One day escapade away from the city (Tagaytay trip 2017)
Hello lovely people! I really can't think of article to share today so when I opened our pc I looked at my save photos on it. I save some of the pictures taken from my broken DLSR camera. In the pictures library, there were some folders that I had made in order for me to know what's inside it. Daddy's vacation 2017 folder caught my attention. When I checked the folder, our photos from our trip to Tagaytay showed up. Last month I wrote an article about our roadtrip to Tagaytay as well, but this time let me share to you our Tagaytay trip back in 2017.
Last September 2017, we decided to have a one day staycation in Tagaytay. Hubby was on vacation that time that's why to make up for the days that he was gone he comes up with this treat. It was supposed to be a 2 days vacation, but we have to shorten it because his oldest brother has a birthday celebration somewhere in Cavite the next day, and the following day the kids will go back to school. Days before our chosen date I looked up for some nice but affordable hotel near the Picnic Grove because we wanted to stroll around the area too while staying at the hotel. I checked at the Agoda website and after opening it, they suggested a lot of good priced hotels. I checked it one by one and chose the one that has a good reviews. I ended up booking in View Park Hotel. The location of the hotel is just in front of the Picnic Grove. If you want to check some nice and affordable hotels you can check it in this link.
Then on the day of our trip, we got early because it was Saturday, we were anticipating for some road congestion because it was weekend. We left our house at around 8 in the morning because our check in starts at 12 to 1 in the afternoon. We arrived at the hotel's location around past 11 in the morning. We parked the car and proceed to the hotel's lobby. The hotel's staff told us that we can take our things inside the room. The room that we booked was just right for us but it has a balcony and we got a big discount upon booking early. Also free breakfast was included in it. After taking a rest for a while, we planned out our itinerary for the day.
We passed by at the Our Lady of Manoag Church before we got into hotel's location, so Anthony being a religious one suggested that we should be there first. And so he took us there, we offered prayers, took some photos and the kids was able to have a taste of strawberry taho. I don't know if it's the same as the one in Baguio but it tasted good.
We got back to the hotel, and ate our lunch. The next stop was Picnic Grove which was just in front of the hotel. It was a walking distance that's why we didn't bring the car with us. This was actually my second time being there, the first time was back when I was still single with my co workers. But as a family this was our first time together to be at the Picnic Grove. There are some activities to be done inside the park such as horseback riding, zipline and what I like most was the breathtaking sight of Taal Volcano. We took some photos and since the weather was very hot that time we didn't stay for long.
We walked back to the hotel and then rest for a bit. We changed our clothes and proceed to our next stop. Our next destination was People's Park in the sky. We didn't bring the car again, so we took the jeep that will take us to the highest park in Tagaytay. There was an entrance fee and then the view from the top was so beautiful. You can clearly see the tiny buildings and houses from the top because the weather was great. I was actually teasing my husband because he was a little scared of heights. We enjoyed the wonderful scenery and well we took some photos together.
After sometime all of us were exhausted and tired of walking so we then decided to get back at the hotel to rest. The kids were planning to swim, because there was a pool inside the hotel too. My husband and I accompanied them. We allowed them to swim for a while because the weather was becoming colder probably because it's getting darker.
After changing their clothes, we drive to the nearest mall to have our dinner, and then goes back to the hotel again so we can have our full rest. The next morning the hotel staff reminds us of the free buffet breakfast. We were lucky because every Sunday they have a buffet breakfast for the guests of the hotel. And who doesn't love an eat all you can breakfast, of course I do. When our breakfast was done, we went to the mini garden of the hotel where we took some family pictures together.
We checked out at the hotel at around 10 am because were on the way to my husband's brother birthday celebration. Even though it was just a very short time, we enjoyed our little escapade away from the city even just for a day. Sometimes it is good to treat yourself once and a while because memories like this will lasts for a lifetime.
Thank you once again for reading my post for today. This was supposed to be published yesterday unfortunately our computer was having tantrums up until this morning. I can't upload the pictures, glad this time it's back to itself.
All pictures are mine.
Keep growing as a whole family 🤗
