goal thing because it triggers me😁
I think that would be all for today. Thanks for joining me as I recap all the things that happened in the last month. If you have a similar journey kindly write it down on the comment below. And if you have any suggestions, and objections please feel free to give me a message. 😅

What I Did on September?
New account, new Journey
A beautiful day to all! It’s the second day of the October and whew I still can’t believe I did make it this far. As you know I have heard read.cash for a very long time already, I think from the time I made my noise account, I had seen a lot of post regarding this platform, I actually made one. But only for the sake of registration, I rarely visit my old account before because I don’t know anyone from there. I also tried posting an article there without knowing the rules and all. I never interact with others too, that was why my old account reached 6 months without even a single subscriber.😅 I just focused on my noise account that time too. You can check my noise account ***here*** and let’s all be friends. Just last month, I am seeing a lot of my virtual friends in noise, about making a successful journey in read.cash, so I was like can I do it too? At first I was really hesitant because I am not that confident with constructing a sentence, what more a whole article. It took me days before I finally decided to make a new account to start a brand new journey, and abandoned my old account. I started reading all the rules read.cash has provided which I had failed to do in my old account. I looked for articles which can help me start anew on this platform. I really thought I would get bored reading a lot of articles this site has provided but later on, I found myself reading for more and got really motivated by each article. I also started interacting with other users by leaving a comment related on their articles. https://noise.cash/u/yhanne
First Impressions
After getting along with the platform, it encouraged me to write a short post and finally published my first article. Unfortunately, Rusty didn’t visit me on my first published article, it didn’t encouraged me tho, because someone upvoted and leave a comment at the same time. For me it was like an achievement unlocked that someone noticed my first article. Hurray! On the following day, I posted my second article. It was about one of our furbaby Yumi. It was her 3rd birthday that day, so why not post an article dedicated to her. I was so happy and overwhelmed as Rusty visited me for the first time and I also received my 1st and second sponsors. I feel like I was on a cloud 9 because of these new achievements I received on the same day. Because of that, it encourages me more to write from my heart. Honestly, I really thought at first, to be able to join in this platform you need to post an article related to cryptocurrency only, but of course in the end I was proven wrong.
Meeting Friends
When I started interacting with some users I honestly feel shy but feels welcomes when I received an upvote from my comment. Later on as days by I got to know more of them through their articles. I am so overwhelmed by the warm welcome I received from others as a newbie. The introvert in me just flew away and I became more friendlier here than I did in the real world. In the short time of stay, I want to let you guys to know, that I am so happy to meet you all. I will forever cherished the virtual friendship I built with some here and let me also extend my gratitude to all other friends I meet from the other countries. It was nice meeting you all too. I am always looking forward for our next interaction.
Little Achievements
I believe big achievements always starts from small one. Let me share to you what I was able to achieved in the past month. In the month of September, I was able to published 25 articles. Believe me guys, even I myself can’t believe I was able published all those articles. Most of my articles were just from my past experiences, my everyday life, my family and my crafts. So basically this was all just like what I did in my noise account, but with more detailed information. Also there’s nothing interesting with it that’s why I am so thankful for those who supported me right from the start. Honestly, I was more confident to share all of it here than in any other platform without the fear of being judged. This platform is probably the friendliest site I’ve ever encountered and I am glad I was able to be apart of it.
The month of September welcomes me with a bang. I may not earned a big amount like any others, but was really thankful for the earnings I made all through out the past month. It will be added for my 1bch goal within this year. I will share it to you on my 1st month report. I also want to thank all of my generous sponsors for the month of September. I never really thought I could get one, but having 7 was so overwhelming. Thank you guys. You know who you are and I will be forever thankful to all of you. Let’s give some love to all these lovely souls.
Forever Grateful
Last but definitely not the least, I would like give thanks to the ever generous Mr. Marc DeMesel for making these earning platforms (read and noise) possible. Also for opening our eyes in the world of crypto. It was only this year that I was able to get acquainted with cryptocurrency because of noise.cash. Obviously, I am a newbie to all of these, with that being said, I am very much willing to learn everything even though it will take some time.
That would be all for today, because I am saving the rest for my next article. Thank you everyone for always reading this far. I know everything would be impossible if not for you all. God bless us all!

My Customized Crafts
What’s up beautiful souls? A lot of you already knows about my handmade crafts, as I had mentioned about it every once in a while. For those who haven’t read about it yet, you can check it ***here***. So today, I am going to share to you about my made to order or customized design my clients has requested for the past years. Ever since I started doing this kind of crafts which is felt crafting, I can no longer recall how many people were requesting for a customized order. Of course I was so happy because this was only supposed to be a hobby for me. A hobby which I enjoyed doing. Earning from it becomes a bonus. https://read.cash/@yhanne/handmade-with-love-aba70a2a
I posted most of my crafts in my shopee account last 2019. The good thing about using shopee was that I can use my account by selling my items at the same shopping for my personal needs a.k.a. shopee budols. Of course during the first year there were only few who inquired about my items. And then finally I received an inquiry requesting for a customized design. The client wanted a helicopter design keychain to be used as souvenir. I asked her to send me a sample picture and then tell her I would try to copy it. I gave her a few days for it to be done. When I showed her the final product she liked it and proceed on purchasing it.
It took so long before I got another one. The next customized order I received was phone cases with different designs. These were all made from felt cloth and specially handstitched. The client requested different cartoon characters and included some of my personal designs. She sent me the pictures that she wanted me to copy. I did my best to imitate the characters in every details, not only for my client’s satisfaction but mine as well.
Last year 2020, I have mentioned on my past article about how business opportunity comes along with my hobby. It started when I posted my felt christmas ornaments in the facebook market, and since then inquiries started to come from time to time. Along with questions if I do customized designs and all. I entertained some but I focused on my regular designs. Customised design will take up one week or even weeks depend on its details and the number of orders. Unlike with the my regular designs I can make of up to 30 pieces a day, since I was doing it for a long time. But a good friend of mine, well actually she was my classmate in high school sent me a message, asking me to make a customized design for her older sister. Since I also knew her sister, I didn’t refused. I just told her to wait for some days before I can be able to do it. And before the deadline comes, I finished it just in time, I agreed to meet with her sister who was living near our area. The next morning her sister Anne, updated me with her new christmas tree together with the customized ornaments I made for her.
This year, someone inquired in my shopee account for another customized design. I think it was June. She asked if I can make a peppa pig and her classmates characters into a felt ornaments, since she was planning to put up a Peppa Pig and friends theme for her christmas tree. I looked up and searched in the net for the simple designs, because complicated designs will really took long to make. First, I made a sample of each characters and showed it up to the client. She eventually loved it and the next thing was, another order was done. On the following month, she again contacted me, and requested me to make a disney princesses ornaments. Since she was a regular client I didn’t say no. When I showed her the final product, I can say that she was so satisfied with it and she ordered right away. Just last month she gave me a message and sent me a picture of her christmas tree which include all the customised felt ornaments I made for her.
Final Thoughts
You can really earn a decent money from felt crafting because the price of each was a little pricey, since it will take up a lot of efforts before you can perfectly made one. My only edge I guess was that I offered it in a much lesser price. From what I have seen in some sites, they offered the same product as mine at around 35 pesos ($0.7)to 50 pesos each.($1). That was a little expensive for me, so last year I only sell them at 20 pesos each ($0.4) and I gave them an additional discount for wholesales order. This year since the raw materials price got a little higher, I have to to sell them at 25 pesos ($0.5). It was actually fun making these customised designs. The fulfilment I felt everytime I was able to copy the desired characters my clients want. To end this article let me share to you what I am planning to put up on my christmas tree this year.
Our very own BCH. Hurray for that. I still have a lot of time to make more of this in the next couple of days.

