A Reality-Laden Story - From Having It All to Having Nothing

At some point in our lives we have had to think ahead, think about our present, evaluate how good or bad we are and what we need to do to improve where we are. But some situations put us in test mode, situations that make us think if we are capable of facing what awaits us, they say that life is about making decisions, that is why some decisions weigh more than a bag full of stones. There is nothing left but to consider leaving everything we have, and start in a new place from scratch, so begins the story of this young man, who one day went to bed without knowing that when he woke up he would be in a storm, which only indicated that the only way to survive was to escape.
Michael was a boy like any other, he had a very quiet childhood, it was not perfect, but he enjoyed it, he traveled all over his country, he tasted all kinds of food, in his house, nothing was missing, although his parents were not millionaires, they made an effort to give him everything he needed, he studied in public schools, but he learned more than he imagined, he had good teachers and maybe he was not the most intelligent of the class, but he made an effort every day to get good grades to avoid problems at home. As he grew up, he learned the meaning of life, what he saw in the street, made him mature more than usual, something he ignored but not for long.
When he reached adolescence, his life took a 360-degree turn, he began to change schools, he began to study in a private school, he was still in learning mode but he did not take seriously many things in life, as everyone knows, when we reach this stage of life, is when insecurities arise, and more when it comes to physique, but he ignored that, he only focused on living, on enjoying what life gave him, however, something was beginning to change in his country, those beautiful memories that he had in his childhood, were just that, memories, because every day everything became more difficult, even to leave his house, everything was already complicated, the country was beginning to enter a crisis: Political, economic and social, but as a good teenager, he did not see the future yet, he only focused on the present.
Something that he would regret a few years later when he graduated from high school, he began his most difficult crusade, the question that torments every recent high school graduate: What am I going to study? A question that can make your head hurt, because you hear so many things, study this career because it gives money, or because you have more jobs, unfortunately, that was when he did not know how to approach this issue with intelligence and cunning, he did not think ahead, and his life began to become complicated, the situation deteriorated every day, the money that his parents generated was not enough to make ends meet, the market that they made every day decreased more, he had to study immediately, he applied for 3 different university careers, but in none of them he was able to stay, that was when he began to improvise.
And like a ship without direction he sailed, and in no port, he could anchor, when you don't know what you want in life, you will never be able to stabilize yourself and that happened to him until a few years later he found that career that touched his heart and soul, even though the crisis had already begun, even though in his house they stopped eating meat or chicken, to start eating sardines which is a kind of fish, he decided to take on this challenge and studied to be a Professor, only that destiny or the universe had other plans for him, everything started very well, he spent several semesters with the highest grades in his grades, it seemed that he was born to be a Professor, only that the poor young man did not know that another decision was coming, which would not be easy or fun at all.
A year before the arrival of the Coronavirus Pandemic, he saw it very difficult to graduate when it was estimated, the University where he began to delay its students, because of 2500 that it had, there were only 200 left, the vast majority had decided to reiterate and emigrate, and the situation of his country did not give for more, the premise was to study or look for a job to be able to eat half, many decided to leave and not have to be in that doubt or concern. The boy talked with his parents and expressed his desire to emigrate, he could no longer stand what he saw, what he lived, he needed a change in his life, although he knew how complicated it was to emigrate only with a high school degree, he took his challenge.
He left behind everything he had, for a future that perhaps for many is uncertain, however, he does not regret having done it, although today his life is not the best, although he is still in the process of moving forward, of progressing, he has more opportunities than in his homeland, his quality of life begins to improve, and perhaps sometimes nostalgia takes over him, because he misses where he was born, it is not easy to get used to a new city, to new customs, to new cultures.
Even so, he remains firm in his ideals, in his dreams and goals, he knows that maybe it will cost him a little more than he thinks or wants, but that's life, nothing is obtained overnight, he always thinks about his history, he always keeps it present, because he never forgets where he came from, where he is and where he wants to go, maybe he is not the perfect man or the luckiest, maybe he still has a lot to learn, to study and live, but he is grateful to live, to the universe and God, for having put in his way wonderful people, who have given him a helping hand, he does not regret what he has done in life, because thanks to this he has learned, he has matured and sees life from a different perspective.
Your message to everyone reading this is very clear, you have to take risks, you have to understand that when things don't flow, that when that river where we are does not allow us to advance, we have to find another cause that, if you allow us that, we cannot fight the current all our lives, let's not get stuck, Let's look for other ways that allow us to achieve what we want, life is about hard work, dedication, effort, and sacrifices. Maybe we have to leave behind everything we had, for having nothing, but that is temporary, the material recovers, peace, tranquility, and quality of life sometimes not, that's why we must think ahead, not just focus on the present, maybe we are fine today, but ... And tomorrow?.
