As the years go by we forget many things, stories, situations, or maybe people, sometimes we forget not because we want to, but because life goes so fast and new things always arise, that keep us there in suspense, attentive to the changes, and that makes us forget a little of the past. In this article, we will be taking a trip through the past, but with a contemporary critique of what we forget, or do not know.
Many people abhor history, however, the great philosopher Cicero said: "If you ignore what happened before you were born, you will always be a child". The truth is that I totally agree with these words because we cannot spend our lives ignoring what happened in the past. After all, that helps us to understand where we come from, what happened before we arrived, where we are and possibly where we are going, then it sounds very sad that someone speaks ill of History, something very necessary for Humanity.

When we were in school, and we saw the subject of History, the teacher always talked about those great civilizations of the past, all fascinating, impressive, and above all with an amazing level of progress, because despite not having the new technologies, they managed to make great works, which some are still standing, and that is amazing.
One of those wonderful civilizations, is the Romans, these great people who believed they were the owners of the world, for having one of the largest empires in history, certainly are to admire everything they did, the inventions, the characters that came out of there, however, I must admit that history has disadvantages like everything in life because everything depends on how they tell you and especially the ideologies of the person who is telling you, often details are left out, perhaps by laziness or not to tell the true reality.
Returning to the subject of the Romans, in History, they were great warriors, most of their battles were won, but they also had their dark sides, a lot of madness within the famous Empire, however before they "Took" the power, and created this Empire, they had to exterminate so to speak a civilization, which existed many before them, and historians say that the Romans simply copied many things about the culture of this forgotten civilization, let's talk about them.

These were in charge of governing the rules of the cities, of facing any violation of the "Laws" and punishing those who infringed them. Their system of government was monarchic, a power that was inherited, however, there is something curious in all this, in the V Century, these people decided to have a more participative system of government, which many would call "Oligarchic", in which they had Popular Assemblies, Senate, and Magistrates, a way for him to have more "Power" and "Participation".
Women were seen before the law, just like men, which means that they had the same freedoms, they were not excluded or prevented from performing the activities of men, they knew how to read, write, they could have a social life, they were not forced to be at home being housewives, even they could decide the name of their children, do sports activities in gyms, among other things, something quite uncommon at that time.
Unfortunately, nothing is forever, and that is how this incredible civilization was conquered, destroyed, and gradually exterminated by the ambition of others, by the power and sovereignty to control everything, each of the Etruscan cities was conquered, then looted, even destroyed, they were granted Roman citizenship to anyone who wanted it, but this was a vile way to erase their origins, who they were.
The most curious thing was that the Romans adopted many customs of this great civilization, from the way of dressing to the famous activities of the Romans, the fight of the Gladiators, already existed, that was performed by the Etruscans, with slaves warriors, it was a way to honor the soldiers who died in battles.