Let’s eat some Sweets
The current pandemic has taught us a lot of things. It taught us how to spend our money wisely. Because many businesses were closed a lot of people also lost their respective jobs. But despite all of these circumstances, we stay stronger than what we were on the past years. This situation also allowed us to learn new skills and talents and some of these were used for our own advantage. My sister in law, who is a public school teacher learned how to bake a cake during those times. Even though she was busy in her online classes, she still find time to create and baked some yummy cakes which was posted on her facebook account. Later on, she had an additional extra income because a lot of people were ordering cakes from her. She was not alone though, a lot of people acquired new skills such us cooking, and baking during this trying times. Eventually they used these skills and earned by selling it online so that they can still sustained the needs of their family.
Anyway, let’s go back to my article topic. As I have mentioned earlier, I was inspired by my sister-in-law’s eagerness to learn new things while staying at home. Since we don’t have an oven yet, I learned that I can still make a cake without baking it. Steamer is the key. So in the next few days of ongoing lockdowns last year, I started watching youtube tutorials about steaming a cake. A big thanks to all these tutorials, I was encouraged to make one.
***Moist Chocolate Cake***
I decided to steam a moist chocolate cake for the New Year’s Celebration. But first I bought the basic materials needed to make one, like spatula, mixing bowl, measuring cups, and strainers. Then I bought the baking ingredients for my moist chocolate cake. When I got all the things needed, I started following all the basic steps from the tutorials I’ve on youtube channel. I can’t exactly remember the page where I’ve watched it, but if you want to give it a try too, you can just type “how to steam cake” on the search button. There will be a lot of tutorials you can find, but almost all of them were just the same. Just be careful on following the correct measurements of each ingredients so that you’ll be successful on your first try. So on the eve of New Year this year, I got to steam my first moist chocolate cake.
*Chocolate Cake Balls*
Since my first chocolate cake was a success, I wanted to learn more on how to make easy desserts. It was only for family consumption but since Valentines was approaching, I tried making chocolate cake balls. Again, when you don’t know how to cook and make something, youtube is the key. I don’t like making things complicated, so I searched for the very easy to follow steps on the search button. I bought all the needed ingredients and followed every single step for my chocolate cake balls. I think it was a success too because my two boys keep asking for more. Ah too much sweets is bad for teeth so they drank a lot of water after consuming it.
*Anniversary Cake*
Ok so the next occasion on the list was our 9th wedding anniversary. We had a very simple celebration because I think by that time, there were positive cases recorded within our village. The homeowners association prohibited mass gathering for everyone’s sake. Of course we followed, so we celebrated our wedding anniversary this year in a very simple way. My husband cooked my favorite pancit and I also steamed our anniversary cake. Just a very simple one.
*Banana cupcake*
Aside from cake, I also tried steaming a cupcake. And one of my favorite one is banana cupcake. Steaming banana cupcake was just like making puto. They almost had the same procedure but you have to add more minutes in steaming the banana cupcake for a great result. I usually make this when we have a leftover banana or when the banana is overripe already. The taste is much better when you used it. For extra sweetness you can add some chocolate chips.
*Final Thoughts*
In these modern times, we were all lucky because there were so many platforms we can reached out in order to attained new skills. We can even cooked our favourite dishes in no time, thanks for the online tutorials. It will definitely boosts our confidence in cooking and at the same time saves our money instead of buying it from the restaurant. I know we can’t make it perfect at first try, but if we keep on trying, success will surely come along.

Bedtime Stories my Kids Love
Do you remember the nights when your parent or guardian would often read you a book before you fall out to sleep? Well me, I don’t. Probably because my parents separated when I was young and I grew up in the care of my grandmother. My parents got back together when I was in grade three, and that’s when they had my youngest brother. They live for a couple of years and then finally separated for good. Looks like forever doesn’t exist with them. Well it was much better than being together but had an endless misunderstanding. So going back to my first question, since I didn’t got the chance to to heard any bedtime stories at night when I was still a kid, I promise myself that my kids would definitely hear one every night.
Reading bedtime stories to my kids was fun. They love it when I am into character while I was reading the story to them. That was why whenever we were at the mall, we would always drop by at book sale or any bookstore and I let them chose the books that they want. There were so many books to chose from, but books from Adarna House publishing has a great stories specially for little children. Let me share to you some of my kids all time favourite storybooks we bought from the bookstore a few years back. The stories were in Tagalog but some had an english translation. I will share a brief summary of each story and the moral lesson from it. So let’s begin.
***Si Ching na takot sa dilim ( Ching a boy who is afraid of the dark)***
The story is about a boy who was really afraid of the dark. He would always thought that when its dark ghosts, and other scary creatures would attack him that was why he always carried a flashlight with him. The story ends very well because he was able to conquered his fear. This was my 1st son’s favorite story, because just like Ching he was also very afraid of the dark when he was still young. He was inspired on how the boy Ching was able to overcome his fears.
***May Higante sa Aming bahay (There’s a giant inside our house)***
The story is about a father who’s coming home after working overseas for a very long time. Matt Matt is the youngest son in the family and it’s gonna be the first time he will see this giant in person. He only saw him in the picture, and seeing him bigger than the picture makes him scared of him. The story ends up with Matt Matt realising that the giant in their house was no other than his father. My youngest son loves this story a lot, that he always requested this story from time to time. I think he can relate well with Matt Matt as their father was also working overseas.
***Si Pilong patago tago ( Pilong, the boy who loves hiding)***
This story is about a boy named Pilong. Pilong is a one naughty boy who loves to hide. He likes to prank everyone in the family by hiding to them a lot. Until one day his prank gone wrong. The moral story of the lesson was that, pranking is good but don’t overdo it for it might comes back to you.
***Ang Barumbadong Bus ( A Arrogant Bus)***
When I was in my last year of college I was working as a part time teacher aide in a private kindergarten school. That was where I heard about this story. One of the teachers read this story to her class and it became my favourite too. Years later, when I saw one on the bookstore I bought it instantly to share it with my kids. Ok to give you a brief summary of the story, this is about a bus named Kas. He was not afraid of everything and run as fast as he could that was why passengers were scared of him. Everyone was trying to stopped him but he didn’t listened. And because of his stubbornness something bad happened to him. The moral lesson of the story was being too proud of yourself will never do something good to you. We should stay grounded no matter how high we reached the top. Because being boastful will definitely destroy you in the end.
*Final Thoughts*
Reading a bedtime story to our kids has a lot of benefits to our young ones. This will develops their imagination and curiosity about a certain things. It will also teach them a lot of moral lesson they will be needed in growing up. And most of all it’s a great bonding moments between the children and parents or guardians.

It’s all about the Money
September 27, 2021
Well hello everyone! Today is surely a one great day. Earlier I decided to watch the popular series Squid Game. Thanks to my beautiful besfriend for giving me an access to her netflix account. I can watch it with no hassle and ads. I am reading a lot of reviews about this series. I just hope my heart will be ready for all the heartbreaking moments I might encounter while watching it. Upon watching the series trailer I assume the show has a lot to do with money while playing a game. I just finished the first episode, and it was really an interesting one. Since it involved a really big sum of money, please allow me to answer some questions with regards to money. I found this random question on this ***link***. You too, can give it a try. The answers to my question was purely base on my personal thoughts and experiences. So without further ado, let’s start. https://printdiscuss.com/money-conversation-questions
Which do you enjoy more, earning money or spending money?
I would definitely enjoy spending it. They say that money can’t buy happiness, but for me it’s not. When you want to buy something and you worked hard to get it, there is a satisfaction and it makes you happy. Being greedy is another case that would ruined everything you’ve work for. Earning money on the other hand is quite hard. Imagine going to your work early and going home late, doing this and that. But at the end of the day you can’t enjoy money if you don’t have money to spend. So I would probably enjoy both.
Do you save enough money? What saving goals do you have?
We do have enough savings last year. But because of the pandemic it was all spent up. My husband wasn’t able to get back to work for about a year and 3 months. It was also so hard to get a job during those times, so we didn’t have any choice but to used all of our savings. But right now, hopefully we could save it again. I am now starting to save extra money that I have. And thanks to these two platforms (read and noise) all the bch I earned is in a safe place. Saving goals? I really want to travel next year. So yeah, half of our savings will be spend if travelling would be allow.
How often do you think about money? Is money a stressful part of life?
Everyday. 😅 As I am the one in charge in budgeting most of the expenses inside the house, of course I think about money all the time. Thinking about all the incoming bills, our monthly amortisation, insurances, and a lot more makes money a stressful part of life. Honestly if only we can get all things for free, we wouldn’t have any problem, but life is different now. Everything has a price you need to pay.
What does “money doesn’t grow on tree” mean? Do you agree?
For me it basically mean, you need to work hard if you want money. There is no such thing as easy money. Even the richest people on earth struggles a lot in order to be successful. With all the perseverance and determination they got what they wanted. So yeah I would agree to this statement. And every cents is very important too, so we shouldn’t waste it. Spend those hard earned money wisely.
Imagine you have won a million dollar, who will you tell? What will you do with the money?
I would absolutely be jumping for joy if ever I won a million dollar. It’s 50 million pesos if you are about to convert it in our fiat. So it’s a big amount that can help a lot of people. First I will tell it to my husband. Actually, my husband and I would always have a conversation on what to do if we won a lottery. We already plan on where to spend the rest of winning money if in case we won. Of course, we will definitely share it with the rest of the family, buy a car, buy an investment, buy a much bigger house and the rest will be given to a charity or foundation that aims to help unfortunate people.
Closing Thoughts
While I was watching Lisa’s money dance performance on youtube this quote caught my attention “***Money is a terrible master, but an excellent servant”.*** It simply means we shouldn’t let money control us, though money can really be a good servant because you can use it to buy everything you want and needed. But being so much in love with money will eventually ruined your life. We have also heard a lot of broken relationships that involves money. At the end of the day, a good relationship is still better than having a lot of dollars.

Spending Sunday with Family
Sunday is the best day of the week. Do you agree? Usually everyone, though not all, doesn’t have work during this day, thus this is the great time for family bondings, outings, gatherings, or even a date with your special one. Everyone got excited for this day to come, because it’s the day where they can spend with their family. My husband and I used to date a lot on Sunday, during our boyfriend and girlfriend stage. I am sure everyone can relate to this. Of course you do? Yesterday, I was hoping we can get out of the house today and visit one of our favourite person in the world, my late mother in law. I have written an article about her. If you want to read about it kindly check this **link** https://read.cash/@yhanne/sundate-with-mame-remembering-loved-ones-on-sunday-43c7d8cc
Before we proceed to what I am going to share today, please give some love to all these lovely souls. They’re all awesome and great too. And also I would like to take this opportunity to welcome my newest sponsor. Thank you very much @Itsfarah for trusting and believing in me. Blessed you more dear.
***Sunday’s Best***
It was a fine Sunday afternoon, our favorite day of the week since we were going to visit mame my late mother in law at the cemetery. My husband Anthony, whenever he was on vacation, never missed every week to visit his favourite Mame in the wholewide world. Mama’s boy? Perhaps no, according to him, her mother sacrificed the most during their younger years. She worked hard so that she can feed her five children, all boys. His father on the other hand, base from my husband’s story has been a pain in the a** during those years. But of course Dade, my father in law has completely changed way before Mame was gone. You could tell that my husband, along with his brothers were super close to their mother. They treat her as the queen as she was the only girl in the family. And losing her few years back was really a painful one. So even though Mame was in a better place right now, Anthony and his brothers make it sure to visit her from time to time.
***Bonding Moments***
We were going to meet the rest of the family in the cemetery. Before we left the house, I checked the messenger if there was a pending message from them. When the lockdowns started last year, going to the cemetery was the only time my kids was able to go out. We were a little worried because the location of the cemetery was in San Mateo, Rizal. It was no longer part of NCR so we have to pass through some checkpoints before we can make it to the cemetery. Luckily, we never met unnecessary incidents with regards to checkpoints in the whole duration of lockdowns. When some of the lockdowns restrictions were lifted up, we always see to it that we can visit mame at the cemetery during Sunday afternoon. We love it there because literally it’s peaceful over there. 😁
We usually went at around 4 to 5 in the afternoon, by that time the heat of the sun wasn’t bad for the skin. We stay there up until the cemetery closes or when it’s started to get dark. There’s a lot of things that can be done inside the cemetery because of its wide area. There were a lot of kids playing and running. Some were bringing their bicycles, in fact my youngest son learned to drive his bicycles without its training wheels here. And if you want to burn some carbs you can also do jogging and walking along the area. The large area is good for driving lesson too, I even tried to learn, unfortunately I think it wasn’t my time yet. Sadly, driving lesson within the vicinity was prohibited now. Of all the activities I mentioned, watching the sunset stays the best. Upon staying in noise, someone shared that the person who loves sunset is called ***opacarophile***. Are you an opacarophile too?
***Missing loved ones***
It’s been three weeks since the last time we visit mame. I thought that we could make it today, but something bad happened earlier this morning. My brother in law and his wife are going through a bad situation. It’s very personal matter to share, but if she allowed me, I might share it to you. Nah, of course it’s their story to tell not mine. I just hope, everything will be fine in the next couple of days. The reason I mentioned them, because their lost son was also buried in the same place where my mother in law was buried.
*Closing Thoughts*
It has been said that “ The ones we love were never gone, they live forever in our hearts”. This is very true to everyone of us. We even celebrate our lost loved ones birthday as if they were with us. During all souls day, cemetery was always full of people and it’s been a tradition that has been passed to every generation. And as a parent I might also passed this kind of tradition to my kids and to their future families.

My Saturday Routine
September 25, 2021
Today is Saturday. Hooray it’s weekend! I can think of any topic to share right now. So I guess for today I am going to share to you what I did the whole day.
Before we start, please give some love to these beautiful souls. I will be forever grateful for all the trust and support they have given to me right from the start. Kindly check their profiles too, for more inspiring stories. 😍
This morning, I woke up a little late because finally it’s weekend, meaning there were no online classes. Usually on weekdays, my kids class starts as early as 730 in the morning, so I need to wake up early so that I can prepare the breakfast and the kids can eat on time too, before they could begin with the online class. So today, everyone woke up late. We only ate bread for today’s breakfast since I don’t have time to prepare for a heavy breakfast or maybe I was just lazy to do so. Lol. It maybe the latter. hahaha.
After eating breakfast, I rested for a little while, and then go out to buy some vegetables for pork sinigang(pork with tamarind soup) I am about to cook at lunch. There’s talipapa (small market) within our village, so whenever we run out of stock in the fridge, Kuya Rey’s talipapa was the place to go. I bought some kangkong (water spinach) okra,(ladies finger) tomatoes, and onions . I have the rest of the ingredients for my pork sinigang at home. I went back home and while I was on the way, I saw these beautiful mayanas plant from one of our neighbours. The owner must have a green thumb for growing these beautiful plants.
I was already near our house, when I heard a little meow, and when I looked around I saw our cat Kuring.I think he was out again and roaming around to look for a girlfriend.😹 I have already mention him in my past article. If you want to know more about him just click this ***link***. I carried and let go of him when we were at the front gate of the house. https://read.cash/@yhanne/pets-are-family-too-ceb6c502
When I got home I prepared the ingredients needed for my sinigang, while my eldest son cooked the rice. He started doing that when the pandemic started last year. He was 11 years old now, and I want him to learn basic household chores inside the house. Before I started cooking, I went upstairs and gathered all our dirty clothes. Yes, today is laundry day, and the sunny weather makes it perfect to do the laundry. After putting the first batch of clothes in the washing machine, I went downstairs, this time to continue cooking. And in just a few minutes more, it’s done and we’re all ready to eat our lunch.
In the afternoon, I watched my favorite noontime show, while doing some of my crafts. I was waiting for my husbands video call. Usually he called me right after he was done with his duty at around 11 in the evening where he was and that is 2 in the afternoon here in the Philippines. He’s in Seattle right now, and the time difference between Philippines and Seattle is 15 hours. But the itinerary of the ship where he is working now is Alaska Cruises, so there were times that when he is in Alaska, the time difference would become 16 hours. Kinda confusing right? How could it be when it was the same country but they have different timezones.
So after finishing our video call because he is now going to sleep, I continued working on my handmade crafts. I have a total of 8 orders in my shopee account in the past two days. I needed to make more of it, because I am assuming that by October there were be a lot of inquiries. I really hope so. Anyway the good thing about my product is that it isn’t perishable, so if in case no one will buy it, I can just store it and then try to sell it again next year.
Ok multitasker mom is here, because while I was doing my crafts, I was helping my youngest doing his activity in school. He had fun doing it while I was helping him out. We finished his activity and was able to pass it to his teacher via messenger before the deadline which is on Monday. Now we only have one more subject left to be done. I let him play with his brother and just resume answering the printed modules tomorrow.
After helping out my son’s with his activity, I went upstairs to finish my laundry. Good thing we have an automatic washing machine. It’s a big help actually because I just need to put some detergent and let the machine does it work. I only came back when it’s time to hang the clothes dry. Finally I was done with all my laundry for the week, and the next thing to be done was to prepare our dinner. After eating the last meal of the day, I watched tv, while looking at my noise and read account from time to time.It was like a routine too. The kids were playing lego by this time.
After playing some few more minutes, my eldest washed the dishes. My boys are responsible for washing the dishes. My bunso (youngest) washed it in the afternoon while Kuya (oldest)on the other hand washed it in the evening. I trained them this way so that when they grow up, somehow they know basic skills at home. After washing up and changing into their pajamas, the kids were now off to bed. I said goodnight to them and will join them in a little while. And that ends our Saturday, I hope we can go out tomorrow for our Sunday afternoon date with nanay.

Remembering Typhoon Ondoy
Hello everyone! How are you all? Honestly I was so busy for the past two days. There were a lot of inquiries for my little business because of the coming christmas season. The one I am telling about was my handmade felt crafts. If you want to know about it please click it **here**. So yeah, I need to finished it first, it’s kinda tiring, I mean my little hands was tired because I need to cut a lot of patterns and handstitched almost all of it. I am not complaining though, I am happy actually and looking for more satisfied clients in the future. Well anyway, I was thinking about what to write for today’s article, I was having a hard time of thinking what to write. Of course I am not having a writer’s block because obviously I am not a writer😅 I just love to share happenings in my life through writing😁. So today I am going to share to you my own experience during Typhoon Ondoy that happened exactly 12 years ago tomorrow.

Before we begin, let me greet these beautiful souls who never hesitated to give me their full trust and support. If you want to read more inspiring stories and articles you can just click their profile, and I promise you won’t regret it. And let me also take this opportunity to give thanks to my new sponsor @Freedom007 Blessed you more dear.
*Typhoon Ondoy*
On the day of September 26,2009, I woke up to a non stop raining. It was been announced by the weather forecaster that there would be a typhoon on that specific day. I don’t exactly remember what category typhoon Ondoy belongs to or how strong it was, but upon waking up, I just knew that the rain was pouring nonstop with some winds that was blowing hard outside the boarding house where I was staying. I didn’t mind though because I experienced a lot of typhoons since I was young. I prepared myself to go to work that time. I was working in SM Marikina which was just a walking distance from the boarding house. I was on closing shift so I left the house at around 12 in the afternoon. Since it was just nearby I got there earlier than my scheduled time. Because of the non stop raining, many closing shift employees went late and some reported they can’t go to work because there were no available public transportation. By this time, a lot of areas were flooded and that means a lot of vehicles cannot passed.
Since a lot of closing shift were not able to go to work, morning shift employees were requested to stay until the mall closed. While on duty we’ve heard a lot of news about the flooding happening in Metro Manila, our place was included. The mall’s location was just beside Marikina River so a lot of us wasn’t surprised by the flood ongoing since Marikina River tend to reached high level of water whenever it rained hard and then subsided on its own. What really surprised and get us worried was the continuous rain because of the typhoon and that the level of water from Marikina River reached the highest level. There was no chance that we could get out of the building because the floodwaters already reached the basement of the mall, which only means flood was all over outside. Our branch manager then decided that everyone should stay inside and that no one was going home.
*Stranded*
The thought of staying inside the building premises was much better than going outside where there was no available public transportation that would take you home. Also the floods were everywhere from what we heard from the news most specially those who lived in the lower area. We also heard from some of the relatives that they evacuated to a higher place, because the flood water inside their homes were rising higher and higher. But being stranded inside gave us also anxiety on what’s going to happened next. It was scary too.
The rain continued to pour, and from what we’ve heard the flood water was still rising. It was only after midnight when the rain stopped. Oh by the way all the tenants and customers that time were also stranded in the building with us. When the rain stopped, some of my colleagues and I went to the mall area to see what’s going on outside through the glass windows of the mall. We can’t believe that the flood water was really that high. The top of the highest tree near the river looks like water lilies. We got back to the office and rested for a while while praying that flood will soon subside. And God eventually heard our prayers because in the morning the water began to subside and everyone inside the building were all safe.
*Aftermath*
When the morning light showed up the next morning, my officemates and the rest of the employees went home. I, together with my two officemates walked home. One of them was my roommate and the other one is the owner of the house we were staying. It didn’t took us long to get home because as I have mentioned earlier the boarding house where I was staying was just walking distance from the mall I was working. The struggle was real when we reached the boarding house as there were a lot of thick muds all over the place. We can’t even open the door to get inside to see our things, we climbed up to the 3rd floor of the house using ladder. I was a little scared of heights but my adrenaline rush took over me. We managed to get inside the house and start recovering our things. Unfortunately the flood reached the second floor and some of my things were covered with mud and water. We started cleaning up all the dirty muds and flood water that went inside the house. It was really a sad day, but being safe and alive was all that mattered.

What a major throwback we had there. It was one of the natural disaster that I will never forget in this lifetime. I am glad that even though I was stranded, there was a shelter and food for us. I remember a friend who was stranded inside the jeep and was only able to got home in the morning without any food at all. Anyway, how about you? Do you have any memorable experiences like mine? Please feel free to comment down below. I will greatly appreciate it.

Never Stop Learning
*Not an Hindrance*
Yesterday, while I was helping my youngest son in answering his printed worksheets in Filipino subject, their lesson for this week is about understanding the main idea of a story by the way, there was this short story that they needed to comprehend. The story was about the girl who graduated cumlaude. The girl’s name was Mary Ann Rosuman, born and raised in Ilocos Sur. People were happy about her achievements not only because of her intelligence but the dedication she gave in her studies despite being different to everyone. Her disability didn’t stopped her to be on top of her class. With the help of the people around her, she was able to finish her college education with flying honors. Quite inspiring right?
*Free Education*
I’ve heard a lot of inspiring stories like this in the past. Stories of successful people who been into different situation in life but was able to overcome the hardest challenges and well now enjoying the fruits of their labor. Yesterday I watched my favourite noontime show on tv. In one of their segments “Bawal Judgemental”. Just a quick information about this famous gameshow on tv for non Filipinos *“Bawal Judgemental” is a game where players are tasked with the responsibility of identifying the correct choices among a group of people with distinctive characteristics, past experiences, and emotional revelations. credit* ***here*** https://eatbulaga.fandom.com/wiki/Bawal_Judgmental
So going back to the show yesterday, what really catch my attention while watching the show was the girl who was a part of choices, The girl’s name was Bel, she was the first one to be interviewed, and was revealed to be a an scholar of the show since high school up until she graduated in college. She gave a short message to the show expressing how grateful she was for giving her the chance to be educated. She also mentioned that she wouldn’t be what she is or whom she is right now because of the free scholarship she got from the show. Truly she is an inspiration to everyone because she didn’t waste the opportunity given to her, instead she studied a lot harder in order to reached what she is now.
*The Message*
Not everyone are lucky enough to continue their education up until college. I know a lot of people specially in my province, where they were contented with secondary education and starts working at a very young age to helped their families. While some started making their own family right after high school, one of the reason they stopped getting higher education because they needed to focused on their kids.
Being poor should not be an excused to continue our education. If people like Maryann despite being a person with disability can strive with her study, I am sure you can too. Bel on the other hand got a free education because of scholarship. There were many foundations and institutions that offered free scholarship for those who deserves it. If you didn’t get a slot for these scholarships I know you can still find a way to get a degree. As they say “if there’s a will there is definitely a way”.
*Education knows no Age*
Another reason why some didn’t want to finish their studies because of their age. They thought they were old enough to be in school. That’s a very wrong perspective I must say. I also went to college late due to financial problem. I am 3 to 4 years ahead from most of my classmates, it didn’t bother me at all, because my goal is to finished college no matter what and also few of my classmates were much older than me too. They gave me inspiration to go on despite the many challenges.
*Closing Thoughts*
In this generation, where we have an easy access to everything, I hope the younger ones never stopped learning even though they are facing a lot of difficulties in online learning. It’s true though, that face to face has a great advantage than having an online classes. But in these uncertain times it’s better to attend online classes and learned something than learning nothing at all.

Pets are Family too
Hello guys! How is your day? Today will be a very busy day for me. I received few customized orders of my handmade felt crafts. You can check my article about **here**. I need to finish them ahead of time so that I can make more stocks for my regular designs. I woke up early today too, for my kids morning online class. And then in the afternoon, I will go to my kids school to pick up the printed modules for week 2 and 3. I also received payment for my client’s order yesterday and will book the item later after lunch. And lastly I need to go to bank to pay our monthly amortisation. A busy day ahead indeed.
Anyways what a long introduction we had there, for today’s article I would like to introduce to you our beloved pets. I had already mentioned our dog Yumi in my previous works. If you want to read about it you can check it **here**.
But before we begin, please check these beautiful ladies works too. If you want to get inspired and learned a lot, kindly check their profiles. They’re all amazing!😍
*Yumi the Dog*
Yumi got in the family three years ago. She is a mixed breed of pomeranian and poodle. But sometimes she looks like a japanese spitz. We got here from a friend’s family. She is a very sweet dog and she liked to be pet a lot. When she was still a puppy she loved to play a lot. There were times when my kids were playing basketball in the garage, she was also there playing with them, like she was part of the team.
Our yumi likes to travel a lot too. Every Sunday we always went to cemetery to visit my late mom in law. So in the afternoon, while the rest of the family is preparing to leave, this little ball of sunshine was on the front door already waiting to be called. The moment she heard the word “gusto mo sumama?” (you want to come?) she immediately wagged her tail, like she was telling us it a yes. There were times that we won’t allowed her to come with us, but once she knew she is allowed she would definitely be the first one to get on car.
*Our Cat Kuring*
Our Kuring is a male straycat. When the pandemic started last year, while Anthony and I were hanging outside the house for a while, we found this cute little kitten roaming around our street. My husband is naturally a cat lover, while I was not. She liked this particular kitten because it has the same color of his old cat years ago. Maybe he missed it, that was why he named it after his old cat, “Kuring”.
At first, I didn’t want it inside the house, because like I said earlier I am not into cats. It’s not that I hate them, I just don’t feel like taking care of them. But my husband’s was so persistent in taking the kitten inside and was convincing me hard that we take Kuring. Eventually I ended up saying yes. It took only few days, when I found myself attached to our little kitten. Because of his cute size and beautiful “pretty please” eyes, I instantly became a cat lover.
*Another Cat Taba*
Taba is short for tabby cat. He was an old tabby cat who’s also roaming around our street. He is big cat indeed that was why we called him “Taba”(fat). We just knew that he belongs to Tabby cat family because of its characteristics and size. He was a one hungry cat that even though he has eaten his share, he keeps on meowing for more. Taba doesn’t stay in our house l, because oftentimes he and Kuring fought a lot. It seems like someone is territorial huh! You’ll know already when he was coming because of his loud meowing.
*Part of the Family*
I know everyone can relate when I say that pets are part of the family too. We care for them just like our real children. There was one time our Kuring didn’t came home for 3 nights, we looked out for him in every street inside the village. We really thought something happened to him, because it was very unusual for him not to go home for days. Then one day he just showed up. It seems that he was stuck in somebody else’s house for days. I was glad because he came back home.
*Ending Thoughts*
These pets, even though they can’t talk, their actions shows that they love us too. They gave us joy and somehow can take all the stress we might feel at the moment. We’d like to take care of them like they were our children. We looked at their welfare like a real family should. We’re also worried when they are sick or when something is not right. Having them is also a big responsibility. Taking care of them is not just about giving them food and shelter but also giving them the love they deserve.

Handmade with Love
Today I want to share to you all about my hobby that keeps me busy specially this Christmas season. I already shared it in my previous article click **here** if you want to read about it.
So before we start let’s begin first with checking all these beautiful ladies works. They are all amazing too.
*Felt Crafting*
I started creating crafts using felt cloth way back in 2018. I got interested with it, because it seems easy to make for me and the materials used can easily be bought in any online shops. After buying some felt cloth and the things I needed such as needles, threads, a pair of scissors, glue gun with glue sticks and some beads, I started making my first project. I was happy because I was able to make one, even though it wasn’t perfect at all. In the same year, my youngest son turned 7, so I had an idea to make a diy souvenir made from felt cloth. A few months before his birthday, I kept looking at the internet for a simple crafts that I can make to use as a souvenir. I end up making keychains, and finger puppets for the loot bags.
The picture above was the actual photo of the felt keychains I made for my son’s 7th birthday souvenirs. It was just simple and not so perfect but the efforts I exerted makes it more special. So moving on, I continued making felt crafts, most specially during my free time. When I felt bored, or I am doing nothing. Felt crafting in short has made my boring life productive. Lol.
I had made a lot of felt crafts for the past years out of boredom, but of course was enjoying a lot while doing it. I had made cellphone cases, passport covers, and even hair clips. Most of the time, whenever I had a hard time thinking on what to give on someone’s birthday, I ended up giving some of the handmade crafts I made which the celebrant appreciated too. Because there were plenty of them already, I tried posting and selling them on my shopee account and very much thankful when someone appreciated by purchasing it.
*Business Opportunities*
One of my favorite felt crafts is making christmas ornaments. At first I only put it on our christmas tree for additional decors. And then last year, I also added it on my shopee account too. it It was September last year, when I focused on making these ornaments. I also posted it on the facebook market and I received a lot of inquiries. But since it is handmade, the production lead time is two weeks that was why only few got interested. Mostly wanted the items on hand. Those few who got interested patiently waited for their items to be delivered. It was another great opportunity to earn during those times because as I have mentioned from my earlier articles, we were deeply affected by the pandemic. My husband wasn’t able to be back on ship because cruise ships travel has been banned around the world. So while waiting for his next contract, he tried applying for some part time, unfortunately hotels and other work related company stopped hiring too. So basically, our financial aspect has been greatly affected.
Eventually, the next following month of September last year, we received a lot of inquiries and they were willing to wait for the final product. Anthony and I worked harder so that we can finished all the items on time. So many sleepless nights but it was all worth it. All the hard works was payed off in the end. The money we earned might not be the same like my husband used to, but at least it covered all our pending bills at home that time.
*Present Time*
Now that the christmas season is getting near, I am now preparing for another season of busy days and nights because of the coming orders (crossing my fingers). I had started posting it on my shopee account and facebook market, and I am receiving few inquiries. I hope I can also reach the number of orders we had last year. So guys now you know, if I can’t be able to update an article here might be because I am busy with my little business.
*Final Thoughts*
There was only one thing I want everyone to know, that in every problem we will be encountering in the future do not lose your faith in God. It has been said also that “when one door closes, another one opens”. So never ever give up. You can use your hidden talent to earn and never be afraid to explore, you will never know how great opportunities are waiting for you if you keep on going. Just like what we’ve through last year, who could’ve thought that my love for felt crafts would eventually helped us when we were facing financial crisis.

The Pain of Miscarriage ( Part 2)
Hey what’s up everyone? Today is another day to give thanks to the Lord for all the great things He’s done for us. So for today’s article I am going to continue my painful story about the our angel that we never got to see. If you want to read the first part you can check it ***here*** https://read.cash/@yhanne/the-pain-of-miscarriagepart-1-2009bfe8
`Before we start a big shout out to all these beautiful ladies. Kindly check their profile too for more wonderful writing. They’re all amazing too.`
*Miscarriage Journey*
The moment my OB-Gyne confirmed me about my pregnancy case,(blighted ovum pregnancy) I started surfing the internet about it. And honestly it was all bad, that’s why I stopped looking for articles that explained everything I need to know about it. There wasn’t any successful one and all lead to miscarriage. I was totally hurt by it and knowing anytime soon I will be one of them. On my last transvaginal ultrasound appointment, the radiologist confirmed what I am afraid of. All the hopes of being a mother again was all gone. I don’t remember crying on the hospital while I was leaving with my two boys. I guess it didn’t sink on me yet or I was indenial that time. It was my first born who keep on crying when I broke the news on him that the baby didn’t make it. He keeps on crying that was why I keep calming him until we got home.
When I got home, the spotting became heavier as I already stopped drinking the medicine my doctor prescribed me on that day. The bleeding and the pain in my abdomen was so painful like I was having dysmenorrhea. When I noticed how heavy my bleeding was, that’s the time I realized I had miscarriage and tears just keep falling from my eyes. I was talking to my husband via video call and told him about the sad news. I can’t stop crying that time and he keeps on assuring me that it was okay and everything happened in our life has always a purpose. He was also sorry, that he can’t be with me on that sad day because of work overseas. I understand it well, since he was the breadwinner in our family.
*Surgery*
I informed the family as well about my miscarriage, they were all sorry about the loss. I even talked to my husband’s cousin, and told her about what happened. She also had three miscarriage in the past, same case as mine that was why she told me to stay strong and that everything will be fine. She told me to informed my OB about it and that I needed to have surgery so that there wouldn’t be complications in the future. Honestly I was afraid and thinking the procedure would be painful that was why I haven’t informed my doctor yet. In the end, I took the courage to informed my doctor about my latest ultrasound result and instructed me for an appointment right away. After checking me up, she scheduled my surgery on the same day.
After fixing the admission procedure in the hospital and leave my kids to their grandfather’s care, the attending nurse took me to the emergency room. After a while later, they transferred me to the operating room where the D and C procedure will be done.
*A D&C, also known as dilation and curettage, is a surgical procedure often performed after a first-trimester miscarriage. In a D&C, dilation refers to opening the cervix; curettage refers to removing the contents of the uterus. Curettage may be performed by scraping the uterine wall with a curette instrument or by a suction curettage (also called vacuum aspiration).* *credit to americanpregnancy.org* https://americanpregnancy.org/healthy-pregnancy/pregnancy-complications/d-and-c-procedure-after-miscarriage/
I was really scared about the whole procedure but I also keep on praying for God’s guidance over me. I waited until my OB came together with the anaesthesiologist. They injected the anaesthesia in my dextrose and the whole process began while I was sleeping. I woke up after an hour, then they transferred me to the private room. The surgery wasn’t painful because of anaesthesia, but the pain of knowing my undeveloped baby was gone in my body was still unbearable. I stayed in the hospital for two days and went home after the bills were settled. My doctor checked me up before I went home and scheduled me for the follow up appointment.
*Family Support*
With the help of my family I was able to cope up with the loneliness I felt during this one painful tragedy. I was very thankful to my husband’s love and support even though we were miles away. To my in laws family who visited me during my stay at the hospital, most specially to my sister in law who was with me during the surgery. I am forever grateful. My family from Bicol was also sending me messages that lifted my spirit high. And of course to my one true bestfriend in New York who never failed to give me her full support. With all these people love, I finally accepted the loss of the angel we never had.
*Closing Thoughts*
We may encounter painful events in our life, but with the help of the people surrounds us, we can cope with it easily. I know it will be hard at first, but keep in mind that everything happens for a reason. And all these painful memories will keep you stronger as days goes by.

A quick trip at Vanishing Island
Hi! What’s up everyone? I know today noise.cash is having it’s bad day. I need to refresh my phone’s browser every once in a while for the wallet thing and then when I thought everything is set, it’s starting to have error again. Speaking of refresh, I was thinking of what topic to write today, then as I was browsing on the picture on my desktop I saw my 2018 picture folder. There I saw our quick trip to vanishing island located in Malilipot, Albay. It was a well day spent and very refreshing.
So before we start, kindly check these beautiful ladies works too. They’re all amazing.
*Summer Vacation*
We went home in the province of Albay, the home of Mayon Volcano, during kid’s vacation at school, also a month after my miscarriage. You can read my story about it. **The Pain of Miscarriage(Part 1)**
I rested for a month after I had an operation due to my miscarriage in 2018. I was very glad that it was also my kids vacation at school, at least I was able to have enough rest and peace of mind because of the recent loss. My mother also sent someone from the province to be with us for a certain period of time. She was with us for a month to helped us do the household chores and all. After a month, she needed to go back home because of the scheduled barangay election that same year. My mother was worried about me and my kids. I just had an operation and according to the oldies I needed to be fully healed before I can start doing the household chores. She encouraged me to spent the rest of the summer vacation in Bicol. I agreed of course.
*Finally Home*
I missed home. I missed the smell of fresh air and missed everything about here. This is where I grew up and studied up until my secondary education, went to Manila to pursue college and the rest is history. 😅 I stayed at my mother’s house with my kids during the whole vacation. (Oh by the way she was already separated with my father years ago) We visited my father from time to time too, while we were there.
Since that was summer, the weather was extra hot. I’ve heard about this new vanishing island within our city and I have always wanted to visit it. And so we planned it right away. The only way to get there was to ride a boat because it was in the middle of sea. Luckily, my mother’s partner knew someone who could take us there.
*A day at the Island*
We left the house early on the day of our excursion, because we were told that the best time to enjoy the island was when it still low tide. We arrived at the Tabaco port excitedly, and waited for the boat that will take us to the vanishing island. While we were waiting for the boat, we were welcome by beautiful Mayon Volcano.
After a while, we were all inside the boat we rented and enjoying the smooth ride for about 30 minutes. When we finally reached the island, I was very fascinated because of how beautiful the island was. It was indeed in the middle of the sea, that is why this island can only be seen during low tide and vanished when it’s high tide. There was nothing to be seen on this island except for some few floating cottages for rent. There isn’t any food store too, that was why it is advised that you brought some food or else you’ll end up swimming with an empty stomach. We didn’t rent the cottage since the boat we rent will stay with us, up until we got home. We immediately jump off the boat and started exploring the island. While the kids started swimming too.
We had fun swimming in the clear water for the next couple of hours. We also found some starfish, the other one was color pink that reminds me of Patrick from the Spongebob Squarepants. We took some pictures of it and let them back to the sea. We ate our lunch and then put on some sunscreen every once in a while for a better skin protection. And lastly I took a lot of pictures from my dlsr, so that I can have remembrance of this wonderful island.
We didn’t stay for long because the island was starting to vanished because of high tide. And the exposure from the heat of the sun was also bad for our skin. When people were starting to leave, we also prepared leaving the island. It was indeed a refreshing day for us. We’ll definitely coming back next time and enjoy the other islands nearby.

The Pain of Miscarriage(Part 1)
*Welcoming another blessing*
In the third week of March 2018, a few days after Anthony left the country for work, I am a little worried because my monthly period was delayed. A week prior to that I already took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I tried it for the second time then I saw two red lines, only that it was a little blurry. Just to make sure, I bought two more pregnancy tests for a clearer results. The next morning I took the pregnancy tests twice and this time around, I saw two red lines very clearly. Its POSITIVE. Another baby was on the way after 7 years. I shared the good news, of course with my husband and the family. Everyone was happy and wished for a healthy pregnancy.
*Pregnancy Journey the 3rd time*
Since we were now living in Caloocan, the first thing I did was to look for a trusted ob-gynaecologist. I asked Grace my neighbour and she recommended me her doctor. She gave me her doctor contact number and I immediately get an appointment for my first check up. On my first meeting with the doctor, she asked some questions with my past pregnancy. She also advised me to have an ultrasound and prescribed me some vitamins and medicine to take and scheduled me for the next check up. I showed my ultrasound results to my OB on my second check up and as usual she told me what to expect in the coming days. I am so excited with my pregnancy as much as I am during my first two. This time we are hoping for a baby girl. I never had a hard time during the early phase of my pregnancy. No morning sickness, and no weird cravings. I only felt sleepy as always.😅
The next two weeks has been good. Everything was fine, until I went to the restroom and saw some blood on my underwear. Of course I became worried and silently panicked. After calming down for a while I began searching the net about blood spotting during pregnancy. So many articles were written that says it’s quite normal to have spotting during the early stage of pregnancy. This was new to me too, because I had never encountered it in my last pregnancies, though I have a friend that experience it a lot during her pregnancy before. I calmed down a little and waited for my next appointment with the OB-Gyne.
The spotting stopped for a while and came back the next week. I informed my OB about that and instructed me to have another transvaginal ultrasound and given me an earlier appointment. When I had the result of my ultrasound I went to my OB and gave it to her. The moment she checked the result of my ultrasound and looked at me, I know there was something wrong. She honestly told me that my pregnancy is considered as blighted ovum.
*Blighted Ovum*
What is blighted ovum the definition is below.
*“A blighted ovum, also called an anembryonic pregnancy, occurs when an early embryo never develops or stops developing, is resorbed and leaves an empty gestational sac. The reason this occurs is often unknown, but it may be due to chromosomal abnormalities in the fertilized egg.”* **credit to Mayo clinic for the definition**
In my case, the number of weeks on my ultrasound result does not match with my last monthly period. On my second ultrasound, I should’ve heard the 1st heartbeat of my baby, unfortunately I heard nothing. I was saddened about it. My OB then cheered me up and said that she had other patients that has the same case as mine but went through a successful pregnancy. She told me to continue drinking the medicine she prescribed me on my first visit. The name of the medicine was dyrogesterone/duphaston. This medicine was usually prescribed to pregnant women so that the baby will have a strong hold in their mama’s womb. In layman’s term it called “pampakapit”.
***Lost Angel***
Although I was a little sad because of what my OB has told about my pregnancy, I stay positive until I went home. The spotting continued the next day, and goes on for another day. I was getting worried for the next couple of days because the bleeding won’t stop and it gets heavier each day. I informed my doctor about it too and advised me to have another ultrasound. On the day of my ultrasound appointment , I am still hopeful that my case is just one of the normal pregnancy spotting. And was very positive that this time I would hear my baby’s heartbeat. The last hope was gone when the radiologist told me that we can make another one. Right there and then I knew that the baby inside me didn’t developed and anytime soon I’ll have miscarriage.
To be continue…..

Job description: Full time Mother
*Opening Thoughts*
I never really wanted or ever dream to become a full time mom in the future. I was always dreaming on becoming a working mom to my kids someday. Right after I had graduated from college and got my first job I already set my goals that if ever I got a family of my own, I will continue working. This was originally my plan but little did I know things will change according to God’s plan.
*Becoming a mother*
I got pregnant with my first child while I was working in one of the leading malls in the country as a customer service representative. I was already a regular employee that time. I took my maternity leave a week before my due date. During that time maternity leave for normal deliveries took 60 days. I gave birth to my first child via normal delivery that was why I took care of first born during his first two months. Together with my mother who went to Manila from the province to accompany me. My husband wasn’t with me that time, because he was out of the country for work.
I was with my child during his first two months, and it was one of the happiest time of my life. I did enjoy being a mother to my newborn child, from changing the diapers, all those sleepless nights, and preparing milk for him. It was all new for me. Though I wanted to breastfeed him, unfortunately my body didn’t produce enough milk for my little one. It was a little disappointing but learned to let it go afterwards. I went back to work right after my maternity leave ended. I never wanted to go back because I am going to miss my little one, but of course it can’t be or else I would be fired from my job.
*Working Mom*
For a new mom like me, returning to work after giving birth is the hardest. While at work, you suddenly missed your bonding moments with your baby. There were times I wished I could sped up the time so that I could finished my duty and went home right away. A few days after I returned from work my husband returned home from work overseas. When my mother who was taking care of my little one went back to the province, my husband took in charge in taking care of our son. We weren’t married that time yet by the way so we were living separately. After my mother went back to the province, Anthony(my husband) and I decided to live together with his family. He stayed for two months vacation and then went back to work overseas. We hired a nanny back then so that someone could take care of our son while both of us were working. It didn’t last tho, we both decided that I should quit from my work. I rendered my resignation to my supervisor and after a while it was approved.
*Full time mother*
After resigning from my work, I was very busy taking care of my then 5 month old son. It was fulfilling because I was able to witness every milestone he reached every month. It was all fun actually, but also very tiring. I was enjoying every minute of it to be exact. But of course, when there were happy moments, there were also not so happy ones. Whenever my child wasn’t feeling well it made me weak too. Most specially those times when he can’t speak yet and all he does was crying. But as days goes by, I’ve learned many things with regards in handling babies in these situations with the help from the people around me. Time passed by quickly, and my first born celebrated his first birthday.
A month after my first born turns one, I got pregnant with my second child. I became worried at first since I still have a child who needs a lot of attention but an incoming baby was still a blessing. After many months I gave birth to my second child. It was the hardest because I now have two babies that needs to be taken care of. Then I was fully breastfeeding my second child, made it more a lot harder. Eventually I learned to embrace everything, from that moment on, no matter how hard it gets, I just keep on enjoying it. I had always this one motto in life, that no matter how difficult life is, I know it will still worth it in the end.
*Closing Thoughts*
Though I never wanted to be a full time mother before as what I have stated earlier I would say that there wasn’t any regrets and I didn’t feel bad about leaving my job for my kids. For the past decade of becoming a full time mother, I’ve encountered a lot of hardships but eventually overcome it. For me to enjoy what you were doing and being contented with what you have will make your life happier. To be able to witness your child’s improvement and growing up like you wanted them to be, will be an achievement for me in the future.

Rules to Follow
Second day of School is Up
The first day of online class went okay. Yesterday, I got up very early to went to my kid’s school to picked up the printed modules for week 1 and 2. When I left the house, I woke up my youngest son and told him that I will be back in a while. I returned home as fast as I can so that Athan (my youngest son) could take his breakfast before the online class started. I made it 15 minutes before the online class started. Athan took his breakfast first, wear his proper attire for the online class and got his cellphone so that he can joined in the class meeting. The teacher was late for a few minutes and she was very sorry for that. By the way my youngest son is Grade 4 now, when he was in Grade 3 they only have one teacher for all subjects. This year though, there is different teachers for every subject.
On the first day of school they met their teacher in Science and wasn’t able to meet their adviser due to the schedule class time was the same as the live program of the Deped (Department of Education) which I have mentioned in my past article. So going back on the second day, Athan was able to joined in the class meeting with their EPP subject teacher. Just like on the first day, the online class was into introduction that was why the teacher met the two sections in one meeting. Athan belongs to section 2 and the other class that joined with them was the section 1. It was one hour of discussing this and that and the class ended. There was an hour break before second class begins. Athan took a bath before the next class started. The next class then started, this time they met their Math subject teacher. The teacher did the same as the EPP teacher, since she will be the Math teacher for both sections 1 and 2, she meet them in one class meeting. So far the online class for two days went well, while Athan was paying attention to what the teachers were saying I was on the other side of the room listening too, and taking out notes on what to expect in the coming days. The teachers also comes up with some rules to follow while they were on online class.
Classroom Rules
***Be on time***. Even though the class set up is online, students were encouraged to join the class on time. The students should be also well prepared before the online class. Well prepared means they have eaten their breakfast before the class started and the things they will be needed during the class such as the printed modules, pad paper and pens.
***Be respectful***. When someone is speaking everyone should listen, stop interacting and making unnecessary noise. Being respectful means you should be kind to other’s feeling. So while the online class is going, students should pay attention to what the teacher is saying. Everyone should mute their microphone so that they can hear what the teacher is saying. You can only unmute it when the teacher told you to do so.
***Be quiet***. This is a must especially when the online class is going. Just like when we are in a normal school set up, we are always required to stay quiet when the discussion is ongoing. In order for the students to understand what is being taught.
So for now these were just the simple rules to be followed by each students while having an online class. After mentioning the said rules, there were some things the teacher reminded her students of. One thing, I remember very well is about the printed worksheets or modules. She said that it was okay for them (the students) to ask for their parents, brothers or sisters help to answer the worksheets but make sure that it would be them (the students) who will write it on the answer sheets. According to some teachers, they’ve encountered a lot of answer sheets last year, where in it was the parents or others penmanship not the students. So this year, they would all be really strict with regards to that.
Final Thoughts
Wherever we go, there would always be rules and regulations implemented. Whether it is in school, in a company, or even at home. Parents also sets a rules to be followed inside the house. By simply following the rules, it will not only makes us a good follower but also a disciplined one. Nowadays, young people tend to break rules and faced consequences in the end. The rules for online class, I have mentioned above was very easy to follow and I believe the students can easily adapted to it. With proper guide and reminders from the teacher I know they can go on with their classes very smooth and will not encounter any problem at all. And lastly the parents or the guardians will make it a lot easier for the students to abide with all these simple rules.

Regina Rica-The lady on Top
A day at Regina Rica
If you are a devoted Catholic you would probably heard or been to this peaceful place located in Tanay Rizal. It’s a great place to meditate and pray. We’ve been to this place for a countless times already but we’ve found ourselves coming back. But last year we didn’t had the chance, obviously because of the pandemic. A lot of people were visiting this place from time to time, since mass gathering is strictly prohibited during lockdowns we just let the year 2020 passed without visiting this special place. Last May this year though, when quarantine within our area was lifted (from ECQ to GCQ) we took the chance of visiting Regina Rica. After setting up the date where everyone in the family(my in laws) were available we finally agreed on this particular date.
Getting at Regina Rica
It was one sunny Friday morning when we all got ready for this long awaited visit. The location would take 3 to 4 hours drive from Manila. It’s gonna be a long ride, and all of us were very excited. By the way, the kids were with us and it was their first trip going out of Manila since the pandemic began. My in laws were living in Quezon City while we were from Caloocan, so we agreed to stopped and met at a restaurant located along the way to have our lunch.
We left the house at around 10 in the morning. We dropped at the nearest gas station nearby first and then headed to our first destination. We encountered some light traffic along Marikina going to Masinag. But right after passing Cogeo the vehicles started to lessen, thus making our travel a little faster. Since we were out of the city, the trees, and the mountains slowly showing up. It was a very nice view while we were inside the car. Who wouldn’t love the beauty of nature right?
Meeting Halfway
We met the rest of the family exactly at lunchtime. There were some restaurants available along the road but we always chose this particular restaurant. They served many dishes, all tasty and delicious at a very affordable prices. We ordered bulalo soup, pansit guisado and fried chicken for lunch. We finished our food in no time and it seems everyone was satisfied with it. We rest for a little while, enjoyed the beautiful scenery surrounding us and took some photos. Some were also busy updating their status in social medias because even though we were surrounded by mountains the signal isn’t weak. After resting for a few minutes more, we then proceeded to our final destination, the Regina Rica.
The Lady on Top
We arrived at Regina Rica location at around 2:30 in the afternoon. The health protocols were strictly observed and implemented during our visit. We filled up some registration form for contact tracing before we can finally get inside the place. Also everyone was advised to wear face mask and face shields. There was no entrance fee needed, only the parking fee was collected upon entrance. By the way since this place is considered sacred, everyone should follow the proper attire. Ladies were not allowed to wear sleeveless and anything shorts. And if in case you are wearing an inappropriate attire they will let you borrow a shawl to cover up your shoulder and legs.
The above photo will welcome you upon entering this solemn place. Before you can finally reached it, you’ve got to take a lot of steps going on top. Going up seems a little hard but it was fun and with all the beautiful flowers planted around the stairway it feels like you were entering a paradise too. Just some few steps more and you’ll finally meet Mama Mary holding baby Jesus. It was very huge, like the first time I saw it, I was speechless and mesmerised. There was actually a chapel inside that big statue. And yes you can go near it too. We prayed for God’s guidance and protection inside the chapel. We asked for some forgiveness for all our shortcomings with the Lord, more blessings for the whole family and of course for the divine healing this world needs. They also have a place where you can light a candle. They sold candles in different colors, where each color represents different intentions. After spending a peaceful time with the Lord, we took some pictures of the whole place. It was so good and we were all loving the peace and serenity of it. It was indeed a very nice afternoon. We didn’t stay for long because were travelling back home. So after taking a lot of pictures, we went back down to the parking area, so that we can go back home before it gets dark.
Going Home
It was a very nice getaway even just for a day. All the stress we’ve been through were gone and instead it was replaced by hopes and positive feelings. It was always that way, whenever we had the chance to visit Regina Rica we ended up going home feeling blessed. That is why we were planning to go back again next year. And yes after a few more hours of travelling we got back in Manila just in time before the sky turns into night. We dropped by at my in laws house at Quezon City and ate dinner. We rested for a little while and then finally went home. It was a very long day and everyone was so tired yet very happy for we were able to see the lady on top.
